This place is in serious need of help !! We went there as a table of 5 for a 630 reservation. My wife and I arrived early and there was a table of 8 ready for us directly by the bar inside . While we waited for the rest of our party to arrive we had to endure a few obnoxious patrons sitting at the bar , making it already uncomfortable. We ordered drinks and my wife had a Long Island Ice Tea . It came in a short stubby glass with no garnish , no ice , not even a straw !!! Very poor bartending abilities! When our birthday girl arrived she was told there was no reservation for her by 3 different people , fortunately she persisted and they figured it out and seated her with us. After that the evening progressively got worse. We asked to be moved to the patio outside which they did accommodate.I am all about atmosphere but I felt like I was sitting in a slum bar on Main Street . The people seating us as we were walking outside seemed upset with us that we wanted to move but control your music levels and obnoxious bar patrons!!!!! Not one Mexican thing about this place !!! Now we order the food !! We ordered nachos with pulled pork with pineapple and bacon . When they arrived there was a chunk of meat in the middle and no pineapple.and shattered chips. When we complained ,the owner said they were normal ….How is that normal??!!! Needless to say we sent them back and when they came out they had placed the cold pineapple chunks out of the can on top of the nachos !! Absolutely disgusting and still being told by the owner it was normal !! The other order of nachos were even worse !! Broken chips that I attempted to eat with a fork and a thick layer of canned refried beans slapped on top with raw jalapeños!!??That was not jalapeño jack cheese on the nachos , it was mozzarella with raw jalapeños on top !! Neither the birthday girl or my wife ate any of it as it was just not visually appealing nor was there any effort at all putting the food together but seems typical in many of these so called great places to eat here is in Winnipeg. How is it you can call those nachos ?? Every chip looked like it was crushed while putting them on the plate . The chicken wings looked like they were just tossed in an oven or fryer no seasoning nothing and just a bunch of gross cold sauce on luke warm wings. The owner tried to make it right but instead kept making it worse by saying this was normal , but if you can’t eat it that’s not normal!!!!! I almost felt sorry for him as what an embarrassment to try and defend that kind of culinary disgust on a plate and justify it as normal or Mexican . As a professional Red Seal Chef of more than 25 years I can say it was disgusting and disappointing and will not be back unless it’s to give the place a much needed rebirth. Not at all sure what the hype of this place was and if it was good at one time it definitely is not anymore. Worst meal /worst experience in Winnipeg ever ! Comping meals and drinks should never happen , it’s flushing money down the toilet and I suspect it’s a regular thing judging from the many other poor reviews.

Our food was ok… the spicy beef enchilada tasted good, but weren’t remotely spicy. Good sized portion, so value for money is there. The guacamole we ordered as a starter was insanely salty. Not sure if that’s just how they make it, but we left a LOT behind. I’d have taken the remainder home but it was barely edible. (Yes, it could have been sent back, but our server was barely present). Again, massive portion, I’d love to try it again, assuming the amount of salt was reduced to a tenth (I actually use a decent amount of salt in my own cooking, so this was not just a personal intolerance to salt, it was overpowering). The biggest disappointment was our server. She wasn’t unpleasant, but very monotone and robotic, and the only time she even attempted to chat was when she brought our bills. I had even tried to engage with her a bit earlier but was met with crickets so I gave up. She didn’t punch our guac and chips in as a starter like we had requested, so it came out with our meals, forgot to bring our waters, and when I reminded her 20 minutes later you could tell she had zero recollection of being asked. Honestly, it didn’t seem busy at all, but maybe she was short handed(?).

Had the Brisket Tacos, might be some of the worst tacos I've ever had. The tortilla was a cold, flavourless, and an unappetizing vessel to what I can only describe as an affront to God, Man and all things Holy. The brisket was bland, horribly under seasoned, and so dry it felt like I was chewing on a stack of cardboard. The pre-shredded lettuce was weirdly slimy, like it had been pulled sopping wet out of a sink. There was no Pico de Gallo, instead opting for large, awkward chunks of tomato and a shredded cheese that was reminiscent of the handfuls you drunkenly eat at 3AM when you stumble home from hopefully anywhere but here. Our server however was wonderful, attentive and accurate. The beer selections were decent, although I was a little disappointed there was only one local beer on draught. Because the beer was good and our server was great I'll give two stars, but good lord the food was horrid, if you're coming here just stick with nachos to be safe. Though lord knows if they've found some way to mess those up too.

The one star is for the great service. Almost inedible food. We've been coming here for years and I probably gave a good review in days past. I went with my wife. Both our plates were pretty much burned. The rice and beans were dried right out lol. She had the enchiladas with 'beef onion'. The beef tasted like it was boiled in water, with zero seasoning and I had the enchiladas with ground beef, which had so much cummin it tasted like an ash tray. Every thing on the plate was also torched. I was wondering why the waitress said the plate was extremely hot lol. No fresh cilantro or lime. No hot sauce. If you look at my past reviews I'm usually positive or constructive but in this case, it was just horrible food. The worst I've ever had in a restaurant. My wife said 'oh...this is definitely not the same chef.' I know it's post pandemic but this is tex mex...it can be done fresh everyday, I owned a tex mex restaurant. On a positive, we loved our server. I think she was sad that we really didn't eat .

  • holly olesen

Very disappointed! I've heard so many great things about this restaurant and I can't say I'd be back. The server was good and got our food quick but that's the only positives here. I had a Ceasar and I would have to say that was the smallest Ceasar I have ever had at a restaurant. We had enchiladas with beef and onions. The beef was very blah. Extremely bland. I think it was beef sliced off a roast. The beans were refried beans out of a can and dried out. We also had the shrimp tacos. As soon as I saw them I was already disappointed. Being a Mexican restaurant you would think they would be authentic corn flour tortillas. Nope straight out of a package. No lime no cilantro. The music was absolutely terrible. I guess if you were at a rave it would be OK. If there had been Mexican music playing I would have given 2 stars. We love cooking Mexican and figured let's go out for a date but should have saved ourselves the $60. No Mexican feel at all here. You want Mexican I suggest going to Sargent tacos.

Bring back the former owners please!!! This place used to be a gem and now it’s a sad shell of what it was. We have been back 3 times since the new owners took over, telling ourselves this is the last chance to sway us. I can tell you this was our last time. The food has gone down in quality and taste. My taco salad came with brown guacamole, the chicken was little bits of rocks from being that dry. The bowl which used to be crispy and the best part of it, came stale to the point there was no crisp. My partners nachos came with cheese that looked like it sat under a heat lamp for a half an hour, where previously it was oooey, gooey. The chicken once again was horribly dry and the portions have decreased as well while the prices have increased. Overall really disappointing. We will not be back. Might be the place if you want to come for after work drinks but save you money and eat elsewhere.

This is the go to place for Mexican food It's not the same as it used to be years ago Food is good but not great Nachos they were lacking with the beef, not much beef put on them. The decor hasn't changed in 40 years. My complaint is the noise. If you looking for a quiet relaxing place to chat with friends, family this is not it They really gotta bring the sound down people chatting in the bar etc It's EXTREMELY LOUD. Since the decor hasn't changed in 40/50 years why not do a few booths with partitions. You GOTTA bring the noise down a notch or two or three. Was there on a Wednesday the ladies behind us literally shouting Even the restaurant part is loud. Food is good but not the portions they used to do and it's crazy loud. I suggest something on the floors , ceiling, walls , Booths? Something to make it a bit quieter so people can chat at a normal level. Very hard to relax and have a normal conversation there.

We went for drinks on Monday after work around 6pm. They have happy hour till 7pm everyday so we got cheap drinks for our first one for the night. There were 3 girls including me and one of us was a vegetarian. We shared Carlos nachos with guacamole, cheese crisp (tortilla pizza) and the strawberry dessert. Their portion is huge in general so we needed to carefully pick menu to be able to have a sweets in the end. But what we didn't know was how massive the dessert could be... It's flat doughnut like deep fried dough with glazed strawberry, vanilla icecream and whipping cream. Compare the size with my friends' hands in the pic!! I don't recall the name but there is only one with strawberry. Everything tasted good and reasonable price, especially with happy hour, and we definitely satisfied with their portion. We will for sure come back!!

Came out to celebrate with family, and it was taco/margarita week. Made a reservation for 12 people and we were giving three round high tables, which some people didn’t even have a proper space to put their food. We all tried to order margaritas but they were out of lime mix so they couldn’t make any margaritas or Long Island Iced Tea, we had beer which was warm. Food was good, they didn’t have the beef for the chimichangas so had to have chicken. Our waitress was trying hard, especially with all the missing menu items, service was slow because there wasn’t enough staff. As you can see we were a large group and rang up a large bill, it was very disappointing to say the least. Don’t think we’ll be back again. Our money will be spend better elsewhere.

For 20 years, Carlos and Murphy’s was the best place in the city to get phenomenal Mexican food - especially their nachos. However, the quality of the food has tanked, and although we keep trying again in hopes it’s just a poor kitchen staff, we have consistently left so disappointed that we wasted our time and money each time. The nachos tend to have more onions and cold melted cheese than chips; the once popular cheese queso has been changed to what tastes like sour cream mixed with refrained beans, and the gold wings had a fishy taste and were drenched in sauce. There is absolutely no parking available anymore. Never going back after the last experience.

Honestly this place smelt funky walking in, I was confused of the lay out and I wasn’t even seated by any employee. The food was a 1.5/10. Was disappointed with my meal and wouldn’t go back anytime soon!! It was pricey for just a few things especially for a single. I didn’t even finish my meal, I still had sooo much to eat but I was confused on where to even start cause it was so messy n sloppy. It was even soaky from the juices in the meal n tasted real off. The food taste like it was heated in a microwave. The rice taste like those rice 2 minute bags, you could just tell.

Being first nations here, this evening,September 21, 2023, was not good. Do you have a policy of not serving native folks? I was here with 2 friends and we were asked our order but not served for over 12 minutes. We gladly gave our money to a different establishment after we left, but is this policy? The dark haired server all in black was our "server." Being in the industry myself I understood her body language to be ignorant and not attentive to our needs as paying customers. It was either we were native or queer...is this a problem for staff fo serve queer first nations folk at carlos and Murphys, home of winnipegs best Mexican food!

It was okay. I ordered Carlos Shrimp and Carlos wings. Wings were good but nothing special. Shrimp were slightly disappointing. They had a nice batter but we're basically just soaking Frank's hot sauce. I like Frank's don't get me wrong, but as an addition to a meal, not the only flavour. The nachos were okay but (this going to sound weird) there was too much cheese. There was like a mound in the middle that made the nachos super greasy and not enough chips. I don't know, I could just be being picky but my dinner mates agreed. The dessert was really good and was a huge portion. Staff were friendly and fairly attentive. Overall, probably would look somewhere else before coming back.

  • Tannis Robinson

Terrible! The service was lazy - servers chatting and standing standing at the bar as they forgot our food. The food itself was pathetic! If you are looking for Mexican food with an smidgen of flavour anything you make at home will have more of it. Don’t waste your time and money. I used to love this place and their food is now obviously just out of bags and containers - spicy is not a concept let alone flavour. Sad to see an Osborn staple go down hill - even with the many shut downs because of the lack of cleanliness it used to be so much better.

I have been a customer for more than 10 years. I always get the carlos crisp and love the salsa. Sadly, the last few times ordering the quality has not been the same. Today, I received my crisp with the sour cream spilled over three pieces that was very thick and could barely be pulled out of the box. The picture shows the pieces after scraping off a ton of the sour cream. Then the salsa I received pretty much only consisted of jalapeños with barely any salsa. Not a very enjoyable dinner and am very disappointed.

As an ambulatory wheelchair user, I found the building reasonably accessible. Easier access to dining room than to bar area. No accessible washroom, it's quite cramped. Staff were as accommodating as possible.

went here a little while ago and wasn’t very satisfied so wanted to give it another try, we ordered the brisket enchiladas and they were horrible, rice was literally rock hard definitely left out for too long, refried beans were the same literally just crumbled neither were really edible, the actual enchiladas were okay but very, very dry. gold wings were over cooked and chewy, beer cheese sopa was the only good thing we got. very disappointed will not be back

We have been coming here for 28 years. It was our first date and made it an annual tradition. This year will be our last. It has stunk the same this entire time. The rug needs to be burned and replaced. The kitchen absolutely does NOT pass any code and someone is surely looking the other way during inspections!!! The prices have gone up and food quality has gone down. We had to ask for salsa! In a Mexican restaurant??!! It's pretty bad when you pray for outdoor seating because it smells too bad to sit inside

Carlos & Murphy’s is great. I have been here tons of times. And, it’s almost always for drinks, nachos and wings. Their wings are amazing especially with the Carlos Gold sauce. Nachos are pretty good too and they have some unique variations such as pulled pork, bacon and pineapple, if that’s your thing. I have occasionally come here for dinner and it’s been alright, but the snack food/drinks are the main full. The interior has charm and the patio is a great place to hang out in the warmer months. Great happy hour too so it’s appealing to drop by after work to meet up with friends!

  • C Henderson

Ordered wings and drinks during happy hour which my partner and I enjoyed. No complaints. Until we paid the bill and discovered that the waitress (Meaghan) had charged us for a different drink that cost 50 cents more than the ones we ordered. Sleazy, unprofessional tactics at getting the business more profits. Despite an 18l% tip too. Smh Check your bills before you pay and watch out for Meaghan who will overcharge you.

The service was excellent, the wings were okay (nothing special), the salsa was disgusting (tomato paste with chopped jalapeños and onions), the spicy ground beef enchiladas and chicken chimichangas were edible but so completely underwhelming. The rice and refried beans were dry and tasteless, and the sauce on the enchiladas was a thin brown gravy with a bit of heat. There was barely any cheese on either the enchiladas and chimichanga. It was a total waste of $80.

Ordered drinks , sangria great , margarita the smallest I’ve seen and very salty, the guacamole which was very good and great size , definitely shareable, then chimichanga and enchiladas , both dishes had been sitting under the heat lamp way to long and had a film over them the rice was cold and a clump , the taste wasn’t great. I’ve had wings here before and they were good . Very hot in there tonight also , no a/c?

Is this Winnipeg’s oldest Mexican restaurant? Quite possibly. A fixture in Osborne Village since the days when the sidewalks were crowded with hippies and the air smelt of patchouli and the unwashed. The food continues not to disappoint and the beer is cold. The margaritas are in the small size (but maybe all the big glasses were dirty that night). Sort of handicap accessible but there will be some challenges. I have just been told it only opened in the mid eighties but my memories of the village have always included Carlos & Murphy’s

  • K. Whittaker

The food was meh, the wings were really small and over seasoned. The Quesadilla had little flavor and very little toppings. Our server was hardly around. This all said, I know that Carlos and Muphys can have great food and service. Maybe they were short staffed, I am not sure. But, do give their food a go, I hope that your experience will be different from mine.

Ditto as to what Everett Sass experienced, but our server was good. Nachos with brisket (several chunks of fat) was pretty disappointing, a small portion for the price. Very skimpy on the meat in the quesadilla and tacos. The Burritos with ground beef were massive but the gravy flavoured sauce seemed weird. Overall not good value for the $50/person incl drinks and tip. Server was very pleasant and attentive with the drinks so 2/2 stars for her

Finally decided to go check it out since I was told to try it out when I was in Osborne. Well it was not even worth it at all. The food was just disgusting. The quac' was so dark brown, and tasted sour. The wings were so dry and tasted reheated. You can tell they were not fresh.

Ask for their salsa. It's fabulous! They make it fresh everyday. Apparently no two batches are exactly the same, so said our server. I took my aunt there for her 80th Birthday. She's vegetarian and I have issues with many foods due to an autoimmune disease. We found dishes that pleased both our palates. Everything was fresh & delicious. I just got back from a month on the west coast of Mexico and I found the quesadilla better at Carlos & Murphy's. The salsa really pushed it to first place.

  • Lauren Baird

If you want to spend way too much money on food that isn't edible, go here! Would give zero stars if possible. I have NEVER had a disappointing experience at a restaurant like the one I had here. The tacos were DISGUSTING. Who puts cocktail sauce in a shrimp taco?! I wish I had taken a picture of the plate, it looked like a 13yr old threw together the food. If you want quality Mexican food that you can actually eat and enjoy, just go to Burrito del Rio up the street. Don't waste your time here.

  • Jacquelyn Doerksen

It was so so, First off we waited quite awhile at front entrance ( no line up) to be greeted. Had to go to bar to get someone attention. I ordered tacos (spicy beef option.) Waitress recommend it. I originally was leaning towards Chicken Almond Quesadilla. I wouldn't order tacos again. Andy ordered chili , I asked him on a scale of 1-10 , he rated 3-4 . Prices were reasonable. Waitress was friendly , professional and eager to please. Ambiance was great. We possibly will go back

  • Jordyn Ramiscal

By far the worst restaurant in osborne. Terrible and I mean TERRIBLE customer service. Got seated to eat and ordered a simple taco combo…. 50 minutes later and still no food. Asked the server how long 45 minutes in and she said “it will be 5 minutes ish”, another 30 goes by and still no food. Very poor and non professional service at this place, I highly suggest eat anywhere else then this place, I don’t know how it’s still open and running. GARBAGE so called restaurant.

  • Cwalls1844 Wallace

The chimichanga was awful w a soggy, wet and not fried tortilla. 3 of us had watery margaritas. The management seemed "overwhelmed" shall we say. Even the fajitas had dried out beef, and was cold. The waitresses seemed really inexperienced as you had to ask for everything, such napkins, water and all the basics. Only 2 people out of 9 of us enjoyed their food enough to finish it. Pretty much guacamole and chips/salsa the only edible parts of the meals. Absolutely awful.

  • Soren Danielson

I ordered wings here, not even the suicide ones, and the there was more sauce then wing. It was like eating tomato sauce, buffalo sauce and vinegar. The next morning I woke up with food poisoning and had to miss a shift because of how sick they made me. To this day I cannot eat a wing without getting the taste of stomach acid in my mouth. They have ruined wings for me, do not go here.

I love coming here! They are always willing to accommodate my diet and suggest alternatives. I do wish that there were more vegan options here, more than just omitting ingredients from the menu items. Beyond meat ground would go great in some of these dishes and vegan cheese is so easy to find so hopefully that's on the way for the future! Our server, Cam, was so great, very patient, polite, anticipated our needs and made a tough job look easy! Thanks Cam!

A nice little tex-mex place in the heart of Osborne Village. It's been around for as long as I can remember. A great place to meet friends, have cold beer and an assortment of Tex-mex food. Great nachos here, and the happy hour prices are fantastic. Service and food have been very consistent over the decades I've visited. It has a no nonsense lounge, a restaurant area and a patio, on street level. Fun ambiance. You guys will always have my business!

  • Jessie Philion

Disrespectful customer service called in for take out asked a simple question got laughed at got asked if I knew where the place was located also asked if they had a certain item on the menu and the guy laughed and said I worked here for 12 years and never saw that on the menu. Then why would the menus be online showing that item. Won't be going there again even half the time their food isn't cooked well, service wasn't great for how small it is.

Food is really greasey, not spicy at all for Mexican, seems to be more of a drinking place/bar, but if you don't drink no point to eat here. Service was so so.

Pretty disgusting experience. Poor service to start with, chicken wings just tossed in cheap spicy sauce and that's the best part of the meal. The rest was horrible. The list is too long but we stopped eating because we got nausea (for sure nothing is fresh or made frim scratch) and the smell of the meat just cut our appetite. Taco bell is a gourmet place in comparison. I would recommend though... if you like a good diarrhea.

Had a late late lunch here yesterday. Sad that they don’t open until 3:30. Would go there for lunch all the time. Short walk from work. Awesome food if you love Mexican. The place could use a deep clean inside. It’s a very old looking restaurant. Prices are pretty decent. I think this might be the closest to authentic Mexican cuisine in the city. I recommend you try it!

excellent margaritas! wings tacos burritos, hands down best mexican joint in Winnipeg. they have a nice patio an great atmosphere inside. TV screens for sports that are big enough but not intrusive. located in the heart of Osborne Village. I had the steak chimichangas a month ago an was thoroughly impressed by the large chunks of meat as the quantity of the 3 sides of salsa, guac an sour cream! overall highly recommend

This Mexican restaurant is a Must eat place in this city. My friends and I went there trusting the public reviews and we were very happy with the service, portions and great Mexican flavours (Especially the beans on the burritos). Portions are big but you’ll want to finish everything. Staff are cool and wait time was around 30 mins as it’s a busy restaurant. I would go back in future. Thank you for making my day :-)

Went for supper and happy hour. Service was impeccable. We were served by the owner, a genuine guy and so nice. Served quickly, and the food was so good. I don’t like beans, and I loved the refried beans. You should go

Awful service had to wait to be seated. Both servers were confused so we had to wait about 15 minutes or so then we finally got seated outside. Gave our order requested dip and salsa 3 TIMES. Never got it. When we did get our order it was incorrect. Then told the manager and she proceeded to argue back which wasn't appreciated. Do not recommend

The atmosphere is okay, the service was alright... But the food was the blandest "Mexican" cuisine I've ever had. I didn't have super high expectations but I expected a bit of flavour. Asked for hot sauce and got Frank's so that was a funny touch. Gave it a 3 because it was still a good time but I don't think I'll ever eat here again. Food was not good, unless you really don't like a bit of spice.

  • Edward Maione

Disappointing, lousey food,( defiantly not authentic mexican ) beef on nachos was verry dry, refried beans was so dried out it was almost like powder, shrimp was soggy and soaked in what seems like just franks hot sauce, presentation was terrible, food smashed on plate just looked like big mess! Expensive-way overpriced !! Customer service was poor !

The food has really changed over the past 3 years. No flavor in the food, brisket was very dry, rice and beans was dry and flavorless. I was disappointed there was 6 of us and no one enjoyed their meal. When I was there 3 years ago it was delicious. Plus no AC

Went for a couple bevies on the patio and it was almost perfect...very still because the breeze doesn't seem to get there. A couple of fans would be great. Our server was fantastic, very friendly and attentive. I have to say, I probably wouldn't want to eat inside, it smells very muggy. Maybe there was flooding issues this spring that they haven't been able to completely sort out yet....?

It makes me sad. It’s been me and my m8’s go to for better than a decade and a half. The quality of food preparation has gone down and the beers on tap are no longer the ones I enjoy. New ownership should have stayed with the old formula. If it ain’t broke…

Good little spot to stop in the Osborne district. This district is cool but there are a few empty buildings. There are however some cool spots to eat. The patio at C&M’s is nice and shaded, serving staff were sweet. Wasn’t overly impressed with the menu and the diversity of the fare, but it hit the spot and was made well. Have a half-order of the Queso dip with whatever you order!

  • Lina V Garzon

The service was great. No complains there. But the food unfortunately was not. The Mexican idea was there but the flavours were completely off. The refried beans looked like dry minced beef and was tasteless. The taco shell on the salad tastes like pure oil. Ill spare the details on the rest but it just kept getting worse. Truly disappointed. Gave two stars just for the service.

  • Oubay Chebib

Atmosphere was great The staff was phenomenal The food was definitely good value. If I have one complaint it would be that the french fries I believe the oil needs to be changed or they just weren't up to snuff maybe they could do something about that. Otherwise everyone thoroughly enjoyed their evening and we were taking very well care of I commend the staff and the management

  • ilovelovepanda

Carlos Nachos and Gold wings are always ordered by me! Nachos are amazing and the food is very consistent. We have been going here for 25 years - and have never been disappointed. Great place to go after a movie date. Opened late and yummy sharing food. The atmosphere and the food keeps us coming back and now we are introducing the next generation to this little gem.

  • Artyom Kim

Delicious food, cool place with wooden interior, cozy atmosphere, good music that is not too loud to be able to talk to your date, or friends. The only complaints were that the cocktail sizes were small and weak (barely felt the alcohol) and the food not meeting the expected spices punch but delicious nonetheless.

Great food, great service and great patio!! I went here recently with some old friends for a girls night! We really enjoyed the selection of entrees and happy hour drinks. Our server was great! She went very informative about food and drink choices and when I didn’t like the fries she gave me a substitute no questions asked. The HUGE dessert was the boom!!

  • Nikki Jamieson

Our wait staff was amazingly friendly. They quesadilla was slightly over grilled but the made sure that if i was not satisfied they would be happy to remake in just a few minutes. It was delicious and i was not worried about a little crunch. And the mudd pie... Yyuuuummmmm highly recommend a visit!

I had a three strikes experience here. 1. Appetizer came just after our main course 2. My tacos were loaded with tomato after I asked for them not to be there and all 3 tacos fell apart completely before I had a single bite. 3. I had to ask the waitress for my second drink I'll try again sometime, but my experience tonight was pretty lackluster.

  • Steph M

Waitress was very nice, but the food was just terrible. Beans and meat had a funny taste to it, and was just not good to any capacity. The music was also very distracting, loud, and did not fit the vibe of a Mexican restaurant. The wings were also underwhelming. Overall, just would not go back again and recommend others save their money too.

Haven't eaten inside the restaurant in a while but have been placing fairly consistent pickup orders of chips and salsa. They've gotta do better with their portions, because a half full container if salsa for $5 is a rip off. Gave an extra star because Sunday night wing night is a good deal, and their gold sauce is pretty decent.

Great place! Love their wing specials. Not the biggest wings, but I'm a big fan of lemon pepper seasoning so you can't go wrong. I also tried the pulled pork tacos. Delicious! I got their Murphy sauce on the side to add into the tacos and was amazing! Happy hour prices make it a great place to go with friends before a show.

They have a good location and decent beer list. Maybe if you're already drinking you won't notice how lame the food is. (A mostly-vegetarian dining companion whose diet is 50% soylent thought it was really good - make of that what you will.) Cocktails aren't great, and their sangria tastes like vinaigrette.

  • Jeff L

Good place to go if your having a drink with friends on patio. The food is mediocre and the drinks are cheap. The place is in need of a renovation, a fresh layer of paint, upgrade the washrooms, and change the carpet. The carpet smelt awful and would not be appetizing eating on that side of the restaurant.

  • Joseph MacKinnon

I used to live in the village 15 years ago and loved going here. Went for dinner in 2022 and the experience was terrible. Cold food, wrong food, bland food and fruit flies all over the lettuce on one person's tacos. I was warned my plate was hot but I could visually see the enchilada sauce was congealed.

  • Deb Chartier

Used to be a favorite but we can now understand why they're dead on a Saturday night. Waited over 45 min only to get our orders wrong, and cold!!! Rice was uncooked, beans were barely warmed and nachos looked like they had been microwaved. Barely an apology from the staff. Will NOT be going back!

  • Randys Reviews

Came here for a couple of beers and some wings. The flavors of the wings were all good and we enjoyed their drink specials too. The atmosphere was nice. Pretty laid back and casual. We also tried the quesadilla. Not the greatest presentation but it was surprisingly flavorful. Would go back again.

We stopped in tonight while out for a walk. Hadn't been in a few years. Had the Oxaca Nachos with spicy ground beef and a white sangria. Both the best I've had at any restaurant for a long time...and I'm a huge nacho lover. Clean, good prices, great staff. We will be back for sure.

The "Ben's Back Home" Le Burger Week fare was not the strongest entry considering how good the regular C & M menu normally is. Great restaurant, great service, just need to do a better job on this burger next year!

Took forever to get our food, and it was all cold. All the food seemed like it was reheated scraps. I feel lucky to not have gotten food poisoning. The Carlos wing sauce was good - but it might just be Frank's...

  • Delmar Penner

Fairly happy with the experience! Unique. Would recommend. The food was HOT! Took a bit to find the entrance. It's not off the main st there. It's a little side alley from the south side of the building.
