First, let me say I've been eating at Chillies since they opened in Barrhaven. The food has always been (and still is) excellent. However in recent months, employees seem to be completely overwhelmed, with kitchen staff unable to complete online orders within the designated time (on multiple occasions, we've witnessed several people waiting at least an hour past when their food was supposed to be ready). We happened to dine in on Valentine's Day. The restaurant was almost completely empty when we showed up at 6pm, and they had a $25 per person set menu with about 6 or 7 courses. There was a massive backlog of online orders, so the staff spent most of their time trying to placate waiting customers. We were instructed to order one dish from each category, and assumed the dishes were smaller than usual. The food was delicious, and the dishes were regular size. When we asked to take our food home, the waiter told us that the owner insisted no one be allowed to take home leftovers. We asked what they did with wasted food, and he told us they just throw it all out. We even offered to pay an extra $10 to take home our unfinished food in an effort to not waste it, which the waiter also refused. I find it completely bizarre that the owner would make this decision, which had to be explained to many tables while we were there during the course of 2 and a half hours. I'd suggest the owner come up with a more logical set-up, such as charging more per person or reducing the number of dishes on the set menu. Not allowing people to take home leftovers they've paid for makes no sense if you're just going to throw them out. Despite the amazing food, the owner seems to have no sense for running a successful business and we won't be returning.

I have ordered from here probably about 25 times. I prefer the flavour profile of Chillies over Karara (the other Indian restaurant in Barrhaven). The alloo gobhi (a potato and cauliflower dish) is ordered every time. Other favourites include the chicken methi masala, tadka daal, and the goat curry. The butter chicken is decent, but I haven't particularly enjoyed the seafood offerings. Also the other daal we find a little uninspired. The naan is always fresh and the staff welcoming and polite. It isn't fast food, but I have rarely had to wait more than 40 minutes for my order. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5, sometimes the dishes have very different flavours. Sometimes more spicy, or salty than other times. That said, the alloo gobhi has never disappointed and often I will order extras of it and the tadka daal as they are great next day as leftovers. Their hours are reasonable (until 9 most nights) and they have taken an order from me at a quarter to close and stayed open a little late for me. I will be back, usually once a week, and always when I am working late, or my wife and I can't come up with something for the family to eat that is quick and reasonably healthy.

PLEASE MAKE SOME ADDITIONS TO THE CHOLA BHATURA SET. Note: This is not a negative review but a mere suggestion. This used to be my favourite restaurant for Chola Bhatura untill the management/name changed. The attached photo is what they used to give with the Chola Bhatura. Something sour and sweet which made the strong spice of the food balanced. Recently I went back to the restaurant after moving away from Barrhaven, the new plate was just plain chola and bhatura only, not even a pickle was added. This was not very nice for our taste pallet. It didn't taste as good as it used to, additionally, my mouth was left with a bitter taste. The management should take note that it is the little things that make a difference. Plus the staff was pushing us to buy 2 plates when all I wanted was one place of chola bhatura with one additional bread.

BEWARE!!! Tonight the Chillies website was down so we decided to use Skip the Dishes for a pick up order. We spent almost $70 - normally when we order on the Chillies website our order comes with one order of rice per main dish and we ordered 3 mains. It even says on the menu that rice is included. We called the restaurant and they said that that doesn’t apply to ordered with Skip the Dishes. I told him that I have ordered before from them and for the same price I always receive the rice. He agreed that basically I paid the exact same price but didn't get rice and blamed it on Skip the Dishes - now what am I supposed to eat all these dishes with, without rice? He told me next time he will give me double the rice...what am I going to do, order double the food to go with all that rice?!?@! Plus the amount of meat in each dish was nowhere close to what we normally receive...quality of the food was not what is has been in the past. We are disappointed with our experience and we won’t order from there again/ They agreed that that's fine with them - so much for customer service!

We have had great food from Chillies in Barrhaven and have been loyal regular customers for years. My favourite meal is called Fish Molly. As described it is a coconut based curry fish. However last night the Fish Molly ordered and paid for was a significantly different dish. It has always been a green yellowish curry flavour with a distinct coconut flavour. Last evening-it was a RED curry... not even close! This now is my reason for 1 star which actually makes me sad to give. I took the time (as am also doing here) because I do care. I explained politely the aforementioned and was told the following ; “Oh Sir our chef must have made a mistake. Next time you order Fish Molly here at Chillies ; tell the order taker and he will make sure the chef cooks it the way you like...” We both hung up with that said, I couldn’t believe it!!! No explanation why/how/if they had made a mistake. No spirit of customer service regret...NOTHING. Many years I worked in food beverage and customer service.... this folks is shameful. I will never set foot in that place again.

I rarely write reviews. This one is more of a warning. After going through the lengthy set up process and 3 failed attempts to order for delivery I called the restaurant to place my order. I was informed that although it was an option online, there actually was no delivery service. Regardless, I ordered for pick up and was told that the food would be ready in 25 minutes. 30 minutes later, on arriving at the restaurant, the frazzled young girl at the cash wasn't even sure they had my order. The order was located and 10 minutes and $90 later I was on my way home to feed a family of four. The food was bland. The containers held mostly sauce and only a small amount of meat. I took pictures of the disappointing amount of meat in the $16 lamb rogan josh and wish that I could post here. The Naan was small, dry, and curiously almost perfectly round, likely store bought. The sole saving grace was that there was enough rice provided to fill us up. Poor value. Poor service. Bland food. Won't be back and recommend that you spend your money elsewhere.

Worst customer service. I called the restaurant to place an order and after inquiring about the menu and prices, I asked the person to hold the line for a moment while I confirm the order with my wife. I was told that he was too busy to hold the line and that I should come in person to the restaurant to order food even if that meant waiting there for almost half hour while they prepared the order. The man on the phone was very rude and impatient. He presented himself as the manager, so no point asking to speak to one to resolve the issue. Upon asking to be transferred to speak to the owner of the business, I was told they were not present and I should come in at another time. Of course, we didn't go ahead with the order but instead chose another place who appreciated our business. We have had similar experiences with them in the past as well. They definitely need some lessons on manners and etiquette in addition to cooking. Good luck to other callers and a heads up to not waste their time as they are too busy for you.

Can't recommend the place highly enough. The food is among the better Indian food in Ottawa and the owners take pride in their business. The chicken curry is fantastic and I have yet to find any main dish I haven't enjoyed. The deserts are very neat as well, where I recommend them even if you haven't had them or aren't familiar with them. I've been ordering from them for a quite while and whenever there's an issue they are always prompt to resolve it once it becomes apparent. I've never had an instance where the resolution of anything has been less than satisfactory. To put it into perspective, this is after ~100 orders, where they were sporadic enough and from varied enough locations that no preferential treatment was possible on the outset. The owners clearly take pride in their business and it's a family owned establishment local to Barrhaven Again, wholeheartedly recommend them as their behaviour to date has assured my continued business.

We have ordered from Chilles before; it's always a safe go-to for Indian food in Barrhaven and is always pretty good. I don't know what they've done since we ordered last, but tonight's dinner was fantastic! We ordered onion bhaji, butter chicken, beef biryani, paneer makhanwala and some naan and I can't say anything bad about any of the dishes. The bhaji was well balanced, the butter chicken was delish, the paneer was nicely spiced and the biryani was to die for. In fact, there is a distinct possibility I'm writing this review from the beyond because I think I did die a little from the spice combination in the biryani. I will order it again for sure! My daughter has always said she hates paneer but ate this paneer and said she wants to eat it again, so as far as I'm concerned, that's another win! Chillies, well done! Thanks for an amazing meal!

Let's start off by stating that this is not the nicest looking / fanciest restaurant you'll ever visit. In fact, it looks a bit like a take-out from the outside and the inside is very simple. But... The food is really, really good. I've been to three Indian restaurants around Ottawa, all of them have been very disappointing, but this one was excellent. I ordered the butter chicken, which comes with garlic naan (the best I've ever eaten, as it was crispy instead of tough). The chicken was juicy and very tasteful. The sauce was excellent, although very simple (I personally like some chopped nuts in there for example). The rice was perfect. This is a place you have to go to and just try it, even if Indian food is not your thing (it's certainly not high on my list). Props to the owners, a little gem in suburban Barrhaven.

Second time that we've ordered through Chillies and DoorDash and been missing dishes or have had dishes substituted without being told they would be. This time, we ordered prawns and they gave us fish amritsari instead. When we called Chillies, they said their chef had called us to tell us they had run out of prawns and would substitute the fish, but no one called us. We asked for a refund, but were told to call back next time instead and let them know what they forgot on our order today so they could give it to us in the future. We asked again for our money back or for the food Chillies forgot to be sent to us, but Chillies blamed Door Dash for Chillies' mistakes and did nothing to rectify them. They also left out 3 orders of gulab jamun that they did not reimburse or send.

I ordered the chicken samosas, chicken curry, tandoori chicken, and garlic naan; it was delivered by skip. The chicken samosas were great, with a unique twist I've never encountered before. Everything else was a bit bland and too mild. I would suggest adding options for spice level to skip. The naan didn't seem very fresh; I've had naan delivered from other restaurants that were nicer, but I'm willing to give this restaurant a bit of a pass due to delivery, regardless. Since the prices are quite low for Indian, I'm willing to give the quality a bit of a pass; you often get what you pay for, after all. I didn't fully dislike anything I got, and due to the few Indian options in the area, I will probably order again anyway.

I can't believe I have been driving downtown for great Indian food when it has been in Barrhaven for so long! Tried Chillies tonight for the first time and was so impressed. Their Onion Bhaji is not only beautifully presented, it is incredible. Light and crispy, well seasoned and very tasty. We also tried their Butter Chicken which was unique, yet true to what you would expect from this classic dish. The Lamb Rogan Josh had tender and lean lamb in a comforting sauce. All of the meal was above my expectations. Portions were generous and prices were better than other, similar restaurants we have been to lately. The young lady who served us was also very pleasant and attentive. Thank you! We will be back soon.

We ordered a spinach ricotta cheese kebab, kadai paneer and murgh banjara through skip. Although the food was alright, the murgh banjara chicken specifically said that it is made with chicken thigh, which is one of the reasons for ordering this dish. What we got was not chicken thigh but chicken chest. That's a misrepresentation. If you're not going to provide what is stated in your menu, you shouldn't state it at all. The chicken murgh banjara also tasted like it was marinated with obly chilli powder and salt, not as stated in the menu which is supposed to be with cashews and almond paste. The spinach ricotta kebab was too charred. The kadai paneer was the only dish which was alright and tasted good.

We got SICK. My mother and I got sick about two weeks ago after we ordered. The food was quite watery (Butter chicken) and the rest was alright. We actually both got the same exact symptoms right after eating the food. We called to see if they could do anything because food isn't supposed to make you sick. The receptionist was glad to offer us a refund but then quickly called a few minutes after to announce that she had changed her mind. This was at their Barrhaven location. We also told them we'd have to leave a review to inform others about this issue and whoever called us back the 3rd time politely told us that it was okay for us to leave a review after all. Customer service rating is below 1.

My girlfriend and I have ordered Chillies almost every week since we moved to Barrhaven last year. Recently their menu and prices changed. I understand why, knowing that Uber and Skip take a fair bit. However, ordering directly from their website is cheaper than using an app. When their menu changed we, at first, couldn’t find one of our favourites. We called them and they let us know the name changed! We placed our usual order, and as always, it was amazing. The portions are huge and delicious, and everything is so fresh. I know it won’t be long until she and I order again. The menu might change, but the food is always delicious!

  • Shalini V.

The food here is pretty good but service is extremely slow and lacking. Went with a group of friends and they took the order within 10 mins. Then we were waiting 30 mins before someone came and told us they could not make the veg sizzler as they don't have all the veggies. We were asked to pick an alternative. If we were informed right when the order was taken it was a different story. We had to constantly ask for condiments and water to be filled up. Giving 3 stars as the food was worth all this hassle. The sizzlers are especially good. I think this place is fine as a take out option unless you have tons of time on your hands.

My family and I moved to Barrhaven just last month. We love to eat out, but due to the obvious, we’ve been ordering in a lot lately. Needless to say, Chillies has become our favourite place to order from. Their portions are huge, the food itself is absolutely delicious (the samosas are my favourite) and even though we just ate dinner, I’m looking forward to the leftovers tomorrow. I can’t wait for this pandemic to be over so we can go eat at the restaurant itself and tell the staff how good their food is. Though it seems they’re reading these reviews, which, in that case: keep it up! Your restaurant is doing awesome!

  • Alison Pike

BEWARE IF ORDERING IN... We spent $50 on takeout with skip the dishes, and our order didn’t come with rice. On the menu it said, rice is included with non vegetarian meals. We ordered two butter chicken. We called the restaurant and they said that that doesn’t apply to ordered with skip the dishes. ??? I’m not sure why that would matter, and it was not specified clearly. We spent $5 for the delivery, but had to go out anyway for rice ELSEWHERE .... we won’t order from there again. The samosas weee good. The butter chicken was pretty good, but the chicken had a weird texture. The Naan was ok. Karara is much better!!

My favorite north Indian cuisine in town. via work, I travel to India at least once a year. I cannot tell the difference between the food served here and the food I had in Indian. the only problem I have this restaurant is it doesn't always open at commonly expected dates/times. it may save you a trip to check if they are open before heading out.

I ordered a vegetarian thali for the first time from this restaurant and found the 3 sabjiz tasted like leftovers. The raita tasted bitter and my mom makes better daal makhni than what I had. I usually don’t get thali’s and found the pricing to be way over priced for the value of what I received. The naan was fresh though. I would opt out of the thali for next time and maybe order something else.

We used Chillies to cater my wife’s birthday party this weekend. What an amazing experience from start to finish. Amandeep helped me select a menu for our party of 25, that had to accommodate various dietary requirements. The food was ready for pickup on time. The question we got throughout the evening was where did you order dinner from, it was really delicious. I recommend you check them out for yourself. It’s our “go to” place for Indian cuisine in Barrhaven.

We have ordered from here many times. Great food. So I ordered from here tonight via Skip The Dishes. The order arrived with no rice. None. This is NOT mentioned on the website. So I called the restaurant. They informed me that orders placed with Skip The Dishes do NOT include rice, as Skip The Dishes takes 30% to deliver the food. I asked why this is not mentioned on the website. She said she does not think it has to be mentioned. So for the exact same price, I got my food with NO rice. Completely unacceptable.

  • IN THE GRIZZLIES

Top quality food. I don’t think there’s one thing on the menu that I wouldn’t like. The butter chicken is my favourite. However, sometimes you may have to double check the order in case they might have forgotten something but it doesn’t happen often. Sometimes you also can call them numerous times and receive no pickup which can be irritating.

I would have given zero star to this restaurant if I had an option. Went to this place on our anniversary and ordered all vegetarian food. I happily served paneer dish to all plates. My wife realized that something is not right with some stuff on paneer curry. We enquired only to realize that they added Lamb meet to paneer. We were heart broken as we never even eat egg in our food. They obviously spoiled our anniversary day. I would never recommend any person going there and facing same experience as ours.

My first time ordering through here and not too impressed...I ordered Chicken Dansak through UBER for dinner on 18 May...Not sure what it was but it sure wasnt chicken dansak! more like a saag dish because no dansak ive ever had is green! Portion of meat was ok but not great...there were many pieces that were fatty and not uniform in size...the lentals were not all cooked either...def not a $20+ entree. Flavour was good and the BOGO Naan helped ease the disappointment of their spin on this dish.

  • R S

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The restaurant is in a strip mall so my expectations were low. The food was delicious; no frills though. This is almost cafeteria style eatery but a level or 2 above that. Go there for the food, which is as good as any high end Indian food I have had, and Indian food is my favorite. Portions are perfect, not too much and not small. I also love that the tray has separate compartments for each item; I hate when flavours mix.

  • Cheryl Smiley

40 min wait to pick up one order of beef curry. No one was at the front to serve customers. I had to knock on the kitchen door to get service after waiting 5 minutes while my meal sat in a bag at the cash getting cold. I was shocked at the price of the meal due to the small serving. It was so spicy it was inedible (I've had this dish many times from many different restaurants without this issue). I use to enjoy this restaurant but Ill never go back.

  • Gagan Dehal

Ordered few times now.Always loved the food. I am ordering only from this place during Corona Fear as i feel safe placing order here.Place is closed for Dine in and Cooks and servers are extra careful when they deal with customers.pretty much contact less payment and contact less delivery or Pick up.Ordered Butte Chicken, Chicken Bhuna and Paneer Korma. Food was Great specially the Chicken bhuna which has nice flavour of Veggies and Chicken Curry.

  • Kirby Evans

This is a restaurant used to have very good food but something changed late last year. The quality took a serious hit. Many of the dishes are now poor and every dish (even the ones that should be relatively mild) are EXTREMELY spicy, as though they are trying to cover the taste. Their nan bread used to be excellent, now it is rubbery and tasteless like they buy it at the supermarket and just heat it up. If you like Indian food, don't eat here.

  • bhavani G M

Ordered from door Dash, Kadai panner, naan and veg biryani, kadai panner was spoiled, naan was burnt and veg biryani also spoiled. This whole restaurant is a sick, all 5 star reviews are fake and added by them only don’t believe that. Very worst food sent rotten food please guys don’t order from this restaurant and waste your money and don’t spoil your health.

My husband and I ate at Chillies tonight. We ordered the 5 course meal each. It is all made from scratch and is delicious. BUT we had to wait a long time at the beginning. We went when we were hungry. Our mistake. We ate and drank and ate and drank, simply a delicious meal. There were lots of take out orders being filled so the chefs were very busy. Amazing wait staff, delicious meal. I advise that you do not arrive really hungry.

  • Ramon Octavious

I decided to treat my team to an Indian meal. I did a special order a night before for lunch the next day. I was met by the chef Amandeep an ex chef at the Hyatt Regency in Delhi, he moved to Canada a year ago. I must say the food was well cooked with the Punjabi flavour, so sought after by people from the Punjab provinces of Pakistan & India. At last we have an Indian restaurant in Barrhaven catering to our taste buds.... :)

  • Timothy Habinski

Very impressed. I stumbled on Chillies tonight while on a business trip. I arrived scant minutes before closing expecting to be turned away, but was welcomed instead. Service was efficient and friendly. I had the non-vegetarian thali combo, and it was terrific! In the past month I've eaten at six Indian restaurants in as many states, and this Ontario restaurant served a better meal than any of them. Highly recommended.

I travelled 2 hours in total to taste food in this restaurent. I reached there 20 min before, But there chef is very rude he told me to go out and come after 4.30pm then still I left that just because I thought I can taste good food. I ordered hyderabadi chicken biryani, but nowhere it has hyderabadi taste! Am from andhra and I know how hyderabadi will be...I can prepare delicious dum biryani than this.

Really great, fresh flavourful food on par with the East Indian restaurant downtown. I had ordered delivery from Chillies several times and never thought to write a review before, but this time they made a mistake and delivered some incorrect dishes - as soon as I let them know, they rushed an entirely fresh order to me. In this day and age, that kind of customer service is amazing and appreciated.

  • Chris B

The atmosphere was ambient, the food was superb. My wife and I stopped into this place this evening by fluke on our way to go somewhere else when we spotted this little gem. It was one of the best dinners we've had in a long time. Everything was very flavourful and superb. We will not hesitate to spread the word about this place. Try it... You'll love it! The staff was very friendly as well. A+++

  • Robin Spencer

Wow. The food is great here. Tasty and large portions. I had the Vegetarian Combo $8.95 I'm a big eater and it filled me up. Masala Chai was the best last time I was here but this time really weak so I didn't drink more than 2 sips. A waste of $2.95. I have ordered the veggie combo three times now. The menu says it comes with salad, chutney and dessert but it never has unless you remind them.

We did a small party catering from Chillies and were very pleased with the service and the food . The owner Amandeep was really easy to coordinate with and he was very accommodating with all the requirements . Both the quantity and the quality were great for the price we had paid. The chef’s special chicken curry was an instant favourite with the group !

Not sure what happened to the ' amazing' food everyone was raving about but we ordered take out Butter Chicken and Curry Chicken. I have no idea what we were eating??? Spices and sauces were all wrong. These dishes did not taste good at all. Naan was awful and the food wasn't even warm when we picked it up. From what food we ate our stomach's didn't feel great after.

  • J S

Been twice. Had Thali (combo meal) both times. Once was veg and once non-veg, both were great. You get rice, different portions of different dishes, raita and naan bread. A full big meal. You also get a sweet (dessert) too with the combo, but since I'm not a sweets person they replaced it with an awesome substitute, onion and lime pickle salad. Thanks Chillis!.

Simply marvellous! New Delhi-league restaurant in Barrhaven, near Ottawa! Outstanding taste, gracious hospitality, and amazing gastronomical experience! The Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan deserve an Oscar, a Grammy, and as many Michelin stars as you can assign! Reminds me of New Delhi league cuisine! That is the highest compliment that I am capable of!

Was my favorite, but not anymore. They keep changing their bulk food prices randomly, never really allowing me to know when/if it will happen. We aren't talking about a small change, more like a 25%+ change in price randomly. Overall the food is pretty good, their lunch special is a great value. Overall one of the best indian places in Barhaven.

  • Nathalie E

We have ordered fro chilies about a dozen times and we are never disappointed. We both agree the food is excellent. However, in the recent past, the prices have increased by 50% (dishes that were around $15 last time we had ordered were all of a sudden almost $23. That is quite an inflation rate, we were completely taken aback and moved on.

Authentic Indian food as compared to other Indian cuisine restaurants which not even touch the real taste of India. They provide great customer service to their customers. It is commendable that even if their place is so busy, they still manages to serve their customers pretty well. You are doing great guys! Keep up the good work!

Restaurant closes at 2:30 but took our large order at 2pm. Also took someone else's small order at the same time. Both orders were ready by 2:30!! And the food was fabulous!! We live in Kingston and have stopped here before and everytime it's worth the stop!! Spices were great, in fact, everything tasted perfect. We'll be back!!

For my family, Chicken Vindaloo is their hands-down signature recipe! Has a nice home cooked touch. Staff at their front desk are extremely courteous, patient while taking orders. I like to order my food with less oil and less salt and that's how it's done. Methi chicken, daal tadka , gajar halwa is just amazingly flavourful.

I got an order of kadai paneer and they didn't add almost any cream to it. As a result it was more of soup. Very watery. Very gross. This place was much better before they started saving money on ingredients. Update: why do you think this review is from 2 days after the order was placed? It was left right away.

Excellent food and service. We weŕe pleasantly surprised to find it. Don't judge a book by its cover. Chilled is hidden in the small strip mall beside the Sobeys on Greenbank. It is beside the Pizza Hut and M&M. If you enjoy good Indian food, go in and try it. You can sit down or take it out. They also cater.

Order veg Thali, legumes (Channa Dal) tasted sour. Seems to be that they served last day leftover stuff. Didn't ask any options for desserts. Moreover, half portion of bread (Nann) was missing and all veggies were cold.. They must improve their customer service and increase their Food standards. Thank you

Great food and service and large portions! Will be eating the leftovers for a few days. The butter chicken has a strong tomato flavour (to respond to someone else's comment on that note) but that didn't mean it wasn't a nice dish - just little different from what I've had before. Well worth a visit.

  • Dipesh Verma

The food here is below-average. I ordered one kadhai chicken and one paneer lababdar. Both of them seemed to be cooked in a hurry and lacked a lot of authentic flavour. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. There are better Indian restaurants in Ottawa with better food and reasonable prices.

  • Vedmani Sharan

Ordered takeout. The food was ready 8n half an hour. Came home. The food was good but the servings were very small. In fact, so small that two dishes were not enough for two people. When called them to report about this, the person on the phone was extremely rude. Never going there again.

Some of the best food available in Barrhaven. Always terribly disappointed in quality and lack of flavour from other local Indian restos but after trying Chillies, we can now rest easy in knowing that we can get delicious, high quality Indian food without having to go too far. Cheers!

  • Sona Sharma

We got catering order done from chilies couple of times now and the food has been exceptional every time. The quality of food is great whether you are trying paneer, malai kofta or any other dish. The customer service is five star as well!! Thank you chilies for amazing food in O-town

  • Harmanpreet Kaur

It is our first time visiting this restaurant and we were impressed by their taste and cleanliness. We ordered Veg pakora, alloo tilki and Amritsari Kulchas with Salty Lassi. Our overall rating is 4.8/5z

Amazing taste.. I am glad we found good Indian food in Ottawa, Finally!!!!! I am not happy with their business hours. Its wierd that they close between 2.30pm to 4.30pm.. It sounds wierd to me because I prefer my lunch between these hours. They serve dinner from 4.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

  • Jatin

Found this restaurant after spending 15 minutes on Google and my whole family thanked me after having a meal here. Especially the Pudina Lassi with Punjabi Thali, that was awesome. Food was fresh and tasted great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Worth visiting again.

  • Peter Bown

Boy did I enjoy the food here. The food is five stars. I'm giving it four stars based on the service. I had the lamb and my wife had the butter chicken. Great for sharing. Indian food doesn't always agree with my stomach, otherwise I would eat here quite often.

  • Nick Mancuso

Naan was good, butter chicken was nothing. It tasted more like sweet tomato soup. Almost zero flavour at all to be honest

I had an excellent dinner at Chillies on May 2. The menu item I chose was the "Fish Molly". Both the food and the service were very good. Friendly host; nice atmosphere. If you like Indian cuisine, then make sure you visit this restaurant soon!

  • Sonya Crites

Best Indian Food my husband and I have ever experienced! It came delivered to us hot, fresh and the quality pieces of chicken and beef. The chickpea dish was fantastic. We try and support local and glad we did here! Highly recommend! 5+ stars!

I visited this place along with my family last evening. As usual I found that the quality of the food is not same each time and this time it was worse then before. To the worse there was a piece of lamb ( ?) In the chicken curry. My wife is

  • Asim Ahmad

Very nice food and friendly service. Balanced flavours and spice levels. Everything we ordered (dhaba chicken, butter chicken, veg korma nan, roti, pulao with desserts) tasted really good. We would definitely return to try their other items.

I ordered Bhendi masala today. Soaked in oil and just 2 teaspoons of actual Bhendi in it. How can you give such a small quantity for $14 that is soaked in 10 tablespoons of oil. I can't taste any Bhendi as it's soaked in oil. Been ordering

  • Vishak prabhu

Amazing food and amazing service. It’s good to know some chefs still put efforts to make the curry the way it is suppose to be made. And not just by using canned stuff. The next visit to Ottawa I will be back for some more delicious food.

  • Philip Links

I am comparing this restaurant to cuisine in both Canada and major US cities. We had take-out including chicken beef paneer and lamb. The Masala was fresh and well composed for both cream and tomato based curries. I would only fault the

  • Jatin Dewan

The food I ordered was horrible. It was not worth eating. The gulab jamuns were pungent in smell and taste. The dal makhani and paneer tasted like they were prepared a month ago. The naans were not stone-baked, they were stone-hard. In

  • Krishanu DE

Your run of the mill average Indian restaurant. If you can't get a samosa right then I seriously doubt you can make good Indian food. Chicken biryani was more of a pulao with coloured rice than biryani. Veg biryani was supposed to have

  • Dan Hammermeister

I'd rate less than 1 star if I could. You guys apparently stopped serving rice with your curries? Too bad for me I guess.. Would have been nice to have something there to soak up all that disgusting grease and salt you poured into the

*SAND* in my food!! Usually this place's food is good but today it was terrible. Picked up lamb biryani, veg thali and jeera rice today, 7th Feb at 6:47pm. Came home to realize there is no naan in the thali, tried calling but it went

I tried tens of Indian cuisine restaurants all over Canada, India and ME. This by far the worst one I had experience, spices are v mild, chicken over cooked. Service was okay but not professional. I may suggest to avoid.

  • Ben Wright

Absolutely fantastic authentic Indian cuisine! Amazing service, and very prompt! My partner and I couldn’t believe how good it was. Definitely 100% coming back. Highly recommended to all, and especially Barrhaven folk!

Ordered from Chillies today, dishes were stale and naans were burnt! Total disaster This restaurant is hit and miss ... I ordered for friends who were coming over. It was such an embarrassment.

  • bharath murali

The owner of this place was very friendly and courteous. Have tried their vegetarian Thali a few times and I totally love it. Not so busy during the weekdays. Do try them out.

  • Hasanpreet Kaur

Service was Gud but and food was burned I think it’s not a good idea to spend our money for overcooked food. Totally wastage of money.

  • Jyoti Kapooria

It's always a great place to eat. Best authentic indian food in Ottawa. Good part is you always get freshly prepared food.

  • Jenn T

Amazing chicken curry. Not a mush but incredible medley of Fresh spices, etc, that made each mouthful a magical adventure!

  • om haryani
