Beyond shocking experience. We went in to purchase a fridge. We knew what we wanted and their website said that they had 4 in stock. After more than 20 minutes of standing in aisle 71 and going to reception four times asking for someone to assist us, we still had no assistance. Eventually a lady comes over, who we thought had been sent by reception to help us, but no, she politely informed us that this was not her department. I eventually got on the phone to the customer services hotline and a very nice lady contacted the store and sent a lady to help us and turned out that the product that they were advertising had incorrect information on their site. So after all of that and an hour of our lives that we'll never get back, we went home without a fridge. We have now decided that we'll never shop at a Builders warehouse again. Every single time without fail, Builders warehouse succeeds in making what should be a pretty simple experience into a complete freaking nightmare and actually ruins a person's day. We ordered wood that had been cut to specific measurements a few weeks back from the Sunward Park branch. The wood arrived damaged and incorrectly cut. When we contacted them, they blamed another branch because their saw was broken and they told us that the other branch doesn't know how to cut wood properly. I found that hilarious as they just passed the blame and because I had already waited an extra week for the delivery, I ended up putting it in my car and returning it. Went into Alberton branch to buy an item that showed in stock at their branch only to get there to be told, sorry, our website hasn't been updated. Why offer a "see where it's in stock" option, if it's not maintained? Clearly costing your clients their time and fuel is a side hobby. Just another day of disappointing service at a Builders warehouse.

This store is all a bunch of unequipped management. Went into store bought a door that was shown on website as D/grey got a brown door. As a contractor I lost a client due to this issue and had to refund the client his money back for the door. Called the builders customer care line requested to speak to the store manager of the store. Was told you are getting transferred to the store manager. Got a rude person that answer the call from the store. Went to the store and asked to speak to store manager just to find out he don't work on Sundays. Lucks was the person I spoke to. Promised me a call back with and answer by Monday fair called back and requested me to go back to store to sort out refund. Went back to store had to speak to yard manager on Monday after 2pm as Lucks left fair shift ended. Got told once again no refund as he has to chat to Lucks and Store Manager. Was told will have a call back from him on Tuesday morning. Guess what it is Friday still no call back.

I had to walk around to find assistance then got sent from person to person. I then had to create an account in order to get free delivery when my house is 3kms away. Thereafter I get to the desk where I need to create an account. There is no one available at the counter to open an account for me, I had to search for a person to assist me again. I then try to get my free delivery done, I get told I must pay, free delivery is only for online yet the website says nothing about this. I then try to place my order online I can't checkout because it refuses to let me checkout unless I go through the installer page which it does not allow me to decline an installation even though I've refreshed the page more then 10 times it refuses to let me just checkout without clicking on the installer pop up. I then just left the store never to return again.

Turning into a junk status store. Nobody to help you in the aisles, MANY prices not reflected on the shelves and no price scanners available - they removed them all as they weren't properly maintained, and you have to struggle to find someone to type the code into a computer for you for every item. They allow Verimark and Ryobi sales people to shout at the top of their voices promoting vacuum cleaners as you enter the store and it's completely annoying and unprofessional and disrespectful to customers. When you check for an item online it shows they have X amount of items in store but when you go there they cannot find the items. They have either been stolen or are sitting in a delivery holding area that cannot be managed. There is no management presence. Not recommended

Bad bad service, ever single item I was looking 4 was not in it's place. The staff at the paint section was very helpful but I had to wait 10 minutes 4 them to get the stock. Then at the bolts department there was a lady very young with a ponytail, well she walk like she's half dead or maybe completely dead. She just pointed at what I wanted and walked away. At the pool section there was no service because there was no one there. I would have essentially spent 4k at builders but in the end only 1601 very bad 4 your sales went to Leroy and merlin and bought everything I needed and more for 2700. Don't mean to be funny but builders you need to up your game or you won't last in this economy.

WHEN THE LADY ARRIVED TO HELP US, SHE WAS RUDE AND UPNOCTIOUS! DON'T THINK SHE WILL APOLOGISE. SHE JUST HIDES BEHIND HER COMPUTER PRETENDING YOU DON'T EXSIST!! PHONING BUILDERS HELPLINE US A WASTE OF AIRTIME. THEY CAN'T HELP YOU EITHER! AFTER A HUGE SCENE WE WERE GIVEN A CODE FOR THE ITEM WE WANTED TO PURCHASE AND PAID. AT COLLECTION THE FRIENDLY GUY LOADED OUR THINGS AND WE WERE OFF. IT TOOK US 1 HOUR TO BUY ONE ITEM!!!!!!!

If you there to buy something that you know and don't expect any service it is the place to go. Got the feeling the staff don't know that the customer is actually paying their salary as you either get ignored or get treated as if you are bothering them. Was super disappointed and thought it was only me but then I headed another customer that also complained if he did not need to come here he wouldn't. So now I found another place to buy my hardware it is worth the extra 10km drive to avoid getting upset about staff that is supposed to help you....well possibly how they see that the customer owns the staff something ahopefully they will realize that it is the other way around

Incorrect pricing and disgusting customer service As per their website the Cultera Lawndressing is advertised at R25 per bag(Glen Eagles Store). I go to the store and see the price board shows R30. I notify the salesman and he confirms the price of R25 per bag and that this applies for in store purchases too. I proceed to the till and here the price is now R35. I inform the cashier and have to wait 10 minutes for them to tell me that it’s only for online orders, which a total lie and easy excuse. I would suggest all customers to please double check thei invoices, as it seems that they actually charge more than what is advertised.

Have been impressed before with Builder's but lately not so much. Lots of products with no prices on the shelves (see fans department). Quite expensive and very few people ready to stop their personal conversations and help their customers. I guess that probably won't be much of a help as their knowledge is probably limited. I wonder if proper training by their managers and suppliers are given to the people working there. Quite frankly with my experience on some purchases done and later returned as they were unfit for the purpose, I honestly doubt it.

Asked to check on something at the Contractors department that i bought 3 days prior, when i went to ask if stock is available the person at the counter told me the stock has not been available for the past 3 months. I know the consultant can check if the other branches have it , they told me they cant check it , this is just pure lazeness to check for available stock. The consultants are incompetent and the customer service is non-existant. Poor service, bad attitude. Oneday when BWH closes the staff members are the blame.

As usual, the specials are not available. Point out website says 52 900w angle grinders on special in stock. They say, " Yes they in receiving and not on the floor." The apparent manager arrives and makes out they will do me a favour and enter them in stock as they only arrived Friday morning. They eventually fetch them to enter into stock. I simply, to their protest, take two instead of wasting more time. Builders warehouse The Glen stop screwing your customers over as it's not the first time we endured this bull.

Plant section well stocked. Saw a lot of plants that are in my wish list, like the dieffenbachia, zz raven, ferns and Spathiphyllum blandum. Builders Warehouse Glen Eagles is the best. We went there on the 19th to buy paint and other items to finish our bathroom renovation. We got everything and the assistance was great. From the lighting guy, the paint guy and the very sweet helpful and patient teller Lindiwe. She explained so clearly why I had to have the builders card. The staff was just great .

Horrible customer service! Ordered timber online on 2022/03/05, was to be delivered 2022/03/07. I had to make multiple calls during the day to hear when they are coming, being told each time it was on its way. Last call 15:30 the dispatch manager informed me the order wasn't on the truck and due to them doing stock take 2022/03/08 the order might be fulfilled on 2022/03/09. I can completely understand Massmart suffering R2.5 billion losses with such a pathetic workforce. Goodbye Builders

This serves as your conventional "building materials" warehouse. The store is big enough to house most, if not all your building material, arts and crafts, DIY or renovation needs. One thing that the staff here can improve upon is to consistently be at their posts of operation. I've experienced having to wait for service numerous times. The store is big enough to attract a large enough patronage, so expect to wait in a queue for checkout, especially during weekends and public holidays.

I personally do not recommend going to this branch. We ordered a generator online(as their online website said they have stock). We phoned them this morning and they confirmed that our order has been processed, we can come in and collect our order, we went to collect and we got told they do not have stock. The in store service was terrible and slow, thanks to nothing we asked them to refund us, with a mission the money will only reflect back into our accounts in 7 days.

Staff members I dealt with were welcoming, knowledgeable on their products and offered various options within the range of affordability. wide variety of stock is available on site, the warehouse is functionally set out and the signage is legible making it an effortless to navigate your way around the warehouse. warehouse is clean and neat including their back collection yard I found prices to be competitive and are Regionally based.

Marvin's service is awful and he doesn't listen to his customers. Instead, he simply dismiss the customer and orders refund without even listening to the problem. The person who checks the gas heater listened and understood my problem, by the time I left the store, I was satisfied with the assistance provided by the consultant who tested the heater and he deserved 100/100 and Marvin receives - 50/100 for his poor customer service.

We got to the store looking for a specific product. When we approached a staff member, he had to get someone who knows about a product and then that person had to get someone who knows of the product. When we were finally assisted, we showed the staff member what we were looking for from your website and was still advised on the incorrect product. The staff's mood is very off in general and as a result makes them unapproachable.

Generally efficient, courteous, helpful and well informed staff and goods at reasonably competitive prices...I have always enjoyed shopping here but was left disappointed and frustrated at the protracted delay in having the goods I purchased delivered on time. As a result, workers I had employed to perform the work had to be put off, resulting in a knock-on effect also in terms of other work having to be deferred by a few day!

There was a lady named Maria at the online orders desk that seriously went out of her way to assist with an online order I had placed THAT day. I ordered two small heaters and since the stock went off the shelf she went out of her way to make a plan that I was happy with! TOP NOTCH SERVICE. When I got there to buy a Generator, the shop was relatively empty, however, I waited a long time before I got assisted. I was told there is a lady of that section who is supposed to help, but she was a no show. After waiting a while of waiting, gentleman came to assist and he seemed knowledgeable about the products and ultimately I bought the generator, but overall the shop left a bad impression on me.

Got caught with a "Special" that is not so special after all. Online purchase of Ryobi 50L Air Compressor with Spray Gun Kit resulted in a delivery nightmare. Waited the entire day at Home with Driver wrongfully returning the Item to the Store due to "unavailability of recipient". So now we will have to Pay to Fetch and the "Special" works out more expensive than all of the Competitors quoted prices?

One of the most frustrating places. Staff is pathetic. Nevermind never being at their counters and just wandering around, they're generally even clueless about the very departments they're supposed to be 'specialized' in. This counts for almost all departments - paint section is decent though. You only go here if you know exactly what you're looking for and have no questions about anything.

A great experience I had here, I must say, right from the entrance to the PayPoint and checkout. Things were being done in order, every department with representatives to attend to you swiftly. This warehouse is a hardware home and is highly recommended for all builders. I went there to get a telescopic rod which I have checked around the town. The customer service is top-notch. Kudos

The most helpful person at the shop was the trolley assistant. He understood the value of customer service! For the rest, I walked up and down the shop looking for a product. Eventually had to go to the help desk. At least they had the product as per their website which makes a pleasant change from builders warehouse in Newmarket who advertised 19 items buy could not find me one of these

What a disappointing experience. You are inadequately staffed . I attended at your electrical counter for guidance on buying a specific light bulb . There was no one at this counter and I like other customers left without purchasing anything. The only person that I can compliment is the gentleman at the key making kiosk who did what he had to do efficiently. Well done to him !

I battle to find the stuff I need. When I called the weekend for assistance, I had to wait for about 15 minutes to get help. When the staff member finally came, he wasn't actually helpful. Sorry guys, I just think you can do better. This is a huge place where you can find anything you need for your DIY and I have enjoyed shopping there because of the variety.

Difficult to get some assistance. Staff walk past and don't even bother asking if assistance is needed. Don't see a point for there to be the "Call for service" buttons when it is just ignored. However there is ample stock available and a wide range of items to choose from. This one star is based on the Customer Service aspect that fails to deliver.

Dark and dungeon like. Not a lot of smiles at the cashiers. Can't understand that brands can't get basics right. My expectations are probably to high. Please clean up the 100 or more subjects that calls themselves painters, builders and carpenters that blocks entry and exiting your shop. The customer experience starts when entering your premises.

I asked the guys to drop 20 bags of cement inside the house that's being constructed instead of right by the gate, they refused so I ended up spending the past hour and a half carrying it in myself. If you're not going to do something right just don't bother doing it rather .

They stopped her at the door on her way out because they had to check the camera to see that she didn’t steal the chocolate. She didn’t not steal a chocolate. A bunch of idiots if you ask me. I was disapointed by the gentlemen at glass cutting counter . I got to the counter and waited for almost 20 minutes to be attended ,until I asked who was available to assist me. Only to find out that the man he was standing at timber cut not doing nothing but chatting to his friends ,and when I called him he was very rude.

I'm not a massive builders warehouse fan. I avoid coming to these shops as far as I can, but I was pleasantly surprised when I visited Glen Eagles. I was helped by Knowledgeable staff, I was in and out without any hassles. Just wish the other Builders warehouse shops can be like this. Will definitely be back here soon

The customer service at this store is amazing. Ayanda in the gas section went out of her way to assist including taking a video call from my installer. She was patient and took the time to understand what was being purchased. Keep up the great work as its staffers like yourself who get customers into the store, again!

Totally horrible experience. Will never go there again or recommend anyone to go there. There is no staff at the building section walking around to help you. You have to go to the counter and explain what you saw in the isle or what you looking for. Personally found the staff lazy and unhelpful

I've been to one, been to all, no difference in service. Best service was at plumbing, weaker service at the cupboard section but must give him 100% for trying. They have a great product range

There's no floor assistance in that store. When you ask for something while they chit chatting in a group of 4 tphey just point you to some isle, and you'll have to see yourself out.

As far as BW, goes, not a bad option. Rather big with plenty options. Unfortunately though, the builder's yard is painfully slow. You will wait a long time to get anything loaded.
