The park was wonderful,. Neing by the esyer was so relaxing/watching the boats launch along with the people on there having fun. The test rooms could be cleaned and so sir freshers wont definitely not hurt. All in all it was s good place for a family reunion or any gathering. The beach seemed to be very inviting for the kids.

This is a peaceful and quiet beach. I love the serenity here. But I only give it 2 stars because the water isn't the most clean, and a young child acquired hand, foot and mouth disease from playing in the sand. It's great place to sit and watch Gods beauty, but I wouldn't walk barefoot or get in the water here.

This little Park, was for the neighborhood. It was quiet fairly clean, though there were some Wicked looking spider webs on the fascia of the building, the pier was a little dated, but the views were spectacular and there was enough room to play and clean enough to not get hurt

Never been here before. Quite a large park. A lighted soccer field, several unlit ones, several backstops, tennis courts and a large football sized field with lights. Small beachfront. Winding roads, one of the gorgeous old Park District buildings and a Coast Guard station!

  • Kristine Simons

Used the park to launch our kayaks and then paddle the Calumet River. The park ranger was friendly and answered our questions. The modern restroom facilities were clean, had toilet paper and paper towels. Parking was close to the boat launch.

Spider infestation but i didnt mind that! I live spiders and the showers and restrooms are good... Its awesome! Its open all day n night and free parking after 4pm... We seen fireworks and a rave party with like 1000 people there! We even

I love going to the little beach by the rocks in Cal Park! It's really nice to sit and have a picnic and take a dip in the cold water. It is close to the soccer field and the red brick bathrooms. The blue water vistas are filled with sail

This park should be ashamed of themself. This park is huge and plenty of grass and the dogs don’t even have soft ground to run on?!? Then it’s only one park, and there should be two. One for big dogs and one for little dogs, there are no

Since I was a young lad this was the park of choice throughout my childhood. Having said that it was also one of the only choices for the area. Learned a lot from clubs and and programs here. This park needs a little TLC but it still has

Used to go here as a kid with my family always s fun and safe place to go. I had not been there in several years. There was plenty of parking. Beaches are closed but there's lots of park space and you can walk along the beach side. It

This park is nice and spacious. Its also right by the lake which adds to a beautiful backdrop. However, there is unraked dead grass everywhere!!! I'm still cleaning grass out of my car. It also gets very muddy when it rains. If you're

Calumet Park is an awesome, FREE and open to the public park... They allow tents for daytime use, there's a large swimming beach, food vendors, designated fishing areas, ball diamonds, at least one full court and it's open 'til 11p!

Big area for biking, running, walking. There are multiple fields such as soccer and baseball. Swimming with a beach area. Big parking lots. Plenty of parks. Walk paths and they have a cultural center. Background history and public

My late morning visit on the week day was perfect. The Beach was clean and not crowded. The park has a play area for little ones and lots of open space for frisbee throwing. It was perfect for a walk with an old friend!!!

  • Margaret Allen

So surprised to see how high the water level was!!!! OMG!! They are setting up for a event tomorrow starting at 5:00pm and going to be a overnight event with music and dance from indigenous dancers from Alaska. How cool!

My kids like the playground and fieldhouse activities. I'm greatful for the free parking. You can get some good eats at the concession stand and taco truck. This park was made for summer can't wait for beach to open.

  • Tony Garcia

Park never has open gym for the kids or anyone near the neighborhood! I remember when I was little and I would go there and they always took care of us kids ! Now they are short staff and always not available !

  • Chantell Brannon

I love this CPD! My daughters do gymnastics here and my son does soccer! We've played at the playground we swam in the lake we've attended activities here such a great family place I've had no problems here!

  • Jacqueline Darden

It's a nice place to go for picnics and family gatherings. We had fun. The sand needs to be cleaned. There was lots of rocks in it and some dog deifications. If the sand gets cleaned, it'll be much better.

  • Christian Yameogo

Quiet et nice place to have a picnic or any outdoor event. Also, you can play baseball or soccer or run or even run to stay in good shape. You can also bring your small boat to have fun in the lake

Love this beach great for family time & there were food vendors in the area with the best tacos! The vibes were immaculate perfect little beach spot if you have kiddos the water is nice & shallow.

Love this place. I live less than 10 minutes away and found this place after 3 years of moving into the area. Its crazy living in Chicago and never hearing about this park. Its huge and nice.

  • Zachary Robbins

I have a looooong history with this park that goes back roughly 15 years, but if I were to sum it up: - summer camp is phenomenal here, the director is one of the nicest people I

  • Bill Diaz

This was the place to be in the 80's when we were teenagers, family would come from out of town and we would have good times and picnics. Those were the days!!

  • Rick Drew

The place is falling apart and not well maintained. Much is in sad shape. Many parking lots resemble cratered artillery testing grounds. Nice lakefront.

  • Lisa Ferry

Our family had a beautiful time enjoying lunch from the fishery and sitting on the edge of the water while we ate and fed the seagulls our overs!

  • jaime vargas
