I had repacked the mufflers on my motorcycle and was feeling a bit hungry and thirsty when friend called up to see how I was doing. He suggested he’d better come over and provide some quality control on my work so I invited him for pizza and beer. I whipped over to Edgemont’s Chicago Deep Dish Pizza and found the doors locked; I was just a bit too early for opening time. However, GS was working in the back and saw me and came to the door. A few minutes later, he was preparing a large all-dressed for me to take away in half an hour. I took my dog for a walk and came back at 4:00 pm, his regular opening time, and found a thick, juicy, aromatic pizza awaiting my arrival. GS owns Chicago Deep Dish Pizza and makes the best pizza in the area in my opinion. The crust is soft and tasty and the toppings are always thick and smothered in cheese. It was nice to have the pizza and beer all ready in the garage when my chum rolled up to survey my motorcycle handiwork. Edgemont’s Chicago Deep Dish Pizza is an Edgemont fixture. GS and his pizza shop have been here for years and, as a small owner-operated business, it always gets my support. Check it out… and watch for motorcycles when you’re driving home with your pizza.

I invited a friend over for pizza and pool a couple of days ago. It had been a long time since the two of us had got together to do anything other than work. I called up Edgemont’s Chicago Deep Dish Pizza and ordered a medium Galaxy pizza. I was told that the large pizza was only a couple of bucks more so I got the larger version and was very happy that I did. I made several meals out of it! I’ve ordered from this location previously and found the service, quality, and quantity of the pizza makes it very worthwhile. The crust is soft and tasty and the toppings are always thick and smothered in cheese. GS owns this location and makes the best pizza in the area, in my opinion. GS and his pizza shop have been here for years and, as a small owner-operated business, it always gets my support. As to the pool games... I lost 3 games out of 5; but, I can’t blame that on the pizza. LOL!

Many great things to say about this location. The owner, is absolutely amazing. Love this guy. He's genuine, and helps you with what you want, and he is honest with you. I've never had CDD before, and let me say.. I've had this location and another.. I recommend this location 100% than any other location. The food is extremely delicious. The pizza.. no match to any competitors. Very good toppings, very well made. Crispy, gooey, meaty, what's not to love? Not only the pizza, but the wings as well.. ah to die for. I'm a picky wing eater, meaning wings you get from places aren't as good or arent crispy or flavored well.. BUT the wings from this CDD location, OUT OF THIS WORLD. I sadly don't have a picture of the pizza as I ordered it at night and was starving so totally forgot to take a picture of the glorious meaty goodness. I'd recommend this place to any pizza lover. When you walk in, it's like you're apart of the family. They will take care of you.

We always drive from Cochrane to these small pizza, because the guy that helped us at these location is a very nice person who has incredible customer service skills and our pizza is always fresh and great. We just picked up pizza on June 4th, and our Hawaiian pizza was done to perfection.. we were so hungry that while parked in front of the store, we decided to take a pizza slice, and the gentleman that helped us notice and come out to give us dissposible plates and napkings while asking if there's anything else, and thanking us for coming all the way to his location, then wishing us a safe trip back home. we recommend these location every time.!!

Perfect deep dish pizza in Calgary. Also, they have halal options - pizza taste better than any other place in NW. Perhaps the closest is Royal Pizza, but definitely more value for money here.

Our family orders pizza and wings at least twice a week from different places. We have never ordered from this location and decided to as they were the only ones open at 2 am. The wings and pizza were amazing! I am beyond picky when it comes to how my wings are cooked, they were perfect! The pizza had a crazy amount of toppings and this will now be our new weekly pizza place to order from. Great job, guys!

9/10 would order again. For the price, this is one of the best pizza places in Calgary. Crust and sauce make a pizza, and whoever owns this place has it down to an art. If you like toppings, this place definitely has you covered. We've lived in Edgemont for two years now and finally ordered from Chicago Deep dish this spring. Since then we've ordered twice more. Quality is definitely consistent.

I have ordered here twice now and each time the pizza had barely any toppings/cheese and was overcooked. If you like eatting dough and crust then this is the place for you... The pepperoni/salami meat has such a weird taste too, so processed like lunch meat. I will not be ordering from this location again and don't understand how the reviews are above a 4 star.

We have been buying pizza from them for years because it is consistently very good. His crust is tasty and his pizza sauce is flavorful. The owner is very friendly. His son is friendly as well, just confirm the order with him because he is prone to errors. Occassionally, the owner will even include a deal such as free extra cheese or a free 2L bottle of Coke.

Classic hole in the wall joint wirh the most underrated food. Your neighborhood secret. The pizza here is really good. It is very filling. One pizza is enough for 4 people or more. The sauce is very flavorful. With pizza this thick you'd think it might get soggy but it does not. It is even good the next day. Thank you for keeping it halal.

The pizza is OK, not the worst I had and not the best either. I was overcharged: ordered 2 pizzas under buy one get one 50% off (one pizza was $24, another one $22 regular price), got charged $40+tax+tip. When I questioned the charge, the owner redirected the conversation starting talking to my kids and being super nice with them.

Pizza is deliciously loaded with a lot of toppings, sauce is yummy too, I went in after midnight and ordered the Mr. Universe with beef added, superb! Really appreciated the fact that he didn’t charge me for the extra topping, super nice guy. Will continue ordering from here when ever I’m in mood for a good thick slick of pizza.

So dry! Everything about the pizza was dry, the base and even the cheese was dry! The cheese was hard with a plastic like texture. My wife called and asked about it and there was zero resolve from the staff plus a rude attitude. Was told to order something else next time. There won’t be next time. Worst pizza I’ve ever had!!!!!

Don't know why the reviews are so good on this place. Just ordered $60 bucks worth of garbage. Wings had a funky smell and a worse taste, had 1 bite and threw $15 away. Pizza wasn't as bad, I managed to finish one piece and the rest will be joining the wings. Just terrible quality, taste, product. All around bad

They have really delicious, freshly made pizza. I've always gone to pick it up instead of delivery and the staff are lovely and welcoming, and the pizza is piping hot when handed over to us. Big square pizzas for a very good price- two xlarge pizzas feed eight people easily. Looking forward to the next time!

FEB 2020: Still a regular customer. Always sparkling clean food preparation area and very friendly owner. Our only source for Deep Dish. YEARS AGO: Always really tasty, fast & fresh. Loaded with scrumptious toppings. My kids & I really love this pizza - our absolute favorite "The Galaxy".

So displeased with this place. For the price this indeed was by far the worst pizza we ever had in Calgary. We should have read the reviews who gave just one star. The dough tasted plain, really not better than any frozen pizza. Overpriced, topped with cheap ingredients.

What a monster of a pizza!!! I stopped in to order a medium "Mr. Olympia" The guy suggested a large for $2 more. This pizza weights almost 10lbs!! Was ready in about 10mins. Perfectly cooked. Delicious!! Well worth the $$
