My daughter and I took 2 teenagers and a toddler to the aquarium. It's great that the ticket lasts all day. We went through twice to make sure we saw everything. All the tanks are well stocked with a variety of fish, sharks, turtles, and even an octopus. They are clean and beautiful and well looked after. You get to see the fish from various angles and can even see them from above through the glass ceiling. At timed intervals, you can see the fish being fed and listen to and interesting talk about them. The flowers and greenery are luscious and healthy. I initially felt this was an expensive day out. but when you work out the costs to keep everything in perfect order plus staff, plus the flexibility of the admissoon, it is justified. We had a coffee in the cafeteria, and the kids had an ice cream before their second trip around. If you buy your tickets online, you can use them for a visit any day within 6 months. This is great and would make a perfect gift. If you pay for a season ticket on the day you visit, they will refund that days admission fee, and then you can visit as often as you like. It is well worth a visit.

Note the address is Anchor Road but the entrance is not obvious as on the side that is not on the road, a signpost would help…? Visited during the summer holidays with disabled wife on mobility scooter and grandchildren, carer is free. True to the advise on the website the site is disabled accessible for the mobility scooter as is all ramped boardwalks and or level. I think if it was busy it might have been difficult to get close to the exhibits. Loads of fish and the other things you would expect, good views into the tanks from the top, the side and great views from the tunnel. I would suggest that under 5’s will not have the attention to benefit and there is no space for running about. Reception/ticket area needs renovation, no low sinks for children in toilets, cafe closed at 16:00 while there were plenty of potential customers… Overall good.

Really cool Aquarium. It id worth 20 gbo and you can probably see it all in about 1 or 2 hours depending on how fast are you. But the Aquarium is really great. Honestly I have been to many Aquariums in my life as they are a peaceful place for me and ti be honest this felt really quiet and great even when kids where around. They have a wide variety of species to show you and tanks are well maintained and taken care of. They have some cool ingeractive bits of it for kids and even adults and the fishes seem to be in a good state and they look happy as they are always moving sround and seem really full of life. It was a well soent 20 gbp as if you compare it with going out to get some drinks it will be a lot more expensive anf you learn nothint from a vidit to the pub.

Took my young grandson for a visit to introduce him to the fishies. He was in awe at the start, loved looking at all the different colours and sealife. Will be taking him back when he's a bit older so he can interact more with the place. Bit difficult at this age with him in a pram. Gift shop is extremely expensive but it's understandable with the cost of upkeep for the aquarium. The sit on rides, grab games etc all accept cards, so you can't use the excuse "I've got no change" lol. A nice afternoon out. You can also use your ticket all day to go in and out of aquarium, so you can go elsewhere for lunch, for example, then go back. An enjoyable afternoon.

A really lovely aquarium in the heart of the city. It's a large aquarium with a number of different zones to explore, from British coast to marine reefs and mangroves. Huge selection of aquatic life. There is a sense of serenity sitting on bench watching the graceful glide of ray or a shark. Prices were reasonable, £20 for adults with concessions for students and grandparents. Can buy at the entrance or online. Cafe, gift shop and toilets available. Ticket is for the day and you can go around as often as you want on the day. Lovely place to spend a couple of hours. Keeper talks throughout the day. Just keep swimming!

Absolutely stunning aquarium. The kids loved every second of it. Very interactive, the tanks are visible to even the smallest of guests. The huge bubble window was a personal favourite. Felt like you were swimming with the fish. The jungle areas were cool and we even got to see some of the fish, including the piranha being fed! You buy a day ticket, so you can come back any time the same day. Lots of toilets on different floors and very wheelchair and pram accessible. Highly recommended for all ages to enjoy. My only comment is the entrance is all the way round the other side past the Ferris wheel.

brilliant considering its age. feels more designed for children than adults, but that doesn't make it any less fun for all ages! the tickets felt fairly expensive, but it's worth knowing that is for all day access, so absolutely take all the time you want staring at every last tank. photos are almost a waste of time, take short videos instead. i left with an amazing album and great memories. if you are lucky enough for a staff member to be nearby, absolutely ask them politely if they have time for a question. you can expect a delighted and enthusiastic response.

Bristol Aquarium is a great place for the family. The kids loved it, and we really enjoyed it too. Some remarkable fish and turtles. Some huge, some tiny. Big tanks, and tanks with inserts that you can stick your head on, that we really enjoyed. I took pics of most of it, so take a peruse. There are a couple of places to park around if you're driving, but parking is quite pricey wherever you go. Entry is also about £19 each adult. Keep your ticket though as you can go on and out as much as you please throughout the day.

  • Andrew Whewell

Really great way to spend a few hours. It wasn't too busy despite being a Sunday in the summer holidays. Lots of seating areas on the way round for a rest or to eat a packed lunch. Big open space in entry area to eat before or after. Cafe on site can provide sustenance but it is also completely geared up to be a relatively cheap day out other than the entry ticket. The fact you can re-enter throughout the day means you can come back and make full use of the ticket price with the young ones.

  • Natasha Hanvey

We came on Saturday morning to the aquarium. It was quite noisy and my daughter was wearing her ear defenders. The lovely lady behind the ticket desk explained that there was a party that's why it was so loud and explained that inside the aquarium it would be quieter and pointed out where their quieter space was if we needed. This meant a lot to me as not everyone is so understanding and helpful.

Lovely aquarium! Its relaxing and u van sit there ahd watch the huge tanks. Its buggy friendly which is fab! My toddler loved it. She was so full of joy and energy running around. She loved looking at seahorses in the middle of their yank. Didn't get to look around the gift shop as it was closing or tried the cafe too. Perfect trip for winter or wet days. Its very warm in there!

Good aquarium, not 100% sure why you get a load of dinosaurs too, but who doesn't like dinosaurs! Nicely laid out, good selection of big and small fish. As a day out, it would only be a couple of hours, but you can leave and go back if you want to over the same day. No option to gift aid and go back for a year like a lot of other attractions.

This Aquarium was a really nice surprise. They have a beautiful tropical fish tank which is what I enjoyed the most. When I visited there was a very helpful member of the team explaining some of the characteristics of the archer fish a species know for their unique hunting tactics. It's not very big (it took us 2 hours to see it all in detail) but definitely worth a visit! They also have some exotic frogs and plants

  • Jessibeth15

We absolutely loved our visit to this aquarium. Once you've paid, you can go around as many times as you like, we walked around it 3 times! Loads of feeding times that you can watch throughout your visit, the staff have great knowledge on the fishes they look after, and where great at answering any questions people had. You can leave to get some food and still re-enter. Brilliant little gift shop as well.

  • Daniel Morgan

Really enjoyed my visit to the aquarium. Really impressed with the amount of aquatic animals being looked after here. Some really beautiful animals. Very informative. Lots to see. Animals treated well. Staff friendly. Clean and tidy. At first was a little put off by the price of £19.50 but once I'd finished I was really glad I paid it and visited. Really loved the turtles!

  • Dan Ricketts

Loved it! Would happily go again and again. Also your tickets are valid for the whole day so you can go around as many times as you like, you can even leave the aquarium and come back later on the same tickets! Staff are friendly, great set up and reasonable prices throughout.

Bristol Aquarium is awesome! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The fishies are so colorful and cool. I loved watching them swim in big tanks. The people working there are really nice and told us interesting facts. There's a pool to touch starfish – super fun! It's not too big, so great for kids. We had a blast and learned a lot. Totally worth it!

We went for my daughters birthday and had the best morning, I have no idea where the time went. I feel at this point I need to say my daughter was 40 and it was 6 adults that went, we all had the best time. There is so so much to see. Bristol was a lovely place and the aquarium was an added feature it was also very reasonably priced

  • Claire Case

Beautiful and well kept aquarium. Fast entry and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a vast array of fish and we especially loved seeing the rays, shark feeding and watching the octopus. Overall a brilliant couple of hours out. Would highly recommend. Parking nearby at millennium square, but it is expensive. More

It was my youngest daughter's first visit here and my older daughter hasn't been since she was little so we all had a fab time. Que wasn't so great to start at the entrance but I think everyone had the same idea due to the weather being so cold. Once inside it was fine. All had a great afternoon

Great experience, queued for booking online separate from normal, was in within 15 seconds, kids enjoyed the fish selection just the timing for some of the activities rather than someone dedicated to that section was a little minus but all enjoyed the experience.

  • Romain B Fernandes

Amazing place to bring your kids. Aquarium can also be re-entered throughout the day with your ticket. Plenty of marine life to see and walking through the tropical walkways are wonderful too. There is also a cafe and gaming area for kids outside in the lounge.

  • martin r

It's decent enough, my daughter's enjoyed the time there. Only lasted about an hour for the walk round so not an all day thing. Cost about £60 so a bit pricey for an hour out.

Great place to visit. The aquarium is brilliant - just the right size. Takes about an hour to two hours to look round. Well organised. Lots to look at and the tanks are very well done - small and large to very large. There's also a tunnel

  • Melinda Szabo

Well it was a short visit even with a kid. I don't know if there is enough space to but there could be more activities. It's fun for a hop in. Their gift shop definitely needs to improve, like those magnets are rubbish. We wanted a nice

  • Tom Izzard

Visited today with our (almost) 4 year old and found the place to be very well laid out for the most part, and all the tanks and aquariums well kept with the fish and animals looking vibrant and happy! As happy as fish can look anyway!

  • Thomas L

I absolutely loved it; lots to see, brilliant textures and vibrant colours! Makes a brilliant day out for the family. Below are some photos I took with my SLR. Please don't use these photos for anything other than looking at. Thanks :)

My 2.5 year's old boy loved every second here. The ticket is valid for whole day which is great. We came back for the octopus feed. Very interesting and informative. So many beautiful tanks and plants. Staff are also really friendly.

There are some lovely fish here, such great little characters. It's a nice experience and not too crowded so you can take your time to sit and watch the tanks at certain points.

Bigger than I expected, I like that the fish/marine life has ample room in their aquariums, also cool to see the other critters they had there like the frogs :)

Very expensive for what it is. The website says 1hr 30m to get around but with three children you'd be lucky to get even 20m as it is quite small.
