We came to bowl and barrel for my son’s 24th birthday. I will say that there was pros and there was cons as well. The things that we like the most was the bowling itself was fun it was intimate the drinks were pretty good however, they are pretty pricey and the bartender was definitely not friendly. Otherwise, the other staff was pretty nice. I’m not sure if I would come back again or not maybe but it won’t be at the top of my list but it’s definitely OK, intimate and a fun place just not the top of my list of places, mainly due to the prices of the drinks and the unfriendly bar tender. I think if you get to order from your waiter from your seat will be better. We had to wait for our bowling aisle to be ready. One more thing to keep in mind is once they have your aisle ready your time starts immediately and they do not tell you that so you could lose 10 minutes if you’re sitting at the bar waiting on a drink that means you only have 50 minutes left to bowl on top of that if the bowling alley goes down, they do not restore your minutes that are lost from them fixing the lane so those are some things to keep in mind it’s timed bowling and our lane went down twice but we didn’t get our time lost back.

So, I typically try to be fair in my reviews; but this was a bit out there. To say the least, I'm pretty highly disappointed. I tried to call multiple times to see about making a reservation, and the phone just rang endlessly. So, I figured why not stop by when Google shows that the place is "not too busy". We walk in and once we get a hold of someone, we're then told they're booked for the entire day for the next 6 1/2 hours. I was also given the impression that this was a "classy bowling" venue. Refreshing, I've never seen that before. Immediately upon walking in I see what appears to be a swarm of teenagers noisily carrying on at every lane, most not even bowling. The photos I see posted on Google had to have been done by professional photographers. The place is not well lit at all. It looks dark and dingy inside. The food and drinks I could see that the patrons had looked average at best, not like the delectable options shown in some of the reviews. I suppose I managed to stop by on the worst day I could've, but I definitely won't be back. Hopefully you have a better experience than I did.

Went bowling with coworkers! Was a nice, clean, place with good vibes. Very classy. There is an open bar and a server that walks around to order food. Shoes were in good condition. Ordered meatballs ($20.00 for 2 flavors). They were Korean BBQ and Steaksauce flavored. Very savory, soft, and delicious. Coworker ordered crab hush puppies (not sure of price) that were warm and crispy. It was paired with a sweet butter sauce that was delicious and complimented nicely! Parking fills up fast but there is a large, easy to access, free parking garage less than 5 minutes away by walking. Had an issue where I lost almost 15 minutes in a game because the pins got tangled and no technician came down for a while to repair. Also took a while to get service to order food or close tab, but usually that can be taken care of by going to the front and asking directly. Otherwise, great place for bowling with other great restaurants and shops surrounding.

I recently hosted a corporate event with over 100 guests at Bowl and Barrel and wanted to recognize Ingrid, the venue manager, and her amazing team. They were super professional and paid attention to every little detail, making the whole event a seamless, successful experience! The food and drink selection were great as they had a variety of tasty dishes that catered to all preferences. All in all, Bowl and Barrel exceeded my expectations, and I have Ingrid and her incredible team to thank for that. They truly made our visit special, and I can't wait to come back soon.

Great atmosphere for a fun night out. Be sure to make reservations in advance if possible. My hunny and I went there as part of our date night on a Thurs night. Service was pretty good. We had an hour reservation at 7pm and got to our lane at 7:30pm, as the front desk girl had seemingly lost our check-in card temporarily. The food was tasty. We had the pretzel and burgers-in-a-bag. Don't go here planning on eating a full entree meal unless your in the mood for some tasty bar foods for your meal. Also, don't go here thinking you'll be getting any kind of professional bowling experience. The lane approaches were dirty/sticky, the rental shoes were dirty/sticky, bowling balls were dirty and the lanes were rather dry. Again, all in all a great place for a quick hour or 2 of fun.

Visited Bowl & Barrel for our anniversary. We wanted to try something new this year. I made an early reservation and had to change it a couple of times due to traffic, staff was so helpful when changing the reservation. Once we arrived we were greeted immediately by the staff and they got us accommodated quickly. Once we went to our lane our server was also very accommodating. We didn’t have food because we already had dinner reservations elsewhere but we did enjoy some drinks. Over all this is great spot for parties, date night and our hangouts. Music was great as well. Enjoyed the vibe of the place.

It was a place where everyone was there ,but everyone was minding their own business . The food I had was the burger sliders and they're really good ,and came out in a timely manner . The service was amazing if you needed someone they were easily accessible. over all my experience was a 10/10 even though I can't bowl .

My wife and I hosted our son’s first birthday at Bowl and Barrel. The whole team was amazing from start to finish. Ingrid the event sales manager was great from beginning to end and made the whole reservation and experience go smoothly. The waitress the day of (apologies as I can’t remember name) was amazing as well and did a fantastic job with the entire party. All the food was amazing. Well worth the money spent on the food/drink party packages. I over ordered and they provided to go boxes for all food leftovers. Truly no complaints. Great job Bowl and Barrel

This place has great potential, but lacks when it comes to customer service, presence, and quality. Came here with my boyfriend on a Friday night and we were both extremely disappointed. The price tag was high, but the service and attention to detail was poor. I don’t want to think that this was a race thing, but it seemed that most of the black couples were neglected, but our white counterparts were engaged with and served immediately. After paying our $127.00 bill, we’ve come to the conclusion that we will not be returning.

Nice place to bowl with moderate level drinks. Not a place for any top shelf drinks, nor would they know what to do with them. They served me a 15 year old scotch in a fresh hot glass. Very good bar food as far as sliders. The pizza was not too good. Not sure if it was the topping, but the bread was more cardboard like. Great place to enjoy bowling with the team and have fun moments if you are not expecting good food and just regular / average beers. The serve teams were nice. They do get busy. They made it very easy to get bowling shoes.

Incredibly fun atmosphere and great food. I visited as a part of a work function. There was tons of food, drink service was terrific and we all had a blast. The bar was limited on whisky options but deep on everything else. The lanes were fun but don't expect a bowling alley level of quality. The lanes are for having fun but were not evenly oiled and there are few options for balls at each lane. Overall it was still a very fun time and I'd highly recommend for large groups.

Cool place; however, has really gone down over the past two years. Issue one, computer kept messing up pin count. It would add or not add pins to score and even fail to register spares. Service is horrible. They probably lost out on $400 from our group in drink orders as it took 60 minutes to get our first order complete after many “hey where we ats”. Price is very high for the service and issues. It is sad, as this place once was really enjoyable. Last item, music is very ghetto these days or at least when we were there. Nothing but hip hop, no variety.

  • Sarah

Great atmosphere to bowl and great service. They bring you your shoes to your lane and you get a dedicated server for your group. Make sure you reserve ahead of time as the place is quite popular. Now my favorite part, the FOOD!! Everything we ate was delicious!! Better than most restaurants!!! We didn't get to try the pizza bc there was an hour wait for it to be ready-- this was disappointing, especially since we went in a Thursday night. If you're an avid bowler, know that the pins are attached by strings at the top.. which is a little funky. Lol.

  • Brian J

Spent $60 dollars for an hour with 2 pairs of shoes for my wife and I. Facility is really nice and more quiet than your typical bowling ally. Location is definitely more upscale as well. Parking was about $8 dollars for an hour and a half on Sunday night. All together it is more pricy than your typical round of bowling but the upside is you play as many games as you want in the hour or whatever you got. Definitely prefer this opposed to some other bowling locations I’ve been to me will be back.

Went for a work event. Cute little bowling alley with a bar in a shopping center. It was cool. The food choices are slim and overpriced in my opinion. The mini hot dogs and charcuterie board were the best items. Drinks weren't that strong. Way more ice than drink. Service was EXCELLENT though.

Great vibe and atmosphere. Staff was very attentive and pleasant to work with. I had a large party and easy to reserve lanes to celebrate a birthday. The food was phenomenal , such a great change from the traditional icky bowling alleys. The bartenders served drinks quickly. I recommend coming early because parking was slightly inconvenient but safe. I highly recommend going there.

Had a party for my Husband's 40th birthday and everything was amazing! The staff were all friendly and very attentive. We had a group of 20 plus and they took care of us with ease. My only suggestion would be to have appropriate containers for left overs. We had lots of food left over but the containers provided were not adequate to hold our food so we had to waste a lot of food which I felt awful about. Other than that great night, great bowling and lots of fun. I will most definitely plan other events here.

Fantastic experience, outstanding customer service. Saw some friends having fun here on Facebook, so took my wife on a date to check it out. Had a slight communications issue when making my reservation, however, but quickly resolved and not a big deal. While there the manager came and found us and personally apologized for the issue and went above and beyond our expectations to insure we had a fantastic experience. Wow! Overall, great ambience, drinks and food. Look forward to going back with friends.

Great decor and friendly staff but it's pretty crowded and that makes it hard to talk with your group. Food was only okay and for the price kinda underwhelming. Overall it's a fun time with great atmosphere but not a place to go on a date.

When you have to pay $5 an hour to park, you're getting off on the wrong foot. We went when it was $10 per hour to bowl. I would never pay the full rate $36 per hour to bowl there. It's not conditioned as a normal lane. After 3 or 4 frames we realized the correct approach is to throw it as hard as you can and hope the stings " lasso" some pins on the way down. Really cool atmosphere but I won't be back.

We visited Bowl & Barrel the other day and it's safe to say, it won't be our last visit! The experience was a harmonious blend of top-notch bowling and gastronomical delights. The bowling lanes were impeccably maintained, with smooth pin resetting and an easy-to-use scoring system. The vibrant atmosphere, complete with ambient lighting and upbeat music, made every strike and spare feel like a celebratory moment.

Cool Alley in all but really not worth the price. Everything is way overpriced. The bowling pins hanging from streams, which interfere with your gameplay accuracy. I almost had multiple stiles and the pins basically aren’t falling due to the strings. Not a bad place. Don’t get me wrong. If you’re in to spending a lot of money to bowl at a BASIC bowling alley then this is the place for you. I grew up bowling though and this place is barely worth 3 stars so I gave it 2.

  • Timothy Hofsommer (fatebeats)

More upscale style than the average bowling alley, which works well for the more "grown-up" atmosphere intended. Decent selection of local beer on draft. I forget the number of heads, but I'm thinking around 10. Food is of appropriate quality for the price, and again, compared to the average bowling alley, the menu is made up of more than hot dogs and chicken fingers. Worth a look if your party enjoys bowling and are looking for somewhere to start your night out.

  • Daniel Brooks

Awesome place to come bowl and have fun.. Total of 14 lanes.. The staff is top rate and very friendly and helpful. They are at the top of their game. So glad I choose to come bowl here while my wife was at a staff training here in the same area. Great and awesome.. Will be back in future visits.. They get you set up and you are free to just bowl and dine and drink and enjoy. Come give them a visit.

Came here for a work function. Appetizers were good, and pizza was meh. The service should have been better given how few people were there. Everything for the lanes is controlled by someone else meaning you cant edit anything. Also the pins dont react like traditional pins since they have strings on them. Wouldn't come back.

If you are looking to have fun, have some drinks and enjoy time with friends. I would recommend this place. Just reserve a lane before you get there so don't have to wait to play. Or if want just some drinks, the atmosphere is good for that too. This is not a restaurant, so don't expect the best food. This is not a professional Bowling alley. So don't expect a professional Bowling alley. Is a place to have fun!

Great place to bring family and friends. Small and intimate spot in Citycentre area (located closer to Beltway 8 by Queensbury Rd.). The food is oaky and the staff members are friendly. I will definitely recommend for a small outing or get together. Again place is small so I don’t recommend a large bowling tournament to host here. Max lanes are 14 so get here early on weekends and happy hours.

  • T. Anderson

AWESOME PLACE!! The drinks were a tad bit over priced, the food is really good. I came to have a bonding event with my wedding party and it was a Great event. The Manager Kendell is an awesome person. When our lanes were given away he jumped right in to correct the situation with a smile! Keep up the great work and we will definitely be back!!

Bowling bars are cool, and this one was good. The drink I had was not good though, and way overpriced . $14 for a terribly sour ungenerous sized margarita makes me sad inside. Someone else had a mushroom appetizer that was apparently very good. So that balances things out a little.

This is a wonderful high-end-ish bowling alley with bar and restaurant. I really like the upscale feel and fewer lanes. It is much less crowded than most bowling alleys due to being a smaller bowling alley--which I really like. The food is good and the staff are great.

  • Dhrumil Panchal

Great ambience. But for ones who are specifically looking to bowl shall have neutral experience as the bells are tied to a string which sometimes makes you avoid the strikes and your score. The prices are moderate during weekdays. Can recommend for one game and beers.

Don't come here if you truly intend to bowl. The lanes aren't oiled, the pins are string set and the shoes don't slide. It's not real bowling. It's extra large arcade bowling. It does have a nice a bar and aesthetic food though.
