We sat down at this place after a long morning strolling throught Vatican City. The waitress dettered us from sitting on the table for 3 people, when there was 2 of us, even though the caffe bar was almost completely empty. We ordered two teas, which were served extremely hot, with no sugar, lemon or tea. The waitress threw them on our table, having very poor manners. Also, when I ordered a foccacia sandwich, which was prepared in advanced, and was, for some reason, waiting to get it served for no less than 15 minutes, and asked the waitress what's the problem, she, with very bossy demanour told me to sit down and that I'll get it somehow. Extemely rude and unnecessary. The sandwich was dry and tasteless as well, probably the worst piece of food that I had in Rome. Also, toilet door lock isn't working properly and I couldn't lock it when using the toilet. I am not giving this place 1 star for solely one reason at that is the price, which was very cheap for Rome standards (2 teas and one sandwich was 10 euros for us).

This was one of my favorite breakfast spots on our trip. It's very clean and quiet with plenty of seating in the mornings; there are mostly just a few folks reading newspapers. Everything was reasonably priced and our drinks were ready within less than a minute of sitting down, and they make fresh orange juice to order which might convince you that you're the healthiest person to ever live. Everyone who worked there was attentive and endearing, especially the older gentleman who I assume is the owner or manager. The last time we visited, we had our suitcases with us and he was very sweet about asking us to move them so we wouldn't block a service door that we hadn't even noticed (it's on the decorative wall so it blends right into the pattern). He even brought an extra little pitcher of steamed milk for my café. Very cute little spot :)

Fantastic lunch spot in the heart of Trastevere. Caffe Lungara 1940 is a relaxed spot with a friendly vibe, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Reasonably priced with delicious food and drinks. I had the Saltimbocca with 3 delicious vegetable sides, and my vegetarian partner was delighted with all the delicious options (eggplant lasagna was excellent)! You can’t go wrong with this place, especially with the friendly amicable service! We’ll be back!

A multitude of options suitable for vegetarians

This is the first stop we made for breakfast while visiting Rome, a nice little spot not too far from Trastevere center. The pastry was great and the cappuccino was the best I have had so far. The lady working was nice and helpful while we tried to figure out what everything was. The decor was unique and modern compared to most cafe in the area. I would like to go back and try more pastry and definitely get the cappuccino again.

Siamo passati per un aperitivo tra amici, scegliendo una bottiglia dal menù che purtroppo non era presente nel frigorifero. Abbiamo optato per un altra bottiglia, ma la persona addetta al servizio era inesperta. Il locale era poco curato nonostante lo stile moderno.

It was very busy at lunch time but staff took the time to help me understand how things worked and what all the items on offer were. We each got a main with three sides for 9€. The vegetable dishes were so delicious and so welcome after a week so of restaurant dining. Great find!

So we bought coffee in to go cups as we usually do everywhere. The terrace was empty so we sat down at one of the tables. After few minutes 2 gentlemen came to us and asked us to leave because we had bought to go cups. Again all the tables were free. Humiliating experience and rude staff.

Café Lungara was one of my favourite cafes in Rome. The Espresso was absolutely delicious. We ordered chicken sandwich, spinach and cheese and ham and cheese sandwiches. All of them were so tasty. The freshly squeezed orange juice was also a hit. Pricing was a bit pricey compared to their competitors but all was good when customer service was absolutely amazing.

A charming place located in Trastevere. We dropped by for a quick coffee and spritz. Aperol here - OUTSTANDING. The staff surprised us with a bunch of snacks, corn stole our hearts. Lovely interior. Great coffee. Affordable price rate. Must-try!!!

This was the first cafe I visited while in Italy. I was very nervous to try to communicate while knowing very little of the local language. The staff were very welcoming and did their best to communicate with my husband and I. The coffee was great and my breakfast was simple, but good! Will definitely go back if I am back in that area.

I dont know what happened but we couldnt get the service. Waiter took order from one table at the time, and it would took ages to bring them something. After a while I got inside to take a order but none of the waiters would even look at me. I dont know if they were new or something else, but definitly deserves 1 of 5 stars.

We drank coffee and had some snacks. We sat outside. They had lots of types of food. We tried some of them. Service personel was not friendly and the service was slow. The inside atmosphere is good. Suitable cafe for low-cost travelers.

Went here in Fall of 2016, I’m looking it up on Google now as I am going back to Roma in November and will be stopping by. The best lasagna I have ever tasted in my entire life to this day still!!!! One of the best meals I’ve ever had honestly. 5+ stars!

Posto veramente carino per la pausa pranzo piatto ottimi peccato sia un self service. Arredato in modo giovane in un quartiere storico di Roma consiglio vivamente i secondi, che se scaldati rimango umidi e gustosi. Personale cordiale e simpatico.

Recommended pavement cafe in the Travestere district. Great place for breakfast, espresso or quick bite right by the botanical gardens. Lovely cafe with great view towards the Porta Settimiana.

Very nice place, good food and really helpful staff! It is a good place to stop and have a bite on your way to Trastevere or to the Botanical Gardens. We had coffee and sandwiches (panini), muffins and croissants and they were all great

Mi sono fermata a pranzo. Tante proposte tradizionali o con sapori etnici. Tantissime verdure saporite e allettanti. Scelta di primi e panini. Un posto dove mangiare bene a prezzi ragionevoli a Trastevere.

In via della Lungara, tra porta Settimana e il carcere di Regina Coeli trovi questo luogo un po' d'altri tempi. È frequentato da tanti giovani, soprattutto nel fine settimana. Simpatico e accogliente.

Very authentic place, the food and drinks are handmade. The stuff is sympathetic.

Not a good spot for Gelato. Everything tasted freezer burned and the consistency was flaky instead of smooth. Service was good though, and so was the ambience inside.

Nice family owned place. Good coffee and bakery. Perfect aperitivo place from 6.30 PM. Also tasteful quick lunches, the Italian way.

Posto tranquillo, personale simpatico e disponibile. Ci siamo fermati per un break e ci siamo trovati molto bene.
