Went there on 22 May 2023, as a walk-in. I was informed that you can request a stylist (which will be a bit extra) or a general worker. Due to this being my first time I opted for a general worker to do a wash, blow and straighten. They charged me R300 and my lenght was half back. Stacey Arries assisted me and she was eally friendly. She everything, from wash, massage, to blow and straighten. During the blow she asked if I wanted something to drink (they have coffee and water). Not sure if it was just her but she didn't bring a mirror for me to check what the hair looks like at the back. Instead she placed my hair to the front. This is an affordable place but you get what you pay for. I'm happy that they were able to assist me.

The best hair salon in Cape Town in my opinion. The atmosphere is bright and relaxing and the staff are all lovely. You feel like a VIP when you're there. Highly recommend Leighton! Honestly best hair specialist I've ever had. I recently moved to Ireland and I come back to SA to get my hair done.

Staff are cordial, professional but not intrusive. My 8-year old daughter, who is extremely sensitive when it comes to her hair being detangled, loved the service and felt right at home. While it is my go-to, my daughter is keen to visit the establishment again! Thank you Carlton! …

Had a booking with 1 stylist who didn't pitch, salon coordinator Jade called to cancel and advise accordingly. Immediately called back with another opening later that day. Stars aligned as I had an amazing experience with Senior stylist Kazi. Everyone very professional and pleasant.

Carlton is always a pleasure to come to for my hair. The staff are absolutely incredible and welcoming, leaving no stone unturned. In particular, Leyton and Kazi were phenomenal during my appointment today. No criticism whatsoever!

Do not go to this place if you have black afro hair that you want cut and styled. They do not know what they are doing with this type of hair.
