I scheduled a men's hair cut with Bonnie earlier this evening. While the style of the cut wasn't exactly what I meant in our conversation prior to starting (I showed a picture and just asked for the sides to be a little more parallel than in the photo), it could have been a bit of miscommunication on my part. Beyond that - the cut was aggressive. As in, my ear was raked repeatedly by combs as she tried to pull my hair down (it's really straight hair already- I've never had that happen before). Then the thinning shears came out, which must have been DULL because it's been years since I've had that much tugging happen while a stylist thinned me up. In general, the cut isn't what I came for, the cut was borderline painful, and she had to ask the owner, Carter, to come salvage what he could (which, even after she repeated she would start long so it could be cleaned up if we wanted, he wasn't able to do much with because of how short she had already taken it). I could see Carter giving a better cut if he'd been the one who started it, but I'm not going back to find out.

Very upset with a bait and switch that occurred at Carter Vu. After purchasing the Groupon for up to $69 of haircut/blowdry services, I was told in store that I would have an extra $25 charge because my hair was "long" (hair was at armpit length). The stylist was hard to understand (foreign) and I thought she said $5, and repeated back "$5? For what?" "Oh, because hair is long, extra charge is on our website". I agreed to the silly $5, she cut it, and at check out charged my card for $25. Remember, I had a Groupon covering up to $69 of haircut/blowdry expenses. After leaving the salon, I checked the website and found no such extra $25 fee, in fact the highest price a haircut can be is $69. When calling to ask for a refund, I was hung up on by the manager. I am currently disputing this terrible customer service via my credit card. WILL NOT RETURN; SHADY SERVICE; DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I am very pleased every time I cut my hair at Carter Vu Salon. Professional working environment. Confident communication is attractive and very impressive to customers. What helps a customer’s first impression about the service are the prevalent smiles and the ability to satisfy. It creates harmony and initiates trust. I felt quite comfortable when staying at a local hotel, where I was introduced to Carter Vu Salon for a haircut by the hotel receptionist.

I have been going to Carter Vu for many years, and I am always so happy with the services. He is very efficient and great at what he does - he has a very strong skill set that he's constantly building upon and studying everything new in the hair industry. I know that I will leave his salon with my hair looking great and without waiting around - he is the most efficient hair stylist I've ever met! I highly recommend him and his salon!

She had mentioned he’s a color genius (whereas i just needed a cut), but i felt certain if her was amazing at color, he could handle a cut. He did a fantastic job with my drab thin hair and the blowout after was perfection. I haven’t felt this good about my hair in awhile. So glad i found Carter.

Alejandra is an excellent stylist! Also Carter Vu Salon has excellent customer service. She initially asked me about what I do to my hair and took that into consideration. Since I have a lot of hair, she also texturized it correctly :) and added long layers. Thanks for the shampooing and the beautiful haircut! I would most definitely recommend Carter Vu Salon to any newcomer.

I'll be the first one to admit that I'm not an easy person to impress - but had my hair done at Carter Vu for the first time and I saw Gabriel - he was AMAZING! Not only is my haircut GORGEOUS (and easy for me to do everyday) but Gabriel was awesome too - personable and funny. The experience was a complete pleasure and I will definitely be back and will send my friends too!!

Carter has been doing my hair for 10 years, and the few times I had to schedule at another salon somebody has always noted, without me even mentioning that I had gotten a cut, that it didn't look as good as usual. I think I've gotten him some new lifelong clients when I tell them! Who knew it was supposed to look this good?

Carter Vu is The Blonde Specialist in Buckhead! He is very knowledgeable at color and it shows. He will give you great advice on your hair and style and also make you feel beautiful while in his chair. He’s great at his profession and it shows! You will also leave his salon with some great laughs and funny stories.

Absolutely love this salon and Alejandra has been doing my hair so great for years! She’s the absolute best and very professional/friendly. I love my hair after every time I visit. Very highly recommend! I’ve gotten several of my friends to start going to visit her and they all love her also.

Carter gives me great cuts and keeps me laughing the whole time I'm in his chair. What more could you want? His cuts have staying power, too. They grow out well. He also manages to give me a look that is appropriate for a working mom but is not too soccer-mom-ish. Love the Vu 'do.

Damaged my hair. I specifically said no color on old growth, yet he did it anyways and my hair has fallen out and is fried! When I asked Carter about the product he used, he told me to go to someone else. Extremely dissatisfied. Now I need to repair and regrow my hair. :( .

Carter is literally the best hair dresser I’ve ever had. He makes magic work on my rats nest called hair and i always walk out feeling like the best version of myself. Even better, he’s extremely interesting to talk to and super fun to be around. It’s like happy hour!

Had a fantastic experience. Lidia did a wonderful job on my hair. I had recently had to a salon in California. That bleached it out so much that it looked fake. Lidia added a toner and low lights and saved me. I will definitely go back.
