This is a heads up that bringing cash to this location could subject you to a longer than average wait for your order and possible humiliation. My young grandson asked me to get him a Chik-Fil-A meal the other day. It was 106 degrees outside, and the drive through line was taking much longer than usual and got very long, so I kept my engine running while waiting to inch up to services. When I finally got the the window to get my order and pay, I handed the clerk a $20 bill and was told to "wait while I get change," which I did. When she returned, it was with another young woman and as the two of them proceeded to hold the bill up to the light and comment on various features, it was clear the wait wasn't about getting change. They were looking to see if the bill was counterfeit! As I sat there, in a hot car, waiting and watching, I found myself thinking about George Floyd and how two young fast food employees, who probably don't know an actual counterfeit bill from Monopoly money, could have the ability to ruin my day...and my grandson's day... really fast if they decided there was a problem and called the police. They finally decided to give me change and my order and let me go on my way, but thoughts of this experience have been bothering me. So today I called to speak with a manager about it, and was told SAPD had instructed employees to examine any money that "looks odd" because they've gotten counterfeit money recently. I told him I would be glad to let people know this could happen so they can avoid humiliation by using a credit card to pay at this location, and that's what I'm doing now.

I eat at Chick-fil-a too often, but this location is off the list. I went to this location and ordered curbside via the app. And then... I waited. And waited. And waited. After 20 minutes, I went inside to find out what happened to our order. The inside of the restaurant looked like a disaster zone. The floors were shiny with grease, there was food trash on the floors, chairs, and tables. I could only identify two tables in the whole place that weren’t covered in trash. If the dining area is filthy, how clean can the kitchen be? Upon arriving at the counter, I was told to wait in line. After sharing that I’d waited long enough outside, the person behind the counter miraculously found our order, now cold, sitting behind the counter. He said that it was taking a long time because they were so busy, handed my cold bag of food to me, and turned around. Nope. I’m done. I expect better of any restaurant, but especially a CFA, as so many other locations I’ve visited across the country have provided a wonderful experience. Off the list.

I really haven't ever been disappointed in a Chick-fil-A before but today was that unfortunate day. The girl taking the order was great, but the hyperactive guy at the window was shoving everything Into my hand like he was in a massive hurry. The biscuit was in 6 pieces and the chicken piece was about the size of 2 chicken nuggets put together. Then the bagel was burnt on the chicken bagel so the whole thing tasted like ash, unfortunately. The hash browns were super soggy with oil and barely room temperature. Lastly, the frosted caramel coffee was completely melted. The only good thing, food wise, was the half tea half lemonade. I understand that when breakfast is almost over things tend to get a little sloppy but that only happens at mediocre restaurants. Not here. Chick-fil-A has higher standards and I hope that someone sees this from the store and encourages the employees to stay strong until the end. A weak finish may be a finish but there's no pride in that.

This location is the worst one I’ve been to. I usually put up with it, but today was horrible. The wait for the drive thru was terrible. The line would not move for the longest time. After a while I parked instead, and placed my order for carry out, and the wait was still so long. The Mac and cheese I ordered was BARELY half way full. It was such a pathetic portion. Not worth what I paid. Also on the way home, I noticed a strange smell coming from the bag. I then found out the smell was from the NAPKINS! They smell like they’re covered in chemicals. That CANNOT be healthy. It was such a strong smell. It makes me wonder what the heck they’re doing with the napkins. The restaurant itself was absolutely dirty. Tables weren’t clean and the floors were absolutely filthy. I love chic-fil-a, but this location ruins its reputation. I’m very displeased. Do yourself a favor and go to a different location

Employees are always a "pleasure" to deal with. Their service is top knotch and their food is always fresh. The employees that maintain the lobby are awesome. Everything is always well stocked and the trash is never overflowing. Out of all the chick-fil-a's Ive been to this one is by far the best in san antonio. I dont like how they have reserved all those spots in the parking lot for pre-orders because I usually walk in and now I cant park there anymore. I hardly see that many people using those spots so they dont need to take the whole side of that parking lot. The only other thing I would say is to make sure the cashiers speak good enough English so customers understand them and they understand the customers. A few times it was alittle frustrating because the cashier was hard to understand and I had to repeat myself for her to understand me. Managers do a great job at this Chick-fil-a.

The only reason we stopped here (drivethrough was unbelievably packed) was for the playground. Fortunately, it was not as full inside, and the playground was almost desolate. Most of our food was okay except for the salad. The salad had all kinds of brown lettuce. For refills, the attendants would walk by cleaning but were never offered to refill. The refill part is not an issue for us, but I'm sure some people are accustomed to receiving that service at CFA. Anyways, we will probably be back just for the playground because, unfortunately, the one by my house has been permanently removed. This time, however, we will steer away from the salads.

YIKES! I’m a big Chick-Fil-A fan and this one was beyond a let down. The inside was hot and DIRTY. I’m talking trash and food under almost every table. Most tables were very dirty. It was still set up for social distancing, which is fine but they made no effort to make it look nice or clean and that’s a big no no. Beyond the gross inside, they forgot part of my order and gave me 3 containers of old/burnt/hard fries. I’ve worked at multiple chick fil a’s in my lifetime so I do judge them a little harsh as I know what they can be. For this one being in a very nice area I expected a lot more. Needless to say I’ll be driving 15 minutes further from home to go to a better quality store. Don’t waste your money at this location, it’s not the Chick-Fil-A experience you’re looking for.

So I want to say that we all love Chick-fil-A and the food is great. I will say that I have had issues at this location though. The last 2-3 times we have gotten curbside from here, when I get home something is always wrong with the order. Today they completely forgot the kids meal. This has happened in the past. We have called before and they will say of just come on by and get it etc. This is it is a 15-20 round trip. I'm already at home with everyone's else's food but the kids meal. Didn't even bother calling them this time as we didn't want to go back and get it to come home 20 minutes later. If it was a one off sure, but it has happened 2-3 times in the last 2 months. Almost everytime we go. Love the food, but I think this location has some service issues.

Update: This location is BEYOND disappointing. I was given soggy fries! I just don’t get it. Never in my life have I been disappointed with their quality of food or service. Seems like EVERY other location is better than this one. I get crispier and fresher fries from Walmart right next door. They continue to disappoint and it’s a shame to a brand that’s known for good quality food and service. You’re better off shutting down this location because it’s doing no favors. Went around 5pm for a 12 ct nugget meal. Nuggets were super chewy and not enjoyable so I gave the rest of them to my dogs. A nice gentleman and Larisa made the experience a bit better by giving me some fresh fries on the house. Side note: The watermelon mint sunjoy is straight fire!! A must try!

Really glad this isn’t our main location. We stopped here on our way home and I cant say I’ve been to a worse location than this one. Manager is definitely not on top of things here!!! Before we even got our order there were 2 people who were complaining about the service. I shrugged it off, things happen. Until they messed up our order too lol! Floors were gross. Bathrooms- even worse. Disgusting! Service is just not very good, ESPECIALLY for my beloved CFA standards. Mobile ordering? Just don’t. Not here. Walking into the restaurant (first time here) I mentioned to my husband that this location seemed pretty empty. I’ve never been to an empty CFA before, and now I know why!

I went to the drive-thru and ordered two items. 1 milkshake and a order of waffle fries. The waffle fries were cold the milkshake was prepared wrong. A fast place restaurant like this I would have thought never had cold fries. I think they gave me these on purpose and it's very disappointing. Unfortunately once I got on the highway and went to eat one I realized it. I asked for no whip no cherry. But got the shake and had both. Two simple items and they got that wrong!!! And with covid still going on I don't like the fact that cashiers are standing outside taken orders by coming up to your window unmasked. Let me just go to the board if you can't put a mask on talking to me through my car window. Very disappointed in the whole experience there.

Part of this is for Chick Fil A as a brand and part is for this store in particular. I just ordered breakfast at this location and they gave me a burrito with a dried out tortilla that was probably warmed hours before. The hash browns were not crispy and seemed like they were cooked in old oil. As for the Brand. Chick Fil A will be losing a customer because of their reductions to the breakfast menu and size of drinks. They charge a ridiculous price for a tiny cup of iced coffee they fill half way with ice. I don't think you even get 8oz in there. Also, tge removal of the chicken egg and cheese bagel menu item is egregious. Arguably the best breakfast item they had they removed. Sad to see a once respectable franchise go into the toilet.

The worst CfA that ever visited. Was very quiet when we were there last Saturday at 10am. Tables, floor and condiments filthy as I never seeing it before. All the associates were just talking to each others or busy on their cel phone rather than clean or pick up dirty items left all over the place. Service were not friendly at all either. We stayed approx 40 mins with our kids and watched all the entire show. Where are gone all the top high standards from this iconic company? I would better gone to McDonalds next time. I can't tell you enough how bad that experience was, I hope that this was just a bad day, keeping working like this I can only see loss of clients very good client like us will never coming back. Good luck

Every single time I pick up food from this specific Chick-Fil-a there is always at least one item missing or an out right mess up of my order. EVERY SINGLE TIME! I placed a mobile order this time anround and put down three CKFa sauces and a ketchup packet… none of which are in the bag so now I’m eating dry fries and nuggets. It’s so bad that I drive an extra two miles to my favorite CKFa on DeZavala any time I get a craving instead of going to this one that’s less than a mile from my house. Don’t waste your time at this incredibly disorganized restaurant, go to the one on DeZavala if you can. If you can’t double check your order at the window.

**UPDATE: the prices here have gone up and it is now not a realistic dinner option if you're trying to budget or spend a reasonable amount of money eating out; portion sizes lacking while prices continues to rise** Have had several experiences at this location, overall positive. Some minor irritations would be when napkins and requested sauces are not remembered with our order. In addition on 2 separate occasions we had cold fries; one of those times they were the wrong size as well (we had paid extra for larges). Although there have been some frustrations, we have been here many times without issue, so we give the location 4 stars :)

This location is definitely not up to CFA quality service and standards. The employees are rude and unwelcoming as they always appear to be more occupied by their personal conversations as opposed to working. I walked in to place a pickup order at 9:35 pm and immediately noticed 3 employees standing around talking. When one finally did acknowledge me he told me the inside closes at 9 and I would have to go thru the drive thru which was about 15 cars deep. Mind you I didn't want to dine inside, just place and go. It doesn't make sense to have operating hours til 10, while limiting how customers are served for the last hour. If you close at 10, that should include the inside as well.

I love chic fil a, and the food is like most other chic fil a’s. But had my order messed up twice in a row. The first time they just completely forgot I placed a dine in order. The second time was a forgotten item in the drive through. I called to check and there was no way for them apparently to give me my money back or even give me a free item other than to immediately drive back which would be stupidly inconvenient. You would think they would have a solution for this by now, like using someone’s phone number or sending a gift card via the app. It’s okay to make mistakes, you just should fix them after.

I had a pleasant dining experience at this location today. I came alone with 2 young children. One worker was able to clean down a high chair for my infant upon request. And another staff member was able to grab us napkins when we got low. It can be a handful carrying out young kids, and our belongings, but there was always an employee ready to help me. Someone was able to toss our trash and another helped me getting through the doors while I had one kid in hand and another in a stroller. Thank you!

I have not been to a Chick-fil-A in well over a year. For me, the best thing about Chick-fil-A is the dinning in experience. The best of all fast food restaurants. And since the closest Chick-fil-A is over 20 miles, going through the drive thru is not practical. Add to that, I don't feel like waiting in the really long lines. So I went at 3pm on a Thursday and the wait at the drive thru was not bad. Food was good, but eating in my car was just not great. So minus one star for not having an open dining room. FYI, I go to the Whataburger next door all the time because I can dine in.

I am a huge fan of chick fil a, however I will never return to this location. We pre-ordered through the app to avoid the drive through line but still waited 10 minutes to get to a pick up spot because the line was backed up out into the street. After getting to a pick up spot our food came out within 5 minutes, however the nuggets were dry and cold as if they were cooked hours ago and multiple times, the fry's were cold, and the sandwiches were just as bad. The only reason this location is getting 2 stars is because the employee who brought our food was pleasant and kind!

This Chick Fil A was great, fast and delicious. Overall staff was courteous and overall eill return in the future. I would recommend to anyone. 1 Year Update: I am dropping the 5 star review to 3 stars. Ordered at Drive Thru and went through. Although, I asked if anything was missing they told me everything was in bag. I drove home and realized they missed my Chick-Fil-A wrap. For big orders I recommend everyone check their bags as they might make a mistake. Overall, food was good, service was okay, but they missed my food. Was not pleased with that mistake.

Horrible service from the staff and especially the manager Arian. I placed an order online and sent someone to pick it up for me. They waited over 30 min to even be acknowledged at the drive-thru. I asked for a free fry for having to wait so long and for the manager refusing to give the order to the person I sent. Arian told me I had no place to ask for anything. He had the person I sent wait another 20 min just to receive the order and also refused to give the name of his regional manager. This is after paying more than $30 for 2 meals.

This Chick-fil-A is clean and quick like all other locations, but I would recommend that management relocate this location to an area better suited for the number of customers they have. This location has customers waiting in line out to the street. This is a good problem to have, but a poor presentation of good business. I can’t see how customers would enjoy sitting in the road to get a meal. Management needs to address this issue, if they respect there customer base.

Called them to ask if they could carry it out instead, she said she couldn’t tell the person it was for Curbside because they were too busy, but if I canceled my order, they could remake it and take it to curbside. I said I can’t cancel the order because it says it’s in the window, and the person there to pick it can’t get out of the car well, she said there was nothing she could do, then hung up

The worst chic-fil-a I’ve ever been to. I much rather go out of my way to go to the one at 281 and 1604. The food is very hit and miss, never seem to have a decent experience at this one. First issue was going through the drive thru one evening, got my food and sat at the window waiting for my drink because the employees were too busy gossiping until the girl notice I was still sitting there and I had to tell her I was waiting for my drink. Not to mention them forgetting stuff in your order. Very unhappy with the level of service.

I’ve been to many Chick-fil-A‘s and this was the worst experience by far. Tonight at around 6 PM the drive-through was the slowest ever. Usually my experience is they are very efficient at other locations. Once I finally got to the window to pick up my order it looked like they had many employees in that area just not processing fast I guess. I purchased two chicken finger meals for my wife and I both orders were not fresh seems like they had been made quite a while back. Completely out of character for a Chick-fil-A location.

In my opinion, the food quality seems to drop everytime I goto Chick-fil-A. I don't get it for myself anymore. The only reason I make a stop now is when my daughter requests chicken mini biscuits. That meal with oj is almost the same price as 2 BOB meals at Whataburger; but she enjoys it. However I can't remember a time where Chick-fil-A messed up an order like the Whataburger nextdoor does.

I work down the road so unfortunately I’m here often. Customer service is like no other Chik Fil A I’ve been to, it’s horrible! Employees are rude and have no manners, never say thank you, always talking to other employees when you drive up to pay and aren’t helpful. Every time I go they forget my ketchup even when requested at the order box (which is extremely frustrating). If they weren’t so busy chit chatting they probably wouldn’t forget my ketchup! They never fill my fries they are always skimpy. Overall bad service!

We love Chick-fil-A as a family ❤️ Our favorites are the #1 meal and the nuggets with BBQ sauce and original sauce. The Lemonade is also my favorite. Their service is always great. The kids taking orders are always friendly and polite. That's always a pleasure. Wish it was like this at other fast food places.

We waited AGES to get our order. It seems like they were understaffed, but that doesn't change the experience. We went inside because it didn't feel safe sitting out in the street in the wildly-long drive thru line. We were able to order quickly, but then waited and waited and waited for our food. Presumably as a gesture of apology, there was a coupon tucked into our bag when it finally came - but it was expired! Talk about adding insult to injury...

Unfortunately, this is the only chick fil a I've ever been to that was not up to par. The cashier was very untrained and made multiple mistakes. They were also not familiar with the mobile app and the rewards program, causing a bunch of headaches. Additionally, I mentioned that we received the wrong item, and their response was "that's what you ordered". It was only after I displayed the receipt that it was begrudgingly corrected. Restaurant was also slightly dirty and needed some tidying.

What can you say that hasn't been said about Chic-fil-a? I can tell you this restaurant has a huge appreciation of their community. They promote their youth, their special needs, and their athletes in our small part of the big Texas sky. Of course the food is hot and served with a smile. Drive thru is never a long line, or wait. Staff never complaining behind the counter about their shift or lack of. We visit the "eat in" dining area at least once a week and are never disappointed.

The service was fast and the food was great. It was a little busy at lunch, and at the to-go lanes, it wasnt quite clear if both lanes were open, but it was good overall. I recommend this place. It has enough parking if you plan to dine in, or if you want to grab food on-the-go. During lunch, it's hard to get out of there, but if you are going 1604 West, exit through the back to get onto the access road. Thats the fastest way to get out of there during rush hour traffic.

We ordered 12 sandwiches 12 fries and 30 count nuggets we only got 4 sandwiches and 4 fries delivered. The rest of the order was missing. We spent greater than 100 dollars on this order. My husband had to drive out to pick up the food. Poor attention to detail and very stressed with packers in our home and hoping to feed everyone in a timely manner. Don’t recommend. The manager could have been more helpful and considerate to our need and compensate us for our troubles.

We love going to this Chick-fil-A, everyone is always polite and friendly. It's typically busy and there is a reason why. Our kids enjoy playing in the indoor playground and even when it's crowded there's an abundance of staff asking if you need anything. Solomon is one of the greatest employees there. He's always cheerful, friendly, and willing to help with absolutely everything. Such a great man of God; I love seeing him and hearing about his family.

By far the slowest CFA I've ever been to. Ordering at the drive thru window, then waiting 10 minutes in line and my food wasn't already bagged when I finally arrive at the window is embarrassing and completely unacceptable, especially when we're talking about very basic orders like #1's entree only. At first I thought it was a fluke, so I came back. It keeps happening, even during non-rush hours. I never write reviews but I just had to in this case.

I mobile ordered online at 10:11 arrived at 10:20 and sat in like for 10 minutes before they got too me at 10:32 and she accepted it pulled up to the window and they said they were out! So I sat in line for 25 minutes with hungry toddlers in my backseat after being told I was good when I arrived on time. Then being told no! That’s unbelievable I then got a notification my card was charged before I got to the window! So we will see if I get charged!

The salads a really good and fresh, but are also extremely over priced. They have three lanes open door ordering, and if you have a simple order they will have it ready extremely fast. The lobby is not open at this location (but is at other Chick-fil-As), but I think they allows them to serve more people faster since the parking lot is now the extra drive-thru lanes.

Service and atmosphere don't mean anything when you get old fries, and an old sandwich that's been sitting for idk how long. This is not the first time this specific Chick Fil A has failed to meet expectations for me. I've ordered here multiple times, receiving either the wrong order, stale fries, or old sandwiches. Highly disappointed, and will probably never order here again. Shameful.

I work across from this Chick-fil-A at Phenix Salon Suites. Damon Hair Studios( shameless plug).. Anyways.. My son and I love going to this location. Really friendly staff and attentive. So I usually go to this Chick-fil-A. They are alright and provide okay service. They have messed up on my order several times and out of any Chick-fil-A I’ve ever been to the outside employees don’t have a good attitude. Today they have given me a coke instead of a diet Dr Pepper. I don’t care that’s it’s a different soda but I’m diabetic so I can’t drink regular soda. If you have a choice in Chick-fil-A restaurants choose another one.

This franchise owner should be disbarred from owning such a reputable franchise. How the hell do you not offer salads. I’ve eaten Chick-fil-A probably few hundred times and I’ve never seen a store just flat out stop offering salad. When I asked why they stop selling salads they said staffing issues. If you have staffing issues you should push meals that can be pre-made like a Cobb Salad. Now they aren’t even open for breakfast.

Every time I come to this drive thru, I regret making this mistake again. This is consistently the SLOWEST chick-fil-a, and as a mom, I am a frequent customer of chick-fil-as. The car line is often out to the street, which is really unsafe! I wish it wasn’t the closest to my house. I avoid it whenever possible, and you should too. I’m not sure why management doesn’t have people taking orders outside like other chick-fil-as do?

OK, I’m over this location! This is the second time I’ve had to wait a ridiculous long time for a take-out order. Bunch of kids standing around some of which are on their phone. The past 5 times I’ve done carry out the wait is ridiculous. Today it was 25 minutes of waiting in lobby for a 5 nugget kids meal. The purpose of ordering ahead is to save time from waiting in drive thru, you are better off just doing drive thru those orders seem to have priority - not the carry out orders that are ordered way in advance.

We normally go to the Chick-fil-a at 1604 & 281, because it's closer. On this day, ours had cars wrapped around the building and out to the access road. We opted to try this location and we pulled right up. They are staffed and designed to take a higher volume, and the employees were polite & efficient. My only negative was that my sandwich was a little soggy, because the pickles leaked through the bottom bun.

I called the store because i go there quite frequently and Wendy couldn’t make an exception for my 5Y old daughter to receive breakfast 10 min after. Even tho it was bought an paid for. She refused to help us out being a frequent customer of this location. Company policy - i get it BUT there is always exceptions or should be. What’s the point of ordering ahead anyway if you can’t even reserve your food.

Such a friendly staff. They always say "It's my pleasure," thats real southern manners. Their food is always fresh and they hv good texas tea. Literally the worst chick fil a I’ve ever been to. Slow, they always get my order wrong or incomplete, the workers are always wondering around or goofing off. This review is after many many times of coming to this location. AVOID this location!! Or plan on Waiting over 30 minutes for your food every time with it likely being wrong.

I come here pretty often bc I clean a house nearby, even if they're busy they always move the long line of cars through very quickly! My foods always hit n yummy! My first time at a chick-fil-A. The food is very good, great service. My complaint is that they have their lobby closed, its drive thru only. They have girls outside taking orders, but its before you get to a menu, so I had to order blind. The whole thing seemed off, I wasn't a fan of that procedure. Otherwise, very yummy

Very unfortunate event, placed an order and drove 15 minutes to the location to be told they didn’t have my order because they ran out. I did order it 30 minutes before closing but was still charged by the app and now I have to wait 3 business day for a refund. So no meal, wasted gas, and funds late to be returned. Wow

Horrible experience. Ordered 3 breakfast meals at 9:30 am. The girl taking orders at the drive thru was not friendly and barely said anything more than “ok.” The hasbrowns we’re stale and the chicken minis were undercooked with soggy bread. We trashed the food because it was so awful. Definitely avoid this location.

The food and service are always great. I never any problem coming to this location. I like the quick and friendly service. The location is visible from the Blanco rd but not from Loop 1604. The Frosted coffee is great and nowhere can beat Chick-fil-a for this type of drink. Keep on good work, guys.

I have been bringing my kids here for years. The interior was always clean and inviting. Recently after the dining room reopened, we dined inside. The interior was filthy. It felt dark and unkept. The staff were wonderful and kind, but it needs a good cleaning.
