Friendly, fabulous community. Blessing to Charles Blagnor who' daughter Dr Margaret Elsworth O.B.E, started it and remained active for more than 50 years. Apart from all the other community work she did. African Education for Schools fund, Shawco & head Red Cross Peadiatrician untill her retirement.. A really treasure of a second-hand book store. All proceeds go to charity and everyone in the shop are volunteers, who are all very happy to help you. You are able to browse at leasure. The price of books are absolute bargains, besides everything goes to a good cause. You can also donate your old books to the shop. I have used this shop for years now and I am always impressed by it.

I have heard so many good things about this place. Incredible bargains on real books. Special finds for all ages. This shop has a real booky-type smell. And to get your hands on a good book becomes within your reach. So many books can be found here at really reasonable prices. It is well worth coming here for an excellent bargain on books!

I love a bargain and I love searching for hidden treasures. My brother was visiting from Australia and wanted to visit one of his favourite old haunts. We shared such a lovely time pawing through tomes and uncovering amazing books at yesteryear prices.

Of all the bookstores, this one stands out. With a wide selection, kind staff, comfortable organisation and the store being hidden enough to make it just a little exciting, I enjoy it, and they will be seeing me again.

We regularly drop off our books here. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We also find great gems, but you need time to sift through the books :) Definitely needs a cleanup and some sort of order.

Nothing beats the smell of old books..... Can sit there for days and never get bored with their various titles, most of which is long time out of print. And all proceeds goes to charity. Support them

The store is located in Kenilworth 18 glossderry road, and no longer in Claremont opposite Cavendish Search Cafda book warehouse instead for directions to the new store.

Best second hand bookstore in Cape Town, hands down. Biggest selection, cheapest prices, nicest people. Cannot recommend enough. AND it's all for a good cause...

They are such an amazing organisation. No matter what you want to donate, books clothing crockery they will treasure it to sell to raise funds for those in need

It is FULL of books but incredibly disorganised. The staff were very friendly and did try to help find our titles - unfortunately to no avail

Very quaint little place. Lovely and helpful owner. Very neat and a wide range of books to choose from. Worth the trip for any book worm.

Great second hand book store. Large collection but not as much turnover as there once was so not much new stock. Deff worth a visit tho.
