WARNING! HAZARD! Their automotive department has crooks for mechanics! AVOID AT ANY COST. Writing this now because months later I am trying to change my tires for winter only to find that they are entirely OVER TORQUED. Look up the hazards of this rookie mistake and you will see that it can cause SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE long term. I went in during the summer to correct a grinding noise on my front passenger side. They insisted on a full inspection; took off all four tires, then tried to point out a bunch of things completely unrelated to my concerns including a "loose control bar" and they tried to tell me both my rear shocks were leaking ( I work on my own care regularly and they have NEVER shown signs of leaking). It was then determined that I needed new breaks in the front as they were seazing up and this is what coaused the noise. I agreed to new front breaks and rotors (a 2 hr job tops) as well as a break-line flush, reluctantly. Bottom line, they took over 4hrs to do breaks and rotors, and handed me a bill for nearly $1000 on a job that could have EASILY been done for half the time and money. The icing on the cake is the incredibly dangerous move of over-torquing the tires. Either this was done in spite, to get return business,or because their mechanics are uneducated and careless. Even their own staff have admitted that they will try to rack up a bill with unsuspecting customers! KEEP YOUR VEHICLE AWAY FROM THESE THEIVING HACKS!

Well, we went there with the purpose of obtaining fishing-related goods. Not being Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom types, we needed direction. There was not one soul available in the fishing aisles who could offer any “expert” advice. There were three other souls in the same boat (pardon the pun) as us. Heading Lake Huron for some fishing, and wanting to know what lures are best for specific types of fish, depths &c. They asked me. They asked my party. Upon being told to “Best Google it, man,” they then asked a sales associate for the fishing expert. The sales associate apologized and said there was no one available. So, you had some very disappointed potential customers who made up their mind to head to Bass Pro to find some answers. That said, I got a quart of Motul 20w50 I wanted, so there’s that. People expect sales help to be knowledgeable in the areas in which they are working. It may be an outdated concept, but folk like talking about things and bouncing ideas off one another.

First time at this Canadian Tire location and it was amazing. This store is huge! I loved the setup and distribution of the store. It was very well maintained, organized and stocked. Great deals and products that I haven't found at others stores, specially the ones where I live: Guelph. I interacted with some of their staff looking for items that I wanted and they were very friendly and helpful. The only issue was the young girl at the cashier who scanned two of my items twice but I noticed right away and she reversed it. Also one of the items didn't have the bar code and she asked me to get another one. I had no problem with that, but the people on the line for paying had a different opinion. Despite this, I will came back again because I loved this store. Fully recommended

Went for vehicle safety check , I am doing every year since 5 years, in 2022 I did with Canadian tire too, but this time totally new level of opportunitistic and disrespectful behavior from mechanic ELIAS, he asked me to remove front and passenger side tint , but I am doing since last 5 years , I did last year with Canadian tire ,they didn't suggested that too.service manager explained legality of Ontario rules, which I am not aware of it earlier, and I am agreed it and asked them to remove the tint. while I am speaking with mechanic he is kind of rude behavior, and his attitude gave me a impression of don't want to serve to me may be because of I am belong to different origin , front office is very friendly .I my self never go this place again, it's not for everyone .

The retail store has a decent selection of merchandise, although it is often difficult to find what you are looking for, what is even harder to find is an employee to help you. Today in the paint department (after waiting for 10 minutes and pushing the assistance button multiple times) an associate was still nowhere to be found. Eventually I left the area to flag down someone, who then informed me the button wasn't working. After a brief explanation of my upset, there were zero apologies to be offered. The party city selection is minimal!

I like to shop here for a variety of products for everyday home use and diy projects. They have genuine sales and a great return policy! I just saw an item I wanted to get in the next year or so but it was on sale for about $800 off regular price... If you can assess quality in a product, you can't go wrong! Another visit today and twice I mentioned to cashier that I wanted to use the max of my points. When I looked at bill, when I got home, the $90 bill was added to my credit card. First time this has happened but not happy!

Service Dept. - super slow. Made a 10am appt weeks ahead to have my rims with snows put on. Told ready by 11:30. Almost 11:30 or 1.5 hrs before my truck was even brought in. Another 45 min to remove one set of rims and put on another. I watched through the window. Most of the time no one was even at my truck. 2.5 hours of waiting on site before I was called it was ready. Terrible! How do you fall over an hour behind by 10am? Why would I trust them for something more complex or expensive?

Stay away from the shot at this Canadian tire - They will rip you off every chance they get. I bought new tires from Canadian tire, and unfortunately they shipped to this location. They charged me twice for lug nuts and a twice for changing the tires. Previously my fiance went to get her oil changed. They wouldn't do it without charging her $300 to "re drill the plug hole" Went to 5-minute oil and they changed it no problems This Canadian tire sucks!

Experiences there is normally okay but during the holidays, they need to have more staff working to answer the phones etc. I called for about 1hr for the automotive department. the phone was just ringing out, I had to call a different department to be told they are very busy and not enough staff there. Holiday times / winters season tire change, have some more staff present. Otherwise it is a great place with good staff.

I had a problem with the auto shop. The actual store location was unable to rectify anything. I gave them 1 star. UPDATE: I am changing my review to 3 stars because of the Canadian Tire HEAD OFFICE . I think Steve did a good job in trying to find some sort of resolution, but this store needs improvement with; auto repair, communication, and needs to answer phones. The store itself is BEAUTIFUL.

Prices are marked wrong on an entire section of the store. I asked to speak with the Manager and I got stuck with Brad. He’s rude and ignorant and said these errors aren’t his problem someone put stuff in the wrong spots. That sounds like something that should be a management issue and should be corrected immediately. I’ll never be back again. Pathetic customer service.

I bought a snow blower online for store pickup. I was surprised to find out the staff assemble and test the snow blower before texting me to pick it up. Great communication by everyone from customer service to floor staff. Four strong men even loaded it into my car. This is why I love Canadian Tire Fairview location!

I’ve always like Canadian tire but the self check out has been awful. Seems to always have issue checking out and there is only one associate who looks stressed out trying to manage 6 self check outs alone. And if you try to use a cashier the line is long too because they normally only have one or two open.

Asked an employee for assistance finding a product. She said if it didn't show a location for the item in the app that she didn't know where it was. She didn't even attempt to assist me to find it in the general area where it should be and she was working in that area when I arrived

What kind of customer service tells you «  you just have to learn waiting for your turn » . After waiting for 15 minutes and asking 2 customer help for balloons help at party city station. I have been waiting patiently and asked nicely for help. Totally regret the time waiting

I can’t say enough about Steph V and her customer service. She made my experience truly a great one and her follow up is second to none. She went above and beyond to help me numerous times and her attention to detail is second to none. Thank you!

Same as any other Canadian tire has a better kitchen section than most other stores but the self checkout needs a serious overhaul. The whole process is garbage it starts off with a series of high pitched alarms to let you know you’re using

I had to have replaced front differential bushings ( noises). I got a story that it will be more than 8h job and they gave me a figure. It was more than double than the one from a car dealership. I was in a pinch and I had accept it. The

I signed for curb pickup and followed instruction. Their system told me I was the 1st one on line so I waited for over 15 minutes then I went inside to Customer care. Attendant took me to the lockers and entered my code. System stated

This location is packed with tons of products, too busy, can't even move. Everything seems to be on sale, but to my opinion prices are still very high. Be prepared to help yourself, because can't find floor staff to help you.

Bought 4 tires and had them installed. They checked their stock and they had exactly what I was looking for. I was a walk in so was surprised to be walking out, totally satisfied, less than 2 hours later. All in $1,019.00.

Very good store, seem to have lots of great deals and lots of variety of product, only down side is you can never find a store associate to help you out.
