Thanks to Chatswood police station for separating my son from the group of people he was safe with at 4pm this afternoon and sending him home at 8pm with NO ONE! It took 3hrs to get home in the cold because he had to scab money from people to get a train ticket to get home not only that but now he is very sick! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!"

Incompetent, rude and condescending police cops. Extremely bad at handling domestic violence situations. When they came around to my place to investigate allegations, they made comments which implied that the abuse I had experienced was MY fault. The cops clearly perpetuated victim-blaming attitudes and had zero knowledge of the realities of domestic violence. Police cops have so much influence on the community and it disgusts me that such ignorant men were allowed to enter the police force. I am so shocked and disgusted and seeing a serious situation handled so poorly makes me lose faith in the Australian legal system. The police had the power to either help me escape my situation and address my needs or to ignore my cries and leave me in a violent and helpless situation; they chose the latter in this case. To me, the inexperience and this signifies that Australian police officers do not have enough training to handle situations and are poorly selected. Not everyone is fit enough to be a police cop - some are too short tempered and some do not have the empathetic qualities required to be able to analyze situations correctly and see situations from others' points of view. The Australian police force needs to understand this and needs to be more selective and careful when choosing who can become a police cop. They also need to make cops undergo more rigorous training to ensure they are equipped to handle situations better. The short training police cops undergo is completely inappropriate and disproportionate to the wide range of powers they have.

I was looking to get my fingerprints taken at Chatswood Police Station to send to my home country for a police clearance certificate. I phoned twice and nobody picked up. I phoned again at 4pm and finally got through to someone. The officer on the phone assured me that the police station is open 24hrs and someone would be able to help me. Later that same day I arrived at the station just before 6pm. I stood at reception in the que while one officer was helping the couple infront of me, the remaining police officers just looked at me at remained seated. Eventually, after a couple of minutes had passed, the police officer that was helping the couple, asked one of his colleagues to assist me. His colleague reluctantly got off his chair and ushered me towards the reception desk. I told him I was looking to get my fingerprints take. He started asking me if I had all my relevant documents and an envelope. I did. He then said I was going to have to wait "quite a long time" and said I should rather come back tomorrow. I asked why and he replied that they were going to knock off work and I would have to wait for the next shift of officers to come in. He was looking for any reason or excuse he could think of not to assist me. He said I should have phoned ahead. I explained that I had and I was told I could come anytime. He refused to help me and I left, and he went back to sitting at his desk doing nothing of importance. This incident occurred at 5:50pm, 20th November 2019. The service was appalling to say the least.

Recently reported a theft from salvation army store. No event number, no follow up. Had they send one squad car around the block, they would have caught the thief. Apathetic, zero accountability or responsibility. This is after life time of bad police service. They act more like organised crime members more than public servants. Had one investigation cancelled and given absolutely BS run around excuse from jr constable because i challenged a sergeant jaywalking and he didnt like it one bit. What a bunch of clowns. Police needs someone to police them. Was a victim of road rage incident long time ago, wasnt offered event number again, no ambulance offered despite being covered in injuries. Despite having numerous witnesses, cops said it was my word against offending parties and no point invesrigating it further. Strongly suspect the officer in charge was racist and/or corrupt. Dont waste your time dont bother reporting anything to these clowns. You are better off doing nothing.

Excellent Police, do a great job protecting and helping an ungrateful and, most often, stupid public. I have read some reviews from some of the morons who posted their hate on here. I can see why these putrid humans write stuff like this. When I was in the station I was astounded that the only people who walk through the door are persons with too much chlorine in their gene pool. Seriously I can not believe these retards even managed to get to the station without being accidently killed let alone possess the ability to remember why they are there in the first place and then ask police to help with non police related complaints that are barely significant in their pathetic lives. Keep up the good work Cops and dont let retards bring you down.

I was involved in a car accident and the other party who was at fault refused to exchange the details that are required by law. And I had to call the police. Officer Macko and his partner attended the scene. It took a while for the officers to get the stories from both sides and to write the report. The other party denied the accident but after submitting the evidence from my car cam, I was able to get the necessary information from the officer for insurance purpose. I would like to thank the officers for their hard work and would strongly recommend to install car cam cause lots of people at fault will try to deny it.

A lovely place to stay the night (or even two!) if you’re in the neighbourhood. Excellent facilities and a wide range of rooms to choose from at the front desk. I highly recommend the breakfast buffet - which was exquisite (the croissants, fresh orange juice and Belgian waffles are must-tries). The staff were also very helpful and accommodating, even when I informed them of the mess that had regrettably accumulated in my room over the course of my stay. I have stayed in a number of such establishments over the years and none have surpassed the high standards of this exceptional hidden gem.

I could not find my car in Chatswood today. I thought I knew exactly where I parked it. I thought it had been stolen so I reported it to Chatswood police. The two officers who helped me were very patient and understanding. Constable L Sergeant offered to drive me around the streets in the vicinity where I thought I'd parked my car. Yes, I was mistaken... we located it a few blocks away. Thank you so much to Constable Sergeant!!! I hope you realise how grateful I am and I don't mind if you have a laugh on me. You guys do a great job!

Sister called police due to fear of her safety as she recognised indicators of past attacks. Police showed up, disregarded her testimony and told her “listen to your mother” & “This is not a police issue... call us when a (real) problem happens”6 hours later and we had to redial that number due to physical assault. Maybe if chatswood police took the issue seriously the first time around my sister wouldn’t have a bruised neck and be struggling to breath.

Officer Drewe helped me refer a case to Maroubra a couple of weeks ago. He was so helpful and got onto the case straight away. He took time to understand the entirity of the situation and he helped put me at ease. Ive never had much experience with police officers but I keep hearing bad things about them via viral media. If all police officers are like him, I honestly have no idea what the media is on about.

  • Stefan Gygax

Went to get fingerprints done for visa reasons at around 7pm on a week night. Extremely courteous especially in light that the officer was alone and had the phone ringing, and other people waiting for him up front. He handled everything with a pleasant demeanor even though he clearly was being stretched a bit thin. 10/10 would get put into the Aussie fingerprint database again.

One of your officers just followed me home. From work. 10 minutes of driving. Didn't pull me over. U turned and put his lights on to get around a bus then just followed me. Not sure what type of "police work" includes harassing people but next time just pull me over for the RBT or RDT. Then let me drive home at 4am without being watched? Kind Regards.

We saw a woman being beaten up by a man the other night on the street. We instantly called the police and stepped in to stop the altercation. The police said they were on their way. We waited for half an hour and eventually the man and woman left (we couldn't make the guy stay). The police never showed up or called back. Pretty lazy and despicable.

  • Tom Lindeback

Would give 0 stars if I could. My sister reported a meth dealer in her house and was given the advice she should have just beaten him up (21 y/o girl). No follow up, complete distrust from the police and not even knowing their own records. Constable Rick Dodman in particular was unsympathetic and even aggressive towards her and her house mates.

We had a glass door broken in our business in Lane Cove. It was reported via the police assistance line, who did nothing. Rang Chatswood and they said three days latter they had not gotten the report. Six calls later nothing has been done. Seems like a ping pong match. Had to give them a star to finish the review.

  • Lulu Draws

Had an issue regarding the safety and potential break-in of our home. Constable Brown was very understanding and resolved the situation with such professionalism. Not to mention it was a busy night for them too! This is the first time we reported something to the police and am very impressed. Thank you Mr Brown!

Very courtesy service on a Saturday morning when I reported a traffic incident that had occurred earlier in an adjoining postcode area. Neat, clean reception area - you feel safe here. Well located to shopping centres and car parking. A short walk from metro station.

  • Wing Chan

For immigration department needs,I print fingerprints here. My English is not good, but all the staff here are very good, especially the male policeman who assisted me! I didn’t make an appointment, it took about 20 minutes to complete, Thank you very much!

  • Mark Iles

My 13 yo son had an idea who stole something valuable from him and reported it to the police, within 24 hrs the item was recovered, the police were very friendly and helpful. I appreciate their professionalism towards my wife and son. Thankyou.

  • Fritz Fuchs

just checking for the phone number and had a read of the reviews. I am very surprised because twice I have been there and found them to be extremely helpful. Both times I went to report domestic abuse. They took it seriously and acted upon it.

  • Adu Yeboah

Constable IDDLES is an absolute asset to your police force. He was extremely helpful and went above and beyond in resolving my issue. He has restored my faith in the police force, overwhelmingly surprised at the level of professionalism shown.

  • Tessa Robinson

Officers MacArthur( Josh) and Matt Rogers attended a distressing incident at my home in Cammeray on Friday September 24. I would like to thank them so much for their courtesy and consideration. Excellent public servants to be commended.

  • Kirste PEMBERTON

Staff are wonderful, i dropped my purse and it got handed in and because i was unable to pick it up that day, they went out of their way while busy to drive to my house just to personally give it me. Thankyou for that :)

  • Garry van Diggele

Extremely slow service and don't actually do anything useful. Instead of helping real crimes focus on other things. Might as well be non existent as they redirect everything to hotlines anyway.

  • Zhivan Wasinski

They were very gentle when they hand cuffed me and their Police vehicles were spotless. Overall very professional and polite, would definitely get arrested again.

  • Patty (patty)

The police officers who helped me were very patient, and carefully asked me what happened, even if I was not good at English, they didn't dislike me.

  • Caroline Scott

I called the Chatswood Police to make an enquiry about a minor incident and they were super helpful and very friendly. Excellent service.
