"I took a friend who us 77 years old to get a protection order, the police told us it would only take 20 minutes we have been here for 3 and a hours ! No one is telling us what is taking so long and when I asked the security guard she told me to ‘sit down and wait’! I asked another person an hour later and was told to speak to someone on room 703, which I did and was told that he is only one person and ‘we are all suffering’! - is that how you treat the elderly?"

"Rude security guards Unorganized entry system (standing with a small bag of closed foods & the security outside did not once tell me no food allowed, I was inside through the scanner & them telling me no, pointing to an illegible sign in an unwell light entryway) Giving people forms to fill in while standing in line, nothing to lean against whilst writing(luckily I had a pen, but be prepared to be asked by people around you) I truly dread going back"

"I can't not like where I work otherwise I'll grow old quickly"

"This place can be quite scary and intimidating when you on the wrong side of the law so watch your step"

Been trying to contact the maintenance department via phone to follow up on child maintenance with no success. Even sent an email to B Sissing with no response. Switchboard doesnt take messages to hand it to relevant department, just puts you through to an extension that rings endlessly. (Additional edit) Still liasing with a wanda joubert, ms g William's, ms sissing and mr keenen Petersen about missing maintence payment but no response by email and the phone just rings) edit. 04/06/2021 Again missing a payment but no phone number i have gets answered and they dont reply to the emails I send. This office is Absolutely inept when it comes to service delivery as well as common decency. Deeply regret having them move my file from Mitchell's plain to Cape town, who have been more consistent in responding to my emails. In the meantime i have an upset landlord who has not received this months rent. This office really does not care about the families they service or the problems they cause for a single mom of 3...06/10/2021 apparently there's a national outage and maintenance payments are delayed....but noone can send a message or phone to say this? Still phones are not being answered. Called and spoke to one lady, asked her to hold while I get a pen she said ok and then ended the call... honestly pathetic service

I can't not like where I work otherwise I'll grow old quickly. Very different Magistrates indeed. Some reasonable, some not so reasonable but hey. I signed up for this‍♀️. This is one place that holds a lot of integrity and I haven't come across anyone who does not conduct themselves in a respectable manner. The officers of the court of course...

This place can be quite scary and intimidating when you on the wrong side of the law so watch your step. This is also a beautiful and historical building and can be very busy on Monday's after a weekend of crime and all other law related crime so be careful cause "Judge Judy" is not taking any drama from you... …

The surrounding street smells terribly of urine. Sad to see a judicial institution disrespected in this way and the police need to do something about the public urination in this area, its a disaster for tourists and unpleasant for all

Bathrooms were disgusting and had no lights or locks, very uncomfortable seeting, and very inneficiant. Was told to be there at nine and had to wait tgere the whole day. Also did not have any sort of disability access

  • Brady Carr

Very unorganized. When the lady came out to put up names. No indication of any sort was given. No communication is giving to the waiting audience.

Online Mediation was done successfully for matters in Cape-Town Magistrates court. We are affordable to assist those in need.

I know they do their best here. But hand soap not available at the bathroom is somehow cynical. No sanitation either.

  • Ludi Smit

Today I unfortunately couldn't get helped but was directed to the right place thanks to the state prosecuter.
