This is a long overdue and very well deserved review of Tabatha White, Property Manger Century 21 St. Marys, formerly Starr Partners. Before the time of Google reviews and “looking it up” there was a much more powerful tool for referrals, “word of mouth”. This is how I was first introduced to Tabatha. I had my first investment property and a good friend of mine without hesitation referred me to Tabatha. He already had properties managed by Tabatha and couldn’t speak more highly of her and insisted I should call her before signing anything with anyone. My property was at Blacktown and before calling Tabatha I spoke with local agents. I felt my property was out of Tabatha’s area. I took my friends advice and made that call. I’m glad I did, from the first meeting my concern of location disappeared. It was very clear my friend was 100% on the money. Tabatha’s extensive knowledge gained from her 16 years of experience along with her personable approach and professionalism shone over and above other Property Managers I’d already spoken too. Tabatha became my Property Manager. I felt my property was in extremely capable hands. On the rare occasion I needed to speak with Tabatha I always felt I was being listened to and had time to talk, never feeling rushed and always got an answer and explanation in plain English, very refreshing. Tabatha provides confidence. You’re in good hands with Tabatha. In an industry where people come and go Tabatha has stood the test of time. I have referred Tabatha to other people I know, all of them having nothing but good things to report. People don’t make personal referrals to their friends and family if for 1 minute they think that referral is going to haunt them. Not only has Tabatha been my Property Manager to manage my property I have also leased a property from Tabatha, so I have seen both sides of Tabatha as Property Manager. I will remain an advocate of Tabatha’s who is a rare find in a world that’s so busy in industry that’s so transient. 100% without a shadow of a doubt I know Tabatha and a team she leads will look after you.

As an investor I would avoid contacting Starr Partners St Marys to engage a property manager. Multiple community reports were made in writing about a tenant living in our previously undisturbed neighbourhood. We were advised by this agency that the tenant was within their rights to have a second person living at the property without being listed on the agreement. Unfortunately this person was engaging in disruptive and illegal activities which led to multiple home visits by police and, finally, a home invasion at the property. This now means that the individual who owns this property is liable to advise all prospective buyers and renters that a violent crime occurred on their property. This has resulted in the property been untenanted for a period of four weeks while they try to find a tenant willing to take on the risk. Genuinely concerned for our safety, I asked what the agency would be doing to prevent such an event taking place in future. The appropriate response would be to implement screening of all tenants living within the property, particularly where community concern is raised. The agency instead arrogantly advised that they ‘manage three other properties within the estate without any issues’ and that their lack of action was not to blame for the avoidable events that took place within our neighbourhood over a number of months. It is clear this agency has no intention of reflecting or learning from the incident which eventually took place. This is disappointing. Rather than respond to my feedback, the agency have requested feedback from friends and family who have coincidentally never left a review before in an attempt to hide my comments from view. I have left a large number of five star reviews for reputable businesses and would not normally express my concern in this way, however I think it’s important that prospective clients be well informed before making a such an important decision.

If you're in the market to rent a property, you might do your due dilligence by shopping around the various agencies in the area to find the best deal and fit - and you should. But, like me, you'll quickly realise that it's a waste of your time because Tabatha at Starr Partners St Marys is by far your best choice, bar none. With all the variables, costs and legalities to research and consider I was not looking forward to figuring out how to competently get my property on the market to rent. Tabatha didn't just deliver on answers to my multitudes of questions, she was able to provide intuitive and experience-based advice on the grey areas as well. Also a big shoutout to Catherine, our property manager, and Tori who ran a fantastic open home and ingoing inspection. I'm not normally one to jump online and write reviews but it's been a pleasure working with the whole team, thanks!
