Chattogram Railway Station is a railway station in Bangladesh, situated at Battoli, Station Road of Chattogram District. It is one of the largest railway stations of the country. This station has an old and a new terminal. The old terminal was constructed during the British era. It comprises a two-storied 56.24 m long and 10.37 m wide station building, which was constructed on November 7, 1896. On September 30, 2013, modernization and remodeling of Chittagong Railway Station started. A new terminal was constructed beside the old terminal. Chattagram is related to loot of firearms from the armoury British Rulers .Also the work place of the Hindu devotee Hari Chand Thakur. Kali temple also draws devotees irrespective of their religious faith. Chattagram can be accessed through all modes of communications viz road ,rail,air and railways. Accommodations are available in abundance. One should prefer to visit between November and March. There is well maintained cemetery where war martyrs of second world war are taking rest in peace. There are some famous restaurants which sells palatable mouth watering dishes.

Authority trying to developed the environment, trying to keep clean though they always failed for their mismanagement, they don't keep any dustbin drum after some distance to throw the garbage, and the back side connexting road just behind the RNB office are to dirty, now a days people throw all dirty things garbage here, it's quite impossible to walk and move through this connecting road. Also they should developed the Biroti Restaurant environment, specifically they should take some hard action to improve the cleaning issue and food quality. And also either they should closed the no 1 counter that they kept for ladies and disabled people or they should set a fixed person, because every day ladies are moulded harassed by gents while they come to buy tkt break the line.

I visited this place for my coxs bazar tour and we made our journey by "Sonar Bangla Express", this is the fastest rail to reach Chittagong to Dhaka with no stopage between these two stations.

Trains depart for different parts of the country including Dhaka and Sylhet from this station. Ticket counters, waiting rooms for passengers of different classes, canteen, book shop, ATM booth, travel agency can be found. Smokers have to go outside the station to buy cigarettes. The washrooms were not clean enough when I visited.

The toilets are flooded with its broken door, no separate toilet or washroom for women. Waiting space is over crowed, it could be with two stairs so that more people can sit. But the trains are well on spot, easy to find, stuffs were helpful as well.

It is the main railway station of the commercial city of Chittagong in Bangladesh. Surroundings are clean but rest room smells a lot, other than that everything is good. From this station the shuttle train leaves for Chittagong University.

As divisional city railway station should be more systematic, organized. But enrty row is very less in rash hour it will occur crowd in the entry gate. Entry checking should be more secure. Platforms are well managed.

The station has very large platform. The parking is complicated, specially when a train is leaving. Pathetic public toilet. No good food shop. Be on time for your train.

Good atmosphere inside the building, Very helpful staff. Everything was good But the train was delayed due to engine failure, took 3 hours to start again.

Classically dirty, unorganized occupied unwanted people. Your bags and luggages are not safe at all. I feel unsafe there.

Maybe the second most busy train station after dhaka ( Kamlapur Railway Station ) It's not perfect but it's good enough.
