Zero customer service skills. Brought my car in for work on Tues 10:30AM. Said it'll be finished today (Wednesday) I rang them up myself at 3PM today to be told my vehicle hasn't even been started on and they won't be able to begin until Friday earliest as one of the mechanic's has gone on holiday and a lift has broken, which I wouldn't have a problem with, if they rang me yesterday and told me this and gave me the option to collect my car. They just left me in the dark until I chased after them to see where my vehicle was. They wouldn't of bothered ringing me either until I chased after them. Completely wasted two days and I've wasted money on Taxi's thinking my car would be ready today. Edit in response to owners reply: I have no voice mails left on my phone at all. And you should of rang me yesterday. Previous customers may well have a positive experience with you. I didn't, you messed me around and made up a fictitious story and wanted to keep my car for four extra days than quoted. You messed me around and didn't even have the decency to tell me you couldn't do it until Friday. Then wanted me to leave it with you to do the job, once bitten, twice shy. You even boasted on the phone about your other jobs all being completed, after a second prior telling me a lift is broken. And the mechanic was in "Spain" but you didn't find out until yesterday, you're the owner of the business Simon, you would of been told way in advance, and granted him holiday leave. But when I walk in three people standing in there idle eating food. My other reviews are irrelevant. Also the lift is a load of rubbish the job is from the top of the engine. A 2.2 CDTI Civic with a split manifold for future readers. Only thing from underneath is coolant drain and removing the down pipe cat part of exhaust. I ain't stupid I know how to do the job, if it was summer and I wasn't limited for time I'd do it on a driveway myself.

Collingwood motors is hands down the best garage I've ever used - I've been bringing my car to Simon Collingwood for 4 years now and the service and standard of work is impeccable, not to mention the fact that this is the first place i've ever been where the garage don't try and rip you off! Just had the Clutch + flywheel, rear main seal and slave cylinder replaced on my 2011 Ford focus by simon and his team they where by far the most competitive on price in the area. Their work is spot on real nice clean workshop with all modern kit and diagnostic tools and my car was ready to collect the following day. I highly recommend to anyone

I went for an oil change and a diagnostics and I left with 4 warning lights on. They made the oil change and forgot to plug in the sensors as shown in the picture. The diagnostics shows all these problems, but they didn't realize it's because of their incompetence. I truly don't recommend them. Don't go to them! No receipt for the oil change!

Great job well done Had clutch go on my peugeot 107 Sunday, took it into garage Sunday evening, rang up Monday and it was ready to pick up. Will be using this garage again for the service on my car, can not fault them, great staff and quality service and prompt, will pass on to family and friends. Thank you. .

Had to do a review of this place as I can't speak highly enough of Simon at Collingwood Motors. Always friendly and helpful and does everything at an honest cost. This garage works all hours and do a proper job on repairs. (I've had so many bad experiences with mechanics.) 100% recommend them.

My daughters clutch went on her car. Simon went above and beyond to take the stress out of the situation. He collected the car, it was repaired in super quick time and at a very good price. A really decent bloke who I will definitely use again and can highly recommend. 5* service, thank you

A good friend recommend I take my R56 Mini Cooper S, to Collingwood Motors for the new Clutch, Water Pump & Oil Seal.. They did a fantastic job, and the car runs like it's brand new.. I'm so glad I had the work done. They took good care of my Mini, and I'd not hesitate to recommend them.

Called at 18:30 to inquire about a replacement diesel injector repair to my Pug, Took it in for a diagnostic at 11:30 the next day, left the car with him and it was ready by 16:30 No drama, no , quoted a competitive price, did the work, for the quoted price... top

Possibly the best garage in Leicester. Reasonable prices and quality repairs. I Had my cambelt, water pump, front suspension and clutch on a Mondeo all replaced here. Contacted Simon at short notice but managed to fit me in and sorted quickly.

Got me in really quickly as had problem with a suspected leak. Sorted out problem and serviced my car at a very reasonable price. Cant fault them. Will highly recommend to my friends and family. Excellent service all round
