I would like to say a big thank you to Hannah Smith Duty Manager and all the wonderful staff at The Marriott Brisbane for going above and beyond to make our stay such a memorable one. I travel overseas and interstate a-lot for work and I have to say I get to stay in alot of 5 star properties and by far The Marriott Brisbane knock them out of the water every time I stay here. The service is impeccable the attention to detail knowing their clientele is far beyond anywhere I have stayed. On arrival I’m greeted with a warm and welcoming hello, a glass of champagne, the room I love to stay in is ready, my pillows are delivered for my sleeping comfort, cheese board with a lovely bottle of red delivered to the room on arrival and a hand written letter from Hannah Smith, welcoming me back to The Marriott Brisbane. All these touches make your stay so much more special, nothing is too difficult. I always leave there rested and happy that we were so looked after. 5+ stars all the way and I look forward to seeing you soon. Thank you so much kind regards Fiona

Friendly and attentive staff. I arrived early on a Wednesday and had both early check in and late check out with no issues. On the first evening quite late I had a neighbour that was noisy on her phone screaming into it. A quick call with the reception had me moved to another room (corner room- only one neighbouring room) and all in ten minutes, and with a free drink voucher. Rooms are very clean. Hot water is HOT and the shower had great fitting that stayed where you put them and excellent pressure. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 (and this is my grievance with lots of hotels) is that only UHT “milk” is provided with terrible tasting tea in the room- you also have to fill the kettle in the bathroom because there isn’t a drinks preparation area. The beds don’t have a sheet only a thin doona. Bed was ok but the mattress was getting to the end of its life- no huge issues but that’s what makes a hotel just a little better. The decor is a deeper colour which can feel a little dark at times. Sometimes better/ focussed lighting (particularly in the bathrooms with darker/neutral colours) can help. Motion restaurant was good for breakfast and again the staff there were exceptional. Hard to get a taxi/Uber to/from because of its corner location on a busy intersection and not much of a safe area for vehicles to pull over. Apart from that it’s pretty good and it’s not a long walk into Queen Street- when it’s not raining….

Arrived yesterday and checked in only to be told that we might not have any hot water but shouldn't affect our room and if affected they will move our room * Didn't have hot water until today when we left. When we called, they said nothing can be done! The staff in the valet where rude on arrival and not helpful until they realised how rude they were (they wouldn't even smile also when we asked if we could use the valet parking they said no you need a booking they assumed we didn't have one) Room had plastic rubbish on the floor in the shower, very hot room on arrival but no fans and slow aircon. Not very good lighting. So we payed $339 for a deluxe double room and $100 bond and $59 in parking. On the day when we left we ordered a conceige as you can't use the luggage carriers without them at 6.45 am they didn't turn up until 7.20 after we called again was supposed to be there at 7am(lucky he was a nice young man) Not a wonderful experience, especially on my friends birthday. Couldn't wait to leave. Only offered free parking. But would of been better if they told us before we checked in and gave me a choice whether we wanted to stay with no hot water or not. We didn't get what we paid for. We wouldn't have stayed if we knew you had no hot water. We should have been properly informed of the lack of facilities and offered a partial refund, but wasn’t.

Customer Service is very good. Special mention to Lia at the Motion Dining restaurant. She checked on my meal and when I told her the tuna was a bit too raw she insisted I get a new meal. Also the Front Desk Staff who checked me in yesterday, 4th September. He saw that my Uber driver wasn't very helpful and when I told him I was having the worst day, he made sure my stay at Marriott was pleasant. Thanks so much Team, because of your service, I would be back. Although the beds may need an upgrade already, because of your Customer Service, I wouldn't hold that against the Hotel. I still had a comfortable sleep and everything else in room was good. Clean bathroom and of course the view of the river and the City is awesome...oh, also, going back to my restaurant experience, the Chef even came out and apologised for my undercooked tuna....thanks so much again Team!

Finished 2-week quarantine in Brisbane Marriott. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable (although it is kind of slightly too dim at night). Windows are closed but great view and sufficient sunlight from 26/F. Food and drinks are high standard and generous in portion. Truly amazed by the variety of menu (a) breakfast - pancakes with ice-cream, omelette, bacon, sausage, croissant (bakery grade not pre-packed), cereals, fresh fruits, milk, etc (b) lunch - wrap / pie / flat bread, with 2 kinds of snacks (chips, pop-corns, cookies, lumington), juice and fruits (c) dinner - no repeated menu for the 14 nights - soup, main, starch, vegetables, dessert, soft drinks. Reception ladies were more than helpful. Requests were promptly addressed. I appreciate them so much for calling to the rooms everyday asking if we had any needs. Customer service is no doubt their strength. Thank you to the back-end staffs as well. Laundries and waste collections were all well managed. Overall, my stay in Brisbane Marriott exceeded my expectation. Bravo to the Marriott team. Thank you for making the 14-day quarantine easier to us.

Great location and good view if you get river view. Also the river walk is super close and has great view of the story bridge and skyline. Check in was little messy. Had to go to front desk again to get the river view room which they said would be but it wasn't when they moved me to higher floor per my request (River View with higher floor was my request) Room 2012: First thing I noticed was how dirty the wash basin counter in bathroom. Either they need to clean super hard or totally replace it. See it in the pics. One night I came late (2.30 am) and they apparently lock front door and I had lost my room key. I had to stand more than 20 minutes outside door ringing bell hoping someone would come and eventually they did. Super annoying. Gym and pool are good. I worked out couple of days. Brighter side: I got to see Matilas. They stayed here for their Sweden match. Go Matilda's.

Nothing real good nothing real bad. A pass at 2.5/5 stars for me. No upgrade as Titanium Bonvoy. Welcome gift beer and wine was horrible, cheese platter was nice. Room average and no views. Price is so expensive but I guess everything is in Australia. Holly at Check in was very friendly and informative, her manager not so and also untrustworthy of her staff. Really poor form from her end. Pool and Whirlpool were great. Wellness was closed not sure if that is cost saving or actual repairs. Amadea in the M Club was very professional and fun. She took care of check out for me direclty from breakfast upstairs. M Club dinner offering was nice, beer and wine again terible, although whisky and appertiffs were a nice touch. Also to note, any variety of healthy eggs costs extra even after the absurd room rate. I politely declined of course.

The check in process was an absolute nightmare. I had pre-paid for the accommodation at a very expensive price, so didn’t expect this. While the lady that served me was offering everyone else bubbly on arrival, I was being treated like a criminal because I wouldn’t let her charge me twice for the room. We had booked the room for an event that I was hosting & she wouldn’t let us leave reception without “an investigation”. This, even after showing her my receipt & the transaction on my bank account. She was loud & everyone in reception heard her which was embarrassing in itself. After making us 30 minutes late to our event she reluctantly checked us in but told me she would still need to conduct an investigation. On what I wasn’t sure. I would hate to see what policy is on a serious incident.

Stayed here for a Saturday night on our wedding anniversary. By pure good fortune, we scored an upgrade to the Presidential Suite no less. Nice note congratulating us on arrival and also complimentary wine and a snack brought to the room (with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate on the plate). The car valet service meant that once the car was dropped off, I didn't have to worry about it for the entire duration of the stay. Room was amazing (as you'd expect), with huge bathroom, bedroom and lounge. The light switches were a little confusing and I never worked out how to turn the dining room chandelier off but that's a very minor gripe. View of the city and a glimpse of the river was good without being fantastic (photo attached). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was first rate. We had such a lovely time that of course, we'll be going again.

I have just spent 2 nights here for work & thoroughly enjoyed my stay! I was a little underwhelmed by my 1st Digital Check In experience, but the glass of bubbles on arrival made me grateful I still had to go to the Front Desk! All the staff were welcoming & friendly, the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast & Dinner in Motion Restaurant was convenient & tasty! I would like to make special mention of Rachael, a Manager or Supervisor at Breakfast. Both days she went above and beyond, specifically just to come and say hello while I was on my own. She even went and found me a kids pack to take home to my 2yo daughter when I explained it was my 1st trip away and I wanted to get her something special. Thank you Rachael and the whole Marriott team for giving me a great base after some busy days at work!

we had the pleasure of having our wedding at the Marriott brisbane. the staff have been amazing over the last two days but special mentions go to Molly the wedding coordinator, Ben the Chef, and Irvin the all round good dude. Molly was a genuine savior with everything she helped organize for the special day. Ben cooked me an absolutely bang on medium rare steak which was out of this world. between cooking the chefs also entertained my kids and answered the random questions they had for them. really good genuine kind people. Irvin looked after our drinks and post ceremony canapés, as well as tending to our other needs on both afternoons, nights, and even the following morning. The Marriott should be extremely proud to have such an excellent professional working for them. 10/10 service mate, thank you very much

5 Star?…….hmmmm. Stayed for 3 nights with my family on the executive floor. Room was ok but each time we had showers the water would go from cold to scolding hot. If you had small kids it would have been dangerous. We informed the front desk and after confirming the water was in fact dangerously hot and broken by a technician, they moved us. We had to re: pack and move rooms to a lower level. After being moved we awaited some acknowledgment of the inconvenience to which we only received further apologies. My problem is if you advertise, and charge, as 5 star you should not have problems with your showers (which apparently they were aware of) and also if your only response is “sorry for the inconvenience” when you have clearly provided a substandard product which has caused inconvenience and danger then you are quite clearly NOT 5 star. Just say 4 star.

This is an amazing hotel with a good location, great view and a great team of staff. When the hotel learnt that my daughter is celebrating her birthday on the day we stayed, we found in the room with a cake, and a bottle of champagne; what’s more touching is that there is a birthday card on which some 20 hotel staff had signed on it ! Soon after we checking in, the daughter was greeted by the reception and the concierge when we talked around the hotel. And, We were upgraded to a presidential suite! We want to thank the manager Hannah and her team including the staff at the executive lounge for their warm hospitality!

The hotel is located in a remarkable spot just off of Queen Street, and it's recently renovated with comfortable beds but that's probably the end of the good stuff. Everything makes noise including the construction workers on the, the air conditioner high-pitched whine for the first 10 minutes being on, the plumbing that anytime you turn it on more than one fixture, makes a very loud whining sound. The fridge that doesn't work, at random times. Maintenance is nice enough to be polite and offer to move the room, but at the end of the day. This is a 4-5 star hotel, that is just not ready to charge A$250+ a night. Just hope you get one higher up floors maybe, or wait a few months till the bugs workout if the reno

Marriott standard of rooms slightly different e.g. missing bathrobes, slippers and laundry bag. Otherwise very nice and clean rooms as well as other facilities. The shower product in the guest rooms has a very strange smell. Very friendly and customer minded front office staff. However, unfortunately not every member of the staff has obviously a clear understanding what customer service requires especially in a high class hotel such as this. The location is nice - in the center of Brisbane allowing shopping and dining in walking distance. Very close is also public transportation - several bus services.

We did a one night stay for my birthday. From the moment we entered to last minute we left we were made to feel so welcomed and special. Each and every member of staff is the excellence of customer service!! We received a cake and a bottle of bubbly in our room to kick off the celebratory weekend, another cake in the executive lounge where the staff sang happy birthday countless food gifts in our room whenever we stepped out!!!! So much generosity! The room was spectacular with a view of the bridge. I really cannot fault this hotel and would highly recommend it. Great location too! Thanks to all the Marriott Team for a wonderful couple of days! We’ll be back!!!!

So happy that front desk let us check in early after our night flight. A comfortable stay in a great location right next to the river. Great beds, a nice well air conditioned room. We could walk to some fantastic restaurants and get around town. Very nice touch with the complimentary drinks vouchers, the bar and lounge area is a very nice place to hang out before heading out for the evening. We had the all you can eat breakfast buffet which had a huge selection of breakfast goods, crumpets, muffins, salmon, pastries, cereals, yoghurt, fresh juice and eggs made to order, with fantastic coffee. The waitress even went to find out where it came from, how it was made and wrote it all down for us. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

From the moment we arrived staff went out of their way. I was very impressed, I worked in hotels 20 years ago and so I notice lots of things, I have high standards but also I understand how busy and demanding it is. I would highly recommend this hotel, our room was lovely, we had breakfast included and the buffet was very very good, I was travelling with my kids 3,5 and they were doted on by the staff despite at times being rascals. Very staff member we encountered went out of their way to be friendly and courteous, many made extra effort with the kids. Congratulations on a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff.

Stunning views and beautiful, clean, facilities including a large heated pool and spa, and spacious gym. Buffet breakfast and room service quality was lovely. The staff were the most genuinely helpful and kind people, arriving for impromptu accommodation when holiday plans failed, the front desk team immediately offered support and complimentary juice to my son which honestly made a huge difference to the day. Small details, and kindness, go such a long way. We will absolutely be back, because of the incredible experience the staff gave us. Thank you.

Booked a night away. Full couples package for wife and I. A big staff shortage resulted in a few mistakes. Wrong room type, no welcome drink, room was missing basic information, website lacks restaurant and room service menus etc etc. Small issues that were mostly rectified when we explained and they checked their records. Not what you would expect from a 5* hotel. Reception team needs more training. Standout was the F&B Manager who took the time to ask questions and informed us of issues. Makes a difference when things are communicated. Also concierge team was on point. Love that valet parking. Be happy to stay there again when things are back to "normal".

We had a little family break at the Brisbane Marriott and we all loved it. (Kids are 2.5 and 5.5). Bronte from reception set the tone with a lovely (and much appreciated) welcoming gift sensing the stress of travelling in a car with small children for a couple of hours. The room was great, the kids loved the pool and the spa. The resturant and our server for breakfast was also very attentive. A wonderful family weekend. Thanks

Overall a good stay and would definitely stay again. The rooms are nice, clean and come with great views on the high floors. On the downside the rooms are rather poorly insulated from another so a lot of neighbor noise is to be expected. The gym is pretty well equipped for cardio and weight workouts. Overall not a 4-star standard though because of the rather poorly insulated building itself I would say. The property gets 3.5 stars. However, the staff pulled it off to make it a 5-star review. Everyone I interacted with was great. Also moving me to the 5 star review is one of the better Marriott lounges I‘ve see across the globe in terms of food offers as well as the service.

My husband and I stayed at the Marriott for a few nights to end our honeymoon. Absolutely loved our stay. Customer service was 10/10, Ben was so polite, helpful and respectful each time we needed our car. Gabby was so friendly, sent a lovely note to our room, letting us know if theres anything they can do to accommodate us. All the staff were so accommodating and friendly. The bed was so soft and we slept so well. We had a view to the story bridge which was so beautiful to look out to. I would 100% stay there again. Just want to let you all know.....the Pam-paw-cation where you take your dog for the night will cost you an extra $200.00 per night....the normal room rate example for our choice of room is about $280 a night...add the pam-paw code for the dog one night stay and it's about $430. Than add an extra $100.00 cleaning fee which is not visible in the add unless you click room rate details....so one night stay around $530 for a normal standard room....nor particularly worth it these days especially with the times . A bit backward and outdated .....if it sounds like a stitch up it probly is.....adios

A week ago I exchanged my US dollars to Australian at the front desk , no problem. Today the 22nd of Nov, the woman at the reception refused to help me and gave me some baloney excuse about their very high exchange rates. And that she was also in the middle of a ‘shift change’ It says on the Marriot website you provide currency exchange… why the inconsistency? When I pointed this out to her, she told me to walk 400 meters down the street where there are ‘many exchange places’. I felt discriminated against by this rude unprofessional woman. Marriot, please Train your staff to be kinder and more respectful to your guests.

Not a very happy ending, I’m still waiting after 7 days for my $100 incidental bond to be refunded. I’ve contacted the Brisbane Marriot and they said they would only be refunding me $17 for using the breakfast buffet, however we had our breakfast included in our booking. We managed to have it fixed on their end but I’m still puzzled on why it’s taking so long to have my money returned to me. For a 5 star company I’m not really impressed. In the past i have loved staying with the Marriot and enjoying a little treat. I really hope my next stay will be better

For a 5 star hotel it has a few issues No Hot water at 9.30am, Breakfast was the worst I have ever eaten seriously. The executive level was very average didn’t hang around in there long. Room was so small, no robes, no slippers, no mini bar, inroom dining menu is a joke. Bed was tired, climate control would not stay on 24 degrees so we froze all night. No extra blankets. So would we stay again no.. would we recommend this hotel no.. do I see my $1100 for 2 nights value definitely No.. such a shame use to be the pick of town …,

I asked if possible could I be given an early check in as I had an important event to attend. I understand that wasn’t possible, but check in time was at 2 pm and I didn’t get into a room until 2.20. Not good enough as I had to leave at 2.30 for an event. I booked for 4 people. To pay over $400 plus parking $49 extra then be given 2 double beds almost next to each is outrageous. While on our vacation from California, my son and I stayed at your property 4 days in November 2022. When we arrived, it was windy and raining lightly. He went inside the lobby to ask if he could park for a few minutes to get me out of the car (I use a transport chair). Your staff member, Rachel, immediately came out to help me. She not only pushed me inside but took me to your restaurant and graciously brought me a cup of hot tea. Our room and view were perfect. Kudos to all staff, especially your valet parking attendants for being so friendly, helpful and considerate.

On entry to room bathroom door fell off. Reception told me there is no one to fix it over the weekend. No cold water so shower was boiling. Again. No maintaining over weekend. Room phone did not work so no room service. When checking out. A different person on reception couldn’t understand why the previous person didn’t fix issues as apparently maintenance is 24hrs. Anyway. Wasn’t happy. Room was falling apart and it’s priced to be up there with the best.

I ended up buying a ebike while i was in brisbane and the concierge had no issues with storing it and getting it out for me when i wanted it. Really great place and i can assure the Marriott that i will be staying again in a few months. 10/10

I stayed one of rooms on Floor 22 with river view ( and St . John cathedral). We enjoyed the view in both day time and night time. Their swimming pool is really beautiful and has awesome view too. It could be perfect place to see fire works. It was very welcomed ☺ every corner (reception, valet parking, swimming pool, restaurant, Roby, house keeping). Thank you for making great short holiday.

It's been a while since I've done a hotel stay. I'm leaving in the morning. It's been awesome staying here. The rooms are beautiful. I had a glorious view. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Room service ladies are just beautiful and so courteous. Am just loving my time here, wish it didn't have to end. Highly recommend. Would definitely come back!!!

From the moment we walked into this hotel we were greeted with such warmth and welcomeness. The staff went above and beyond for us, checking us in early as we arrived a few hours before and helping us out with getting around! We were so impressed, the room was INCREDIBLE and all the amenities were amazing. Cannot recommend more, already missing being there Will definitely be booking again.

The room was spacious, modern, clean and tidy. I paid extra for a view of the story bridge and was totally worth it. My favourite part was how attentive the staff were. They were fully booked the night we stayed however still made each guest feel welcomed and looked after. Holly from the front reception even sent a complimentary bottle of champagne to our room to help kick off our celebratory weekend. Highly recommend!

All the staff here from the GM Kelvin to the head chef Ben to Daphne, Stacey, Juci, Piyawat, Danielle and all the other servers in the restaurant and bar were outstanding. I had quit going to Marriott's after a bad experience that i had in London several years ago, but my brother who stayed here recommended it over the Stamford Plaza where i had stayed before and it renewed my passion for the brand in ways i could not have imagined. Well done!

Popped in here just to have a drink on New Years Eve, daytime. Unfortunately, I was missing that vibe we are so used to at a Marriott location. Bar was empty, no patrons sitting outside. We visited and stayed at many Marriott locations around the globe, but unfortunately, Brisbane was just missing something. Hopefully, this will change, or maybe we just popped in at the wrong time. This aside, I had a Toblerone cocktail, and it was amazing. It's good to see this classic cocktail was on the list.

The Brisbane Marriott should be congratulated on its amazing team. Staff are always friendly, keen to assist and happy and keen to make you feel warmly welcomed and acknowledged. Motion Dining's Chef Ben, and his team do their utmost to serve delicious meals and offer the best in hospitality, and more especially with larger groups of people.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our experience. We did have some minor issues/inconveniences, but most of them were quickly fixed with an apology. I do recommend to check pillows on check in as we couldn’t sleep on the ones provided in the room (too thick/high), but they were happy to offer 2 other types of pillows. Pool and gym are quite nice as they are a kind of on a balcony/adjacent to balcony. We also enjoyed the sauna. Buffet breakfast is good, especially the fresh juice station.

  • Bells Beach

Amazing room with view of the bridge and lovely staff who presented us with a glass of champagne each on arrival and also looked after us with a bottle of champagne and celebration cake plate in our room to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t recommend enough. See you again soon

My experience here was wonderful! 10 out of 5! The room was so nice (I ended up getting a high wonderful view) ,the staff was amazing and so friendly. Anything you needed they made sure they made you feel at home. The room was spacious , comfortable, and clean. I loved the breakfast they had in the morning (I definitely would recommend!!) the chefs were so nice and the food was really good. I enjoyed my stay here so much I will definitely be back! Thank you !

Very disappointed with the reception of this hotel. Indeed I wanted to deposit my resume at the reception. An Asian lady looked down on me and answered me with condescension. I could have been a client in this hotel. For having worked in the luxury ready to wear, I had to receive a client or not with respect no matter what his request.

Wonderful hotel. Stayed here for only one night. But it was great. The bed is comfortable, room was tidy and cleaned. Style-wise is a bit dated side but maintained well. The best is the view, in our room can see the story bridge which is amazing!! Definitely recommend or at least give it a try!

Not what I would have expected from a hotel these days. The room offerings were confusing online, we thought we were getting a bridge view but it was not the case. There were also various amenities that were advertised and were not present, such as, bathrobes, jets in our suite's bath, slippers. The executive dining room was nice though

Couldn't adjust the room temperature. Manager attended and reset the power. Air-conditioning worked for about 15 minutes then turned off. Three work colleagues all had the same issues. Restaurant isn't good. Raw salmon. Bugs in the breakfast fruit. One chef trying to manage a full breakfast service. Location is great. Rooms are clean.

Felt more like a family then a guest. Was there for 2 months for work and I must say it exceeded my expectations. Great location, great room and phenomenal staff! Only issue, but I think it's an industry wide issue, is solving the slamming guest room doors. I don't think I've ever given a 5 star review for anywhere - bravo Marriott Brisbane! Hopefully we shall meet again.

We had a fabulous stay at the Marriott in Brisbane. We found the location perfect for our wants. The staff and amenities were excellent. I was staying at different Marriot in Brisbane and my driver took me to this hotel late at night. The concierge was so kind and polite, ordered a taxi for me to take me to the Marriot Bonvoy hotel immediately and made sure I was safe. It’s great to see that above and beyond service in Australia and I’ll recommend Marriot to my friends and customers.

Nice stay and clean amenities. Had to ask for some toiletries to be replaced, unsure if it’s not standard to replace or if it was forgotten. Beds were ok, not as comfy as I’d like. All round very good experience, nice staff, easy check in and check out. If you’re on a business trip I’d definitely recommend, had good internet to connect to meetings from the hotel and a nice desk. Good value for money

Good location, but hotel is very dated, no technology, and where there is it doesn't work properly. Staff are not well trained, and hierarchical bureauccy shows in their work and attitude. "River" view room is a side view from a distance. Overall, they should learn a few things from their sister brand the W.

4.5 stars. Would have been 4 but the friendly staff were great. The room was nice except there was no sheet only a doona, so I spent the night too hot then too cold etc, as did my wife. A real highlight was the toilet. I have never seen a toilet with so much flushing power. I went a few times just so I could flush again. I really want one of these in my house.
