Everybody at this job sounds like they hate going to their job everyday . They are rude and don’t try to help you nor give you options to help your situation . If you have an emergency and need to set an urgent appointment they are not understanding of the situation at all and have appointments until in about 2 months. I don’t understand if they don’t care about helping people because they don’t have good management or what but it’s infuriating. As a business owner you should still have options soon , for emergencies, not until 2 months from the day someone calls you? You make sure to leave one slot open for emergencies/walk ins even with Covid going on people. If anyone knows where this Salvadoran Consulado can be reported so they can get better employees/management please let everyone know. It sounds like it’s not the first time they give everyone a bad experience/service as the rest of the reviews below mention. I don’t understand why they don’t take care of this.

If you make an appointment you will be helped out in a timely manner. If you chose not to make an appointment, you’re at the mercy of other people not making their appointment and you filling in for them. *****CASH ONLY********* If you need the Dewy (DUI?) here’s what you need : ****** Make an appointment by calling in ******* 1) Birth Certificate 2) Another form of ID. It can be a drivers license. 3) $20-$30. 4) on the day of your appointment go to the cashier window and pay, (this is also where you will check in) put your receipt in the tray that says Dewy receipts on the information counter. The lady that handles Dewy processing gets it from that tray. To get a passport 1) make an appointment at the information desk or call in. 2) pay $60 at the cashier counter 3) Give them your Dewy, they will transcribe everything over into your passport 4) wait for your name to be called, go to the assigned window. The person will take your picture and have you sign. 5) wait 1 hour for your passport to be made. 6) when your name is called, pick up your passport at the information counter. They will take your fingerprint. I hope this helps someone!

Horrible service. If I could 0 star it trust me I would. I’ve had to travel over 4 hours to continually be told that I can’t renew a passport because of different reason and every time it’s different. According to them laws are constantly changing and therefore even though, I bring what they tell me the next time I come in I’m missing something else. Just ridiculous and a waste of time. Even with appointments it’s horrible service I showed up 15 minutes before my appointment and I was there over 2 hours still waiting because they don’t know how to handle and get things done just terrible, it’s unbelievable! Just a disgrace to us Salvadorians!

The process to get your “DUI” will take over three hours. I had previously made an appointment, but when I arrived they told me there are no appointments and to wait in the lobby. After the long wait, I took the picture and they told me to print it out it would take “less than an hour” it took more than that. After an hour I asked if I could come back and pick it up and they said no, so I proceeded to wait while the workers are all just chatting and laughing with each other with 0 Sense of urgency. So the process to get the “DUI” will take over three hours dependent on their mood.

My husband had an appointment at 10:40 a.m. to renew his passport. We could never get anyone to answer the phone and after so many attempts to schedule an appointment online, we finally got an appointment online. My husband got there early like it was stated. Almost an hour and a half later, he still has not been seen. He told them he had an appointment and was told it didn't matter. It is whoever gets there first! That is ridiculous! Then why schedule appointments if they are just seeing whoever gets there first! So unprofessional and bad customer service!

I almost have 3 months trying to make an appointment to get a doc, nobody answer the phones, whats app, the automatic response in messenger it is just that, and when i finally reach the office calling an emergency number one rude and upset guy told me to do it through the website but i have been trying time after time but there is no way to connect, so i was wondering my self if they are really working or just playing a game and making easy money

Everyone was engaging, good attitude & kind. I loved the communication on how long the passport would take. Went to eat and when I returned my passport was ready. Very grateful for your service today. Thank you for helping our beautiful Salvadorians and making a difference. I think it is important that we as customers remain polite even if we do have to wait. Come prepare! I noticed that this people work extremely hard and stay busy.

Bad experience, make sure came 10 minutes before because security guard do not let you entrance, you must to wait in your car or parking lot around 15 meter away the entrance, they are caring to follows covi rules however they don’t care if I must to wait outside in cool weather or not. I have to wait outside on 43 degrees around 1 hour.

Surprisingly they were polite and courteous the entire time.. They've always been known for being rude here. However they need to be a bit more discreet when relaying information to people, the entire room heard what the woman from the information desk had to say to me...and like anyone else I prefer privacy.

God this would take you the whole day, they quick to make you pay but they take the longest for everything else.. The slowest I seen someone use a computer. 5 windows and only 2 are people. After that they try talking to you all friendly after you spend almost the whole day. No point of making a appointment

Tienes cita y aún así tienes que esperar 4 horas para que te atiendan!! Simplemente horrible! Y las trabajadoras todas amargadas! Even if you have an appointment you still gotta wait like 4 hrs!! Terrible place. And the employees are the worst! You can’t ask them anything because they give you an attitude!!

  • Canelo Blanco

I think is a great opportunity to be able to drive 30 minutes to 3 hours and be able to renovate a passport in a day instead of having family or friends to do it for us in our country and then will take much longer. I really appreciate the service these people are providing me, thanks and keep it up...

  • Lazaro Alvarez (TheLifeCoach)

The customers service and speed here has changed from my last visit. They where very professional, efficient, and fast. I didn't even have an appointment and was able to get my passport in less than 45 minutes. Great job on the improvement. Thank you.

  • norma linda castillo

They rage about being the fast and most attentive consulate. My husband had to get the DUI and passport. Time of wait was over 3 hours! And there was not a lot of people only one window open. Good this I only have to do this every 10 years.

This place doesn't deserve 1 star. You make an appt but when you get there is first come first serve, like what? I don't understand what's the point of the appt. They're slow, rude n just unprofessional.

  • Emely Morales

This place doesn’t deserve 1 star, We came at 9:30 and is now 12:11 and they haven’t given my mom her passport, they need to hire more people!! If you are coming here expect to wait at least 4 hours.

  • Sintia Martinez

Made an appointment and was in and out less than 2 hours for my passport. Just remember take cash they don’t take card payment but there is an ATM on the 1st floor.

  • Blanca Hernández

Should be more private when asking what we where in for, time wise take a bit longer than expected but is a nice little office front desk was welcoming

  • Robert Luna

Excellent service and very professional clerks. I appreciate them 100% even open a bank account with no issues whatsoever.
