Today I experienced a horrific display of racism and and discrimination against three young Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander women. The treatment of them by staff and the openly racist comments and discussions I heard from people within the library is outrageous. Assuming that they were drinking alcohol, taking invasive photos of their belongings without consent, and removing them from a public place for no reason, is a violation of their rights. I have never felt more ashamed to live in this country and I will not be returning to a place that reinforces and allows for such racist activity to endure.
Not too big but big enough for a nice selection of books and has computers available. There is a nice area near the back for study/browsing with own personal devices and this is great because of the free wifi.
I couldn't believe that my lost wallet has found its way back to me from the library without any damage. Thank you so much great library staff and services !
