  • "Amazing area of green space in the middle of the city"

"I visited this park many times on my last trip to Birmingham"

"It's a grass area mainly, has a court you can play basketball or football, other than that, nice to have picnics on a sunny day maybe? Definitely alright place to walk your dog, or just go for a kick about"

"Nice enclosed court for football or basketball carpark could be bigger but parking on the road which is good enough as it is running alongside the road"

"Great amount of grass, it has a tennis courts, but a lot of iron there and the ball gets though the net or the fence, but it's better than nothing, but if you go though the park though the walkway to Hagley Rd, there's a splendid sight and the most squirrels I ever seen!"

Amazing area of green space in the middle of the city. Beautiful tall trees and plenty of community activities take place with organised team football and cricket. There is activity ground for basketball or 5 aside football, as well as an area for cricket nets practice. There are a fair few activities for younger kids with swings, slides and climbing frames. This all with access to a community centre, but sadly this is not open more frequently which would make this centre and even more amazing place to visit.

I visited this park many times on my last trip to Birmingham. nice park hidden in the housing locality.you have plenty of places to play.there is basket ball court and ping pong table with two big grounds(for football) .also it's very scenic in autmun.it helped me refresh on weekends from the daily work of the weekdays.good for run as well.

It's a grass area mainly, has a court you can play basketball or football, other than that, nice to have picnics on a sunny day maybe? Definitely alright place to walk your dog, or just go for a kick about. There is a small park behind calthorpe itself which consists of swings, football court, children's play section, rocking horses ect

Nice enclosed court for football or basketball carpark could be bigger but parking on the road which is good enough as it is running alongside the road. Very big cleverly designed into two separate parks because of the river running down the centre. Also has a community centre in the park where they do activities

Great amount of grass, it has a tennis courts, but a lot of iron there and the ball gets though the net or the fence, but it's better than nothing, but if you go though the park though the walkway to Hagley Rd, there's a splendid sight and the most squirrels I ever seen!

Really calm and soothing. There are plenty of trash bin and benches in the park, unlike some other parks it's properly maintained and there's hardly any litter quite clean and hygienic. There's a football ground there too and jogging track best for morning walks.

  • Haroon

Very calm and tranquil place for a walk. Beautiful open space with scattered seating, with lovely trees and open fields. It has a race track, table tennis, basketball and football court and a cricket pitch. Perfect for a family day out and a picnic in summer.

  • Mikey Thomas

I recently visited this park I found it a warm place and filled with tranquility. It's nice if you just want a nice stroll around for exercise but it's welcoming for both single people and families who want to get out into the fresh air.well worth a visit

  • Chris Close

Used as a car park for the cricket at Edgbaston. Signage appalling. Stewards on duty totally inept. Parking v bumpy. Takes an hour to get out after the game finishes. Avoid if possible although quite close to the ground.

  • Adil Shahzad

It’s a great place to walk with accessible parking on Speedwell Road. There are tracks for cyclists and there is a good amount of trees.
Playground
The playground consists of basketball hoops and football goals.

A quiet corner of a busy city. A peaceful place to visit and allow the fresh air to make you feel better. Escape from the pressures of life and enjoy the colours of spring at it's best. Just relax and take it all in.

  • Adam

Nice open space with decent paths, fair few benches and plenty of green areas. Not mu h else apart from space to stroll and chill. It will show Cheddar Road on your location history, and if you know, you know!

I used to play football on Sundays with my Sudanese community in the park. The area and location are quite excellent , and yet expecting interference with others playing groups is very potential. …

Great little park for a very short stroll, no amenities or attractions other than a little tennis/basketball court. I only really come here when the court Is free as the surface is perfect for skating.
