I always try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt in most situations but our experience here was honestly unbelievable. We have been taking our 5-month old doodle here over the past 3 months. About 2 months ago, he unfortunately fractured a growth plate in his leg to which he received a splint in our hometown until we were able to visit our primary care (Cityway). We took him in a few days later to which they did not replace the splint. I took him in 2 weeks later to have the splint replaced, to which the vet ran more XRAYS and told me and tried to show me he was having no improvement. After she insisted on consulting a surgeon we were told he needed a $3000 surgery to heal his leg. I'd like to add I am not a vet, I just trust the professionals know what they are doing and have my dog's best intentions at heart. They put the splint back on him and sent me on my way with no further information, which I honestly thought was weird because she did tell me it was essentially not helping him heal. I noticed immediately he was more uncomfortable with the new splint as it looked very tight and he was not putting any weight on it like before, but I wrote it off as he was getting used to it. I also noticed he was chewing at his leg more than usual but no signs of pain. We had arranged to get a second opinion on surgery about a week after that appointment, when out of the blue he started yelping and screaming in pain one night. We decided to take him to the emergency vet, where I was shocked to be informed that he had developed a severe skin infection under his splint because the leg was not shaved as it was supposed to be before applying the cast and the tape at the top was taped to his skin- causing more sores and pain. The worst was on his foot where his sore was so bad you could almost see his bone- which was essentially due to the splint being too tight to where his nail was pressing into it his skin at the bottom. We were not informed by our vet that splints apparently need to be replaced weekly or such things can occur, but the emergency vet informed me of this immediately. Had we have known, we could have absolutely prevented this from happening, but we are not vets so we had no idea, this is also our first dog. I was also shocked to find out that this type of splint was actually not recommended for the type of injury he had, but it was placed on him anyways! The emergency vet decided to run another set of X-RAYS on his leg to see any type of progress, although I told them it was not needed because I had seen the vet a week prior. After further X-RAYS and evaluations from an on-sight surgeon- it was found he had been "mostly healed" and surgery was not advised before a year of age. We did call City Way to express our concern of what had happened to which our vet was immediately very defensive and RUDE. My boyfriend was more than respectful when speaking to her, given the opposing information we received. After expressing some of our concerns her response was, "Well unfortunately I am not a wizard," which quite honestly BAFFLED me, given what we had gone through with our puppy and quite honestly could have been completely avoided and there was no accountability. She did tell us the reason she didn't shave his leg before applying the splint was because we were supposed to have him in for surgery this Wednesday. Well- this all happened on Monday night and the sores, which I have pictures of below, did not develop overnight. We really put our trust into this place as new and un-assuming dog owners, but ultimately it lead to more damage to our puppy's leg than good. The only way I could describe it was complete negligence and laziness. For a cast he DIDN'T NEED and lead to an infection and a set of XRAYS- I paid $350, where as at the emergency vet I paid $325 for far more information, direction, and honest help to our dog. We will absolutely be finding a different Vet and I advise anyone else to do the same. The only good thing I could say is that the receptionists and vet techs were always very kind to us.

I called this vet to make an appointment to bring in a litter of puppies for an exam and to get a round of deworming treatment for the litter of 4. I asked for the cost in advance for both services as to send my daughter with the correct amount needed. My daughter arrived at the proper time to be seen, puppies were examined, and the dr. gave the 'OK' for the prescription of deworming treatment for the litter of 4. However, when my daughter went to check out the cost was substantially higher than the number we were given over the phone. My daughter called me as she did not have enough money to cover the new price she was given. I asked my daughter to let me talk to the same girl I spoke to only an hour or so earlier that gave me Price X. I explained to the girl that I just called and talked to her about the office visit and the cost she gave me for the two services. The girl immediately became defensive and told me in short I was a liar and she never told me the price over the phone. I then asked to speak to the manager. The girl on the phone told me I would need to get a call back as there was not a manager available. Meanwhile my daughter and our puppies are basically stranded in their lobby until we figure something out. You can imagine how ackward my daughter felt as she stood there without enough money to pay. I received the phone call back from the Supervisor after about 15 minutes, and it was obvious from the onset of the conversation she already had a formed opinion. She sided with the rude girl who answered the phone and gave incorrect info, and even though this Supervisor was not on the phone when I made the appointment, she said the girl did not give me the price I mentioned. At this point, I was done arguing with them about their lack of giving proper cost information to someone over the phone who is dependent on someone else taking their animals to the vet. Had I been given the correct amount to begin with- my daughter would have been sent with the right amount to pay. The end result of this was my daughter was not given a full round of treatment for the deworming, which was fine as we could purchase more later....but due to their bad customer service I was asked not to return due to "Client to Business" relationship reasons. Whatever that means. If you are considering going to any "CITY WAY" vet please do yourself a favor and go someplace else where YOU and your pet will be treated with respect and care. God Bless All. Edit for reply from Fountain Square Pet Clinic/Cityway: It’s interesting that NOW you say a quote was/is on file when the day of the interaction nothing of the sort was mentioned. Please share the quote here for all to see. My daughter didn’t ask for additional services. We asked ONLY for deworming medication as we described on the phone. That’s not to say your vet technician didn’t try to PUSH additional services on my daughter. But WE NEVER asked you for anything EXTRA. You are trying to cover your bad customer service with untruths about the visit as to not negatively affect your business. Also, Golden Rule. Treat people as you want to be treated. Your staff argued with my daughter in person- and with me on the phone about info THEY gave me, and then called me a liar. You don’t treat people that way and expect them to smile at you. Again to anyone reading this review- you and your pet are better off in the care of honest and truthful folks that do not treat people poorly. God Bless All.

Communication is key. Attention to detail is key. Accuracy concerning our pets health is a priority. Pricing should reflect quality of service. We’ve used this vet as our “home base” vet when we cant get into the michigan street clinic. My dog had live moving worms in his stool that i dropped off promptly after noticing to this clinic. A stool sample lab drop off was $47. This vet is pricy, routine shots and exams can cost up to double to triple of other vets. Anyways, we dropped off the stool awaited results and because we physically saw the worms in the fresh stool I immediately headed to buy dewormer from the store. The following morning i received a text message saying the lab results came negative for parasites and to call if i had concerns. So i called because the lab results didnt correlate with what i saw. I was told by the morning desk person that i would be called back with more information about the results, the call never came (7hrs). So i called again, a different desk person answered and had no trace of contact regarding who would contact me, or when or even about what. So my “case” has been passed on to a customer service coordinator who i am now waiting to hear back from. So no communication whatsoever from a vet or lab tech who inspected my pets sample regarding my pets parasite infestation that I have seen. During communication desk attendants and Texting referred to me by my last name, is this trivial, maybe, but attention to detail speaks a lot. Mistakes happen and maybe this was one but, it isn’t the first slip up weve had at this location over the years. My dog has high stress associated with this location compared to our other vet and that itself speaks volumes. The two stars remain because the location is clean. The vets themselves seem to be gentle and helpful. But there are some bugs that seem to need to be worked out regarding the customers, pets and set up of this vet “chain”. The automated phone situation is unwelcoming and not fitting when you want to speak to someone at the clinic you called, waiting for a transfer, and is impersonal. **customer care followed up** She was pleasant and gave me the answers i needed immediately. Communication is hard, and the location is working on it. The added service of this customer care is a smart, And beneficial to the errors that were made.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My dog had an appointment at 7:30 for tooth extraction and tooth cleaning. At 9:30 they called us saying they had to do a blood exam to check for heart worms, and they did not know if they would be able to do the procedure that day. I was feeling confused because my dog had a blood test that week in preparation for the procedure. To avoid more problems we agreed to do the test they required. They told us they would call back right away to let us know if they would be able to do the procedure. 3 hours passed and they did not call us. We thought they could be occupied doing the procedure, but not really. They called us 5 hours later to tell us they would not be able to do the procedure that day. They offered to just do the cleaning and to bring him in another day for the extraction. Note that to do the cleaning they would need to put him under anesthesia, and for the extraction anesthesia again. Two procedures for something that could be done in one session. At the end of the day my dog stayed there for 7 hours and half for nothing. I found this disrespectful in many ways. Another thing that bothered me is that when I had my first dog appointment they gave me a paper saying the costs of the procedure could be $500 or more if something happens. My husband also got an updated estimate the week of the procedure. However, when he arrived at the vet to sign the procedure papers, the cost estimates had gone to at least $700. The clinic is not respectful of the clients time, forgot to do heart worm exam when my dog had the blood test in preparation for the procedure, and revised their minimum prices the day of the procedure.

I Live in Bloomington close to Bedford Indiana and had gotten a puppy that was 12 weeks old on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, come the following Saturday after Thanksgiving this Puppy had felt like it was running fever and was dehydrated I was afraid he had Parvo or another sickness that was going to kill him because he has lost weight over the last few days and was Not eating. I had called every place in Bloomington as far as to Bean Blossom , Nashville and Bloomfield but NO one could see him. I called Mass Ave Clinic and was able to get an appointment at 12:30 THAT day so I drove up to Indy and went to Fountain Square Animal Clinic because I had the clinics mixed up and Dr. Nicole VanDeLeest was able to send staff to check for Parvo that was NEGITIVE his temperature was 104.6 and he was dehydrated. They had gave him fluids, injections and started him on antibiotics, he had swollen lymp nodes in his jaw and hind leg. I Praise Her as well as the staff and will NOT hesitate again to come to Indy at Fountain Square Animal Clinic for care on my Fur babies. They are ALWAYS Kind, Caring, Understanding and take such GREAT care of your animals. Today Monday 11/27/2017 I am Happy to say this puppy is feeling so much better and back to his mischief self, and will have a follow up in 2 weeks. I can NOT Thank them enough! I Love Fountain Square Animal Clinic and Mass Ave. Thank You All Again.

I love The folx at CitWay SO much. I am a first time dog owner and moved with my partner and 2 year old Mini Aussie to Indianapolis this year from Bloomington. Our boy is generally healthy, but has had a long term chronic issue. At our old vet (who we did love), we went through a lot of testing and money -not complaining, these are doctors after all - and eventually found out our sweet pup has a chronic pancreatitis issue. Luckily we caught it before permanent damage. Anyway, we had been trying to get it under control with different diets but he still had monthly flare ups where he’d be screaming and sad all day. Well, we started taking him to CityWay and we have been so impressed! Our vet took us seriously from minute one and actually printed out the most recent research on pancreatitis in dogs. She identified that his low fat diet might not actually be the best solution and instead prescribed a high protein diet and daily probiotic. We started the diet in July/August 2020 and our boy has had *maybe* one flare up since(March 2021). It is so relieving that our little guy is back to feeling good all the time. The vets at CityWay go above and beyond and they truly keep up with the latest in veterinary science. I recommend them to everyone, their pricing is pretty normal and they provide high quality care Thank you CitWay for figuring out what our pup needed .

My girlfriend, Lucy, and I have been taking our dog, Mr. Buttons, a pit bull terrier, to Fountain Square Animal Clinic since we moved to Indy and every time we go it's been a great experience. The facility is very clean and cozy (in a great location!) and the staff is wonderful and welcoming, specifically Dr. VanDeLeest, Lucinda, Jessica, and Catherine; they always recognize our dog when we arrive. You get the sense that they enjoy being there. Dr. VDL is very professional and energetic and that extends to the rest of the staff as well. She is always willing to answer questions and is thorough in examinations. When our dog was diagnosed with a Mast Cell Tumor earlier this year, Dr. VDL & staff gave us a lot of information on the topic and made us feel better about it. Dr. VDL performed a successful surgery to remove the tumor and even referred us to a specialist in the area for additional treatment. He's doing great now! I would recommend Fountain Square Animal Clinic and their excellent staff to any pet owner in Indy; our dog is always super-nervous when he arrives but the staff always seems excited to see him. Five stars!!

I am always so thankful for the team at City Way Animal Clinics. We started out at MAAC and moved into Fountain Square once they opened as it's closer to home. The staff is always friendly and helpful and my dog never feels afraid to be there (until she realizes we're there for shots!). We scheduled our visit due to some skin allergies and itchiness but were able to take care of the yearly vaccines, get flea and tick prevention as well as a prescription for the allergies all at once, saving us time and money on another visit. We also received recommendations for diet and suggested procedures for the future but we never felt pressured to commit to anything. We were sent home with aftercare instructions and even had a follow up call to check on Peach the next morning and make sure there were no issues or questions with any of the medications. I am continually impressed by the professionalism, friendly and helpful attitudes of everyone we get to meet from City Way Animal Clinics and I'm so happy we chose them as our veterinariry team six years ago. Thank you, Dr. Phillips and team!

To have to report on a poor experience with veterinary care breaks my heart, as I fear for what other animals have had to endure here. My aunt has had horrid experiences with the care offered at City Way. She has brought her cat in on a several occasions, a few of which I was present for, and has been treated with hostility, disrespectful bedside manner, and little consideration for the wellness her pet. City Way makes you feel like a burden when you bring your pet in with questions of concern, up charges for treatment, and seems to care more about squeezing money out of clients than actually caring for animals. My aunt’s cat recently passed away unexpectedly of unknown causes and immediately called to see if she could get an opinion on what had happened. Dr. Squires answered dismissively and with little empathy, not even addressing or expressing compassion for my aunt’s loss but rather implying it was her fault for not bringing her kitty in more regularly... Mind you, my aunt consistently had her cat groomed and checked over by City Way’s recommended groomer. Really disappointing.

Cityway animal clinic in Fountain Square was amazing! My cat is older and gets very stressed going to the vet, which results in him getting a tiny bit bitey. This can happen even when he's in the best of moods , so I know it can happen and typically warn the vet. On his first visit to cityway, he was in a mood, but the experts at cityway took good care of him and gave him his vaccinations and physical exam. Because of his stress, they recommended we come back another day to do his blood work and provided a very mild sedative to help with his stress. We went back this morning to get the blood work done and he was in and out in a matter of minutes. He seems much less stressed and worried after this vet visit than almost any other visit we've had in the past. You could tell that the folks at cityway cared about him as well as making sure that their employees are safe, which I appreciated. I will certainly be going back for future visit and I know my kitty cat is in good hands.

This clinic is amazing. From the moment you call to schedule through your appointment, everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming. One of our dogs has major people anxieties so a trip to the vet has never been an easy feat. I am so thankful for Dr. Crow and the staff for making our vet trips a breeze and understanding that patience and respecting personal space go a long way for our pup. For the first time since adopting him (3+ years ago) I can finally feel confident in going to the vet and not have to worry about traumatizing him further. I also greatly appreciate the transparency and that all fees are discussed so you're never surprised at checkout. Not once have I ever felt like more expensive options were pushed on me, but instead have gotten honest feedback and advice with the option of more expensive treatments as the "if this doesn't work, then..." option. I am so glad we found City Way Animal Clinic and I recommend them highly to all pet parents.

After getting our first puppy, we had no idea where to start in regards to finding a vet. I ended up coming across Fountain Square Animal Clinic based off of a co workers recommendation. When we took our puppy in for her first appointment she was still in her imprinting stage and was quite shy. The vet tech and doctor both knew exactly what to do to make her feel comfortable while also giving her a proper examination and necessary shots. During the appointment they gave us plenty of opportunities to ask as many questions as we wanted. Additionally, after the appointment they gave us a call the next day to make sure she was doing okay and give us anther opportunity to ask any follow up questions we had. We've also already had an instance where we had to get her to the vet last minute and they were able to get her in quickly and keep us updated on her progress. Highly recommend as the doctors and staff at Fountain Square truly care about their patients!

i recently took in some kittens and was in need of a new vet, i am so so SO glad i chose city way animal clinics - fountain square! setting up appointments are a breeze, i love being able to schedule online. from the moment i arrived, i knew my babies and i would be properly cared for. the staff is incredibly friendly and will absolutely spoil your pets with affection and treats! dr. crow is fantastic, she’s so knowledgeable and is happy to answer any questions you may have. they offer affordable care and are upfront with pricing. i did not feel pressured whatsoever when it came down to the decisions i needed to make. at the end of your visit, they’ll provide you with a bunch of different resources and they are quick to follow up with you to ensure that your pet is doing well following your appointment. what more can you ask for? choose this office, you won’t regret it!

My cat had been exhibiting some very concerning behavior, but I was very hesitant about taking him to a vet as he had had some bad experiences in his past with vets. I took him to the FS Animal Clinic and I was immediately surprised by the professional and relaxed atmosphere and attitude. The vets did not rush us, and were very thorough with their questions relating to my cats issues. He was totally comfortable in the office and even walked around and allowed the vets to pet him, which is unusual for him! The staff took the time to narrow down what the issue was and gave me appropriate medication and counseling. I feel entirely confident with their service and expertise, and I felt as though they genuinely cared about my pet's well-being as much as I do. My cat is now in great shape and I couldn't be more relieved, I would highly recommend this clinic for anyone's pet!

I just returned from my first visit to City Way Animal Clinics - Fountain Square, and I am SO pleased with the service, the facility, the atmosphere, the cleanliness and most importantly, the staff. Dr. Crowe was thorough, as was the vet tech who did our intake. The ladies working reception were so warm and welcoming and knew the moment we stepped through the door who we were. They greeted us by name and proceeded to make a big happy fuss about my precious boy Grissom. I was there for a vaccine and an new-patient intake appointment, I expected to be shuffled in and out in 20 minutes, but the staff took their time, did an outstanding job, and didn't skip the welcoming pleasantries. I am so grateful to have found a new veterinary office so close to home. I feel confident my beloved pet-child will be in good hands anytime he is there for care.

Excellent care from caring people. My dog can be reactive and lash out, but they've worked with me to figure out how best to get his needed care without stressing him out. I've had at least three different veterinarians over various appointments, and all have been great. They also do a pretty good job of helping you understand what you can do to save money, like telling you about rebates on the meds you're getting, having a rewards program, etc. I typically go to this location as it's the nearest to me, but I've been to the Irvington and downtown locations as well. The fact they have multiple locations is great if you need to schedule something for a more specific time. Many of the vets and possibly other staff work at different locations on different days, so you're getting the same great service no matter which you go to.

Incredible experience with the City Way Animal Clinics group. They got me in quickly for a same day appointment when I was worried about my cat with hyperthyroidism. Every single staff member was professional, kind, and knowledge both over the phone and in person. They provide EXCELLENT customer service across the board and provide a truly phenomenal customer experience in every aspect. The hospital is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. They provide best-in-medicine services and technology. They go above and beyond to do things right and do them well. You can 100% trust them with your fur children. Special shout out to those who took care of me & my Luna girl: Dr. Morgenstern, Dr. VanDeLeest, Tasha, Mari, Miracle, and Dulce.

  • Iris Elise Easley

Never have I ever experience such rude people at an institution in my life. You would think for the price you pay here (which far exceeds relative pricing in surrounding areas/vets) you would receive kind customer service and your pet would be taken care of effectively. I love the vet’s here, they’re always professional and kind, however any other person I’ve encountered whether be vet techs or over the phone, they are always unhelpful and unkind. I’ve left here multiple times in tears because of the treatment of myself or my animals. I had such high hopes with such great reviews, but I will definitely be going somewhere else, and if you’re thinking of going here for the first time: it is not worth your time nor money.

We took both of our adult cats to the clinic and were so impressed with the facility, staff, and care that the cats received. The clinic itself is well maintained, has plenty of parking, and ample room. On both trips we were brought into an exam room immediately which was very nice for my more anxious cat. All of the staff from the techs to the vet were very friendly, had calm and sweet interactions with the cats, were knowledgeable, and provided several options for the cats' care. Lastly, both trips were very affordable and the rewards program is a great deal if you plan to make multiple trips to the clinic throughout the year. We are just delighted to have such a quality clinic moments away from our home!

  • David Brosman

This place is a scam. I called and asked how much it would cost to get my dogs yearly shots and nails trimmed. Was told ot was going to be $250. When asked what I was being charged for and how much each thing was. The answer I received was "The owner sets the prices. For those of you that want affordable care for your fur babies I recommend you not go to any of these offices. If plan and simple you can't tell me what I'm going to be billed for then they shouldn't be open for business. I called another vet and was told it would be about $150 less. So guess what I'm no longer a client at this vet. I suggest you find another vet one that is more affordable. If I could've rated a zero I would've.

  • Madison Baker

We love City Way Animal Clinics - Fountain Square! They are extremely affordable compared to other vets I have been to in the past. They specialize their care for each animal and family, they really take the time to listen. We had a very old pup with many issues that they help us care for many years. When it was time for him to go over the rainbow they were more thoughtful, patient, and kind than I could have ever imagined. Between the many visits of talking me through it, special cupcakes saved for him and the handwritten letters in the mail after, we couldn't have felt more love and genuine support. We have a puppy that goes here still and we are forever clients! Thank you always City Way!

  • Adam Moreno

Let me begin by saying that from the front door you are made to feel at home. We've lived in 3 states and have been to several vets. This by far surpassed any of my past experiences elsewhere. This place, the staff, the doctors are all very compassionate, caring and don't rush you out the door. Dr. Crow, Jenn, Aimee just to name a few. The gal at the front desk with the beautiful nails and eyeliner is amazing. Forgive me her name slips my mind. Our family is thankful and very grateful for the time and attention they gave our big babies. Dr. Crow helped us in any way she could extremely knowledgeable as a veterinarian should be. We love this place and have found our forever home with CityWay.

  • Kathleen Inman

This is the best animal clinic we have ever been to. The people are all friendly and helpful and Dr, Kurt Phillips is very kind and knowledgeable. Our English Bulldog Dozer was there for eye surgery a few weeks ago and it went well. Now he has another issue, and when we called, Toni ( vet tech) called us back immediately and we were offered appointment options and reassurances. I just feel like the staff there really cares about the animals in their care, and they will give you good advice. The prices are very reasonable and the clinics are very clean and I cannot say anything negative about them, and we have visited both locations at Mass Ave and Fountain Square. Both are awesome.

  • Alli eli

Extremely disappointed by the staff. I called to make an appointment for my male cat who having urinary issues. Instead of scheduling me and advising I find something sooner than weeks out they told me as long as he’s eating and drinking he would be fine. Fast forward a few days and I had to rush my cat to the ER (male urinary issues are actually a big deal). I would’ve appreciated a simple “we can schedule you but you should find somewhere that can take you in sooner because this is commonly a severe issue”. Because of this I wasted the deposit and thousands of dollars on my cat which could’ve been saved had I gotten him in somewhere soon.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would give more than 5 stars. We just moved downtown, after years of using the same vet, we had to select a new doctor for our children with hair. We were struck by the unique building hosing this firm and so we made an appointment. From the time we walked in to start the process, the people were amazing. Friendly, helping understand their onboarding process, offering water, coffee, we felt immediatley at home. I can't thank Dr. Kurt and his staff enough for such an amazing experience and encourage any and all humans being to experience the lost art of customer service.

  • Laila Canter

I made an appointment at 11:20, the tech told me the dr was still with her other appointment. At 12:05 I went and asked how much longer, the front desk girl told me should would check and said something about my appointment being at 11:40. I checked my confirmation email and it said 11:20. I asked the tech when he came back in and he said it was scheduled for 11:40 but there was a note saying it was 11:20 but was never changed. When the dr finally came in she just rushed through the exam as fast as she could. I made another appointment but not sure if I'll keep it.

I talked to someone on the phone about simply getting my 2 dogs (which were seen there last year) and my 2 cats..all of which are perfectly healthy..getting them flea and tic medicine. An easy $240. I get there and they refuse because I haven’t brought in my perfectly healthy animals. Thanks for refusing my pets simple protection and relief from fleas and tics for the summer months. Well done. Just as I myself, my husband, and my child do not go in for medical checks when we are well I of course decline to do the same with our animals. It’s ridiculous.

The staff here are all so kind and understanding! They love my pets Like there own!Facility is always clean and fresh!Never a long wait time!Doc.Crow was amazing to meet and work with both cats and dogs!My dog Sir'Benjamin just came home from getting his check up and shots and they all worked great with him!He loves there cheese crunches! And the peanut butter and cheese paw tray they brought him was so kind and adorable!I will always bring my pets here! And recommend to all family and friends!Thank you all so much ❤️ Sincerely Samantha Roys!

  • Andrea Carbone

My first appointment with the clinic went extremely well. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. I had rescued a kitten and was able to schedule an appointment the next morning. My new baby was vaccinated, de-wormed and had in-house testing done to make sure he could interact with my older cat. The follow up appointment for his boosters was a very easy in and out. The technicians are simply amazing. The staff clearly loves the animals and their job. Pricing is very affordable. So happy to work with a team that knows their stuff.

My wife and I adopted our baby girl Sheltie, Peggy, a week ago, and needed to get her in for a check ASAP. Enter FSAC! I contacted FSAC by phone and e-mail, and FSAC staff replied immediately and scheduled us for a next-day appointment! Lauren and Dr. VanDeLeest were SO very kind, gentle, soothing and welcoming to Peggy on her first visit, and I think that it is safe to say that we will be lifetime patients / parents of FSAC! We would highly recommend FSAC to any and all pet parents in need of services. Thank you!

I saw Dr. Crow for the first time 19Aug23 for my beaglet Daisy. I knew she wasn't feeling well as she was incredibly itchy. Followed Dr. Crow's advise and we got cell panels done to find she had ear infections and dermatitis. What I didn't expect was her pre-op blood work for her oral surgery to show elevated ALT levels. It has been very stressful, however Dr. Crow has astounded me with her breadth of knowledge, intellect and genuine care for my dog. Dr. Crow is an ABSOLUTE GEM! So grateful we found her!

  • Jessica King

We had a great experience for our first time visiting the clinic! I emailed the Fountain Square Animal Clinic via their main contact us link in the middle of the night because my dog started to get an ear infection. I honestly wasn't expecting them to respond back that same day, but they immediately CALLED me to schedule an appt. at 8:30AM that same day! It's a beautiful facility and staff was very friendly and caring. They even called and emailed to check up on Tank the next day. Definitely going back!

  • Katelyn Vaughn

We came across this vet in the midst of what we thought was a crisis, they were very quick to fit us in with a time that worked for our schedule. The staff, technicians and doctors were all very friendly and knowledgeable. They made sure to explain everything to us and made us feel confident in the care our pets were recieving, they made great recommendations and gave outstanding advice. So great we came back the following day with our other pet!!! We will continue to use the clinic as our routine vet!

  • Alison b

LOVED THIS PLACE!!! Everyone was extremely professional and friendly. They spent so much time with us to help us understand and help our dog become healthy. Our dog is a very hyper and excited around new people. They were able to talk to him and make him feel comfortable. The whole office was so clean and smelled wonderful. We will defiantly tell all our friends about this place and we will be taking our dog here from now on. There is not one thing I could say bad about this place.

  • Sara Helton

The worst customer service ever..called to schedule an appointment for my cat, the lady who answered basically wasted my time, she acted like she didn't want my business at all. She kept giving me reasons she couldn't help me. They don't do walk ins apparently even though it said they did. She wasn't sure if they could help my cat was what she kept saying. Luckily it wasn't anything serious. This place will never get my business and I'll make sure everyone I know never uses them.

  • Dayna Serbon

We brought our dog in because he was limping. They charged us $550 for an exam and some X-rays and told us they did not see anything visibly wrong with him. Two days later he was still limping, we called and were told to bring him in they would make it right. They charged us for this visit as well, frankly they did not make anything right. This isn’t the first time we have had an issue with this vet clinic. This will for sure be the last.

  • Victoria Rayburn

City Way Animal Clinic has been great to work with for my own dog, but the kindness they showed me when I found a stray was truly unbelievable. The vet techs checked for a chip, helped me understand what to do next as I'd never found a stray in Indy before, and allowed me to call with countless questions as we ended up fostering the pup for a couple weeks. I highly recommend City Way Animal Clinics Fountain Square!

  • Corey Boland

The worst bedside manner I have ever received. The way you treat a woman who’s animal has just died is atrocious and you should be ashamed. To shame an animal owner for not coming in more often when the pet has had no signs of negative health and unkindly at that. I would not recommend any person makes this place their primary care vet. I would most definitely not recommend Dr. Squires to anybody.

  • Kimberly Watts

Love this vet! Dr. V is so fun and friendly with my fur baby and me. I love that you can make appointments online so easily and they send texts and emails to remind me when my pup is due for meds and checkups. Also, as a part of a network, if you need to get your pup in quick but one location is all booked up, you can select a nearby location and they can help too with access to her records!

  • Tara Hunter

It was great, staff was very courteous. I felt comfortable asking questions and they answered knowledgeably. Reasonably priced. I didn't feel pressured to purchase additional services, they broke down what I needed and showed me costs and made me feel very comfortable. Place was clean and properly equipped. We will be going here from this point on. No complaints.

  • Ashley Hunter

This is honestly one of the best vets I have been to. Dr. Kurt is extremely knowledgeable, very reasonable and always has great advice and information. I was referred to him by Dr. Gary Edelson in Delray Beach, FL after relocating from Florida to Indiana. The office is clean, organized and has a great atmosphere. I will not bring any of my 4 dogs anywhere else.

  • India Johnson

Spoke with the receptionist regarding my senior boxer, he is 12. I was inquiring about a nail trim but she spoke with me so condescending and explained the location was a clinic. After speaking with the pet spa, I explained I was also pursuing a senior care plan, but would be choosing another option due to the condescending manner of the clinical receptionist

  • Andrea Precord

They do such a great job with my "difficult" dog. My German Shepherd gets a bad rap at times for her inability to get along with other dogs (to say the least), but she is always treated fairly and compassionately. The girls at the front desk always love seeing Gretchen and my dog actually enjoys going to the vet, as much as a dog can.

  • Tia M. Agnew

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Phillips and his incredible team at Fountain Square Animal Clinic! They combine expert medical care with a genuine concern for the happiness and well being of your four-footed loved one. I trust them wholeheartedly with our little fur-ball, and am so happy to have them in our neighborhood!

  • Amber Parke

As a pet owner I am always apprehensive about taking my dog into the Vet. This was my first time going to this vet as I had to switch due to moving recently to Indianapolis. They were friendly, they were very loving and kind towards my dog, and they were very informative about my dog, dog's house and suggested preventive care.

  • Richard Plummer

I want to share my experience with City Way Animal Clinic at Fountain Square. Their attention to detail was refreshing. I could truly since they really cared about my dogs health. They are a little more expensive than some but if you want the best for your pet. You can't go wrong. A what a great find. Thanks for everything...

  • Stephanie McComb

Have been taking my English Bulldog to see Dr. Phillips since he was a pup. Winston is now 8. I pretty much travel Between the 3 locations to get in to see Dr. Phillips, however the other vets are very great too when I can’t get Winston in to see him. I don’t live downtown, but worth the travel! Will not go anywhere else!

  • Drew Kincius

Dr. Shaw is always incredibly thorough, kind, and knowledgeable with our pets. Without a doubt, our furry friends have lived more fulfilled lives because of her. This week was my first visit to FSAC, and I was impressed by the professional and kind staff. I would highly rec'd FSAC for all of your little buddies' needs.

  • Laura Durbin

I recently switched from another vet provider to Fountain Square Animal Clinic and am so happy I did so. The staff is always friendly, the vet techs are so knowledgeable and kind, and the vets are awesome. They do such a thorough job and I can tell my pups are in great care. I plan to stay with them for the long haul!

  • Rachel Boggus

This is a great veterinary office. They always answer the phone promptly and can get us in with a reasonable time frame when either tech or vet apts needed. Vets themselves have been very good as well. Never wait long. Patient with our anxious dog. Front desk staff friendly and also have stylish hair and fun nails.

  • Kyle Cox

We took our new puppy, Zoey, in to Fountain Square Animal Clinic and it was a fantastic experience. Kurt and Lauren were both very informative on what we need to focus on in the first several weeks. They did a great job with Zoey as well and we look forward to going back to see them in a couple of weeks!

  • Karie

There is not enough I can say about this place! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! and so does my Rio! I've gone to 2 different vets and finally found a vet home. Thank you for everything that you all do and most importantly, Thank you for loving our animals. I will shout it to the moon how amazing you all are ❤️

  • Alex Antonetti

The staff at City Way Animal Clinic in Fountain Square is phenomenal! As a newbie pet owner, they helped walk me through any and all concerns I have had thus far. Plus, they are upfront and honest about the cost of things, and make sure to get your approval before moving forward! I highly recommend!

  • Jan Holder

Dr. Nichole VanDeLeest and the staff are professional, courteous, and caring. The parking is convenient and the hours are great for people that need evening hours. I did not feel rushed in the least when discussing my cats health. Dr VanDeLeest is the best! There are other vets on staff also.

  • Jacqueline Cheng

I've been bringing my cat for checkups here for the past few years. I love all the staff who work there. There is no wait time. Everyone is super friendly and kind. I love Dr VanDeLeest, she's super thorough and sweet! Will definitely recommend to my friends to get there pet care there.

  • Melinda Crusher

The facility is beautiful and everyone I interacted with was pleasant and kind. They were upfront about costs and very kind and gentle with my 11-year-old cat. I had routine lab work done for my cat and the results were in the next day! I was referred by a friend and am so glad I came.

  • Michille Rutheford

I had a very good experience here. My dog has been really hurt. Pulled a musle in his leg. The office bisit was cheap. Great people. Didnt do a bunch of test that wasnt needed. Gave him meds and gonna check on him in a couple days. And i also got a same day app whe i called Great place

  • chris farish

They are the best!! Dog loves Bee's! Bee stings dog in throat after dog swallows Bee! Dog stops breathing. Doing rescue breaths to dog until we arrive at clinic! Staff grabs her up and did there thing! Grace is alive and still stupid! She loves bugs! Thank you all for my Grace!!

  • kaitlyn wright

I've had several positive experiences with City Way Animal Clinics over the past few years. The staff is always friendly, accommodating, and knowledgable. Appointments are easy and convenient to schedule, and always go smoothly for my fur babies. Would definitely recommend!

  • John David Stevens

HORRIBLE HORRIFYING PLACE. MY CAT HAS BEEN HERE 5 TIMES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY NEVER OFFER TO FIX THE PROBLEM OR RESOLVE IT IN ANYWAY. MY CAT IS SUFFERING BECAUSE OF THESE MONSTERS. THEY ARE GOOD AT CHARGING INSANELY HIGH PRICES THOUGH. DO NOT TAKE ANIMALS HERE

  • Brandon

Been coming for years. Brought two dogs to them. They just care about money now. Gentrified and franchised pet care. I'd suggest finding a privately owned clinic and vet that truly cares about the animals and not solely just selling you the whole time.

  • BRENDA SHRUM

This is a GREAT ANIMAL CLINIC! Staff is so nice and they give so much info on our pet that is so much more then any other vet would. And location is great with plenty of parking! And very affordable! Only been there once but all ready love this place!

  • Michelle Walker

Great, clean facility. Staff is all very friendly and helpful. The only thing I don't like is that they take the animals to a separate room for vaccinations without the owner. Maybe some owners prefer that, but I like to be with my pet during.

  • Michael Stockman

Down town very convenient and walkable, great docs in a clean and professional atmosphere. They also own Furr pet spa on East street.. I have known several people that work here they are all pretty dedicated and love animals.. great locations.

  • Amanda DeVary

Can’t say enough good things about the staff at FSAC! Frank was well taken care of during his neuter procedure and his teeth are sparkling. The rewards program is a great incentive and we will definitely be back for any animal care needs.

  • Libby Legett

Dr. Crow, Jess and the rest of the staff were great! They were extremely welcoming for our first time going and in all of my years going to vets — this is by far the best experience I have ever have. They made the process of making an

Fantastic experience with City Way! Our initial visit was very thorough and the vet and tech went out of their way to make sure all my questions were answered, and our dogs needs were met. 100% will make this their new clinic!

Fantastic animal clinic - the staff here treats each animal like it's their top priority. In addition they are very reasonable with their fees and don't look to up-charge with unnecessary things. Would highly highly recommend.
