I'm dissatisfied with the service provided by the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. I submitted a request for a new passport on July 31st, 2023. They told me to wait for 2 to 3 weeks. I had also requested them to expedite the process since I need the passport urgently for my travel plans on August 25th. After getting the new passport, I'll have to transfer my visa, which will take another 4 to 5 days. Unfortunately, I haven't received any updates on my passport status despite reaching out. Even when I call them, they don't respond. I even visited the Indian Consulate in person, and I waited for an hour. However, the person I spoke was busy and didn't give me any information. I had to leave without any answers. This situation reflects the challenges faced by immigrants living in Vietnam. I'm dissatisfied and disappointed with the level of service I've received.

As an Indian, I don't feel valued when calling up my countries consulate. I am sorry to bring this up, but your Vietnamese staff who picks up the call is least interested to assist me when calling your Indian Consulate Number in HCMC. The attitude is not nice and she seems to be in a hurry. Would have appreciated if some eagerness and willingness to help attitude would have been shown by your staff over the phone. Maybe a new vacancy should also be for a friendly VN staff handling the calls? Thank you.

Excellent service by the consulate. Dr Sethi, the consul general is extremely helpful to Indians in case they need any kind of support. He personally oversee that the Indians get the support needed. The staff otherwise is also extremely patient and helpful to the queries.

I’m Ukrainian and was surprised how fast I’ve got an Indian visa in Ho Chi Minh. I want to thank people that work there for the help. All was easy: book an appointment online, come and without waiting give your application form, in few days receive passport with visa.

Efficient service. Went for reissue of passports for myself and my daughter. In and out within 90 mins. The Vietnamese lady at the counter is very helpful. Please ensure to read all information clearly on the consulate website.

Very bad service & bad behaviour staff. They don't have simple information's how can they work at the embassy. Clearly can be seen that they dont have any interest to work.

So rude and unexpected! It says on the map that it opens at 9am. But when you arrive, you see that it will be open at 10 am! Just a waste of time!

Staff is courteous and friendly. I was impressed how they handled things and forms. They did an excellent job. Visas were done in a week.
