im so disappointed in this churches location. it’s the last one on the east coast & since my local churches in philly closed i literally traveled from philadelphia to washington dc just to get more because they’re my favorite chicken spot. first of all i spent almost $60 on a family meal and the restaurant didn’t even get my order correct. i asked for spicy chicken & got original not only that but i was supposed to get family meal sized side dishes and only got regular meal sized ones. when i tried calling the restaurant to tell them what the issue was the first person to take my call couldn’t speak english & kept rushing me off the phone. the second, third & fourth time i tried calling no one picked up. a complete waste of money & a road trip

I use to love church's chicken after today's visit I will not be a returning customer. They changed the chicken . I received this huge pc of chicken breast and small wings... nothing like b4. I loved their spiciness well that's out the window had to eat with peppers that were mushy... chicken doesn't even taste the same. I hope the chicken didn't change in other states when I visit and hope the one in DC can get back to normal. The biscuits I can't say n e thing bad they were great. Lower yours prices for just some regular chicken you can buy anywhere or even cook at home

7/20/2023 establishment still requires improvement. Seasoning entirely too salty. Bourbon chicken on display no comparison when ordered. Chicken dry, salty and no wet sauce. $.50 upcharge for fried ocra. Front door locked due to incident not wanting to discuss. Only side window available for ordering and pickup. Will not revisit. Parking available. Place hit or miss. This time, chicken hot and spicey. Okra fried to perfection without being too greasy. Mac n cheese tasted like it was from a box. Roll hut and fresh. Will revisit. But, cashiers need to be friendlier.

If ratchet had a name and sold chicken it would be called churches. However churches is not to be taking lightly. The chicken might be greasy but it's on par with Popeyes and places well ahead of KFC. The service is a little bit slow but very friendly. They will probably be out of something on the menu but then again so is Popeye's always and equally ratchet. There's only one in DC that I can think of worth the trip even if it's just once every few months. Don't sleep on churches eat at churches.

There was a manager in the store one evening who wouldn't let a uniform police officer use the bathroom. I canceled my order, and voul not to go into that store again. I informed all law enforcement agencies in the area that police officers aren't welcome in this church's chicken restaurant/store. She was very nasty, in the way she talked to the officer. I am going to tell, as many people as I can, about this incident.

The food is made to order- came out fast and that is a bonus foe, because I only eat hot food. The jalapeño cheese bites with ranch dip- BOMB! The honey butter biscuits shuts Popeyes down all the way. The tenders were seasoned well and fried to perfection. The mashed potatoes typically of a fast food place. For my 1st time- it was good and I will be back- for another cheat day.

First time I’ve ever tried church’s chicken. It smells delicious from a far. When eating it, it has very little salt. While I know salt is not good for you but I’m moderation we all need it. Anyways, the chicken was good and the customer service was great. This location has good staff that is attentive to your order and getting you on your way.

The Crew Working Last Night 05/21/23 Around 6:30 p.m. Were Exceptional!! That Alone Warrented This Location 4 Stars. When It Comes To The Food. Churches Chicken Is Very Underwhelming. There's No Taste, It Just Taste Like "Fried Chicken" With No Seasoning, I Hadn't Had It In 10 Years And It Tastes The Same. The Apple Pie Is A 10/10. Fries 8/10. The Chicken Was Fresh & Hot! But No Flavor. The Biscuits Are Tender 7/10!

The food was okay. Chicken didn't have flavor to me but was fried hard like I like it. The busicuit was hard, and a brick didn't care for it.

Stopped here on my way to the Chuck Brown Day concert...the staff was friendly. I was disappointed that their restrooms were out of order, not sure how true that was...but given the area I understand. We went across the street to use the restrooms at McDonald's. Overall the chicken and biscuits we got were tasty.

I loved that everything was fresh and good. The employees were very nice and respectful. This was my first time ever trying church's chicken cause I heard some good things about it from the past. So I decided to try it and liked it. The biscuits were sooo good and different like no other, I just had to get more. Great job for the first time serving me.

Ordering inside the building and picking up your orders outside the window. It would be ridiculous if it's raining or snowing. Outside has garbage smell. Only branch in northeast. No choice of getting it elsewhere.

Church's is too gosh-derned expensive! WAAAY too expensive! There are too few options to spend less than $10 and the prices for chicken only without any extra sides is downright offensive. Fried chicken has lost its value as an affordable way to eat. Especially here!

Have been waiting for over a year for the wings to return to Church's standard quote EVERYTHING'S BIGGER IN TEXAS is a myth and those Itty bitty wings for the same price as the old wings is at this point ridiculous ..... Hopefully someone will read this and make the appropriate adjustments

There is only one Churçh's Chicken in DC that is reachable. Churçh's has been around for sometime and used to be a favorite. I was glad to stumble upon this one. Food was good

Check your order before you drive away. Our number was called, we took what was handed to us, and because there is no in house seating, drove to a location to eat. We got half our order. Only stars are for the delightful cashier.

No way in hell this place isn't infested with rats and roaches. I love church's but would never eat here or anywhere in the city. Huge rat problem in DC.
