Unfortunately I can’t recommend this place. They were very accommodating which I appreciate and were quick and cheap, again appreciate it. I had them perform some suspension fixing for me and an alignment. Everything felt good out of the lot but when I got the truck home I had a knock from the front right when turning. Looks like they left one of the sway bar links loose. Having tightened that to spec I continued on. Recently, yet another clunk had appeared. I managed to jack up the truck and found both wheels had movement top to bottom. I double checked the bolts holding the struts to the spindle (they have to loosen these to perform the camber adjustment). I could move the spindle with my hand they were so loose. Torqued to SPEC at 156ft/lbs and everything is now fine. God knows what the alignment is at though. Myself am mechanically inclined and have worked in shops so I can double check people’s work. I can’t with confidence recommend this place to another person though who may not be so inclined.

Took my Hyundai van in a while ago when it had several issues. I was debating whether or not to fix it or trash it. They checked everything over, showed me a couple of more issues that I wasn't even aware of, and we decided to trash it. Even though they invested at least a half hour of labour as well as pricing/sourcing some hard to find parts, they refused to take any money for their time. I gave them a $20 and told them to buy coffee for everyone. Two nights ago I had my wife's Escape towed in because the water pump had seized. They replaced the pump, belt, thermostat and did a coolant flush (all requested by me and discussed beforehand to confirm it was worth it) called me with the quote the same evening (maybe 45 minutes after we dropped it off) and had it ready before noon the next day. The final bill was less than 1/3rd of what was quoted by a shop in Burlington (see my other reviews) and the parts prices were dead on what you would expect to pay. Simply awesome experiences here.

I do not recommend this exhaust shop to anybody or to send their elderly mother there they took a vantage of her own experience with the price of things and used cheap products in charge to her more than any dealer would’ve charged x3 when the dealer was called to check on the prices by me her son the oil pan was costing 72 at best $129 they charged her 200 and something they did not use a 12 dollar gasket the used RTD sealant which was put on poorly and the oil pan was leaking constantly after the job, then they charged your $1250 for a catalytic converter assembly which from any other parts store is only 290 to at most 450 they completely ripped her off and when I confronted them about the price they hung up on me

It was my first time visiting to this shop today, they provided many services here so clearly just by looking from outside of their shop. My exhaust pipe was broken and one of my mechanic friend recommended me to come here and give them a try. John, the front desk manager was so welcoming and their staff was very professional knowing what needed to get done after carefully examined the problems of my car. After my car was fixed, my car's performance comes back alive again. Really like their reasonable price, sincere service and completed the task in a timely fashion. Definitely will come back for other services in the future

People at this location at not very trustful as they removed the catalytic converter of my car without telling me. further they cut into pieces so it cannot be used. Front desk manager was very rude when I question about it. He told me literally to leave the business. When I complained to the owner Rob Lyell, same psyche as the staf. Very dishonest and rude business. I end up complaining to consumer affairs, all they do is lying. Showing you a copy of their email answer to consumer affairs, I am leaving this response not to show my frustration but may save other people from these crooks.

I'll do a lot of my own service, but, for the stuff that I can't do the team at Budget Exhaust has always been helpful. Recently, we had to replace a ~20 year old catalytic converter on our Honda SUV. I was VERY happy with how well Kevin managed to save the 2 oxygen sensors that would have been another $400 to replace. This kind of skill and care isn't common, I can't thank him enough for the extra effort that would have been required to extract these parts. The work was fast, clean, and priced fair - Thank you very much for your help Trevor, Jim & Kevin!

Budget exhaust provides exceptional service and pricing. I was a dealership only car maintenance guy paying high prices but this place shows me you can have excellent service with great pricing. Oil changes are very reasonable, they check your car for free and provide the repairs at a relatively good rate. We had our brakes done here get our oil services for me and the wife. They go above and beyond when you'd like them to check something out for you to give you that piece of mind. Great job guys, really appreciate it for all the hard work you guys do. :D

Took my F150 in for new exhaust manifolds, which many other places in the area wouldn't touch. I left the repair in Budget's hands and left on a week vacation. I returned yesterday and behold this morning my truck was repaired and ready. They even took the intiative to change out the worn muffler and tack up a loose tailpipe. I highly recommend this place. Thank you for your quality job and fair prices.

New but somewhat familiar to this area, I checked around and then passed Budget one day and took note. I knew my 2006 car was in bad need of service for an issue 3 other places had no answers. I called. Very respectful, give excellent details about work needed and are honest about what can wait and what is urgent. My car runs so well now. For a senior this is so reassuring. Highly recommend them.

The service and cost is good but if you care about your vehicle, do NOT bring your car here. I had a brake job done that had both rear calipers replaced with "quality products" that have completely rusted over within a few months. Also, I had my wheels balanced, which had the old weights torn off with adhesive left on and the new weights are cheap garbage. Go somewhere else for better quality.

Another company had put on my snow tires. Turns out they missed some things and I was close to losing my tires. Budget in Waterdown, quite literally, could have saved my life. This was at shop close and they graciously stayed and fixed me up and got me back on the road safely. To the 'pit crew', you were fast, helpful, and kind. Thank you so much you have a great team.

Most reasonable place to get stainless exhaust work done in the greater Hamilton area. The guys I dealt with were upfront, no nonsense, not pushy, discussed different options with their pros and cons, open to alternate ideas and answered all my questions. If you need exhaust work done and are keeping your car for more than 3 years, get stainless and see these guys!

Was told a price over the phone, was charged differently when work was done, no explanation was provided. When I came back to question price difference, I was told it was 'shop fees'. When I questioned shop fees, I was then told my price increased because I paid via debit card. Was never even provided with a formal invoice. No transparency. Will never come back!

Typical automotive repair practice. Complete more work than requested without notifying the customer. Then provides a backwards explanation as to why the work was done. Would not recommend bringing your car here. Staff on phone call said " what would I need with extra 85$?" When asked why the extra work was done. Prepare to spend more than the amount discussed.

Came in here yesterday less than 2 hours before they closed because my exhaust was leaking and I could hear clunking while shifting. They took the time to show me most of my system was shot. They worked with me explaining the options and the different prices and quickly customized a fix. Fast, friendly and fair! I recommend and will return! Thanks guys!!!

Repost: had a very rude unprofessional experience at the other location in Burlington, when I ent to this location the Owner actually threatened me when I reported my experience. Obviously a narcissistic control freak with low self esteem. Found another business with the same pricing and MUCH better service.

Have gone few times for various repairs. My car is older and they always recommend I do something else, despite it running well. The quality of the work is never good. When something went that they previously fixed, they told me they couldn't get my car in until another week. It was to change a lightbulb that takes 30 minutes, really?!? Don't bother.

All of my experiences with Budget Exhaust and Automotive have been positive. The last time I went in I had a flat tire on my 2008 Accord. The repair was done in a timely manner and all for less than $20.00! It is wonderful to know that I can trust Budget to do quality work at fair prices. So thrilled that they chose to expand and come to Waterdown.

They got upset I brought the part with me. told them I got it to save time as this is my work vehicle and need to be back on the road, that why i booked 1st appointment early morning. They purposely took 3days and $690 to install a hose that I could have done laying on my back on the floor in under 2hours when it's not freezing outside

I have been using them since 2004 when I had a Mazda protege. I have been getting great service from them. Also great advice when money has been tight. Today I got my exhaust system done. I called to have my vehicle looked at as I thought there was an exhaust issue. They took me in immediately and found the issue within 15 minute. The place I had taken it earlier that day left the oil cap off. These guys were fantastic and I will certainly be bringing my car back to them in the future.

There is not many automotive mechanics where I feel I can completely trust when taking my car there... Budget Exhaust is the only place where I have this confidence. They are honest and do a quality job... which they stand behind. They are a family run business as well. I highly recommend them.

I found the man I was talking to on the phone very rude. I told them what was wrong with my truck and they didn’t really seem to look to hard to find any issues, they said they didn’t find anything wrong so I went over and had to climb under the truck to show them what was broken.

Rude owner, no regard for customer service & offers BS (inflated) quotes for unnecessary work. Also, no seating/waiting room here. If you yourself have no clue about what you’re getting into and are willing to overpay significantly, feel free to visit…otherwise avoid this place.

Recently before a long road trip I had my car serviced, 2 hrs into the trip the front tire came loose. We almost died on the highway but was able to get off the road safely. Not going back to this location ever would not recommend to anyone. If I could give it 0 Stars I would.

I drive a 2008 Tacoma they have no problem in getting parts quickly and at a good price Their muffler work is first class all the work they have done for me has been a fast turn around take it in the morning pick it in the afternoon all in a friendly courteous manner Mike

The worst place I have ever been to,I would never recommend anyone to go there.They charge me about double the price of everything.Even though they charged me for alignment but didn’t did it.Please be aware to check everything in the market before visiting any mechanic.

I walked in, the two guys at the counter looked at me then continued their conversation and turned back to me before acknowledging me. Didn't get a quote for my work because their hoists were "busy", they told me to come back in the afternoon, i was there at 10am.

They did a great job in repairing my car it felt like new when I got it back. I had to wait for it as well and I was expecting to wait 2-3 hours as it was a pretty big repair and I was in and out in a hour. This was months ago and my car is still running great!

Had a rattle in the exhaust system. I left my car with them and they were able to get it solved for me. Made a custom part instead of a whole new assembly that would have cost a lot. Got it back running quiet and at a fair price. Great service!

I’m posting this with mixed feelings, because they’re a nice bunch and have reasonable prices, but they’re not delicate or attentive to details. Dirty interior after service, scratched rim… hard to justify a return visit.

These guys have the best service I've ever experienced, fast, thorough, and for a reasonable price! My little Nissan Versa was treated with care! I will definitely come back if my car gives me any kind of troubles.

Budget Exhaust and Automotive was recommended to fix a loud sound while the vehicle was running. A section of the muffler system was replaced for a fairly reasonable price. I didn't even have an appointment:)

Took my car to CT in town for an E test, they told me something was wrong with my car communicating to their machine and asked me to pay for a diagnostic. I said no and went here, they took care of it.

Got in the same day, great price and turned around in hours. Friendly service (john) and preformed the work exactly as described. Overall happy with my experience and would go back for similar issues.

Car went in for a muffler issue and I got the car back cheaper and faster the expected. Very happy and will go back when/if needed. Thanks again Kevin for your professionalism and quality work

They are not as "Budget" as they used to be. Though I understand inflation has hit many industries, charging an extra hour of labour was not necessary.

Friendly staff, and oil+filter change cost me less than $40. I even saw the guy lubricate my door hinges when he saw that they were stiff.

Helped me out so much with my little Smart car ,know it's not an easy car to work on and MERCEDES-BENZ is Toooo expensive to take it to.
