I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service at this location of Clark's Pet Emporium. Before I get into details I will say that the woman I spoke with at Menaul store was very pleasant, helpful, and apologetic for the way the employees at the Lomas store talked to me. I got a 4# bag of the Earthborn Holistic Adult Vantage dog food from Clark's and didn't initially notice that there was no expiration date printed on the bag. Obviously this is not Clark's fault but I found some sort of identification number on the bag and when I couldn't find a way to look it up online and called their store location. I thought that maybe we would be able to match the product number I did have to something on their shelf just so I could be sure my product was still good. The first man I spoke to at the Lomas location put me on hold for quite a while after I told him what I needed help with, to the point that I was considering hanging up and calling again. The man that did pick up the phone was someone different and I explained my situation to him. He proceeded to tell me that the expiration date would be on the back of the bag and that manufacturer's were legally required to provide them (which is obvious). I had already looked for the date and it wasn't anywhere on the bag, I get the product all the time so I knew where to look for it. He put me on hold again to look for the product, I was on hold long enough that I thought about hanging up again before he got back to me. The man told me that they didn't have that product on the shelf. I asked him about their other location because I hadn't been there before and wanted to make sure they were the same company. He confirmed they do have another store and very begrudgingly offered to check their stock to see if they had it before I called over there. I had to tell him that yes I would appreciate that multiple times before he agreed to do it and then placed me on hold again. When he got back to me he told me that the Menaul store did not have the item in stock either and then, with the most condescending tone of voice, told me that all of the expiration dates on their other bags were in large font on the back of the bags right at the top. As though I hadn't looked in the first place and was just calling to waste my own time. I ended up calling the Menaul store anyways because after the way the man at the Lomas store spoke to me I didn't feel confident that he had actually checked their inventory. The woman at the Menaul store did have the Earthborn food I was looking for in stock and even managed to match the batch number on the bag that I had gotten so we were able to figure out the expiration date. Luckily the bag I got is still in date but if it hadn't been then the employees here would have clearly just allowed me to feed expired food to my dog without really putting any effort into helping me. The attitude that I received from the employee at the Lomas store just completely ruined my experience with Clark's Pet Emporium. I've shopped at other small pet food stores for a very long time and never had any trouble with employees anywhere else. I will not be returning to Clark's anytime soon and considering the other reviews I've seen for the this store online I don't think I could recommend it to anyone either.

I used to shop here at least once a week. However, thanks to the new rules they have apparently snuck into effect it would seem that I can no longer rely on Clark’s Pet Emporium to be open until their posted closing times. So that means I cannot shop here again. My pets are too important to me to put their needs at risk against the senseless actions of some irresponsible employees. I work until at least 5:30pm every day, often times I’m stuck at work until 8pm. My shift starts at 8am. Today for the very last time, I rushed to get to Clark’s before they were supposed to close; at 6pm. Which, thanks to me literally running a mile, I did. I made it at 5:57pm. All I needed to get were 2 items at the front counter. It would have been a 30 second transaction. So I get to the door 5:57pm. An employee appearing disheveled and uncertain opens it. He says, “Uhh, unfortunately we are closed.” As I’m looking at the handful of customers still inside at the store I check the time once again. Seeing that it’s still 5:57 I say “Hi? Okay, but it’s not even 6 yet.” To which the confused employee replies, “Uhh, yes, but our sign has spoken.” He then points to the ‘Open’ sign above the door, which had been prematurely turned off. This leads me to wonder if the owner is aware that companies exist that actually manufacture and sell these things nowadays called ‘Programmable Outlets’ which anyone can purchase then set to turn on and off at specific times for any given day of the week so that issues such as this one can be avoided completely. Allegedly they even make door locks that can be programmed too! Incredible, I know. The future is now! Well, maybe not for all of us. I digress; let us return to my discontent! Stunned, I replied, “The sign? The sign is you, man. The sign is you. Thank YOU.” And I walked away. It’s sad to see that this is how Clark’s is training their staff on customer service. This unnecessary failure came as a direct result of poor management. Never have I ever had to guess whether Clark’s Pet Emporium would be open all the way until the posted time. They have always, ALWAYS, left the door unlocked until their posted closing time. Not a minute before, not a minute after. They’ve always locked it right on time. So today, this employee and those working alongside him decided to allow a regular —who has been a loyal customer for over a decade and who has literally spent thousands upon thousands of dollars at this business— to be treated like they didn’t matter in the slightest. By the transitive property this means you’ve all just treated my pets as if they didn’t matter. This employee, who lacks awareness, empathy, and any sense of better judgment has now become the face of your company. Congratulations. To be clear I was not asking for any special treatment. I was only asking for reliability and decency. Of which I received none. If this is how you plan to treat your loyal customers in the future then you can count on me to take my $2000+ annual pet habit to a more reputable and reliable dealer. Good day to you, sir.

Unfortunately I'm giving one of my old favorites a 2 star which pains me, seeing as how I used to love this place especially since it is locally owned and I love to support local business. They have always had an amazing selection and great service, ironically there service has decreased significantly, as if I were merely rating that I would give it no stars if I could. In all fairness I think that you should never rate a store based solely on one visit, further more I decided to write this review after a few progressively worse visits. So I called and said that I had purchased something but has lost my receipt and was wondering if I could just exchanged it, was told that it would be no problem and to just bring it in. No problem, even though the store is super far from where I live I do as they said. I arrive at the store with my merchandise in hand and am told that it is too expensive and will have to be approved by the owner. Still no problem, so I leave my name and number, and am told to expect a call the next day. A week later nothing so I call and they don't know what I'm talking about and am told to come in again. Get to the store and the same girl who told me to expect a call the following day says she doesn't know what happened but will call the owner. Now I'm told that they will get back to me by the end of the week. Still calm, so I walk around and find something i want and since I have two items to return one being the expensive one and the other low in value I think I will just exchanged the lower value for what I want and pay the difference. No, same girl as before (Audrey) says that since she is waiting on a response for the high value item ($99.99USD) that because of that she can't do any type of exchange even. So not wanting to tie up more money in a store that won't work with me I decide to cut my losses and never give them another penny. Not to mention it's not just that I was denied the exchange but how I was treated and how things where handled.

Went in a couple weeks ago to buy a jumping spider and they didn’t have the species I wanted. No big deal! The man who helped me was super kind and told me they’d get more in a week. So I went back a week or so later, sought someone out who could help me because they only keep jumping spiders in the back. He brought out the container and was looking in it to find her and couldn’t seem to. But he wouldn’t allow me to help. But from where I was, I could see what looked to be an old molt upside down in the corner and I asked him if that was her or if it was her molt and he replied, very condescendingly, that it was just her molt. Eventually he claimed to have found her and we took her up and purchased her. Once in the car, I looked for myself, and discovered that what he said was just the molt, was, in fact, a fully dead spider. So I went back to get a refund (or another spider if they had one). The front clerks were mortified! The manager went to find the employee who had sold me a dead spider and I waited for 20 minutes. And when they came up, I was not offered a single apology or anything else to make things right. Instead, I was handed a different spider (clearly alive this time) and told to be on my way. At the end of the day, I did eventually acquire my new pet, but I am severely disappointed by the lack of professionalism displayed by the initial employee and the manager, neither of whom were apologetic in any way, and frankly, we’re both belligerent and condescending.

Sketchy. Went today to buy super worms for my turtle. They said 50 pack or 100 pack. They grabbed this container that apparently had 50 worms, started to check us out and I noticed the container looked really empty. So we asked again is there 50 I’m there they said about 50, I asked again is there 50 since that’s what I’m paying for. Clerk continues to say well maybe not exactly 50 we’ve had them since November and they can be escape artists. So I ask ok can I count them to make sure? So I counted 13. They were about to sell me 14 for price if “50”, days t took us 5 containers to count out 50. So I’m satisfied at this point and a gentleman at the next register asked for the same item 50, the clerk was about to sell him a pack of 50 as well! Even after she had seen what I just did. So I warned the customer standing next to me. Which he was also upset to find out that he was about to purchase a container not with 50 as well. So sketchy and dishonest! Make sure you check you buys here. Not to mention manager or owner stood at the front while I was being taken care of trying to justify her selling 50 count containers that actually did not have 50.

I've always gone there to window shop since before I had any money. We got a couple of kittens there decades ago before pet shops stopped selling cats and dogs (they still have fish, reptiles, spiders, birds, etc.). I wish it opened prior to noon on Sundays, but in terms of prices they're actually lower than other national chains like Pet-S-Mart and Pet-Co. I always assumed they'd be more, but one time I dropped in when the other chains were ... let's just say experiencing issues, and now I'm never going back to the chains. They actually have my cats' food (Science Diet) for significantly less than either the big chains offered it. Litter costs more, but whatever, not much more, and I don't buy that every two weeks. Anyway, they always have tons of staff on hand to advise about raising of pets like tortoises, fish, parakeets, you name it. I mean, they're a full service shop and they love the help.

I like Clarks ! I go often for dog treats & toys plus I recently bought them a sweater for 20% off on them! Cute options! More options for smaller dogs though and mine are bigger /: I also was buying tarantulas from here for a bit but then I realized they are VERY overpriced on majority to all . Specially when it is a sling because you have NO guarantee of it being male or female and males die much faster and in general females are more expensive for that reason ... However these prices are usually priced for confirmed females or just ridiculous period. . Although I have my complaints since I am big into tarantulas.. I keep going back for other things and beside their prices being so high , everything else seems fine there. Staff is nice ! Store is always stocked with a large variety of stuff for small animals cats and dogs! I'd recommend to check it out at least ! It's great too!

After being told how pygmy corydoras need to be bagged differently, Mike still bagged one the normal way to make it suffer in its own toxins. I kept eye for a dead fish and sure enough, on the next day it died. Out of 28 fish I bought from you all in the past week, one died, thanks to Mike. Im an experienced fish keeper and I was denied more pygmy corydoras for my tanks after I called to inform him I wanted more after I showed up to the store. I went again yesterday to hopefully buy some more fish and Mike just left me hanging after I told him it wasnt my fault the fish died and I explained why my tank had the parameters it did. I was medicating everyone. I didnt even keep my receipt because Im confident in my abilities to keep fish. Go buy fish elsewhere. Once Mike catches wiff of you breeding anything, he denies you fish and treats you like a second class citizen.

Been coming here since I was a kid. Friendly and wonderful staff. The fish at the other location look better and healthier but overall still great quality. *update* store rep.in the fish area was off putting We were waiting patiently waiting for assistance when he saw another employee and told us to go bother the fish manager as he was currently busy. I know he probably just meant we could get help from someone else but he was also busy helping someone. We ended up leaving with no fish because it was getting crowded and no longer felt comfortable waiting for assistance. 5 stars down to 2 based off of this experience. Only because there was an employee there that was outright rude as well when we were walking through the store. Seemed flustered and overwhelmed.

It's nice to have some personal attention at a merchant and people know you when you walk in the door also. I needed some dog food for my pooch and was unable to get it delivered like I usually do. (I'm disabled, so that's how I roll, typically.) But they had a couple flats and some individual cans on the shelf, and when I called them, they got busy and collected them all together and had them waiting for me when I showed up a half hour later. If I go into a pet store at all, it is this one, rather than the big corporate places. I wrote a previous review that I was going to change but I could not find it. If another one pops up, this is the more recent experience. I'd say that if you live in Albuquerque, this is the best pet store to go to.

You all should not be selling turtles if you cannot properly care for them or get them vet care when they need it!!! I saw a turtle with a bleeding wound on its neck and another with extensive shell rot. Not to mention that pond is entirely over crowded. I called animal humane. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. I will never shop here again!!! Not to mention, last time I visited I saw a kitten I wanted to hold to determine if I wanted to adopt. The associate gave me attitude saying “we only let people hold the kittens if they are interested in adopting”. Should’ve just asked if I was. Spoiler alert, that kitten is now mine but you bet I will never be back for supplies. Thank god for chewy.

Was at Clark's on Saturday asked for 3 Cory fish. Went up to pay and realized one was not acting right. Showed it to a work who kept arguing with me. Finally I told him I really wanted another one he left with the bag came bag and said he talked to another the fish was fine and they would not just open the bag and give me a fish that acted right. Acted like I was dumb because "they are just stressed" never mind the others weren't acting that way. Wouldn't change it but kept saying oh if it dies in 3 days it's covered. Never mind I told them it's a 45 minute drive for me. So next morning guess what it's dead and so I drive 45 minutes or swallow the 10 dollars. So upset.

  • Faith Baker

This place is disgusting. They do not clean their reptile enclosures, many of them are injured or diseased. Their fish tanks are dirty and have dead fish constantly. I've bought a snake from them and it was infested with mites as well as scale rot injuries. They refuse to contact me or others about the condition of which they keep their animals. They have gone to lengths such as blocking me from their Facebook to keep me from telling others about the animal cruelty happening. I've reported them to the city now for animal cruelty and will continue to follow up until these animals are cared for properly. Do not buy any animals from here, they will be diseased or sick.

In the middle of a roadtrip and I needed a new Fetch-It kickball. I called both Petco becasue that's the place that always has them in stock where I lived last. I randomly called the place. They had 2! I was gonna get both but figured there's probably another me that doesn't want to order and wait online AND support local. So I left it for whoever that is. They have a tone if other animal stuff too. I suggest stopping by if you're in the neighborhood just to check them out so when you need something, you know what they have. Staff was super cool too. When I called to check they said they'd hold it for me. I didn't have to ask. Suoer cool people.

We visit mostly for aquarium needs. Shout out to Mike and everyone else in the aquatics room. Your all amazing. They take time to ensure that all your needs are met along with the needs of your aquarium. Very knowledgeable and attentive to quality customer care. Their tanks although only transitional holding for fish ready for purchase, are clean, never over populated, and well managed to help alleviate stress factors. They also offer free water checks so that you are set for success when introducing new fish to your aquarium. Great job Clark's!

  • Alex Keaveney

I've been going to Clark's for 10+ years and usually have a positive experience. Their prices run higher than PetSmart but they have much more selection for reptiles and birds. One time I was browsing the store and didn't realize it was 5 minutes past their closing time. The staff didn't tell me and acted passive aggressive. They said it was their policy to not tell customers when the store has closed. I don't blame the staff for that awkward experience, but the policy needs to be changed. It's confusing for customers and difficult for employees.

  • Joe Kendrick

I used to come here all the time for our dog, and they do have everything we like, but things have changed. Something happened, and now the employees seem like they're happiness is dead. It seems like it went from a neighborhood store with hard working people that wanted to help people, now it's attempting to get a corporation feel. It feels less streamlined and more just people going through the motions. I miss my tattooed salespeople and hugs. They made it a wonderful experience. I think we will find a new place that carries the same stuff.

  • Val Forrest

Was at Clark's a week ago and asked about their return policy on fish. The clerk calls on the loud speaker for information which he should have been informed about in training. I was then told they have no warranty on any fish. I read the reviews and find they only have a 3 day return after purchasing fish. I have never been satisfied with any visit to Clark's. The staff is not friendly and makes the customer feel like we're interrupting their work. I've had only one staff member answer my questions without making me feel dumb.

I was driving east on Lomas Blvd and began coughing pretty bad so I decided to pull into this parking lot, then I noticed a BMW 3-series convertible (the same vehicle that stole my parking spot earlier that week, I remembered the “IWIN” license plate) parked at a gas pump next door. I got out of my Pontiac Aztec and walked over to the BMW, while the owner was paying for gas inside, I arched the battery to his vehicle and caught fire. I’d like to think that will be the last time he takes somebody’s parking spot, but I doubt it!

This is store is always a great place to walk into. I have sold my hamsters here before and I knew they were going to go to good people. The staff is always very knowledgeable of the animals and accessories they carry. The staff is also always eager to help you find anything and offer information. And I've never had a problem with the temperaments of the animals because this store treats the animals with respect and doesn't ignore their needs. the cages are always clean and so is the store which is always a good thing.

  • Justin Richardson

This is for the store on lomas. The one on menaul is completely different. I'm a fish guy, I've tried to shop at this Clark's repeatedly to support local and avoid shipping... But this store is trash. The fish are always sick / dying / dead and the tanks are disgusting. I would never purchase a live animal from these conditions and I won't make any purchases from this store until things improve. They probably won't though. The one on menaul is a whole different story, great place to shop for fish.

  • Cheyne Postlwate

Im new to the area, and decided to check out the smaller pet supply stores. Definitely gonna go here for all my pet needs! The employees were super nice and really helpful, and gave actual advice instead of just trying to sell me as many products as possible. Pricing was also decent! I didnt find that anything was crazy expensive. I really appreciate that they emphasize that pets are living creatures and should be given a lot of thought before purchasing. I'm super happy I found this place!

  • Victoria Love

I love how the staff is always happy to see me and my dog and makes sure we feel welcome and appreciated. I also love that the staff in the dog and cat food section really knows the products and feeds their own pets the good stuff so we can talk options for different concerns...my dog has allergies to grains and most meat except fish, which make her itch, and my cat has kidney problems...both surprisingly common issues in pets. I'm a big fan of this locally owned pet shop.

  • Heather Angelica

This store has a beautiful and healthy variety of freshwater and saltwater fish. The fish department head, Mike, is always friendly and helpful. All of the other employees are very nice, friendly, and helpful. They also stock a decent variety of supplies for your pet of choice. They also have a good variety of reptiles, birds, and small animals. If you are looking for something special, talk to a manager and they might be able to order it for you!

  • Jacob Chavez

Love this store for all of my animal needs! The staff here is so knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are a little steep but you get what you pay for. They do tend to have better items than a big box pet store. My favorite thing about this place is that they offer an amazing dog/cat shot clinic every other week which I highly recommend. The prices for that are affordable and it is ran by a certified veterinarian.

  • Charles Chavez

We recently got into fish keeping and we chose this after going to PetSmart and PetCo but after seeing the difference in staff and products I’m not going back. We personally were helped by Mike who seemed very knowledgeable and helpful, definitely recommend if you want a larger variety of aquatic life, plants and products, also if you want people who know what they’re talking about. Super friendly staff.

  • J Hawk

(July 10th 2023) running out of reasons to get on the bus and come to Clark's for my bearded dragons needs. Used to be great now they're just rude. How do you not know when your next shipment of dubian roaches come in as well!?! .......Great staff. Only thing, check your worms! Twice, possibly more, I've purchased the 100 count of superworms, and only had 50. Odd too be EXACTLY 50 short on worms.

  • Carlos Alejandro

Usually you will find all your needs for your pets. They have lots of birds, fish, reptiles, guinea pigs, large variety of dog and cat foods along with plenty of accessories to choose from. Also they can carry at times cats for adoption. They carry cbd for your pets needs. Nice atmosphere, there staff is usually helpful. But always have found it to be a bit pricey. Also plenty of parking space.

  • Ramona Bird

I was really disappointed with my first visit. I was excited to bag my own bird seed as I haven't had that before. The seed was spilled all over and there were pantry moths on the seed and the walls. If i would have taken it home, I would have bugs in their food for sure. The bird toys were also extremely dusty and the enclosures for the reptiles looked dirty. I will not be going back.

  • Bethany Woodward

The most consistent place I've found for my feeder rats for my snakes. Never had any issues with any sick or unhealthy rats. Store is always clean and staff are really knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely would like a Clark's closer to Rio Rancho, but they're definitely worth the drive. I've use at least 2 other pet stores and they're not as good as Clark's. Definitely try them out!

  • David Fouts

Went to buy some fish and had a bad time dealing with your employees, I know how to cycle a tank i have multiple tanks you dont have to treat people like they dont know anything telling me if my fish dont eat the food i put in my tank within 30 sec is so dumb i have bottom feeders and plants to help with nitrates trying to scare people out of the hobby isnt the best sales tactic

  • maddie dunn

I have owned several different types of hamsters in my life, and when I went into purchase another, I have never been more humiliated. I put everything I needed to give a hamster a good home at the front, and over the speaker I can hear the guy telling his coworkers that he didn’t feel comfortable selling it to me. Honestly, I have loved this place, but I’m never gonna go back

  • Cassie Moore

I was able to get nearly everything I needed to start a new 10 gallon tank. 2 people that helped me were very helpful, offering advice and even sold me a glass top lid I was looking for but didn't see out in their main selection. Their prices are great and the selection allowed me to shop brands I couldn't find in chain stores, which saved me a ton. I'll be going back!

  • Shawn Griffin

Clark’s is a nice little change from the larger stores such as PetSmart and Petco. Recently bought a pet carrier and my daughter some fish. They have a huge variety to choose from. One of the little guys didn’t make it. Went in within the three day return and they gave us a new little fishy, no questions asked. Plenty of knowledgeable staff. Always helpful.

  • Felix Wallace

Clark's hires very passionate animal people, the prices tend to be a bit higher because they stock the store with higher end products that last longer than cheaper comparable items on the web or some big chain pet shops. Very trustworthy establishment, knowledgeable and friendly staff, great selection of pets and products. Would rate 7 stars if I could

  • amy barreras

Very nice people! I took a Gerbil that I found next to a trash can and they welcomed the little guy/girl with open arms. I'm so happy to know that the pet will be taken care of. The store is so nice and clean. Each bird turtle lizard mouse hamster and so on have very nice clean homes and they all look happy. Thank you once again!! God Bless

  • Jordan “Globmonsterjay” Lugo

Amazing selection of pet food and even exotic birds but when it comes to customer service you guys can really take it down a notch on the snobbiness you're located off of lomas for Christ sake with employees hot boxing their cars (orange Subaru) and on top of it your employees can't even seem to come up with answers to many of my questions

  • Amanda S

Been twice now and this will definitely be my new local shop! They clearly care about their animals and make sure to provide as much info as they possibly can. Every employee I've interacted with was incredibly knowledge lable. We bought shrimps, golden dannios, tetras, and live plants and I'm overjoyed with how they made our tank look.

  • Margaret Padilla

The staff here is wonderful, loving, knowledgeable and great! The animals are super healthy and very well taken care of! I had many questions and I never felt rushed while I was asking all of them! Thank you to both gentlemen with long hair, thank you to the fantastic evening cashier and thank you zeb and Marcus for helping me out!

  • Elizabeth Bainbridge

The employees were very knowledgeable about items in the store and answered all my questions, from betta tank filters to gluten free dog treats. More than that they all treated our dog with affection (he was thrilled). The store is well maintained and has a large variety of pets and pet supplies. I like the aquarium section!

  • Jessica Guzman

The pet store has a great selection with awesome customer service. Lots of employees and lots of merchandise for all sorts of animals it's like a real pet shop with birds, fish, reptiles, and yes spiders! A must visit. Great place to take little ones to see some pets behind glass. overall great experience. Thank you!! …

  • Christy Hales

I was really happy with my recent trip to Clark's. I was looking for a particular kind of fish, they not only had them but they seemed to be well cared for. The gentleman in the fish department was very helpful and seemed very knowledgeable. Thank you for being there. the fish seem to be settling in to their new home.

  • Mauro Walden-Montoya (Mauro)

Clark's is great for pets! Really nice and knowledgeable people, especially the fish guy at the Lomas location. He knows his stuff about fish and the care for our pond. Their prices are decent and you get a great level of customer service you don't usually find in the big box stores. People here enjoy their jobs!

  • Serena Wiswar

Went shopping for my bunnies and hamster. They have an awesome selection of food and toys!! All the animals here had clean enclosures and fresh clean water. No animals seemed stressed, good education on care offered, all in all the happiest pet store ever! Very impressed and we’ll definitely be going back!!

  • Tiwaz

I've only had the opportunity to visit this Clark's half a dozen times in my 20+ years but I visit the one on Menaul fairly regularly. Employees are always friendly and helpful and while I can probably get most of my supplies online I prefer to pay a bit more and support local small businesses.

  • vespenn

great variety of pets. actually cares about the animals they carry and treats them well, even exotic ones like snakes. got a baby butter morph cornsnake from here two years ago and she's doing amazing. best pet store to go to in my opinion. both locations. wish more pet stores were like this.

  • Daneen Koppenhaver

I do like Clark's pet emporium I was looking for a toy for my step dad's dog.... I had a hard time finding the perfect toy and then settled on a Kong yak!!! I think it cost $10 and Jack really likes it!!! Plus Clark's is nice enough to offer a military discount which I greatly appreciate!!!

  • Lesa Hovenga

Awesome pet store! Excellent employees! They have a great choice for all your pet needs along with many choices of new pets. I took our African Grey Parrot for her birdie spa day (clipped wings and nails) she did an awesome job! We will definitely take her here again! Thank you so much!

  • Jamie Lucero

I love this pet store. I have 2 guinea pigs and an army of hamsters. I buy all their food here. The have some amazing bulk food for them (and birds and bunnies) that is super cheap and the animals love it. Their animals always look well cared for and the employees are very friendly.

Love this store for their aquatics/fish department. Tujunga prices have gone up quite a bit, but I think that's par for the country's present state. I spent over $100 for 9 dwarf shrimp. That means their prices have jumped almost double. That's substantial to me.

  • Monique Ehlers

Awesome!!!! Wish they had a better selection of aquarium parts though like they used to. I need a tube and they didn't have a big selection. I will still return. Finally found spotted Dojo's I've been wanting for 12 years and a gorgeous Koi Angelfish.

  • TJ Lee

Nice place for a variety of your pets needs. It can be a little pricy so watch for that. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I personally like the African Cichlids for their colors. If you haven't been here you're missing out. Check it out.

  • Halcyon Iris

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. If homie says get a 5 gallon tank, not a soup bowl. Listen to him! They are not greedy upsellers. The staff will recommend the bestest stuff for your furry, feathered, skined, scaled, or tamagotchi family!

  • Laurie Begnaud

Went for the dog shot clinics. The staff was competent and nice. They worked as quickly as possible, there was a long line due to Covid 19, but it was kept moving. The store is well laid out and appears to be well stocked for all pet needs.

  • Jordan Mccurdy

They care about animals. I got my gecko from Clark's..Quality products. Always have great advice for my lizard and reptiles... They actually give you proper crickets and meal worms unlike mainstream popular pet shops. Support your locals!

  • Monique Romero

I go here to buy crickets for my kiddos pet bearded dragon Bella when they have them. That's the only downside of the store they are always out of the large crickets really fast but other then that the employees are helpful and friendly

  • Danny Young

Great pet store had a variety of items in stock for most pets. Great avian selection and the aquarium's we're also filled with both fresh and salt water fish and flora. Staff was attentive but also let us browse around too.

  • Nichole Ann

Great experience. We were very happy with the help we received from Zeb. He was patient and answered all our questions about what we needed to help with our turtle tank and choosing fish for our fish aquarium. Thanks!

  • Dawn Jones

Great customer service. I think they can be a little pricey and sometimes you have to wait a while because they are so busy, but I'd definitely go back and recommend based on their knowledgeable and great staff!

  • Douglas Alwine

Yoday marked my 6th visit to this store. The staff is friendly enough. Apparently they have a loyalty program. Never been asked to join. I suppose they are selective about their members. Oh well.

  • Laborum50

Very nice location. They have an awesome fish/tank display area. The staff was really helpful. We got some Phoenix Rasboras and they have all survived since bringing them home a couple weeks ago.

  • Frances Demorest

Waited in line for a shot he was too young for. The great news was that we were able to purchase the 6 in one shot and administer it ourselves. The staff was very helpful with the instructions.

  • James Napier

It is seldom that you go into any Pet Store with as large & varied a selection as Clark's. Tremendous people, places, Pets & supplies! You won't need to go anywhere else after going to Clark's.

  • Cecilia Cox

A bit disappointed with the staff. I walked around for a bit looking for something specific and was totally ignored even though the saw me. I did like the selection of tropical fish they have.

  • Rachel “ABQBirdLady” Scates

An excellent selection of birds, reptiles, fish and fur babies. I always get my bird seed here, Avian Choice, is far superior to any other I've tried, though a small portion of their diet.

  • Renee Antinone

Best, friendliest, most experienced pet store in town. I don't live especially close, but always go out of my way to get the highest quality food and treats for my cat here.

  • Jessica Lopez

The staff is always lively, friendly and ready to help! We love to walk around and look at the birds and fishes. We also get our dogs toys and our snake a feeder mouse here.

  • Andy Griego

The staff is always helpful and great. We always get friendly and knowledgeable advice and the right products to help maintain our tanks at home. Also frank is the coolest.

  • Christopher Andrews

Staff is very friendly and helpful...products they carry are not your common products found in most stores handling pet products...and come with a money back guarantee.

  • Gilbert Tafoya

Brian was very helpful when I took the male society finch for them to sell. The finch was 6 months old and very active. They have a very nice selection of birds.

  • Melissa Padilla

We keep giving them free fish that they sell for 6 bucks a pop and we don't even score a coupon. Would be nice if they reciprocated once in awhile.

  • alyssa saavedra
