After phoning several establishments in and around Calgary, this business had the lowest priced package. But more important to tell you, is that they provided us with compassionate, gold-standard service. The business works out of Leyden's Funeral Home (which is why they are able to offer lower prices) and the surroundings are calm and elegant in the generic way funeral homes are. COVID precautions: Everyone was wearing masks, hand sanitizer was provided and our temperatures were taken. We dealt with Megan initially - and I hope anyone finding themselves in this situation - can be placed in her capable hands. Lisa was also exceptionally helpful and kind. Cremation is offered on the property. They provide assistance with documents. You are able to see your loved one if you wish for a small viewing fee and can have them dressed in clothes they cared for and leave possessions that mattered personally to them. Years ago a funeral director told me that families can find this comforting regardless of their personal beliefs. They offer an online obituary with no length restrictions for significantly lower than a print newspaper obituary (where we simply provided the link). I was shocked how much more reasonable the fees were here than the last funeral that I had to plan. I hope no one has use for this review, but I also want people to know what a good option it is if the need arises.

I can honestly say the level of service I received was so amazing and kind and compassionate and at no point did I feel like I was doing my loved one a disservice by choosing a less expensive option. They were true professionals with service that far out matched what I paid. We were treated as a family that needed their help not just a regular customer. They are did not have an ‘it for the money’ mentality and at no point we were up sold additional services that we didn’t need. They treated myself and my deceased loved one with dignity and respect. I would recommend them to anyone who needed cremation service for their loved ones.

I unfortunately had to cremate my father and brother 2 months apart. We used simply cremation for my father and had a less than wonderful experience and I decided to use a different place for my brother. I'm glad I did. They helped me through everything step by step, there were no hidden fees like I experienced with Simply Cremation. Claira was amazing, accommodating and very kind and professional. For anyone having to get these services for a loved one, look no further. I pray I never have to go through this again, but if I did, I would return here without hesitation. The kindness and care of this place is outstanding. They handled our complex arrangements swiftly, with detail, diplomacy, and kindness. They had all the information right when we needed it. They handled our family member beautifully. This cost conscious option is strongly recommended.
