Always love a good Irish bar! If they could hire some quality DJs however, this place would be a hit! For a Saturday night the DJs were not playing anything that would draw in a crowd, nor was it anything you could actually dance to. Other than that I love this Irish Pub. Ambiance: 10/10 Dim but not dark, outside area gets dark after the sun sets, perfect date night or girls/guys night out. Had a really neat, rustic chalk board for the menu as well as a QR code available. There were two pool tables and I was elated to find out they were free! It wasn’t packed and no one was waiting for the table so we got to play a few rounds. I love that this place is down a flight of brick stairs and has a basement type feel. As soon as you walk down you’re greeted by a small but open dance floor to your right, and a ping pong table to your left. A few areas to sit outside, but mainly indoor seating. The bar was huge so it was great to have lots of seating options available were all the good stuff is at! Service: 8/10 Bartenders were friendly and polite, but honestly it didn’t seem like they knew how to handle a moderate sized crowd. Would hate to see how they handle a rush or have it be packed out. The part that got me the most was I ordered a third round of drinks and the bartender who was taking care of me was busy so another one came over and took my order. I gave her the name on the tab and walked back over to my table. On the way she chased me down and said that name wasn’t on file. It was kind of embarrassing the way she came after me and stated matter of factly that I gave her the wrong name. I politely asked her to recheck and gave her the full name again and come back if she’s still having issues. She left and never returned so maybe she misheard me the first time. We didn’t order food since we ate here and there along grand before stopping by and just grabbed a few drinks, so I have no food eating. But I can say the bar appears fully stocked and they had a few wine options. I only wish they had more on tap options. We had a great time and if I’m ever in the area I would definitely love to come back here and try this place again.

This is an important message for Casey's Restaurant Downtown Los Angeles California location and to whomever receives this message to please forward this to the Owner Management Or Better of Casey's Restaurant in regards to during Happy Hour to keep all menu items under $20.00 per menu item and before/thereafter depending on no more than $30.00 per menu item thanks it is appreciated. Watching the pricing very closely and not just here. After a while now back to do an overview today Tuesday November 21st 2023 and told the employee to let the Owner etcetera know as have here previously and currently about the food quality overview of menu pricing the changes inside that were not so good including the heater on instead of air conditioning and or fan for the season etcetera. Was correct in saying checking what was knew that already realize it has went under new management since a while ago this year. Know that Casey's as well as other places that don't have a direct website and it email read the messages this way instead via review.

This place is garbage. It used to be my favorite pub in LA, but after today I'm never coming back. You HAVE to give them a credit card upfront and they don't ask about splitting or anything just immediately charge you. The food was awful, how do you mess up a salad?! The Shepard's pie was 100% mashed potatoes and NOTHING else. There was no meat or veggies. Portions were also pathetic for the price. They claim to have a craft beer menu....it's not. Like I can't say more I'm so angry about it. But while I'm talking about drinks let's discuss the expensive cocktails made with no alcohol, and taste like melted dirty ice. Or maybe the soda they served flat. So You might be wondering did we send anything back? Nope, because the waitress was nowhere to be found after taking our order and credit card. Don't come here.

Excellent service! Fun atmosphere! The bartender (we didn’t catch his name) was attentive and hilarious. We ordered the Guinness Stew (awesome), the Shepherds Pie (decent- tasted fresh and yummy, but obviously made in advance & reheated), and the house-pretzel. My biggest disappointment is that the pretzel obviously didn’t go through the pretzeling process, but is more appropriately a “pretzel-shaped yeast roll”. $6 for a yeast roll is s but steep. I would pay $6 for a legitimate house-made pretzel, as pretzels are more work and fresh pretzels are manna from heaven. Yeast rolls are easy to make, so I’m not impressed. I realize to the person who doesn’t love bread as much as I do, this sounds nit picky; but, it’s also misleading and sad for a bread-lover. Otherwise, this is an excellent stop and I would eat here again without hesitating.

My family and I were traveling from Atlanta, very tired and hungry and looking for dinner near the Millennium Biltmore. Almost every restaurant was closed. We stumbled across Kasey’s and although we were deterred by the long downward staircase, the smell of the food lured us in. My family members chose the beer battered fish & chips, the Reuben and the cheese burger. For myself, I figured if the food isn’t great, I can’t go wrong with chicken tender’s. Well….they were the most tender & juicy chicken tenders I’ve ever eaten! Was it because I was extremely hungry or were they really that good? I’d suggest you hop down those stairs and give Kasey’s a try! The staff there are ALL so very accommodating. FIVE STARS FROM ME!

This place has so much potential. The food is great and the prices are on point. I’m gona give it 4 stars. One more than I would give to encourage the owners to do something. The large screens outside and the very last room are amazing. Dog friendly place. Maybe they should assign every room to different team and do like some bars do...put some flags and stuff in every room. They are a bit short handed on Sundays. Maybe they need some help. I guarantee you we would’ve had more drinks if someone came to ask us. The 2 guys behind the bar in the morning are great but they get swamped. I hope this place moves to the better.

How this place can brand themselves as an Irish bar is an insult to any Irish person that enters. Ordered a pint of Guiness they don't serve a full pint either it's like 440ml and it tasted rank. Music was so loud the speaker above us was scratchy. Was quiet busy we waited 15 min for a server so we could pay our bill ended up going to the bar to pay it instead. Food claimed to have proper Irish chip/fries what we got were pre frozen fries and onion ring I mean come on have some respect for the brand if your gonna use it..

The female bartenders are the worst ones when it comes to who to serve first . They always go to the people with the suits first since they have to go for the ones who they think tip the best of course. It's ridiculous how shallow they are in my opinion. There are regulars that go there and I understand that you may recognize them as soon as they come in. But when it's only 4 freaking people in the Bar and already have drinks and myself and my co-worker are just there waiting for 5 min to be acknowledged is just Bulls***. Won't be going there any more. Hopefully it closes down like I've been hearing.

I found myself staying at the Biltmore with time on my hands so I wandered the streets a bit. Stumbled upon Casey’s, the gate was askew so I assumed open. Turns out I was a few minutes early, but I was welcomed in. Excellent pours of Guiness, and an absurd amount of Jameson. This is a classic Irish bar with a laidback atmosphere and all the trappings of a centuries old establishment. Enjoyed my time there so much, I went back the next 2 days of the trip. Thanks for hospitality. Prost!

I've tried to give this place a chance but each time I've gone in the same bartender waits on me and my friends and she seems like she's angry with the world. We try to overlook her attitude and overwhelm her with kindness, even leaving a great tip regardless of her rudeness, but nothing seems to work. She really is in the wrong line of work. Service industry is no place for someone who has a bad attitude. My friends and I have given her and Casey's all the chances we are willing to. It's too bad because the venue is kinda cool.

This bar is a solid spot with a college town feel and a whole lot of room for activities. I was here for St Patrick’s day and this was the perfect spot. This bar is bigger than I thought with a DJ area, pool tables & an outdoor area below ground floor. The crowd is a younger crowd but still a good spot to hang with friends or meet new people. I’d definitely come back here again to visit their restaurant or to stop by for an adult beverage.

Hmmmm, I'ma rooftop-bar-kinda person, but if you are into the dark, subterranean bars with a strong "5-10 years post college" crowd, this is the place to go. They know Guiness. They know whiskey. It has a "quarters" pool table and ping-pong. Imagine, people who can't give up their college days of beer pong, Jager shots and need an escape from adulthood. This place has that kind of vibe. A pub that is popular amongst sports fans. Enjoy, I'll be at the NoMad Hotel's rooftop bar. :)

One male bartender that’s usually there on Thursday around 5pm could use some lessons on manners and customer service. Made us feel like he was in the middle of figuring out which asteroid was heading towards our planet (bar was not busy) but we interrupted him. I take the blame for this. When he’s gone, I hope to visit again and maybe change to a 5 star review. Everyone else that works here, truly and honestly thank you for your hospitality!

This is a nice place with a fine selection of beers. One of their signature drinks is the pickleback. It is a shot of Irish whiskey with a homemade pickle juice chaser. I didn't think it would be good, but it works. I believe they at $6 at Happy Hour. I think they have $2 off beers during Happy Hour. I have to recommend the sweet potato fries. They are the best sweet potato fries I have ever had, I'm not even a big fan of sweet potato fries.

  • Randall Cook

This place felt very Irish. They pulled a good pint of Guinness, and their bangers and mash were good and hearty, though not spectacular. They have a great selection of songs on their juke box, which is perfect for setting the mood and stimulating conversation with friends. It was quiet in there when I went (a Tuesday night), but like a subway station, you get the feeling that it is usually heaving with people.

  • Phil Enzler

Pretty standard pub in downtown LA. Located on a sub-street level, they have an outdoor patio with about a dozen tables and an old ping pong table. Inside there is a long wooden bar and some high tops to rest your drink. Overall, they have good service and pour good drinks. They even have a fair selections of beer and bar food. Check em out to watch a game on their TVs or to unwind with friends after work.

  • Doris Leigh

We are here in downtown LA just overnight. After 14 hours on Amtrak we checked into the hotel. We searched for something quick and delicious to eat. We stumbled upon Casey’s Irish Pub. What a Gem. What a delight. Service was fast. The food was hot and delicious. The staff was very attentive. Don’t pass this one by. You will regret it. Thank you Casey’s.

  • A Tiger

Nice joint! My friends always meeting up here or going this way. I don't think I would ever say yay let's go to Casey's but I always have a great time when I'm there so my review is not to say that it's bad but more so neutral. Food and drinks are all good Services decent and people are nice. It's a dive but never unfriendly just not really my favorite.

  • Alec Rojas

An old favorite of the downtown drinking establishment. Walk down the stairs and to the bar and marvel at the size of this place right underneath the sidewalk. It's a big spot, certainly, and crowded. The food isn't anything special and there are no major deals at the bar. A nice place to meet people after work, but a tough place to end your night.

  • Day H

Great local pub in the middle of DTLA. Quiet nights happen, but things can also devolve pretty quickly, (in a good way). Their below street level patio is nice. But it really shines on St Paddy's Day. On that day, bring cash to avoid the ATM fees & buy multiple drinks at once or be prepared to get right back in line after you buy a drink. ☘️

  • Arthur Siegel

great local dive, big enough to accommodate the crowds of people that swarm the place on weekends but still cozy enough to have that Irish pub feel. reasonable prices and good selection of drinks. not only is the patio spacious (w/ ping pong table), but there’s a live music venue tucked in the back! equally fun for both chilling and raging.

  • Andréa Lerma

Came here for happy hour and had the best time! Lots of areas to socialize, the atmosphere was great - good music, pool tables, ping pong tables, and tasty drinks & food. Asia and Daniel were also AMAZING! They were hospitable, personable, and fun! Thanks Asia and Daniel, keep it up!

While traveling cross country we had a stop over in L.A.. We found Casey’s Irish Pub. We were all Leary of the stairs (retirees) but it SMELLED SO GOOD we ventured down. It was the BEST. I had the Reuben sandwich. Off the chain. The food and customer service was Excellent. I would definitely go again. Thanks to All the staff. From N.Y.

Ive been coming here for 9 years, and have never been disappointed. Their wings and burgers are amazing! They have a good selection of beer. If you're not into beer, the awesome bartenders will make you a mixed drink. They usually have live bands on the weekends as well. Pay for parking nearby, and come downstairs to Casey's!

  • KINGARTONDABEAT LIKEAHEARTBEAT

I stumbled upon this establishment while out on a DTLA adventure date day with my fiance. I must say that I am glad that we decided to go in because, not only was the service amazing, the menu was equally amazing. I will definitely be going back. I hope that you YOU do the same thing. Thanks Casey's Irish Pub!!! …

Nice little hidden spot if your looking for something to do in the downtown area. Very young crowd here and when it's prime time on weekend , expect to be rubbing elbows in this crowded space. They have a dance floor in the back and games in the front to entertain the inner kid in all of us . . . .with alcohol of course

  • Alex Cain

A good Irish pub. They have ping pong tables, which can sometimes be used for beer pong depending on the day or how crowded it is. It's a relatively older bar, but it definitely has its own set of characters. The bartenders are nice and helpful and you can't go wrong ordering your fries while drinking your Guinness.

  • James Milner

This place used to be quite nice, but it's been redesigned into a bar focused establishment over the past few years. If you are looking for a good sit down meal, look elsewhere. The booths are gone, now it's just some uncomfortable tall tables and chairs with no back. Food selection and service dropped off as well.

  • RJ

Great Irish bar with low prices and delicious food! Casey’s has a wonderful weekend happy hour. We ordered 4 of there appetizers, and each one was better than we expected for a divey Irish bar where you can smoke cigars. We loved both the regular wings and the boneless, but the boneless had way more meat!

  • Noah Valenzuela

Casey’s has a dark charm to it. Food was great, I recommend.... menu was small. & for good reason everything is good and high quality... surprising for a bar. Drinks are good, bartenders are friendly and love able & the games are fun. If you are looking for a lowkey fun time, then Casey’s is for you.

  • Barbara B

Worked here as a waitress in the mid-late 70's when it was called Casey's Bar and Grill. Had a blast! Professor David Bourne was on the piano back then. Glad to see it's one of those places that didn't close down... Sad to read these negative reviews. Back in the day this was a really nice place.

  • Matthew Fuller

Happy Hour is pretty good and runs all week. $5 beers if you get the right kind. $1.50 basket of fries. Rest of the food is pretty standard quality bar food, don't expect too much. There is supposedly live music and comedy some nights but I have only ever been to Trivia on Mondays which is fun.

  • Esther Shin

We went on a Saturday afternoon to watch a football game. Quite a bit of seating and lots of screens. Try to arrive at least half an hour before the game starts if you want a seat. Takes a while to order a drink, but that's fine with me. They have happy hour for food too if you want a bite.

  • O G

Have been there a couple times for packed sporting events and was surprised how well the staff managed to accommodate customers in a friendly manner under pressure. Bar is clean and they have cool games and clean restrooms. I wish they still had tvs in the outside area though.

  • Ashley Troub

I came here after a photoshoot got done quite early. The bartender laughed when we all ordered beers at 11am. The sliders I ordered were delicious. I loved the different trio I received. I think everyone left really happy. Would love to check this place out on a busy night.

  • Cindy C

Service was pretty bad, watered down drinks and soggy fried food. Apparently it changed ownership that’s why the ratings used to be so high. Would not come again, fast food chains can do it better than their food here.

One of my favorite places to stop by when in LA. I recommend for those who enjoy whiskey as they offer a very good selection and even have Rye and moonshine! Appetizers are good and fulling. Bar tenders are very friendly compared to some other bars in the area.
