November 28th early am truck wash. Great soap wash. But no rinse wash, it had the same soap coming out. So that takes the wash to half done. Was in Bay 3, moved to 2 to see if that rinse would actually rinse, versus putting more soap on. Same as Bay 3. So after the 12.00 to clean the truck, it needs a rinse. And no number to call to let them know. But the units and doors are way better than previous. Will not return there, have to go up to the Bowfort Road car wash, by the Petro Canada. Save your money and go elsewhere Well the reply was very nice, so I will bump the rating up. As a Bownesian I appreciate that.

Tried to get a car wash today, paid with my credit card, but then the carwash itself didn't work. Saw a "not working" sign taped to the coin accepter with a band-aid but thought it just meant not coins. Didn't work at all. I'd like them to reverse the charge but there is literally no contact info for this business anywhere -- no number, no email, nothing. EDIT: Thank you for the response and offer of a refund. I don't know how to send you my email without posting it publicly on here. Is there an email I can send it to?

I would really prefer to give a great review but no change machine is a deal breaker. I got in the lineup and then realised no change was available so I had to ask three cars to backup and move so I could get put of line. You owners should broker a deal with one of the business on the block to sell change to the car wash customers and post a sign. Also be warned theres no trigger on the spray wand. The second you put your money in the sprayer goes flying off the rack at full pressure lol. .

Great car wash…but make sure lever is on off position before you tap your credit card. I did not check this and as soon as I tapped the high pressure wand flew out of the holder and wrapped itself around my ankles twice. There is no handle to hold when washing. It could have been worse than the bruise I got. Could have been vehicle damage, head injury. So and I cannot stress this enough…MAKE SURE LEVER IS IN OFF POSITION PRIOR TO TAPPING PAYMENT CARD. Still I will use this car wash again.

This car wash is the most economical car wash I have found in Calgary. It has been the only car wash I have used for years -until recently. I would rate this car wash 5 stars if they had a machine that provide change. There are no near-by convenience stores where you could by something cheap in order to get change, and the near-by shops get snarky when you come in and ask them to break a 5 or 10 dollar bill. Sorry, but when I have insufficient change on hand I wash my car elsewhere.

Edit: updated to 3 stars, they added trigger wands and seems to be making constant improvements, will visit this location when convenient Specified hours are not accurate. Tried to wash my truck around 630am. It accepted payment but would not activate hose or any options on dial. Have been here a few times after seeing improvements, but it's still not there yet. I recommend driving the extra 2 minutes to the alternative washes and avoid the disappointment and wasted time here still.

The new automatic doors are nice, but I kind of miss the old yellow nylon ropes you had to manually pull to open and close the bay, something about how old school it was had some charm. With all the upgrades, wash time seems to be reduced but that is understandable. One bay seems to always be closed nowadays hence the 4☆ Dropping stars, put in money to only have the water shoot out of the top of the wheel where the hose connects. Kind of pissed about wasting money here

Dropped in for a wash and tapped both my credit and debt on the terminals card reader, the payment was processed for each attempt but the relay switch was not triggered to activate the water. Unfortunately, this place is a ghost town for an attendant and no contact numbers are posted anywhere. Management has added value with a considerable about of maintenance recently yet has a set-it-and-forget-it attitude toward their availability and basic customer service.

I’d like to redo my review… I had some money used up and the vaccum didn’t work 3X in a row… I couldn’t find a phone number but eventually found an email… they sent me my money back so I am feeling better about it all now… it was a short in the vacuum component or something like it … but they finally got back… and refunded me ! So it is frustrating… but email and keep at it … they eventually do respond …

We'll I met the new owner and such a nice guy. About two weeks ago the machine took my toonie but no water came out , the new owner gave me back my toonie and gave me an extra one which was so nice of him. I'll be spending it there anyways. You get longer washes there so better value, I just hope he doesn't shorten the times like the car wash up at COP

Best bang for your buck carwash! I feel I get way more time here then any other carwash I have been to. New doors and vacuums are also a great addition! Long time Bowness resident and will continue to support these guys for as long as they are around!! Highly recommend this place over other washes in this area that give you half the time.

Worst car wash experience ever! No options for wash, rinse, wax etc.. Not even a STOP option. Tapped my debit card to pay and the washing wand flew out of its holder almost hitting me in the head and hitting my car several times before I managed to grab ahold of it. Very dangerous situation!! Would definitely NOT recommend this car wash.

Went in the second bay. There was no "pre-wash" it was an option, it just didn't work. Searched specifically for car washes with vacuums and when I got there, the vacuum didn't have a hose. Also the foam brush didn't foam. Good only for a quick rinse of your vehicle. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Tried to get a car wash today. Paid $4 with my credit card and no pressured water or soap came out. Tried to use the foam brush and pressured bubbles and air came out. Did not want to try other bays for risk of losing more money. Would appreciate contact information from the owner.

The only thing good about this vacuum was the sign that said they were new, one started with no suction and the other would not start. So my advice is the owners need to sell this location as Bowness deserves a location that knows how to run it properly. Paul. Waste of time.

Great pressure. Clean, fresh brushes. Super sudsy soap. 4/5 times the bays are clean. No phone number? Who cares? But hours of operation would be nice. That said, she seems open every time I have been there; so less than four stars - pump the brakes and add a star or three.

Usually would boost this place but the last two visits have been thumbs down. Stall 2 from the north won’t take a credit card, stall 3 the soap doesn’t clear out of the lines. Drove home with bubbles still on the car after putting more money in to try and wash it off.

No change (coin) machine available. Some of the control boxes seem defective because they eat up the money / jam up / don't start. I just lost a toonie and the woman in the next bay lost 4$. Given there is no attendant present (and no phone # posted), bye-bye $$$...

This place is timeless! Favourite carwash in town. It's old, you manually lift the doors, no trigger on the wand, you insert loonies and or toonies (no minimum $2 to start) and its a Bowness Icon. Oh ya. and it gets your car clean! Please don't ever change!!

The suction of the vacuum is not as strong or as long as it once was but the do it yourself car wash aspect is tops. It is cheap and effective. The only downside is when it gets busy, you will not have time to dry your car but it is a small price to pay.

Great place to get your car washed, they have a great vacuum system that gets in all the tight spots. It is a coin operated car wash with Debit/ Credit machines being installed in the near future. Has become my new go to spot to get my car cleaned!

This place is absolutely terrible!!!! no pressure whatsoever comes out of the “pressure washers” and forget about the options. All you have is soap. you cannot change it to rinse wax tire cleaner. Anything is just pure soap Also, the doors

They've made the doors automatic now and I love it. I don't have to try and pull them up or down. They still keep it nice and clean as always and now there's more options to pay. You can use change or tap to pay for your washing needs

Was in a rush to get my car washed and Google said it was open. I got there and it was closed for renovations. No website, so a good business should be updating it's hours on Google when it's closed temporarily for renovations.

Vacuum wouldn't work tap on the card reader took $20 and only turned on once, couldn't find away to get ahold of anyone to get my money back. Also the pressure on the spray wand wasn't strong enough to actually clean my car.

Had a great experience at this car wash! Glad it's open again after the cold weather and I was able to wash my car and mats under $5.00! Was also able to vacuum the inside of my car at this location. I'll definitely be back!

This place is normally great, but today, after paying $4 on the debit machine, there was NO SOAP coming out of the brush, so just used the brush alone. First bay on the right. Then stuck with paying another $2 for rinse!

Cheap as you'll get in this city for a self serve carwash. Nothing fancy but kept clean and works well. Tip at night if they look like they're closed just lift the door and go right in. They are open 24 hrs 7 days a week

The new low pressure wash wands are terrible, they take forever to clean. I've been using this car wash for close to 20 years and it was the best in the city, unless the pressure goes up I may never go back.

Unfortunately just not well maintained and a bit archaic. I rarely carry cash, and getting change or using cash during COIVD isn't exactly welcome anymore. Will have to find another in the area.

Really old and basic but it gets the job done and wait times are short. Cleanliness depends on who was there before you. Manual doors with a rope, unstaffed, coin only, no change machine.

This place is awesome... while pretty much every car wash is closed during this cold snap... this place stays open, thank you Bowness Car Wash... for making my car look new again...

A little.... shady.....dirty.....but you can wash your car there .....upkeep not very good).....No place to purchase things to dry you're car ect.....No working change machine.....

Seen new upgrades since last time I've been there. Love the new addition of debit/credit makes it easier since I don't always carry coins. Also seem to get longer wash times.

Clean and heated carwash. Washed my car throughly in just $4 bucks, your dollar seems to go much further at this place. Highly recommend anyone in the area to give it a try!

I had an extremely positive experience at this car wash. I’ve been a few times now, the bays are always clean, useful for an everyday quick wash during this yucky weather!

Short wait lines, simple, works well. Seems to be a relatively hands off location, but could be improved if it had a change machine since the washers only accept coins.

Paid 5 $. Pre-rinse didn’t work. Then water turned off after 30 seconds, and did not work. Number out of service and no one present to help. Too bad as it’s convenient

I like using this place but lately the foam brush has very little soap and it comes out like water instead of foam. Tried 3 of the bays on different days, same issue.

Great car wash. Four stars only because I didn't actually see soap. Just a couple of bubbles once and awhile. Like that it now accepts credit cards and debit.

Paid $10 on debit on bay 1 and got nothing. A toonie got about half my Tucson rinsed. Wasn’t trying any further debit. No one on site and no phone number.

Waste of money. No foam. No sign saying out of order, no phone number. There’s a sticky note on the next bay over AFTER I wasted my money on this garbage.

No soap on the soap setting. I got charged $10.00 extra. No rinse, ....will never go there again! Very disappointing. Website has wrong number...

Last time when I washed my car, both of the vacuums were out of order. Yesterday I checked back hoping they were fixed, but no, they were not.

Options aren’t great and I was under the impression it was open 24 hours but I couldn’t get in to wash my vehicle after my shift at 330am

Good place to wash your vehicle. Doesn't have height restrictions like some others, so you can wash your work truck if need be

Coins only. Reasonable value. It would be great if the outside washbay was functional for washing larger vehicles like RVs.

$3 last you about 5 mins. Which I thought was a bit more time than other coin wash but the water pressure is kind of poor.

$4.rinse to get a layer of dirt and salt off. Good amount of time for minimal amount. Just a bit sloppy to get in and out.

All the stalls only spray with soap, will not rinse without soapy water, and the vacuums are always broken. Open 24hrs tho
