UPDATE: 4/4/22: Nothing has changed, and on top of it now, as with everyone else, they blame their incompetence on Covid now! Sorry guys, but you were this bad before Covid, jumping on that bandwagon is not fooling anyone! ********************************************************************** Let me start by saying, some of the staff are friendly enough, but...... Ok, so I have had enough. I have been a loyal customer for some years now, but things have really gone down hill as of late (past 6 months or so). I have noticed that every time I go shopping a lot of the shelves are empty. Bread, fruit and veg, soft drink, it happens throughout the whole store and not just one particular department. I would understand if this happened at a particular time of the week, but I have experienced this at any time of the week. This appears to be happening now on a regular basis, (eg. I have not been able to get wholemeal bread from that store for about a month now). So, a few times I commented and asked questions to a few different staff members. I was told in a nut shell, bad luck thats just the way it is. In fact, one person told me that they agreed that they never order enough and this was to probably save on costs! All in all, the attitude of the staff I spoke to was that of "its not my problem" type of attitude. This store has become useless to me now. Yesterday was the last straw. I went there to pick up a few things that I needed for dinner, and what do I find, same thing again. One of the things I was after was potatoes. As usual, empty shelves. The only ones left were the unwashed type, but they were old and rubbery! How come I have not seen other coles stores have these issues? I have traveled all over Australia, and I have never see this sort of thing at any other coles. From my experiences, I would have to say this is the worst coles I have been to in Australia! I will be shopping at Woolworths form now on!

If i could give no stars I would because Im super disappointed with the manager and one of the older female staff on the register as she treated me like an idiot. I walked up to the older women on the register and said hey darling sorry to interupt but where are the frozen meals and she replied in a rude tone " in the freezer" well derr I knew that but not what part. So I let it slide then I asked "ok what Isle" and she ignored me ! I hate complaining but im big on customer service, so I went to make a complaint to the manager she was even worse with a horrible attitude ! When I worked at coles in Murwillumbah NSW 6 years ago we always where big on customer service as they come first! How she became a manager I have no idea! If I where Coles HR I would reconsider my management if they want happy customers. If I ever return to colonnades ill be choosing woolworths or aldi or any other grocery store for now on! If not them I would go to Hellett Cove. Absolutley horrified!

Good place to shop, some areas were out of stock, but on the whole, very good, we don't usually shop there but we were in the area, needed a few items, so we went there. Only one complaint, but it is in all areas of most 'Coles' stores, everything is way too expensive on all items. Much more expensive than 'Woolies'. But both stores are a bit of a rip off, as a pensioner, the pension doesn't go far. 'Aldi' are no better, or 'Foodland'. They must think we are all made of money. Only downfall of doing grocery shopping, one needs to save up their money, to go grocery shopping. Better still, go get a loan from the bank, or credit union, then go shopping. Put ourselves in debt, pay a loan off, sign on the dotted line. It is ridiculous what things cost, and the sad thing is, they keep expecting us to pay these costs continually. A nice store to shop in.

Talk about shafting your customers I went to bye coles labeled bake beans 420 grms for $1.10 instead i picked up a tin of coles labeled 425 grms tin of baked beans which were packed on top of the 420 grms and they want a $150 thats an extra 5 grms for 40 cents only difference in labels is the beens are more visible, and follow up from that I dropped my $5 beside my self serve checkout when i went to exchange the tin on the shelf come back to check out could not find my $5 after a couple of minutes the lady asked me if everything was alright, i said i have lost my $5 then she goes oh i picked up $5 off the floor there and put it behind the counter, i was the only person there In self serve who had been in self serve the shop just opened i was the first and only one in check out

I would rate this supermarket chain as zero if I could and especially Noarlunga store. Horribly long time waiting at their checkouts as there are not many open for availability; double scanning items; twice ended up having items I never picked up in my bag and on my tab (probably from next customer in line); bakery got all squashed; Coles vouchers aren't scanned by their staff; poor packaging of Coles line cookies so it just falls apart in your bag at best. Tried talk to their manager, she just would not listened. Their self service checkout has limitation of 12 items.

On Wednesday 21st. July in the afternoon my wife & I went to the colonnades store & when collecting a trolley accidentally left a shopping bag on the floor filled with expensive purchases. A Coles employee named JORDI found this bag & handed it in. Much to my wife's incredible relief the bag was returned to her. It is because of JORDI'S honesty & outstanding customer service we were saved from a large financial loss. Management needs to acknowledge this man's great service to the store & the customers. An extremely grateful Tony & Margaret

I was very disappointed today as I went to get some grapes from your store and everyone I picked up there was mold in the plastic container these were the black grapes. There were 3 of your workers near by and I showed one of them the others laughed and made stupid comments like look after your grapes to the employe that I spoke to .Then he said oh these only come in today and left them all on the shelf for the next person to buy very disappointed Coles .Will be going else where for my fruit and veg.

  • Desi Vlogs

After waiting 5 minutes for the two coles employee's to stop talking at the front counter a lady with a trolly load pulled into the 12 item or less to be greeted and served straight away lucky the employee was called away mid trolley 'cos a line was forming and she hadent noticed me untill this point..... after a while she returned and finished her customer then turned to me...... 0 stars guys 5 minutes of chit chat .... i made noise with keys and all sorts to get there attention grrrrr

Noarlunga. Not my normal shop. Parking is not easy and again no undercover. It gets so hot. Shop large and I found bitty, hard to find items. At the moment like all shops stock is a problem. 2nd visit. N.y.e. very busy just very bitty. Bread in 3 different areas. Hard to find items. Fast self service check out. 3rd visit. School holidays busy with children running around. Still problem with stock and shop is just spread out with no sense of purpose for were things are.

Female staff member on Friday October 6th 2023 around 5pm. Was a bit rude. At first she wouldn't stop staring at a guy who went shopping with me. When it came to serving me next, she was arrogant. She tried to tell me I only had $3.00 for my product, for which I had the required $4•80 that I was still removing from my pocket. I knew the amount of coins I needed to pay for the classic chocolate 2 litte milk that retailed on special for $4.80.

I always get everything in need in one place.. Even with the covid impacts around the country shelves are still well stocked. great job to all... Still doing a great job with there stocked products.. Well done to the staff here.. Still ok to shop here, but have found myself totally avoiding the self-service area like the plauge.. I don't know why just got a hinky feeling on this tech ATM.. oh yeah i know I'm a crazy nut job.. lol..

I'm always having problems with the deli department, one young black haired girl. Everytime I ask for some ham/salami to be sliced fresh, I get rolling of the eyes, huffs and puffs. So I don't go to the deli at coles anymore. 5 stars because one of the front counter workers, Holly her name is, went above and beyond to help me out. You are a staple Holly, of what every coles employee should be like.

Had my phone die with my Apple wallet on it right in the middle of my pre-Christmas grocery shop on the 23rd December. The staff were so lovely and allowed me to purchase a charger to use with my groceries and let me charge my phone so I didn’t have to leave a whole trolley of shopping to go home and get my bank card. So lovely in such a hectic time of year and in such an embarrassing situation!

  • Robin

Tuesday afternoon and lots of shelves nearly empty . Also staff in full flight changing shelf price tickets , ( should have been maning checkouts) why is this not done at night whilst filling away from customers eyes has me baffled . Store looks ready for a serious upgrade , a dark dingy space. Minimial staff on checkouts made for longer wait than needed .

  • chris sams

Arrived to a closed store 7:15am Wednesday morning (not a public holiday)staff in the store working, clearly able to see around 30 customers waiting at both entrances, attempted to call the store however phone rang out. Refused to open despite their opening tone being 7am. Went down the road to another Comes, open and great service.

  • Chris

Never answer their phones. Bought basa fish fillets, Opened the vacuum sealed pack when I arrived home and it smelt rotten despite being within the expiry. Coles and woolworths fresh produce around the southern suburbs has gone downhill lately. Try fresh fruit and veg stores instead, I find the food doesn't go bad as quick.

  • Donna Brown

I was quite disappointed, not much of what I wanted at Coles colonnades. At checkout only one till with a checkout person and a mighty long queue. Went through self-service and not enough room to place all the items from my trolley, had to get second trolley and ended up paying 3 individual payments for my shopping

  • clarissa jennings

i always come to this coles because of the lovely deli girls. portia and emily always provide me with the best service and the yummiest semi dried tomatos! sometimes i even ask them when they’re working next so i can organise my weekly food shops around their roster LOL keep up the good customer service girls

  • Ray Warren

A good supermarket with an extensive range. I like the range of ready to cook and heat 'n' eat meals better than other supermarkets. And although they have self service checkouts there were enough staffed checkouts for the number of people in the store. There's easy access from the huge Colonnades car park.

Have been shopping at Coles Noarlunga for over 25 years now. The staff are always polite and helpful. I'm loving the bonus points for cookware and various other kitchen items. I really like how their half price items are at the end of aisles, easy to find. The Cole's magazine is full of delicious recipes.

  • shane brand

Just another Coles, nothing special or bad to say about this place. One of the older female staff members is a grumpy old duck. Seems like she is always in a bad mood and very rude to customers. I was going to complain about her conduct one day but couldn't be bothered.

  • Ciresse McDonald

Take someone to do their shopping at Coles, guarantee every time, we can only get half of what's on their list and end up shopping elsewhere for the other items because Coles Noarlunga shelves are never stocked!!!! Looks like they are closing down some days grrrrr

  • Suzan Pang

Need more check out counter open. The staff work trolley is all over the place, really hard to walk pass when busy times. Sometimes the staff just leave it in there and sometimes 3 staff trolley in one place. So hope this comment's will improved them.

  • D “Cooksta” Cooksta

Got everything i need, good shop, quick service an I never get my bag searched like Woolworths does Everytime I go in there,,IV never once been asked to show my personal stuff there an only once did I have badservice with them ,,so good altogether!

  • Frances

I like this Coles, it's very big and has a few sections my local doesn't have. Like clothes and marketplace stuff. Also a dog treat pick and mix! I asked for some help last time i was here and the girl went above and beyond to help me out.

  • Bruce Mildren

Just because they don't sell something in the millions per week they take it off irrespective at the complaints then Jack the price up of cheese by $3 a kilo and have two checkout people covering eight checkouts. Long live Aldi.

  • RTV

Its your average Coles the staff was very helpful and nice and the people shopping there are pretty nice to however it's got nothing to stand out from any other Coles in fact this Coles lacks some items still worth going to.

  • jeannette gansberg

I really like the new look. Especially the check outside. I have been going to this store for 16 years and knew where everything was but now it is a bit of a adventure finding where everything is all over again. …

  • Tony Watson

Good range of goods as it should be!! Don't expect to get out very quickly, there's never enough check outs open, that's my biggest problem. The staff are very good, very helpful and friendly, getting out is not good.

  • Anna Maria Erceg

Great shopping complex located downstairs in the old section very easy to get to from car park. Lots of free parking. Always has what you need in stock. Very clean and excellent customer service thank you …

  • Susane Hlava

Coles Noarlunga is convenient when doing other errands in the centre. Not my first choice. I find the quality of fruit and veg to be of mediocre quality. Always disappointed, don't know what the reason is

  • kerry kennedy

I find that since their upgrade, I am having to go to other supermarkets to get the things I need because they no longer carry them. They are also often out of products they are advertising as on special.

  • K Chud

Prefer to shop here than my local coles as there is more stock available then local coles. Plus i know the coles fresh baked bread is that days and i highly suggest it, if you're allergic to soy products.

  • michael russell

amazing prices, amazing products. but the one thing that ruined it all was the service. i went up to some guy. not sure of the name, started with a j. and i asked where sodium chloride was and he said kys

  • Catrina Varcoe

I would like to see much more Australian products in Coles. In all stores actually. Coles has added some extra hot food take away Some small soup take away has been added to heat and eat at home or work.

  • Karen Robinson

Went to buy some fresh vegetables. Every head of broccoli had a brown tinge to it, there were no avocados, no one around to ask for help, and the vegetables were all just lack lustre. Very disappointed

  • Ann Page

This is my local supermarket and the staff are always helpful. It is however, a pity that the butcher is no longer there as they were very helpful. I now buy my meat at the butchers in the town

  • Bill Hollis

Staff are very quick to pounce on people not paying but get hauled back to the shop full congratulation to the Staff, Oh! the shop is always flat out and happy to help with a shopping problem.

  • Meredy Andrew

Don't shop there on a Thursday night. More interested in stocking shelves than opening checkouts to serve customers. Just expect customers to wait to Dave wages on night fill staff.

  • Koul N-P

arrived greeted by a nice young man named jonathan, beautiful customer service and the embodiment of what a perfect employee should be! (P.S told me where the moisturizer was)

  • Sarah R

Clean store. Not too sure about the layout changes, after not shopping here for over 12 months and coming in the layout is odd. But great range of products and helpful staff.

  • Heather Kenny

Popped in very early this morning (about 11.10am Sunday) was able to whip around quickly get everything on my list and out through checkout by 11.22am . .my kind of shopping!

  • Bruce Birch

Coles Noarlunga is a great place to shop. I do believe we should be giving more back to the farmers. Let's all donate to our Fantastic Workers on the Land. Thank You Jesus!

  • SJ

Coles need to realise that rockmelons DON'T ripen once picked..so stop selling unripe fruit & ripping customers off! Take more care with quality when buying fresh produce.

  • Margaret Smith

Clean, well planned store. Good selection of quality fresh produce. My 'go to' grocery store.. Downside...towering shelves!! At 80 yrs of age & 5' nothing I struggle!!

  • Gary Fuller

No trolleys in bays, empty stock trolleys left in aisles blocking access and staff at checkouts more interested in talking about social life than serving customers.

  • Annemarie Moon

Just a great place to shop , getting together with a few friends and making it a great day to shop and getting together for a takeaway coffee and something to eat.

  • Liisa Grace Baun

Located at the end of the shopping centre where parking is available. Easy to navigate around the store. Products are well spaced out. Staff are all lovely.

  • Julie Dobson-Gade

To much stuff in the way you have to walk around different stuff. Couldn't find a lot of stuff I needed and a bit expensive. But for a small shop not to bad

  • Jennifer Trewin

Fresh bakery and almost all food items including meats, fresh whole foods, and a variety of choices to be found in Coles. Amazing cakes also.

  • Adam Lee

Its a bit disappointing these days when you shop cant get what you need lots of items out of stock or they just dont stock what you need

  • Val Borthwick

Huge selection of goods but only clothes for women. Would take me too long to do a weekly shop as I prefer a smaller shop like Drakes.

  • Tony R

I normally don't shop at Coles, but when I do use this particular branch, I always find the staff both cheery and very helpfully.

  • Mish

Was able to move freely within store at my own pace, finding what I wanted. Aisles were a good space apart did not feel cramped.

  • Paul Lodge
