If you are looking to pay model C prices for a model C government school that's more government than model C, then you have found the right place. Hopefully in the past few years this school's quality has risen. Experience from my point of view: The poor equipment (disgusting destroyed bathrooms, broken classroom chairs, lack of whiteboards in place of chalk boards) although they're very proud of the fancy astro they installed even though they don't specialise in hockey. An archaic dress code not in favour of diversity strictly enforced to ensure you look and act like an adult ready for work! (maybe from the great depression) No digital textbooks but rather carry around 10kg of textbooks everyday when all the rival schools have digital books available? Budget cuts leading to half of the cultural extra-murals being cancelled, but you're still forced to do a sport. Overpriced school uniform made with poor craftsmanship (60 different shades of "Royal Blue") The inability to find teachers that give adequate support and a healthy relationship with their students, don't expect any specialised STEM subjects available either. But hey, if all of these things dont bother you for placing your child in a school, then that's alright.

It is rare to find a public school that offers the care and professionalism of a private school. The actual facilities are not on par with some others in the area but are nonetheless well kept and conducive to a good learning environment. Administratively, BHS is far ahead of any other school in the area. Sports wise this school competes with other top tier schools and academically has an exceptionally high matric pass rate.

What a great day with some of the RUGBY players today at BHS. The fitness session was in the high level with the boys and I still can't believe that they let me practice with them. But I showed their coach that I can be utilized.

Excellent hockey astro with great lighting for playing at night. Safe parking. New access walkway makes it much easier to get to the pitch from the car park.

Teachers always waste learners time and never show up on time, everything is old and half the equipment doesn't work.
