Kenton's Comic cave really hit the spot! I was driving through my old neighborhood and saw a sandwich board that said "COMICS". Well I had to check this out! Great lil hole in tha wall shop. Doug was very helpful and I left with a humble bundle of odd back issues I needed for an off the wall collection I'm working on. Will be back!
Small shop but a great selection. Doug is always friendly and is willing to help you get what you need, even if it's not in stock. He offers 10% off subscription boxes which is a great deal if you can't always make it to the store in release day.
Comic Cave is my favorite comic book store that I've ever gone to. This isn't a slight on the other shops, but rather a huge compliment to the owner, Doug. While the shop is small in size, it's huge in customer service and a personal touch
One man's passion project is offering St. Johns a cozy comic book store the that the historic downtown did not know it was missing. Excellent selection of titles. Above average selection of Dark Horse titles. Some MTG packs and novelties.
I've been a Comic Cave customer since Doug first opened up in St Johns in 2015. As a woman, I don't always feel like I'm taken seriously in comic shops so I really appreciate the welcoming environment Doug creates. After my first visit,

Great little comic shop in the heart of downtown St. Johns. An excellent selection of current single issues as well as a cool loft area with a manageable selection of back issues-- many of which were real gems and substantial runs.
Friendly, awesome, great selection, great costumer service! Doug, the owner, is very helpful and just the nicest guy you'll ever meet. They are even offering fun comic making classes for kids now! Can't wait for an adult version.
Not my usual neck of the woods but worth the drive to chat with Doug while my kids made their selections. A friendly shop with room to move around and lots of variety. I might possibly have gone home with a few items myself.
Great spot in Kenton. Lots of current books and graphic novels. Got a decent kids section. Smaller back issues section but that's not what drives this store. Friendly owner willing to help you out

Went here for the first time last Friday.. They had exactly what I was looking for, and I considered it a long shot. Can't wait to see what I stumble upon next time.
Friendly staff and willing to go out of his way to make the customers experience a great one! If I lived here, I would definitely open a pull list with them!
I found this place in the Geek Guide from the visitor center. A great local shop and the owner is a veritable encyclopedia of comic book knowledge.
When comic book guy sees you crossing the street and calls you by your name, it's official! Support the local shops in St. John's.
The owner went out of his way to help me collect issues of a convoluted series (drowning earth). Very helpful and easy to talk to.
Dude is super helpful about getting something if it isn't in stock. Found several new favorites here. Great little shop!
