I was disappointed at the greeting I was given. The greeter drilled me, who are you and why are you here? I told him, "I came looking for answers." "You won't find any answers here." I considered to leave there and then, but I was hopeful. The greeter gave me a Torah, Seder Yarmulke, and Service Brochure. The service was encouraging, inspiring and edifying. I was thrilled by some of the weekday events they had in the brochure and tried to review them halfway through the service. That's when I realized the brochure was taken from the seat next to me when I wasnt looking. I tried to talk to a few people after service but they made it clear they didnt want to talk with me. The greeter returned asked sarcastically if I learned anything. I calmly replied I the service answered many questions and created many more. He made it clear he didn't want to talk. I left dejected. I was hoping to find a community but instead I was treated like an unclean goyim.

I’m interested in converting and I’ve been to Shabbat services. They make you feel very welcome!!! Cantor Wendy is absolutely amazing her energy has such a spark to it. Her voice is beautiful. Her personality is very welcoming and sweet. Danny was so absolutely pleasant and warm so easy to talk to very welcoming. Rabbi Spector is very kind loved his service’s. Loved the bat mitzvah for Regan she is the most beautiful girl! She read out of Torah like no one’s business! So impressive it was a wonderful service. This will be the place I do my conversion...

I went to school here as a child and young adult. Today I realized what an amazing job all the teachers did because even though I was attending school like any other American child, all the extra classes I had to take from age 5 to age 13 so I could perform my Bar Mitzvah did not overwhelm. Looking back I actually thrived in my congregation. My only hindering would be of my own social anxiety. This congregation has affected my life in ways I will never truly comprehend but be forever grateful! Thank you Rabbi Wenger, Cantor Loeb, and Principal Loeb

As a convert and a not very conventional individual I've avoided congregation for so long. After many attempts by my network to convince me to attend I made the decision and now my young family has come to feel incredibly welcome here. Rebbe nearly made me feel ridiculous for my hesitation. This place has become the most welcome place for us to worship without judgement and feel embraced as part of a community every day. Every individual member we've interacted with has been warmly receptive. Thank you all for this outlet.

Unfortunately the blessing Israel is called to be fell short for my visit. I wouldn't call my experience hostile but I would call it cold. I considered it an honor to be there. As a God-fearer, I sought to understand scripture and practice. I was able to quietly observe as I was, perceivably, intentionally ignored. I don't want this to tarnish this assembly only to make them aware of the reception Sojourners may be experiencing here. Please be the blessing you are called to be.

Israel we stand with you and love you thanking Hashem for calling your father Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for thru you we have received the faith and have been affirmed. We pray God protects your loved ones and delivers your nation the victory against this terrorism. Stay strong our redemption nears. God spoke thru the prophet Amos for a time as this. We also pray for the civilians in Gaza being held hostage by hate and fear mongering for there deliverance in the battles ahead.

This is a welcoming place. I have visited Reform congregations in the past and hated all of them. I didn't think I would like a Reform Synagogue but I was pleasantly surprised by Kol Ami of Utah. People here are diverse. Some are very traditional and others are liberal. The Torah study is great. No matter what kind of Jew you are, there is a place for you here.

$180 to come and pray on Yom Kippur! Beautiful shul, but itnt the synagogue supposed to serve the community? Not make them broke... I’ve never been asked to cough up cash on the door before, especially during Chag. I ended up going to Chabad :( felt it was a shame as it would have been nice to connect with young Jews around my age.

Beautiful location and wonderful people. Largest Jewish community in the salt lake area. Although we love the leadership at the Chabad temple, reformed is more in line with our family. Much larger Hebrew school so the kids have lots of friends, but for more traditional Jewish camps we go to Chabad in salt lake.

I think that you’d really love them because they’re genuine and very nice! They have a great class to learn more, a lovely Rabbi and amazing Cantor! The staff is helpful! They also have a ore-school that’s nice for little ones! I cannot say enough good things about them, just go and see for yourself!

Great welcoming environment! I love the rabbi whom is very kind, knowledge and awesome! The community is so diverse from reform to Conservative to modern orthodox conservatives. I recommend Kol Ami a true blessing in Utah!

Super welcoming place. I'm not Jewish and I came for a service, they were all very kind and helpful, and invited me to attend a luncheon after the service. I'm really glad I came.

Very welcoming. Went to a bar mitzvah here and had some scintillating conversations over bourbon and coffee in the reception after. Very civilized.

Requires proof of vaccine. A person’s private medical information is not their business. Nor is this requirement of G-d.

Our hearts and prayers are with you in support of the people of Israel and the Jewish people everywhere.

I'm still a bit leary about the range of different teachings but the people are nice.
