Tonight I had a very negative experience at your store in Drumcondra. I approached the entrance doors at 23.45 as the working hours state midnight, therefore 15 minutes before closing time. One of your employees was standing at the doors and told me 'we are closing'. Since I showed no interest in changing my mind, he said ok you can come in but quick. He was repeating quick, and I stopped and told him it is 15 minutes before closing time, that I am a customer here every day literally and I will not be rushed or left out the door during working hours. As I was walking away inside the shop he mumbled I should be grateful that he let me in, in the first place. After I took the products I wanted to buy and returned to the cashier I asked him what did he say? There I had a verbal confrontation both with the man on the doors and the cashier who said, 'yes, he said you should be grateful we let you in at all and you should show some respect for the people working here'. The cashier started raising his voice and the other employee at the door started calming him down. This kind of behaviour is absolutely unacceptable. Not only did the man tried to send me of at the door, but he was rude and patronizing once I was in the store and his colleague joined him by raising his voice at me. Is this the way you treat your regular customers? Is this how your staff is trained to speek with the customers? Furthermore, are the working hours noted outside just for the craic and the staff can close when they prefer (and let in who they prefer), or they actually represent the working hours for customers? This is not the first time the same man at the entrance door was rude close to end of working hours, but I hope it is the last. I appreciate people there working long hours are tired and under stress, but that is something they should discuss with their management and absolutely does not give any justification for this kind of behaviour.

Deli staff needs proper training....They were wearing the mask underneath their nose so no point in wearing it at all...As well after cleaning the equipment or utensils any food handler MUST wash their hands and change their gloves( by the way it has to be blue gloves not see thru gloves and that is in case a small piece of glove is chopped to be seen by food handler and removed before consumed by your customers)....Wiping your hands with blue roll just doesn't do it....And the last bit is when you roll the baguette make sure that all the ingredients are inside the bread as when you open the paper everything is on me or on the floor....All I can say is see you never and really hope that nobody will get sick from your deli staff food practices...I wonder if any of them have got any food safety level 2 training required

edit: from 5 stars to 1 Why a 1 star review?... because I can't select no stars. Deli not open to half 8. Most of the Deli staff are nice as is the blonde girl who works there or the till. The rest are rude, always in the way. The place is designed with tight spaces and these spaces are full of unboxing cages. Floor is filthy, The light are never on. This makes the place seem terrible. No other centra is like this. This is Centra by name only. ----------------------------------------------------------- old review I've been using this shop on my way to work for a long time. In the past the staff were a bit vacant and rude, but in recent times they have been a lot friendlier and chatty(not all staff) and it is a much more pleasant experience. Prices are a bit high, bit the selection is good

The small fat baldy foreign staff member is just so rude I don't know how he has the job. Clearly hates kids and anyone that needs any help and it's just not acceptable. Screams at my nephew again I'll do more than write a review. Deli is only good when certain people are on. There is also someone that is almost always outside aggressive in his approach to asking for change and does be outside from early in the day to late at night and rarely have I seen Centra staff do anything about him making they're customers feel unsafe. Most of the staff are friendly and the shop itself is good so please fix these problems. Will stop using the shop soon if not. Keep asking to see the boss and getting fobbed off.

I would like to make a complain. I went to the Centra Store in Duncomdra (34 Drumcondra Rd Lower, Drumcondra, Dublin 9, D09 P8A0), where sell Frank Honest from the coffee machine and the cashier refuse to scan my frank honest coffee app and refuse to accept my free coffee that I had redeem in front of him. The cashier was very rude and start to shout at me until I pay the coffee. After I paid the coffee, he scan the coffee in his own frank honest account app. That is a scam! It's not fair. I used to work at centra and I know how the system works. He was definitely lying to me. I just sent the complain to my contacts at Frank Honest company and they will come over to talk for sure.

mostly pakies work there Indians, Pakistan, bangladesh, impossible to get job there for white people, unless you are a pakie you won't get a job there. otherwise friendly most of the time staff. sometime stare at you and prices are like any centra shop. owner of the shop shows up in the mornings doing nothing and reading newspapers. haven't got a clue what he even doing there when not doing anything lol, have some polish food, kefir, polish mlik, otherwise overall good shop well maintained. would be nice for them to offer something cheap like tesco does. cheers

One off the deil members absolutely hates her life working on the deil , got a chicken fillet roll asked for insides taken out they didn’t do that asked for fillings on me roll only gave me one, she’s throws rolls together all the time I absolutely hate going to her for a roll cause she doesn’t do it with care and gets cheeky with customers, absolutely appalling behaviour from her I honestly hope yous talk to your staff members in the deli cause it turns me off my roll before I event get it off her

Worst centra I've ever been in its dirty the shop is in bits wonder how the hse pass it coffee machine area also in bits hot water machine just about working 2 milk machines rusty and not working broken floor tiles and worst of all a grumpy old man I take it the owner sitting on a stool watching everything coming in and out rude staff please get your finger out and start upgrading your shop your a disgrace

I have just left the store (10.30am- 15/10/22) shocked on how a staff can be so rude! I've seen a staff at the till yelling to an elderly clearly distressed and embarrassed. Another client came to intervene and support the elderly. The staff didn't even apologized to the elderly. I felt so sorry for that poor gentleman. Still can't believe what I've seen! Your staff need training URGENTLY!

Asked for a chicken fillet roll. Surely the staple of any Centra deli. Barely got a scraping of butter. All the cheese was clumped on one side, she butchered the chicken while cutting it, then shoved it in the middle and asked if I wanted it cut in half. I ended up having to deconstruct and rebuild it on the train to make it more edible. Counter staff were friendly. Good selection of fruit

Next time, if somebody of your shop staff will check an Irish lottery ticket, would be nice to check a date of the draw also. This is your job, not the problem of a customer. Look in the bin where you will find a LOTTO ticket which won Euro 7 a week ago, on November 3. Small money, of course, but it matters. Best wishes! Thursday, November 8, 2018.

The women working at the deli is the most rudest unhelpfull person i have eever seen every time she gets the sandwich wrong and the worst part is that i think she does it on purpose i see a lot of people here complaining about her , onestly at this stage i think she should be fired anyway never coming back there would not recomend

Very rude and aggressive staff! A member of staff(short, Asian man) pushed a cage trolley at force straight into me and shouted "move, get out" while I was using the ATM. I have a bruise on my leg and swollen toes as a result. Manager (older Irish man) just turned a blind eye and did nothing when he saw this assault.

. Chipper next door has nice burgers but staff need training , or supervision, on hand hygiene. Huliana very rude and nasty. Shouting at customers and no gloves when handling food after handling money, dosing chips with salt after a suggestion to wear gloves. Thankfully she didn't handle the burgers.

Verey bad experience with evening staff..they wouldnt say hello first..would trow the groceries on the counter with such an anger as they give you shopping for free..the manager should take some training for them on how to treat customers!

I had a winning scratch card, I won 21 euro (6 at game 1 and 15 at game 2, independent games) they only gave me 15. Very rude when I asked why he gave me only 15. Probably he kept the 6 euros. Very unprofessional

One of the supposed ’managers’ is on a power trip who goes against what her other staff say, she is rude and doesn’t know how to handle problems. I would recommend avoiding this store and shopping elsewhere

Lovely shop with lovely staff, I go there every morning, everybody's very friendly from the till staff to the deli staff, escpecially Shallu and Nicole. You can find everything you need all in one place.

Couple of staff always on the phone on the till in the evening, no customer service in the shop at all. Bad review towards evening staffs, they should learn a a bit more about Customer service skills.

Self service machine will make this shop better. A new member of staff at the till(wearing glasses and has a messy hair) was giggling in customer face for wearing cross pendant... Very "professional"

Great service, and employees are very friendly, but sometimes quality or fruit and vegetables and not the best. Prices are very competitive to today's market.

11 Quid for 2 breakfast rolls and both covered in surface cleaner on the roll and meat I couldn't even just eat the meat as it had been on the counter too

This is my local shop. It has everything I need. I don't have to go far to get what I need. It is always well stocked and the staff are friendly.

Not a bad place if you are in a crunch and need some supplies fast (and pay some extra money). Don't expect the staff to be courteous though.

They offer good a service and when I asked them to bring the paper bags back, they did. So the place is also environment friendly.
