I am currently in the market for a bike. I read the reviews on this place, and I thought I would stop by to see if they can offer me any service. I walked in, no one said "hi, just one second. How are you?". Or even looked at me. Regardless I figured they were all busy, so I started to look around until someone could assist me. No one! And I mean no one! Acknowledged that I was there. I saw the prices, an even thought they are decently price I knew I could get a better service and a deal at a different non profit resale. I was only in the store maybe 5 minutes until I left, without purchasing a bike. edit: Thank you Michael for getting back to me. I appreciate you taking the time to acknowledge my concern. I fortunately purchased a bike from a different retailer. But knowing that you have taken the time to address an issue I had, is reassuring and hopefully if I have any questions or concerns with my bike I can come to you for assistance.

NEVER LEAVE YOUR BIKE AT THIS PLACE. They’re CON and EXTREMELY IRRESPONSIBLE people. I dropped my bike for a flat fix. The guy on the picture insisted that I had to do other stuff which I said it was unnecessary. I paid $20 he asked me for the fix. I asked him for the receipt and when I should pick it up which he did not give me and said he’d call me. He never did it. Few months later I went back. When I arrived he said it was sold and if I needed to do anything had to be through an attorney that would cost me $100. He emphasized that his wife would represent me. I said well, I’ll do it but not with her. After I taken his picture he even made fun of me!

I came just to check out the store as a bike enthusiast who read some great reviews. Anthony greeted me immediately and even offered me a tour of the space, while going in depth about the amazing programs/classes they do and the community outreach aspect of this shop. The hospitality and passion he and the others in the shop had won me over and I knew I needed to leave a review hoping others who are looking for a shop to welcome them can find this amazing place. They seem super open to working on just about anything and even checked on my ride to make sure she was riding well, it was all very appreciated

Went in here with a friend, she wanted to get her bike seat height adjusted. The guy who ended up helping us said almost nothing the entire time he was fixing the seat. Also, he just lowered it and gestured for my friend to take the bike away. I had to be the one to say, why don't you get up on the seat and see if actually fits you know. The guy lowered it too far, but my friend was too polite to say anything because we wanted to get out of there, weird vibes. Very strange that the guy didn't help her find the right height for the seat. He was kind of rude. Definitely do not want to go back in there

I went hear to get my flat changed. Got it done. Drove about a couple of miles and then my tire went flat again. Called them up to let them know what happened. They said, most probably I should have bought a new tire cause, my tire might have had glass in it. It would have been nice to know, while I was getting my flat changed. I don’t blame them for the flat, I do however blame them for not telling me something was damaged on the bike (my tire), if that’s what the saw. Should be more pro active in letting customers know all that is needed to get done... while I they are there, not after the fact.

I absolutely love this shop. The people are super laid back but work quickly! I've been in twice: once to purchase my bike and another time to have a new tube installed due to a flat. The first time, they made sure that the bike fit me properly, allowing me to test ride it with each adjustment. Upon my second visit, I was out within 15 minutes and charged just $6 for the tube replacement (if you buy a bike there, you get 6 months of free labor). For a city bike shop, their prices are fair and staff are kind. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in the area!

Anthony & crew hooked it up! They took my stripped bike (only a frame & wheels) & converted the bottom bracket, upgraded the gears, replaced all the hardware & put on new handles & seat in 2 hours for $250! Thanks, Ciclo, for not being a snobby, douchey bike shop like so many others out there. If you want a good group of bike experts to educate you & build/repair your bike without feeling like an idiot - go here! I'll be taking all my bikes here from now on!

I went to this bike shop not knowing who they are. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. They didn't push any sales onto me, and were very helpful and honest about their products. They spent plenty of time with me trying to figure out the perfect bike. I would highly recommend this shop. They are professionals who know what they are doing. The whole non-profit side of the shop is a great idea too. Stop by and see what they are about!!

You gotta love a bike shop that says they're there to provide affordable, reliable transportation to the Humboldt Park neighborhood. These guys rock. They're fast, they're not overpriced, they know what they're doing, and they won't look down their nose at me because I ride a bike I got for $100 on Craigslist. Plus, they host the open shops at West Town Bikes -- a truly great environment to learn how to take care of your bike.

The best place to try, and buy a bike in Chicago ;) They are a great team, people around seem to like their fun spirit. I chose a new bicycle for my daily working travels. After a while I noticed a problem and I went back to the store. They fixed it for free. I've never had such a good bike, I'm so satisfied with it. So even if the price was high, the quality of service that you can expect in a neibourhood store is here !

Very bad customer service. Walked in and no one greeted us or asked if we needed help. We stood their waiting for them for about 10 minutes. Other couple walked in after us and they were offered assistance right away while we were still standing waiting. Staff ignores you while they continue workinG on their own things. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Had issues with my gear shift. Took it in for a derailer tune up. Got a call back after leaving it at the shop with a few more issues on the drive train set up. Informed me of all and got down to it. Came back to see they had re-rapped.my bars because there was an internal issue and fixed that too. Great quality and customer service

Eli and Team were a pleasure to work with. They fixed up my tire and made other minor recommendations I needed to consider fixing. I’m very pleased and happy with the overall service, efficiency, attentiveness. Thank you for your skills, care, & customer service on the initial repair and the follow up repair.

This place is so awesome. I love how laid back everyone is and it is a good place to go when you need repairs or a quick stop to have air put in your tires. I do highly recommend this place for anyone who needs a bike or a fix. Thanx so much guys for all you do …

  • C&B F

I went there to get a wheel fixed yesterday. They did the job fine, but NO ONE ON THE STAFF IS WEARING A MASK in this enclosed space. As a customer, I did not feel safe in there. I certainly won't be back at least until after the pandemic is over in a few years.

  • Josh Mattingly

My wife and I have both taken our bikes in for tune-ups/repairs, and every time we have been treated with great customer service and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. The bike techs really know their stuff, and the prices for service are incredibly reasonable.

  • Mairone Alemu

Definitely the new spot for all future repairs and purchases. Super cool people and Pearl made the experience pleasant and quick. Honest prices with a lot of community engagement events throughout the month. Love to see a non pretentious shop in the city!

  • Hayley Stokar

The people make the difference. These mechanics are highly skilled, and will never be pretentious or rude, no matter your level of biking experience. They are also deeply involved in serving the community, engaging with area youth through WestTown Bikes.

  • Noah Wagemann

Was told to check out the shop for my bike needs, and they did not disappoint. I called in to confirm the shop was still open on the day of the Puerto Rican parade. Popped in and got my bike taken care of in 10 minutes. Will return again soon!

  • Connor Berndt

This shop helped me so quickly and thoroughly when I really needed them. I got in a bike wreck this morning and they were able to replace, repair, and tune-up my bike before closing time. Still can’t believe they had orange tires in stock.

  • Aleksandar Dzeletovic

Folks at Ciclo Urbano are very helpful and a shop to serve as an example. Service is thorough and they offer good advice too. Everyone I've talked with has a good attitude. They impress from every angle.

  • C B

These guys are the absolute best! If you don't understand something about a bike they help you out. They know bikes as it is their lives. Support this great shop because of also what they do with youth.

  • spew

Too many kids, not enough experts. I would highly recommend steering clear for any sort of repairs — purchasing inner tubes, tyres, parts, etc is ok. Just do not let them service your bike.

  • Tiffany Javior

I love this shop. They're helpful, quick, and knowledgeable - not to mention the prices are insane! They've been in the neighborhood forever, and I'm so glad they're sticking around.

  • Luzmaria Kilian

Got a fair price on a used bike! The staff installed a kickstand on our purchase before we left too at our request. Will come back for any maintenance needs.

  • Emily Piff

Friendly workers and very knowledgeable about bikes. I get all of my bike work/tuning up done here and appreciate the community there.

  • burrell poe

They were really fast and professional. Great price and they helped me right away. Best bike shop in Wicker Park!

  • Tyler J

In and out for a spoke replacement and true in 20 min. Fast, great service, fair pricing.

  • Donny Martin

Great service. Always a positive experience here when I need help with my bike.

  • Shika Nino

Best shop and friendly employees that care about you and the bikes
