This park is very large. Summer time fun in the sun with the 3 yr old upgraded spray park for all ages. Plenty of parking. Clean on-site change rooms with attached rest rooms. It's basically attached to a renovated skate park for all LVL of abilities, Bring your bmx, skate boards or anything on wheels there's plenty of space for all. I found that the kids here interact well with each other and tend to keep the park clean. There is a fairly decent off leash dog park that is kept clean with a few picnic area along the way. Try to stay out of the woods at night as there has been some homeless taking up shelter yr round at times. It's fairly dence woods in the summer time so just btje e aware of your surroundings. This park has been for many yrs a main baseball flow of people so at any given time come on out and chill watching one of the many games being played, and if baseball isn't your thing than come on over to the equally large soccer field to kick the ball around or watch a game. This field is also home to many kite flyer's on those breezy days. On the elementary school side there is an upgraded sanded playground for the little one to burn off the last little bit of energy they have. Now if your done with the sun then come on indoors to the YMCA for some indoor skating, weight room, chill in the gymnasium to play with some balls, or hit the pool with the hot tub. There are full charge rooms and washrooms inside.

Nice little area. Good for kids to run and play around in. Right beside the Jamie Platz YMCA, so there is always a place to go inside if need be.
Playground
There is a small playground suitable for children. Slides, swings, ladders, your typical playground.
Dog-friendliness
Lots of green grass for your dog to run around in.
Picnic area
There are a few picnic benches surrounding the playground, or you could always go sit on top of one of the hills.

This park contains a major skateboard obstacle course, a mini Native American water pond (complete with canoe) and many beautiful trees and open spaces to tan. It has plenty of no cost convenient parking and no fees of any sort. The only drawback is there is no where to eat or drink.
Restrooms
Though there are no available rest rooms, a great dog friendly picnic area and playground is a wonderful spot for people of all ages

My 7 year old son loves it. Especially when it is extremely hot outside. It is a nice little place (water park) for the kids to play together and cool themselves off, to get a much needed break from the extreme heat we have been having lately. There is also a skate boarding park (where my 17 year old daughter and her friends spend alot of time) right beside the water park so there is something to do for the older kids as well.

  • Darryl Learie

This park seems to almost have it all. Multiple official baseball diamonds, multiple soccer fields, a spray park great for toddlers, and even a skate park. There's even plenty of forest with short trails running through, a benches with tables privately hidden within the mini-forest. This park is huge! Probably the best park to fly a kite or a drone without obstacles.

  • Justin

Callingwood Park has a little of everything. There's a waterpark, a skatepark, lots of field space, off-Leah dog areas, decent amount of parking. There is also a great library right there, as well as an ice rink, and a YMCA. It is right across the street from Callingwood Marketplace, so if you need food or drinks its easy to get. 5/7 will return again and again.

Skatepark here is dope. Probably one of the best on the city. You have metal pegs, please stay off granite ledges. Skaters are pretty picky about it, but when you see how quick some of them are wearing, you understand. Quarters don't have backing so don't come here for fly out tricks. Lots of slippery ledges, and cool banks.

  • Sara Dussault

I go to the dog park here. Awesome little neighborhood dog park. Small but good for lazy slow walks. Lots of nice doggos come here. Callings old park has a dog park, spray park, skate park, baseball diamonds, and football/soccer fields. Shared by neighborhood, YMCA, highschool/elementary schools and the Louis Hole library

  • Danielle Passmore

Great park, large open field and space for many activities. An off-leash dog park with it's own little special area with picnic tables, a playground for kids by the school, several baseball diamonds, a skate park and small little water park in the summer. Close to the YMCA, food and many other amenities as well.

  • Kyla Hermary

This spray park is a lot of fun for all ages. Bring water guns, and a small bucket to fill them up in; turn the kids loose! The new change room/bathrooms are just a blessing. Why it for four stars is because there is nearly no shade. And on those hot days being a parent not in the cool water gets very burny.

  • Josh Michael Vincent Hubert-Sheard (Jay Hubbz)

Great park in all aspects of what a park should pertain. Spacious, eventful, free parking, gorgeous girls and guys, windy roads, benches, cooking areas. This park is also clean and needle free from my experience, and that is key. I enjoyed my last excursion there and positive I'll enjoy the next.

  • chris fiddler

Found hubby passed out in the car in the parking lot here. It was nice nobody bothered him. He needed the sleep. This is what happens when you get married at 19 and then your wife leaves you 20 years later. You sleep in your car. So be nice to your wife There's a skate park here. Think on that!.

  • Toby Marquardt

It's a great way to relax or take the dog for a walk through the off leash area, watch a baseball game play with friends when it's not in use like the soccer /football field. Great landscaped green space for doing whatever you like to do like Frisbee, picnics, it's huge!!!

  • Jason Otto

A beagle belonging to an older man bit my dog for no reason and drew blood. The group of old judgemental women who frequent the park late morning came to the defence of their friend. Thankfully my boy is well behaved and didn't rag doll his mutt... This time anyway

  • Raradar Dara

This is a great area for the kids to roam around and have fun while still being relatively safe. It's also quite an open area as well so you can sit back and relax a bit while still having a nearly constant view of the children's activities. …

  • S A

Enjoyed my time there. Huge park and a spray park for kids. Will visit again.
Playground
More of a spray park, really nice for kids
Restrooms
Clean and well maintained
Picnic area
Very huge area and great for picnics

  • [1992] Benny Connor

It's got lots going for it but lacks trees that you can comfortably sit under. Just a bunch of prickle stick trees, the needly ones. But it has Everything else you could really expect a park to have in a semi ghetto nice neighborhood.

  • Angela Wall

Spray park is nice…. Cool and refreshing, the only reason for my 1 stars is the fact on 35 degree weather there is very little shelter …. So you bake in the sun, also the washrooms to the callingwood spray park are closed ….. with

  • Cheyenne M

My kids both LOVE the splash park, but if you have toddlers I would recommend going somewhere smaller. Most parents there don't seem to pay attention to their kids resulting in older kids not caring and running over the little ones

  • Mat Trapani

Grate place all year round , I've been going there with my dogs for years. Its always been a good place for everyone. Big water spray park for kids , Good size dog park , Baseball and soccer fields. Not to bad for parking as well.

  • John Lilley

Callingwood Park is well equipped. Spray park, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, off leash dog area, skate board park and a small forest. Adjacent is Callingwood Arena and the Lois Hole Library and the Jamie Platz YMCA.

  • Chris Gavigan (Sweet Basil Catering)

The skatepark is great. Down side to brining your kids is the unsupervised children with foul mouths and bad attitude. We come here weekly and there always seems to be a few bad apples to spoil the bunch.

  • Sheldon Doyle

Large park with splash park for smaller kids, skateboard park for older kids, small to medium sized off leash area.. with lots of field space for soccer and baseball. Lacking a solid playground.

  • D Geres

This park has lots to offer: off leesh dog park, baseball fields, soccer fields, a water park, a skate park, and its close to a library, hockey rink and gym. Its truely the center of activities.

  • Tomson Li

Biggest park in town, every activity can happen here, baseball, soccer, community events and close to library and ice rink. Barbecue table and pets friendly area. Just come and enjoy the wild.

  • Marcus Trevelyan

This area is great for an afternoon. Very close to the Lois Hole Library and other accommodations such as food and a workout centre (YMCA and the skating building. 5 stars for a great time.

  • Jo-Anne Russell

An excellent place to visit with your children and your dogs I will definitely be going there numerous times over the years. This area is clean and safe, and the people there are friendly.

  • Yussuf Hassan

It's a huge park with multiple playing fields for outdoor games, Callingwood Recreation Centre with 2 indoor skating rinks, slate park, summer shower park, Lois Hole EPL Library, and YMCA.

  • AnNie ThUkU

Very big and fun since there is a dog park where dogs. Kids can play with the dogs. If your scared of dogs dont go 2 the dog park only the flied and park. And there is all so a school.

  • Ivan Kolos

The splash park is great for kids... everything works properly and everybody has a blast... could use some shade for the parents There is also a skate park near by for the older kids

  • Tara Symrustar

Very cute little place, not very big though. Only there for an hour a d made about 4 laps of the offleash areas, including through the trees. There are a few fun paths in the trees.

  • Maurice Hilarius

Fairly good soccer fields, but watch out, the city posts on parking signs in odd places, and patrol regularly, even on Sundays. Simply a cash cow, and should be avoided.

  • Mattie Brown

Great place to take kids...spray park is great on a hot day and picnic tables are available for those who want to use them. Greay place for outdoor birthday parties too.

  • Kyle Ames

Nice stop in the heat...watched part of a triple A baseball game that day... the water park was definitely overcrowded for covid safety but other then that a decent park

  • David Hodson

I didn't use the park, although my daughter played soccer on these pitches in the past. I was here to vote at the polling station in the Lois Hole library on this site.

  • Shannon Sabbah

Doggy loves this park. Always running around and playing with other dogs. Great amount of benches and somehow haven't managed to explore all the trails yet. Love it!

  • Séamus Rudden

An amazing multi-use facility with a spray park, library, off-leash dog park, soccer fields, skatepark and baseball diamond. All easily accessible by transit or car.

  • Frances Kusnyir

Omg spray park area awesome bring chairs and umbrella, towels of course not too crowded plenty of room for every one. Enjoyed it so much got sunburned lol …

  • Alexandra Radis

High school gym class ruined my blaze sesh at the dog park. A dude poodle doggy tried raping my dude poodle doggy. Keep your dogs close... and your enemies closer.

  • Carol Davidson

A great place, safe for kids, it has everything you could need. A library, a water park, skate boarding, off leash dog park, baseball diamonds. Really enjoyed it.

  • Gabe Lerca

My most favourite park in the Edmonton area. Tends to be a little crowded, though. Around 8 pm starts to give you some alone time. No lights to go on after dark.

  • Saint Joe

Was there for the City Big Bin(Garbage) Event and it was well organized and the fairly long line of vehicles moved steadily. Was in and out in about a half hour.

  • Raniel Jarrett

Huge space something for everyone. There is an off leash dog park. Lots of activities in summer and fall for families. Jamie plaza YMCA is right there as well.

  • Ana Marie Dela Cruz

The school admin should seriously work on this. Kids slipping, slidding and hurting themselves and the lunch supervisors aren't even paying attentiom at all.

  • C.S. Elliott

Better in the summer. The splash park rocks. Went to watch my nephew skate. Nice arena, too bad the concession stand wasn't open, could have used a coffee.

  • Natasha* That is all

Went here for Native Provincial Hockey Tournament where my nephew's were playing. It was ok for an older arena. My youngest nephew lost...... Horribly.

  • Jordan O

Not bad, dont recommend for toddlers cuz of uneven ground on the concrete pad. Not a big deal. Good for a quick 2 hour play to get out of the house

  • Abby Freitas

Lots of space for activities, but small off leash area for the dogs. Not well maintained, garbage and items from the homeless around the park.

  • Laura Dajavs

Ok. Needs a play ground next to the spray park. Sometimes clean. Needs more benches But my kids like to go to the library and then spray park.

  • Em Bē Gē

I love this park as it has a no leash area for dogs! Dog owners get to relax on benches while yhir dogs roam and play around with other dogs.

  • nage li

Not bad only it is too crowded and i don't see any wet area in the womens changing room there was only dry change and no private change room.

  • Jorgelina Gill

This park is beautiful, the spray park is big and not that busy... great to relax on the grass while kids play, you will see them always.

  • Tony Chard

Nice dog park with no leash section. People were very respectful. Walk through wooded path was beautiful but the mosquitos were rampant.

  • Dreambig_ 100

It's good except I think it needs a snack stand and internet. Also empty the garbage because wasps are crazy can t even eat your food.

  • Kimberly Free

Close to Lois hole public library.. spacious and pet friendly. Lots of school activities here. Close to a river. Good walking trails.

  • Perry McCool

Love the skatepark its wide open not really safe with fights and all but its a big skatepark with grind rails, ramps, sets, and PUGSY

  • Bloo Soto

The place is recommended for frisbees, picnic or just to unwind with nature. YMCA, EPL are just around the corner which is great.

  • Vanes Ssa

Nice place to see the sunset. Didn't do too much because it was winter and everything was covered in snow. Nice place anyway.

  • Angela M. Porisky

This is a really lovely part of Callingwood. The off leash area is fantastic! My son loved the skate park when he was young.

  • Tryphina Aviles

Very spacious. Lots of things to do. Walk with your dog. Watch the sunset. Catch a baseball game. Playground and a lot more

  • Ethan Filner

Great for dogs in winter and before the summer rains sprout a nightmare amount (at least for my tasty blood) of mosquitos.

  • Matthew Logie

Nice off leash dog park Some BBQ spots, picnic benches. Have seen junkies and homeless people in the deeper wooded areas.

  • Joline Firkin

Small but lots of paths and most of the people here are good dog owners and are respectful of picking up after their dog

  • King

Was ok, not much to do. Plenty of open field tho. Good for kicking ball around and fly kites, as well as running around.
