Fantastic hospital, most of the hospital employees are committed to their work, sadly some of them are only going to collect their salary and do not really have a spirit of service with the little patients. When I took my daughter because they transferred her from another hospital as an emergency, they made us wait and began to treat her after 12 hours, and they tell me that they cannot do a test because the department that performs it has already closed and that she come in 7 more hours or wait for it to be at 7 am. I arrived at 7 am and they gave her her departure at 5 pm, but they forgot to remove the IV catheter, I tell a nurse, they forgot to remove it, with a bad attitude she first removed the tape and aggressively tore the IV catheter from my daughter, when he did it he didn't even put a cotton ball on it or anything to stop the possible bleeding. My daughter began to bleed and with a bad attitude the nurse went and she looked for a cotton ball and covered without any empathy, she says that she will bend her arm that she will be fine. My annoyance is that they are dealing with children, not adults, not the elderly. Be careful with those who work in admissions they are rude, you arrive on time and want to ask when the service begins and they get upset if you demand that they be punctual and give you quality service and also be careful with the nurses who treat their children well . Children are not animals, they are small that do not even want to go to a hospital, they are afraid and with aggressive nurses the greater rejection they will have of going to a hospital.

WORST HOSPITAL EVER. I came at 10:00pm with my 11 months old baby, so I waited without complaint but c’mon at a certain moment my patience is gone right now! It’s 4:54am and my baby and I are exhausted. I went to ask how many more hours will it take, the nurse said one hour max, and there’s 3 pts before him, however I saw 5 pts going before him ! (While the nurse gets my baby’s paper to check the range, she mumbled “Astii” je comprend le français aussi madame) so then she tells me to go inside the room and here I am still waiting ....5:04am maybe another 30mins for the doctor ... He is a baby for god sake! He cried more than 5 hours continuously and of course disturbing other pts as well... At 5:00am I see only immigrants waiting ... I mean how come ? Are they giving priorities to the “Canadians” first? It’s like if you speak French then bingo you’re in if not ...”loser” is it that ? Well that what’s I felt !! But hey are we not Canadians too?? We are paying tax for proper service not for BS manners and service ! Dear management take it seriously or else I assure you people will not return here! Because to say the truth everyone complained and were frustrated! P.S I did do your so called “online survey” and only the truth and the truth you’ll see there, again the service is SUPER SLOW ! It is now exactly 6:00am and I am still waiting in that room for the doctor to come ...I asked the nurse if the doctor will come eventually...? She said “next file is yours” and that I asked her 20 mins ago ...I think this hospital loves to give us more stress and piss us off!

It was horrible horrible horrible experience with the technician who does the blood test from my daughter at ER. She is rude with horrible experience! We understand that the veins of babies are difficult to find! But she is professional one and should able to find the veins properly! No! She stings my daughter 3 times between her 2 arms and even moving needle under her skin back and forward! An adult cannot suffer this kind of pain and she does it to my 4 months old baby! She cries out so hard because of the pain! I go to check on her and she tells me in very impolite tone if I don't like it, go seat on the chair! Her attitude is very unprofessional during the blood test! We told her to stop because it's unacceptable she just keeps sting her back and forward! After 10min suffer, she finally finishes and leaves us without looking at us and apologize for her unprofessional attitude and technic! We bring this issue to the ER doctor and she sincerely apologizes to us that this shouldn't be happened! We are definitely done with Saint-Justine hospital; even the doctor that we meet is very patient and efficient! But with long hour waiting and unprofessional technician for blood test! We will definitely not going back there for her!

Stupid and uncofortable chairs for seating 10 hours.only 1 doctor serving 100 kids at night time. Unprofessional management. I think they have enough experience to know that there are a lot of kids at night time and they keep only one doctor and about 10 nurses. They are just paper pushers. When you get in there is one person who is just asking if you traveled recently and giving you pink paper. And then another one is caling you just to make sure that your address os correct. And then nurse calls you and to check temperature and pressure. And when I asked them what is the priority of my kid with 10 symptoms she said half pruority and here you go we had to wait 10 hours. My kid couldnt wait anymore and we went home without seeing a doctor. And I dont even know if that doctor alone can help 100 kids with different problems.they improve their security system who is not even bilingual. They have too much nurses half of them dont even speak proper english and they cannot aford them to have more than one doctor. And when I ask why it is like that? The nurse with nothing saying face answering its night time it is always lije that. I am so pist....

I recently had to take my child to the emergency department at this hospital and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Although the wait time was around 3 hours, which is still quite long but average compared to other hospitals, the hospital staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. They took the time to explain everything to me and answer all of my questions, which really put me at ease during a stressful time. In addition to the staff, I also found the hospital itself to be very clean and modern. Everything looked new and well-maintained, and I felt comfortable and safe throughout my visit. The facilities were top-notch and I could see that the hospital was well-equipped to handle a wide range of medical needs. Overall, I was impressed with my experience at this hospital. Despite the wait time, I felt that my child received excellent care and attention from the staff. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone in need of emergency medical care.

This hospital is as corrupt as it can possibly be. They have this superb social worker by the name of Amelie Paquette who is passionate and dedicated to protect this hospital at all costs. To the extent of neglecting a one year old baby having seizures, that’s true dedication. I also would love to thank Dr. Veronique Pelletier for negligently taking absolute good care of my baby who couldn’t say a word. I fought for my son while these filthy animals tried their very best to not be exposed. My eight month old had three seizures in three months and I was kindly accused of Munchausen by proxy. Helas, I was accused by individuals who know so much as evidently one should per their academic success. My son suffered grandiosely in this hospitals hands. He had an urgent BRAIN SURGERY after 8 months of time. After i went to st Justine for my sons second seizure that lasted 5-7 minutes long. After I was accused of MUNCHANSEN BY PROXY BY DEVOTED DOCTORS. I will see you soon in court xxx

Worst hospital in Montreal.. im a high risk case and Dr line Leduc wrote to do an 3 Ultrasound on 2 weeks intervals but they did not accept it .. they want separate papers with separate dates.. they want me to go back to the clinic and wasted my time for stupid things, Another story : they lost my hospital card in the laboratory and had me to do another one! A third story: Dr wrote her name but did not sign the ultra sound paper and they know how is my doctor from the hospital data but they want me to go back to the clinic for her signature. A forth story: Dr wrote same analysis for me and my husband but did not repeat the name of the analysis on my husband paper and i already showed them the reference saying x2 but they did not accept it until i found another dr in the corridor of the hospital to write it and sign the paper.. All that pushes me to leave the hospital.. its lot of stress for pregnant women .. im sorry dr Line leduc but i had to leave this horrible place

Brought my 2yr old daughter due to on and off fever for the last 5 days...arrived there at 6:45PM went into the triage at 8:39PM after being checked by a nurse i was told that tha waiting time was about 6hrs. We waited a little bit maybe it is not bad after all.The waiting area was full and people that were there before us. At 9:30 we decided to leave because my daughter is getting irritated and she won’t be able to sleep there with all the activities. And I am afraid instead of getting treated she would get sick more. On my way out I asked one patient that was about to leave if how long they waited after the triage she told me they’re daughter was exemption because she had poisoning...They were there already when we arrived. But counting the time we get there, 6:45 and they left 9:30 is that what they called exemption. I think with all the old bad review if they really meant to improve their system, they should have done it long time ago.

If I could give zero, I would give zero. They let my child sit in the wait room on a cold chair in an extremely cold room in the middle of the night for 10 hours without being seen by a doctor, a nurse or nobody. This is so infuriating. You would think that there would be a limit of wait time per child. But no we kept getting bumped back at the back of the line every hour as people came in. Mind you my child had something lodged in her ear that needed to be removed. At one point the waiting room was empty except for us and they still didn’t see her. Then people started coming in again and we got put back at the back of the line. Terribly managed. They have one doctor only for the entire emergency. This hospital is really bad, barely has staff working on night shifts and they don’t care about the kids. You ask them questions about what’s going on and they couldn’t care less. You would think they would care about the kids but they don’t

They saved my 18-month old daughter's life. We went there on a Wednesday afternoon and coming from the ER triage, my daughter received immediate care. Within one hour of our arrival, she was in the OR. She received impeccable care from her resident surgeon, doctor, and all the nurses that came to check on her. At her follow-up appointment, we only waited for 20-30 minutes. During that time, they have a wonderful room filled with toys and activities to occupy the children. There are several volunteers that are willing to make their stay as traumatic free as possible. There was a bit of a language barrier at the ER triage, but it did not impede on the level of care received. I can't thank Dr. Quintal, Dr. Erica (sorry, I don't know her last name!), and her team enough. As well as the kind radiologists that were sensitive and gentle with my child. You saved two lives that day. Thank you.

If I could give minus stars I would. I’m crying actual tears after I took my one year old there for a fever. Nurse didn’t know how to take blood sample and she was moving the needle inside his arm while he was screaming his lungs out. And don’t let me talk about how the nurse tried to collect urine sample by inserting a tube which she couldn’t find urine after few minutes of him screaming from excruciating pain. After fighting with her about how she doesn’t know how to do this (which she claimed she does to hundreds of children every day and very professional at), she puts a bag to collect urine which was done in 5 min with no pain or discomfort. Staff is very racist and I was able to see how they treated the “québécois” vs. Other ethnicities. This is the first and last time in my life to come here even if it was the last hospital on earth. Please please avoid at all costs.

Worst worst worst emergency service always ,waiting since 8hrs and still nurse said u can wait few more hours because Baby rashes is not an emergency case,at least they should tell me before waiting. No seriousness at all …if it’s their family they never do that …..zero star…only god’s knows what priority they are doing inside. The nurses in the emergency are very cruel no empathy no sympathy no compassionate to work , no dedication at all …. They are not even concerned anything about children. Worst worst horrible nurses ever I seen I my life specially on 28/03/2023 evening shift and night shift 29/03/2023 …I am waiting here since 14 hours and still waiting to see a doctor after repeatedly asking. Two Doctor attempts for my kids and they are well professional and passionate to their job .

I’ve been here twice and my son has had a rash for months. He’s had it since the last time he’s been there and they didn’t even look into it. I waited over 17 hours for them to diagnose him as HFAM even though the pink eye is not a symptom. No prescribed diaper rash cream, no pamphlet on how to treat it (HFAM) the doctor just rushed through it the resident took more time to observe things. I feel like no one has a clear grasp on things at this facilities emergency section. His rash got dismissed twice and he’s had it for months! Both times! You really have to probe and push to get things done properly. You shouldn’t have to do that at hospitals. They should be probing and pushing you. If your going to the ER make sure you pack for a full day and PROBE!! You’ll be utterly disappointed if you don’t…

  • Alexandre Roy-Lachance

Terribly disorganized. We went there for my son’s blood test and were told to make a blue card at the emergency admission. Went there, got told to go to general admission, which was closed. A guard then sent us again to emergency, where another guard told us to go straight to counter B. Girl at counter B screamed at us to go sit down before I could even explain to her that I just needed a card for blood tests. She screamed at me twice actually. Super impolite and from what I gathered she didn’t even know that blue cards were done at the emergency admission on weekends. Terrible service. The nurse ended up doing the blood test without a hospital card and even she was baffled by what she heard and suggested we write a formal complaint.

  • Susana Segura

Long wait time because people show up for things that are non urgent (gastro, fever due to mild viral infection, benign childhood deseases, etc). A child that is severly dehydrated, obvious signs of head trauma, severe allergic reaction/ asthma attack, a fractured limb, those are all situations that require a visit to the hospital. Otherwise, parents should go to walk in clinics instead. That's what they are for. Also, very important to call info-santé before going to the emergency. They will let you know if a visit to the emergency room in necessary. I've been there twice with an infant (after calling info santé) and was seen instantly (barely had time to sit down). Service was excellent. I think common sense is the key here...

  • Galina Ribina

Dr. Delphine Delrieux of assisted procreation department told me there’s no hope for me to have a child. Her job is literally to help people have children and she’s absolutely not qualified to do that, lacking both the medical knowledge and basic empathy. I went for a second opinion and it worked; more than that the case wasn’t even difficult. Why did she have to be so dismissive with me, reducing me to tears? Is she a narcissist enjoying humiliating patients? Also the hospital complaint department is a joke, they will do something only if there’s death/serious damage. You read it right, you have to die in the hospital to get some sort of real follow up.

  • Katayoon Noparast

We had an appointment for blood test today 11/27 at 8:15 am and 8:30 and got there 10 min before our appointment. The receptionist didn't wear mask and kept ppl in the waiting saloon for an hour while he was sitting on his chair without doing anything. We were 8 ppl in the waiting saloon and he started his work at around 9am. That was the time when I noticed that he is the person for taking the blood test too and felt so bad and asked him to give me back the requisitions. He got an smile and gave me back the papers. It was so dismissive and disrespectful and we came back home with a headache due to fasting and this disrespectful behavior.

  • Helene TRAN

My 8 months old caught Covid and had difficulty breathing. The wait was of course extra long in the waiting room then to have a proper room (which is normal considering the number of little patients there that weekend). We might have been lucky but each person of Sainte Justine was exceptionally kind to us. Everything was handled as its best as feasible I think. So, just wanted to say HUGE THANK YOU to Sainte Justine’s team (including the réceptionniste, the cleaning lady & the security guards) for making my daughter breathe and smile again. And I hope I will not see you again!

  • Crackie Crackle

I have a profuse migraine, I twisted a muscle in my back and can barely move, but if I miss today’s appointment they made it very clear they won’t give me another under pretext of the government not letting you reschedule if you miss two. And the only reason I missed one to begin with is because they told me the wrong month-I made the secretary repeat it twice AND I obviously wrote it down. Absolutely unacceptable. I réalise it’s a hospital to maintain your health but if your health is telling you to stay home in bed and recover before going, your health should come first.

  • The Dominator

Avoid this place at all costs. Man handles the burgers with his hands. I did not see one time he washed them. The manager or employee told me that it is not mandatory to have gloves. They think that gloves spread more disease than somebody’s hands who hasn’t washed them since I was watching him make the food. Something is screwed up with these people. Also the food workers have an attitude problem (especially the panini girl) retrain some of your employees for customer service. All I wanted was ice in a cup for my coke and she wanted to charge me .50.

  • Eva Suarthana

Our young infant was hospitalized due to fever and we had a very good experience throughout the admission process at the ER and during our 4-day stay. The triage system worked well. We didn't have to wait at the ER given the nature of our child's condition. The medical staffs wee professional and friendly. We're English speakers and didn't have any problems in communicating with the staffs. St Justine n'est pas un hopital, mais c'est une maison de la vie (St Justine is not a hospital, but a house of life). It's not only their motto, they're living it!

  • Kyle Broda

Been here for 6 hours now with my 1 year old who has a fever and the room is full of people in the same position, some who have been waiting even longer. I dont understand how you think that people can wait for hours and hours with no updates as to when or if we will see a doctor. Why wouldn't you simply call people on their cell when it looks like the doctor will be ready in an hour. That way we dont have to keep sick kids in a room for 6+ hours while they get sicker. Very very poor organization from whoever is in charge of systematizing this.

  • melanie kim masse

We came here yesterday with my son that is asthmatic after being turned to go home with a diagnoses of only a flu from the children's. They helped my son get the help he needed with his asthma as he was clearly still in asthmatic distress. And they were amazing with him and to us. And also found he had a double ear infection and needed medicine by intravenous. The best hospital for children we have! They were caring and made us feel like our son was getting the best care possible! No words will ever let them know how thankful we are to them!

  • Esperanza Raider

I got sick and the the doctor told me that I have a bronchit. The doctor told me that will pass and if got worst to come back. They don't like the give antibiotics but with a bronchit...... Make me thing what make the diploma for. Anyway, the experience that I receive wasn't beautiful. Doctor should care about the patient instead make us waist our time. Even so my bronch hurt, I can't do anything. At least my second child is fine. Even so all the test I been pass won't do anything. I went in the morning really early and get out at 6 pm.

  • Antoine Lecrux

I went to the ER a couple of times for my kids in the last 9 years. Wait time has always been decent as I came here for real life threatening emergencies. I see a lot of people complaining about wait time. Before getting, there, please understand the basic concepts of triage. If your kid's life is not at risk, you'll wait, maybe a very long time. From my personal experience, nurses and doctors are very compassionate and professional. I never had to complain and I would even encourage people to donate to their foundation.

  • OLUWATOYIN ARUBUOLA

This is the worse hospital in Quebec, my experience today was nothing but a disaster. I have been here since 5pm and this 11:53pm they have not attended to my son despite the severe pain my son is having in his ears due to either infection or something else. Just because I cannot speak French they keep pushing me aside and other people who got here 2hrs after I got here had already been attended to and their already going home . The Healthcare workers here at St Justin Decarie, you guys can do better..

  • Samaneh Khanlarzadeh

Very impolite nurses and doctors, last time after 10 hours waiting for seeing the doctor, I saw the doctor at 1:30a.m. and she told me I am lying about my daughter's fever and after 8 days my daughter still on fever, I went to the Royal Victoria hospital again and after some examination they said my daughter's lung has an infection, it was like a nightmare for me ... I wonder how can I describe my child situation when saint Justin's nurses and not trust parents I never come back there for any reason

  • wael badawy

We had a terrible experience in there. My 10 year old kid was being intimated by the nurse who shouted at her because the girl was afraid of the needle. She threatened her that she will ask her colleague to hold her down while taking the sample. She even shouted at my wife saying that she should control her daughter!!!. Not to mention a couple of implicit comments about our language. We had to leave without continuing the examination because we were afraid of her. A horrible, horrible experience.

  • adnan el mousawi

Very long hour waiting!!!very bad service!!!unhuman!!!i dont know why they called it emergency!!they should change the name to slow death!!horrible!! We entered the emergeny at 11 pm ,and, after waiting for 2 hours they called us for picking room, where the nurse told us that we have to wait for 5 hours to see a doctor. After 5 hours waiting,i went to ask the receptionnist about our turn, she said that the next call will be at 9:45 am in the morning. It was a very horrible experience

  • Maen Hadid

I went to emergency around midnight for my little daughter and had to wait there around 7 hours as there's "only one doctor at the emergency night shift" and I saw a nurse and a doctor for a total of 15 minutes. The staff seems professional but most of then lack compassion, surely everyone will be complaining for waiting long time but saying "it's normal" and "doctor is busy" doesn't help. If I had any better option I'll go for it for sure, I hope I never have to come back there.

  • Karen Perez

before arriving at the hospital they were already preparing everything to receive my daughter in intensive care, a thousand thanks to all the nurses, doctors and other staff in the intensive care unit, for saving my daughter's life and helping our family to going through this difficult path, we still have some tests to overcome, but I know that my baby is in the best hands, the commitment of the people who work here is incredible, thank you very much

  • Lawrence Fishburne

To get any follow up on your file you have to fight for it, they treat patients as a problem and make you feel like you don't exist. Absolute lack of transparency, no one REALLY cares about the patients. They are all professional in person, however, when there's a difficult case they just don't give you any information and don't return your calls for months. One might as well die waiting for the return. Serious lapses in management.

  • angelica oloteo

Worst Hospital ever!!!! went there at 10am for my daughters abdominal pain and fever, they checked her at 11am.A nurse says WOW SHES BURNING!!!!tylenol given and says will be on priority...my God I waited for 3hours,fever did not subside and approach another nurse to check her again..fever still high and given ADVIL says it wont make her the priority as medicine is given...waited another 7-8hours before you could be seen by a doctor!

  • Kaur Nothing to say More

❌❌Worst worst worst emergency service ,waiting since 12 hrs and still nurse said u can wait few more hours because Baby rashes is not an emergency case,at least they should tell me before waiting .v. Bad zero star.I hate it Second Review on 20nov.I went to hospital on 19nov and waited 16hours there,, and it was useless ,,no medicine nothing TOO TOO BAD emergency service,Zero star

  • Teresa Gao

Very good experience. Went to emergency last night. Not busy, seen real fast - 1.5 hr from we arrived to see the doctor. The doctors were super nice! My baby cried a lot. Dr Marie was very patient and calm. She and her colleague or attending doctor, they went extra miles when we couldn't do a test. They are amazing! It's never fun to go to hospital, but they made the stay so much better, and I really appreciate it!

  • Mashada Kamal

7 hours and still waiting with 2 year old with bad case of flu. Too much time invested by now to just get up and leave. Told me there are 3 people before me. 5 people had gone by and still no call or doctor. Asked nurse why arent we still called, she said depends on priority. Word of advice if your child is not dying or not covered in blood find another emergency or local clinic. This would be my last time here.

  • Noa

Went there with my newborn.THE SEATED ME NEXT TO A CHILD WHO HAD COVID SYMPTOMS! MY BABY IS 5 DAYS OLD! AND TO TOP IT OFF THEY BOTH READ AND GAVE THE WRONG CHART. THEY PROCEEDED TO GIVE ME THE WRONG BRACELET AND THE WRONG CARD AND STILL SENT ME HOME WITHOUT CORRECTING THEIR MISTAKE NOT TO FORGET TO MENTION THE DOCTOR STUCK HER FINGERS IN MY CHILDS MOUTH WITHOUT A GLOVE! OVER HYPED FOR NOTHING THIS HOSPITAL!

  • George Roukos

Simply dysfunctional! Whoever responsible for this hospital should work not only on adding buildings and having nice drawings on walls, but on reducing wait times, kids don't know the concept of waiting, parents struggle to hold them, waiting 8+ hours to see a doctor is a complete failure, i pray no one ever needs a doctor to see their kids but if happens to me again I'm not going there anymore.

  • Mary Mary

Waited 40 minutes for hospital card. Then 15 minutes at desk waiting to tell the secretary of my arrival. the whole time they were discussing about how one of them should or not call her boyfriend. Then she has the gall to tell me i late! For blood tests, they were calling people who had come after .me. i believe they were being racist. But the woman who did the blood test was an angel.

  • bolt thrower

Honestly this hospital has THE WORST administrative staff I've ever seen. The clerks, secretaries, the ones who book appointments. Especially the NEPHROLOGY department, my god the older woman who takes the appointments is extremely ignorant and rude. Mean even. Hateee calling there because of her. We have received great care from the medical team however, hence the 3 stars.

  • Neeru Gandhi

I am going here for blood test for my daughter's my voucher no is 36 and now on screen no is 78 and waiting area is almost free 4-5 patients are here left for test. But I am still in waiting from more then two hours. We are refugee but government pay for us why they make difference in other patients and between us. It's not for first time it's happened with me second time.

  • Mary Yumi

Awful experience. I don't know how and why some of them became nurses when they lack so much humanity. One nurse opened my son's mouth so forcefully that he ended up bleeding and crying from pain, which annoyed the nurse... No empathy nor patience whatsoever, even though they are dealing with kids. Also, having to wait 18h just to see a doctor? How ridiculous!

  • ErisWhistles

I was very sick for a few weeks and came to St Justine for medical help, I was hospitalized for 3 days and in those 3 days I met some of the most energetic staff and doctors ever. Service is potentially slow but as it stands with covid it is completely justified. My hospital of choice for nearly my entire life. Definitely recommend especially for children.

  • Amanda Orr

My daughter went the ER at 2 pm and a doctor saw her around 5 pm. They treated her pneumonia very seriously and I can’t thank Dr. Vincent, Dr. D’Angelo and Dr. Fiscaletti enough for taking care of her. Also to all of the nursing staff who worked so hard throughout the night of our stay. I highly recommend this hospital for excellent care towards children.

  • Constance Tordjman

My partner and I are so very grateful for the kindness and the remarkable efficiency of the staff at Sainte Justine. The birth of our baby boy was hard, long and quite challenging but we stayed calm thanks to everyone being kind and reassuring. We couldn't be more thankful to the birth unit, the NICU staff and the mother/child service of the hospital!

  • Awal Matin

I’ve had several visits at this hospital for my nephew and they’re very dis-organized like some of the other reviewers have stated. One recent example: they changed my nephew into hospital clothes and took his measurements, weight etc. Then another nurse came in and told us they had the wrong person …ummm? Glad we didn’t come in for a surgery

  • Prince Torres

Like everyone is saying... exaggerated wait time and to many nurses. One for each question theyll ask you! Maybe youll get lucky and receive a polite service. Went at 2 am... why do they need 3 security guards at night? They were just chilling, talking together. Same for the secretaries. Discussing outfits and drinks out loud -_-

  • Stas Slav

If I would have a choice of 0 stars or negative, I would go for it. Waiting time is over 10 hours with only 4-5 patients in front of me. Almost 5 hours they did not call anybody. Last time I was here the doctor probably put the wrong diagnosis and did not even look at my child, they just sent me a student to ask questions.

  • Basem Rajjoub

My little son pocked his eye with his finger by mistake. When we took him to the emergency, they treated him as a very urgent case and his eye was examined and treated very well. Thanks to the optometrist who was following his case day by day till the injured eye came back to normal with no pain and good vision. …

  • Maria Z.

Emergency department- I brought my 5yr old child here for "better pediatric care" The experience with the nurses was absolutely horrific. Not one was kind or child friendly. They treat kids rough with rudeness and attitude and don't make it less stressful or scary for them. They must also work for West Jet on the side.

Expect a triage waiting time (just to see a nurse) to be about 2 to 4 hours. After that be place in several locations for hours more. Been here at 12pm it's now 10:330PM. And expect to be in waiting room with no physical boundaries. If you fear Covid still or the safety of your child, I wouldn't recommend it.

  • Yuri Belkin

During more than 8 hours of waiting in the hospital emergency department with my 11-year-old daughter complaining of severe ear pain, cough and hoarseness, they only checked her body temperature once!!! Neither the nurse nor the doctor approached my daughter even once!!! We back to home at 1 am!!!

  • Omar MT

As many other hospital this one reflects the mess of Canada and Quebec health system. There are not enough doctors/nurses causing people to wait more than 12 hours before getting somebody to see you. The sad thing is that there are no more choices than to stick with this inefficient system.

  • Hajar LA

More than 6hrs waiting and when I requested Tylenol for my 2 years old as his fever started increasing, I was told someone will call me in the triage for evaluation and nobody called till 2hrs later. I have no idea what is happening with the health care in Quebec, but this is ridiculous

  • Rimpy Nar

My baby has a lot of fever and went to the emergency. They checked and said go to waiting area. After 5 hours said the doctor will come back after 10 hours. How they can do this. No doctor available to see the patient and staff never listens to anyone behave rudly. Very disappointed

  • Maurice

The wait time is too long, we were told it’s a 1 hour wait and we waited for over 5 hours. Only 1 Dr seems to be working. The medical system needs to be improved! We are spending hours in the waiting room while other patients are coughing next to you and spreading more viruses.

  • ELAMPARETHY HARIDOSS

Waited for almost 7 hours to see doctor unfortunately there is one doctor to take care for 30+patients. Most of them left after waiting for so long. I would appreciate to appoint more doctors during night shifts since there are kids with fitz has been given Advil and Tylenol.

  • S.M. Demerjian

Its been more than 1 hours in the emergency room, my 7 month old baby is wearing a hospital gown sleeping on the er bed and the doctor hasn't come to see us and we can literally hear the staff on the other side of the door talking loudly and laughing like they're in a cafe.

  • Ashley Sutherland

So my daughter who was very young at the time gave birth to twin baby girls at 27 weeks, the staff here are amazing! I am from Ontario and do not speak french at all (I was panicking) they were very polite and well mannered I would recommend this hospital to anyone any day

  • John Insogna

Give the star to wonderful staff but besides that, making kids and babies wait for 8 hours to see a doctor is really not acceptable I went to emergency with my 2 year old , only 5 people in front of me and had to wait 8 hrs what if there were 20 people before me?

  • Christine

Never seen a hospital who cares more about their patients. I had the best experience there. Doctors take their time to talk to the parents, they explain things in simple and non-scary terms for the kids. Their nurses are the sweetest, kindest people I ever met.

  • persia shiri

Hi prepare urself to lose a minimum of 10 hurs+ in there ,if u went for emergency , I even don’t know what’s the definition of priority for them!!! And if u aren’t from here and cant speak French , good luck (people behind the desk will treat you like garbage )

  • michael diaz

Went there because my daughter had a diarrhea for 3 days. Waited 3 hours for the registration and triage. After the triage, the nurse said that the waiting time for my daughter to be seen by the doctor is 9 hours. Healthcare system in Quebec is a mess.

  • Jacinthe Lucie Moreau

I know this hospital since many years because when i was a kid; i went there many time because of my health problem and during my teenager too. So, i will be volunteer for the sick childrens and next tuesday (June 27); i will be there for the meeting.

  • Dino1164

Brought my daughter for a scan. Our appointment was for 12:30. They put her IV in at 12:45. It’s been 45 mini and still no scan. She keeps crying that the IV hurts. Try unorganized place. I think they forget that they have young children as patients.

  • Matti Levy

Our baby was born early, with a complication. He's still here at 3 months, and the hospitaI amazing!!! Best surgeons!!! NICU team is one of a kind!!! Super clean rooms! Thank you for making our journey easier and so much more pleasant! …

  • Oliver H

Wait time is exaggerated, we are dealing with sick kids!! I was burnt by them when my daughter was a baby. She is 15 now and we had to take her last night. Should have never dropped my guard and gone with my other instinct. Nothing has changed!!

  • Mayank Patel

I went to the hospital emergency for my daughter three times in 2 months and she had too much pain in waist and back but we had to sit and only wait for doctor and even doctor could not took any decision and they also didn't give any medicine

  • Araz Adam

The front staff in the emergency department is cold as ice. Don't try to ask a question, just sit and wait for your number and name to be called. Bring a stroller a pillow a blanket and lunch bag because you will be here for at least 6 hours.

  • JAVED QURESHI

My 13-year-old son received excellent care and treatment in CHU Saint Justine hospital during the past week from the first ER process, throughout treatment until the discharge today. I’m very thankful to Dr. Jantchou, Dr. Faure at GI

  • J S-Gh

Great service, they prepare well.the child for a pre-operation and after the operation, as well they keep a track of the child by phone for a year to make sure everything went well, this is under your approval of course. Great staff

  • Farzad Es

We had an appointment today. Waited over an hour to just get the hospital card. Then waited another 30 minutes for them to tell us our appointment has been moved. Claiming they called us!! Worse service ever. No respect to patients.

  • wissam zein

Waited 9 hrs for a pediatrician. My baby's routine is all messed up. Follow up appts during preg took an avg of 4 hrs. Staff is mostly unilingual-French. Come here if you want to wait hours and to bug up your baby's routine.

  • Dhivya Anantha

It takes long time. Please keep hot water dispenser in ER waiting room. It would help lot of kids because they can't drink cold bottled water or the one from dispenser is too cold. Please try to reduce the waiting time.

  • Amel Eladly

Very, very bad service, and very, very long waiting hours, even though the children are tired thay don’t care . I have not seen such a situation in any other children's hospital around the world. Don’t go there

  • Kannan Rk

Horrible Experience, such a long waiting to see a Doctor u need to wait minimum 7 hours . So be prepared for that especially those came here for first time . I don’t know why the health care system like this …

  • Sandra Diarbakirli

We waited 4 hours before being sent to triage to see a nurse, and 8h later we were advised that there was still a long wait time to see a doctor. We decided to go home and take her to a clinic in the morning.

  • Adil Khan

The most pathetic staff ever seen in my life. They will make you wait 7 hrs in emergency and after treatment they will push you out of the room. There must be a reason that Montreal is rare in good doctors.

  • Juan Huertas

Waited over 2 months to get an ultrasound appointment. At the hospital, I had to wait 3 hours with my 15 month old baby to be seen. No nap, no child friendly waiting rooms = complete disaster.

  • Shova Akter

Very poor service. 8h30 hours waiting still don't see doctor. Do not come this stupid hospital. Montreal children hospital 500 times better than this. Try to avoid this hospital with any cost.

  • Christian and Allegra Poschmann

Good luck finding someone who is willing to speak in English with you. One doctor said to me: “I’m Québécois, so I speak French”. No, you’re a doctor above all things, and should at least try.

  • Patricia

This hospital is just the best. The doctors and nurses are very friendly and they will never miss an opportunity to talk with you. The hospital is always clean and very secure. Love it.

  • Abdel Abdo

A hospital that does not live up to the name of hospitals. Lack of interest and indolence at work and inhumane waiting time. In sum, the health system is below zero. Welcome to Canada

  • DES

I will never forget when I first brought my daughter to see Dr. John, ENT. He was awesome and made us calm. He followed up the recovery of my daughter and answered all our questions.

  • Hekmat B

Awful services, unfriendly staffs, Waited in the urgence from morning to evening by a sick kid without lunch or anything else. How a sick kid can tolerate such a long time!!

  • Sam “montrealsam” Totah

Hospital is always a hospital! You can expect all types of experiences. Time is of essence! You have to be patient. Volunteer your contribution and expect positive returns.

  • Katryn Petit

Best hospital ever for our little ones! So many little things make all the difference in our babie's experience. It makes their healing so much better and faster.

  • F

We had very good experiences with the doctors and medical staffs in CHU. They are very caring and professional. Thank you for taking care of our baby girl!

  • Mathieu Mclean

Nurse and doctors were great and very helpful. Administration personal have issues, might want to spike there coffee or give then happy pills, my god ....

  • Pierre LU

waiting more than 2 meals time, child can’t afford that long without eating anything. no information. no management / process . need ameliorations indeed

  • Nzyoki Mulovi

Postmodern health facility with quick response and turnaround times. The staff are friendly, caring and a good number are bilingual (English and French).

  • Maria C

We had to come to get follow up X-rays for a dislocated shoulder and clavicle. Everyone here is super helpful and I appreciate this as an anglophone.

  • Piotr Gazda

there's no respect for workers here externes (studens) who work hard in hospital have to pay for parking - 18$ per day!!! it's like a robbery!

  • stuart navern

The hospital itself is great. The ER is a disaster, don’t even bother, we’re currently on hour 8 waiting to see a doctor..ridiculous

  • Aki

i love this hospital like- however, the waiting time is very very veryyyy long, so come with stuff to entertain yourself!

  • Kiarash Roohani

We had good experience. The doctor was not in rush to diagnose. They are supportive, knowledgeable but it's over crowded.

  • Mark S

12 hour wait for an procedure that has to be done within 6 hours of it happening. Nobody in this hospital seems to care.

  • Anya Ivanov

My nephew came to this hospital and we couldn't be more grateful. All the doctors and nurses that helped us, THANK YOU!

  • Benjamin T

Helped me with a problem I had. Good staff members. The doctors were very busy and the waiting time was too long.
