I have came a few times now and started to become a regular customer however one of the staff members recently came and didn’t even approach me but from a far distance rudely said to me to sit properly when the seating was rearranged from the original setting and we was here in the morning and bought a drink just popped out for an hour or two she told us to leave when we came back and i would have left in that case but the way she told me was very disrespectful and aggressive and it was embarrassing as their was people staring at us, I have worked as a barista and this is not a way to ask a customer to politely leave so this should be dealt with as it’s a big concern. Every-time I come the tables are always dirty and filled with trays and it’s not very hygienic, don’t get me wrong the sitting area is nice but the dirty tables and chairs ruins the mood.

staff are extremely disrespectful and rude, in particular a short caucasian woman with blonde hair terrible customer service. Was quietly observing and having my coffee in the corner while i observed her get a complete attitude with a young girl for throwing trash that did not belong to the cafe and making her dig it out. Although i personally had a good experience today with other staff and had enjoyed my coffee i was left with a bad taste after i had seen how she had treated the young girl and am unsure whether i would come back to this particular caffè nero. All i’ve got to say caffe nero is train your staff better as i have read about other rude staff within the comment section!

The usual expected from cafe nero, good seating space. However usually there is only one staff to take orders and make drinks. Therefore theres always quite a que and will seldom clean.. should hire more staff especially for such a busy location! Updated review Went back when there were 2 staff present Was much cleaner ... one customer spilled her iced drink and they immediately came to help and clean it, they were quite courteous.

After years of favouring Costa, this is now my goto place of (coffee) worship. Costa have gone the route of Starbucks with selling out for profit over flavour, for example they used to use genuine Chai spice for their Chai Lattes, but now use a cheap inferior syrup, which is absolutely no replacement. Last few Nero branches I have visited have had decent friendly staff, good choice of cake and most importantly great coffee. And Chai Latte :) Oh and not forgetting usually decent seating areas too. And a good points/saver scheme

I was very disappointed to be told that I would not be allowed to sit and have a coffee because I had an ice cream from the opposite booth. It was clear that I was a genuine customer and there were plenty of empty seats. The pop up booth is no longer there, but I will never go back to have a coffee from there and will discourage anyone else from doing so as well because the lack of tolerance is astonishing especially as there were other people sitting there without having made a purchase.

The Luxury Hot Chocolate and Belgian Chocolate Brownie is absolutely exquisite and of brilliant quality. Love the aesthetic atmosphere and would definitely recommend. However, please clear up the tables! As when I visited the tables were quite dirty and were not cleaned which limited seating.

Very nice Caffè Nero that we visited 3 times over 2 days in central Birmingham. Lovely hot chocolate and coffee. Plenty of nice relaxed seating, quiet relaxed atmosphere. All staff friendly and efficient. Place and tables all clean and cleaner than most branches. Even though this branch is in a mall it doesn’t feel like you’re in a corridor of a mall. Great branch.

The window view gets sunny sometimes down Smallbrook Queensway. Normally quiet here, over the Christmas period it got more busier than usual. The same familiar friendly barista's. Free WiFi from The Cloud. Books in one area if people want to read something.

Poor service , a tall blond hair girl was talking to her boyfriend in the corner on shift. Tables all dirty , spillage all over the floor and table , not assisting customer, wasn't even helping her collegue who was serving , making coffee basically doing every thing. 11th Saturday about 3:00pm might wanna go and speak to the staff And retrain her .

Excellent staff, fantastically peaceful vibe to the place that has allowed me to get so much work done in the past. And if you sit in the corner far left of the entrance then you get a view of Smallbrook Queensway's stunning sweeping architecture. What lets it down is the toilet facilities. It's usually locked or closed because it's out of order.

Asked for a latte, received a cappuccino (wouldn’t have been a problem but was literally no milk all foam and non dairy milk can be hard to deal with), as soon as I went up to mention anything, the staff all just seemed too depressed to deal with it. Give them a pay rise or something pls

This is a place where you enjoy yourself for a quick coffee or in good company for a longer break. Sweets are very good and usually the staff is friendly and professional. I really suggest this place in particular if you have the occasion to a table with the good view. Unfortunately is very busy so sometimes I couldn't stay.

Didn't like at all , coffee very strong ( but that's how i like ) , wife had ' hot chocolate ' O.M.G terrible she hated it , it was so very not a smooth taste and it had a powder taste ! To many people reading books, looking at there phone's for a long time with no drink ? What's that all about Birmingham???

It's been ten years since my uni days and i still love hanging out a chilling in this cafe Nero so glad it's still here as it been the focal point of every visit to Birmingham since i moved away the staff are amazing and the atmosphere is always chilled and relaxing little wonder i still keep finding back

Popped to the loo first before ordering my coffee, as I was on my own. Glad I did as I wouldn't want coffee or food from a place with toilets like that. Normally love Nero, which would be my first choice coffee chain but these toilets were revolting. So unhygienic. No wonder the shop was empty.

Not pleased, went in as I had a vip voucher sent on my app which is in date but thier system wouldn't take it or was down but thats not my problem the team should have honoured it me as I came in with valid voucher but I had to pay for something which I shouldn't have needed too bad service!

Very bad customer service staff are very rude don't even listen to your order one lady with glasses called Kona with poor body language I was with my husband and six week baby said we closing soon cant sit and I needed to feed my baby and change him.will never go back there!!!!

This place has the best hot chocolate.better consistency ..(better than Costa and Starbucks which are just hot water sprinkled with chocolate).we also had americano ,almond croissant and delicious tomato basil pesto sandwich . Must visit for coffee and hot chocolate lovers.

Busy Nero outlet in what is essentially a corridor on the 2nd floor between the two main shopping areas in this complex. Decent selection of food and drink options. Staff are efficient and knowledgable. It’s a good place for a quick meeting. Largest table is 4 people.

Cafe Nero had only one girl taking orders and serving customers so it took me more than 30 mins to get my order with less than 10 people before me.

Always a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff with a good choice of music and a good range of food. They also have a few different non-dairy milks (oat, coconut, soy, almond) which is great for us lactose intolerant people and vegans.

Difficult to find this coffee place and portions of cake smaller than in other Nero Caffes. We tried 2 different ones and both were really dry and didn't look and taste fresh. Not so nice experience, unfortunatelly

I’ve been served by their best employer - Rhomayne. He made me my favorite drink and also brought it for me to the table. Really friendly and great customer service

Best customer service of any warm beverage dealer I have ever been too. Greeted with a smile from an average looking man in a Santa whom served us quickly and made us feel like family. 10/10 would caffinate here again.

It's what you would expect from a Caffè Nero. Good coffee and food at a reasonable price, conveniently located. Staff are friendly. Nice place to get a coffee before you get on the train, especially after a long day.

I'm at date today after a long time, I bought a strawberry milkshake. No it was not a milkshake, the taste of strawberry could not be felt. I used to make milk at my house. Orrible. I won't be coming back.

Great coffee as usual, shame too busy talking to colleague so didn't get my hazelnut syrup. Had a piece carrot and raisen cake. Great. Overall though not bad service but not as good as my regular Nero.

I've been to this place quite a few times with friends - I'd say it's definitely the best Nero in Birmingham out of all the ones I've been to so far. It's beyond the standard you'd expect.

A great corner for lovely drinks and a relax. Good staff.

Haven't been for some time to this Nero, tables cleaned after previous customer fairly quickly, toilets clean which is always a good sign and staff very helpfull.

Coffee in morning gives life. Cafe Nero one of favourite chains and this one in particular is great. I miss it since I now don't get off at New Street station.

Lots of places to sit and work. Nice music: not too loud or high tempo. Love the coconut milk latte: best dairy free coffee I've had since going lactose free.

Deserve a big “Zero”. Half of the menu are not available, and disrespectful staff.
