After a long day of travelling with what I expected to be food poisoning, I arrive at your station and unfortunatly vomit the moment I step in the entrance. Before I continue I'd like to apologize for making a mess, I tried to make it to a restroom but wasn't able to. The staff were called by a concerned traveller and were quick to respond. After being convinced that I wasn't drunk and noticing that I was distressed (as I am not one to be sick, especially in front of a lot of people), they escort me to the toilets to clean myself off, offer me some water up and reassure me that I shouldn't be embarrased. One of the female staff took me to my train and even upgraded my ticket to first class just so that I was comfortable and near a bathroom in case I was sick again. I was very appreciative and couldn't be more thankful for the service of your staff. They definatly made my day despite all the travelling with this illness.

Been travelling since 5am got to Bristol Temple meads, had a cigarette outside and spent a good few minutes looking for a bin but there wasn't any so put it out and down a drain. Got stopped on our way in and handed a first warning and a fine for not putting our cigarettes out on the bin with a no smoking sign on. They watched us look for a bin, I know this is their job but please have clearer signs for people especially those in a rush, we told them our train was in 5 minutes which of course we missed, now stuck here for another hour. This could have been avoided with proper signage and bins, or by emailing the "small print and terms and conditions" rather than reading it out while we watch our train drive off.

Once again rubbish service at Temple Meads. My incoming train from Sheffield was 51 minutes late, my connection was sitting in the opposite platform. At least a dozen people wanted the connecting train. Any chance of anyone doing anything sensible like holding the train back for 1 minute ?? Of course not. And when I went to the customer service desk to moan I was told that they can't hold trains as they get find. There is a certain irony to that statement when I have just got off a train that is an hour late. So no chance of being helpful to those who have had a gruelling trip then!!! Thanks Temple Meads this is not the first time I have had cause to complain.

This review is in relation to around this time 5 years ago. I I was an Irish student at the time and was making my way home for Christmas when I had the misfortune of losing my wallet on the train from Cardiff to Bristol. The staff on that day were more than helpful as I would have been left stranded only for there generosity. They paid for a taxi to take me to the airport and. I apologies for being so late in leaving this review but that act of kindness will always be remembered and should be applauded. I didn’t get the name to of the staff member but i just wanted to say thanks!

Lovely railway station, architecture is stunning, from the outside, to the inside, plenty of space on the platforms. The bar on platform 3 is v expensive, a pint of Heineken beer costs £5.25, I'm guessing the food is expensive too. However, there's a cafe on the left as you approach the front of the station that does food at a v reasonable price, I had a sandwich which was the best one I've had in a long time, they do hot food as well.

If you are planning a day trip here don't count on keeping any luggage or bags at the station or in a baggage storage facility. There is no way of holding bags for the day anywhere in Bristol. The station was also very dull and a slightly messy. The bathrooms are disgusting and the elevators smell. I wouldn't recommend a trip to Bristol. If you want a place more friendlier to travel go to Bath.

Poor layout for access to drop people off and security staff who don't seem to have a clue as to what they are doing. When member of security stopped back car in the middle of the road whilst others moaned if you don't keep up with the stopped traffic. Toilet facilitys are not up to much and food is expensive. No wonder I don't use trains much if this is the best they can do

My train was cancelled this week due to a tree on the line. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful from information desk to a lovely man assisting another lady. I asked where the best place on platform to wait as 3 trainloads of people had to get on train to Dundee. He found me a seat took my case on and was generally a very nice man . Thank you

Fourth (and last) time in 2 months I visited this branch and asked for a filter coffee. Each time the lights are on , on the machines, but I am told they don't have any and only (more expensive) americano. Bad organisation and efficiency as long lines and only one Barrista so filter quicker if all not want americano. A con.

Thank you so much to Ollie Coppage, a lovely young ticket man, who so kindly offered to help transfer my luggage from the Montpelier train, as his shift had finished, to the Penzance train and his helpful colleague who put me on the train.. I may have missed my train without their intervention!

Train delayed by over an hour. The important announcements are played when a train comes in so you can’t hear it. The same staff were Friendly enough and the WiFi seems a good speed. It would be nice to have st least one train journey go smoothly and not the usual delays or breakdowns

Food places everywhere but very expensive. £5 for a cheese and onion pasty!!! Confusing layout, quite scruffy with bird mess all over the place. Departure boards with staff on-site. Under cover but bird's nest in the roof so watch out!! Exit is not well signposted

Got accused of fair jumping because I got on at a station that I'm not familiar with. Dreadful customer service. Ticket staff at platform are utter idiots. Threatening to 'call the police' as their policy. Would give zero stars if I could.

I took a train from Cardiff to Bristol temple meads this is a large building but train platforms are label clearly making it easier to navigate. The food and drink is rather expensive for what it is but I guess that’s convenience prices.

  • Owen Voke

Lovely station, great architecture. Shame it's often busy and trains are delayed, but that's not their fault. It's not too bad to have as a local large station. Food and drinks are expensive though, which is a pain during delays.

  • Eliot Collins

The ticket machines in this station are a nightmare, only one in three seems to work and even then it only takes cash. The queues are long and disordered. The station building itself is fairly clean and easy to get around.

  • Pauline Nicholas

A huge thank you to the young man who took care of my daughter on the 25th of January on platform 1. I think his name was Jamie. He handled the situation very professional with care , kindness and calmness you are astar

  • Heather King

Staff at the ticket barriers all congregate in a group, have a talk with each other and don't do anything else - is this what we pay for? Do we need about 6 of them standing around not doing any work? Useless people

  • Annie

Train's are usually on time. Snacks and drinks are very high priced so if you are taking a long journey it is best to bring your own refreshments.Beautiful Architecture and friendly helpful service.

  • Paul Rhodes

All of the staff here are pleasant and helpful, whether on the barriers, the station itself or the ticket office. It suggests that they are well-managed and appreciated. Well done and thanks.

  • Séan Ovenden

Lovely station that links you with Cornwall, London, Liverpool, Scotland and Wales. You might even see a Steam Train like I did. Staff are all over & await your questions. GWR at its best.

  • Roger Moore

Could be a wonderful shopping and eating experience instead of the decaying wreck it is today. in fairness the whole area is 20yrs late for redevelopment not just temple meads.

  • Daniel Crowley

Poor quality stairs leads to congestion during busy periods. Staff not all that helpful either when there are delays. In general the station is very tired and shabby looking.

  • Debra Spanswick

I travel a lot by train and this station is a halfway point for most of my trips with good facilities and extremely helpful staff but be prepared to queue for the toilets.

  • Oscar Adams

A good station. Has all your typical stores, though typically more expensive, so be wary of that. Provides connections to other major towns and cities.

  • Philip

A grand old facade almost hidden by the taxis and buses, this station somehow keeps going. A good drop off location and several shops within.

  • lady pip

Well maintained station , good choice of food outlets and always taxis out side and the building is a piece of Bristol original history.

  • Tom's Rail Announcements

Needs more space in the ticket office area and more ticket gates so its not to slow to get in or out of the station

  • Travel Historically

Great station. Little old and run down. It's a couple minute walk from the main offices.
