For the attention of Crunch Chatswood Management - Very Unhappy customer. Following a visit to the Chatswood Crunch Fitness branch today 16th October 2022 at 10.20am to cancel my membership, I am appalled at the level of customer service from Valeria and Chris on the help desk. Having explained that I wish to cancel my membership due to being time poor with work commitments, hence joining another gym closer to my home residence, I was sarcastically told by Valeria "No you can't". Furthermore, having explained I'm time poor and have decided to join a gym closer to home whereby I can drive to it with onsite parking available , Valeria said, again sarcastically, "we are inChatswood". All of this is highly irrelevant, I dont have to justify as a customer why I wish to leave the gym. I dont live in Chatwood anyhow and again, the comment bares no warranty or relevance. I didnt ask for anopinion nor wanted one. Chris commented having confronted these comments that "this is our culture". I work as a Recruitment Manager for a well known FinTech in Barangaroo and given I work in a People & Culture team reporting into a Chief People Officer part of the organisations Exective Leadership team, surely the Crunch culture isnt this dreadful across the board and Management promote this level incompetency. I was advised that my cancellation would not be processed today in-house and that I will need to come back on Monday 17th October when the Manager is onsite. Note: To reiterate, I am time poor and will notbe bending over backwards to have a gym membership request cancellation processed by revisiting the Chatswood branch for the second time. I am sure this has happened to others wishing to cancel their membership and its unacceptable. I have been a member on two occasions of this gym and have subsequently canceled once before without issues when the gym reopenned after the covid lockdowns and I wasnt comfortable going back at the time but will not be joining again and wouldnt advise friends and colleagues to use "Your Services".

I have been a member since 2018, where all classes are pristine and well-thought to cater various age groups, working schedule and fitness levels. There are 6am HIIT/Circuit classes, and a variation of dance, yoga, strength classes throughout the afternoon and evening. But since late last 2022, it seems like the classes went on a nose dive. Everything is poorly managed, it's like a 5 year old putting the class timetable together. Cancelled classes without notice, ridiculous class replacements last minute e.g., yoga replaced by a hiit class, or zumba replaced by any dance class. It's like they are in constant fire fighting mode to keep the timetable together. CONSISTENT wrong information online, wrong instructor, wrong time, wrong class, duplicate entries. I've rocked up few times to a 6:15am class and it was cancelled. Whatever feedback we give to the reception, nothing improves. The receptionists are lovely, they are always the front liners who has to handle unhappy members, but it looks like they have no idea about these classes. Obvious poor communication within the organisation. They always seem to have new receptionists, looks like high turnover too. So many amazing classes have been replaced. It was at its prime from 2018 even up until recovery from the Covid lockdown of 2021. It is at its worst right now. Great PTs have left too. Only staying here, because where else can you find a gym that charges $15 pw for unlimited classes and bring a guest for free for every visit. Mediocre equipment. But I am mostly here for classes. This is their main sell. But man, classes are a mess in the past dew months. Inconsistent, messing with our schedule and routine. And now, they are planning to increase the rates, that's embarrassing for the quality of classes, customer service and consistency they provide. It's a cheap gym. You get what you pay for. Workout, go home. don't have your hopes high.

3.5 Stars. Great Location, Great Price. Although expect to get what you pay for. Facilities are not as nice as other gyms and there always seems to be machines being repaired on. Because of the price and location hoards of people go, expect to to wait to use the popular machines if you're on a typical 9-5 shift. I've even gone at lunch times and found that it's hard to use everything that i want. If you're sticking to a strict work out regime I would allow a few extra minutes. Staff are a great looking bunch and always really friendly. The customers of crunch in general can seem a bit obnoxious as the price does attract a lot of casual gymers. so expect to see people who bring bags to the gym floor, wear thongs, dont have towels, dont bring bottles so hog the water fountains drinking from the tap, dont put weights away or in correct place and talk loudly - as a lot of people come with friends or colleagues. Also there are those who hog machines because they take 10 minute rest internals between sets and play on their phone (trust me I've timed them) these aren't major problems but can tend to put you off if you come from a more premium gym. The place loses points with the amenities and general environment of the gym which are important to me. Male bathroom: Showers aren't terrible but always smell heavily with cleaning products and you look up and see mold on the ceiling, also showers aren't linked to change areas so the floor is always really wet and gross around the sink areas which you need to walk past to find a bench to change. The lockers require you to buy a padlock which is a bit tedious. The gym floor itself always seems a bit too hot for me and general feel of the place feels a bit gross and smelly.

I am sharing this to warn people who are attempting to join this gym for a short term (if you are traveling or if you only want a gym for a month or two). I was with anytime fitness for a year and had to relocate, and had to transfer my membership to a friend. Hence, I was looking for a gym for 6 weeks before I relocate. Crunch was my choice due to locations and the fact that I didn't have to return a key after the membership ended. I went into the gym to chat with Dom, who did not provide sufficient information when I asked if it was alright to sign up from May to July. She gave me specific instructions which was not honoured by the manager the next day (I'm not sure if he was the manager but he just said he was). He kept repeating that mine was a complicated case and refused to change the cancellation date, specifying that it could be done later after I freezed my membership. Later, I realised that there is a minimum of 4 weeks for membership freeze, and the base membership fee is literally for the last 4 weeks of the membership (even if it's freezed). I have also tried emailing and calling the gym. With much effort, nothing was settled and I wasted $60+ on 4 weeks of membership, which is not a huge amount. However, I understand that it is not fair to the consumer and creates unnecessary stress, and hope that future consumers will be wary before signing up with crunch chatswood.

I've had a skim of the reviews, so will explain my rating... I have become a regular gym goer for mental health management. The low fees at Crunch have allowed me to work with a PT (Milo) for the price of other gym memberships. Through covid and some other issues this one on one coaching has helped me succeed with my health. The community of regular members here at Chatswood is so supportive and encouraging. For me it is this community that I have found that makes this place perfect for me. As I am a regular and pay up front for a year I get great value. There is also a branch near my office and my parents place. I have been able to use both with my membership for no extra cost. NOTE: the issues mentioned about pausing etc... crunch is a big company from overseas your not dealing with a small gym but a large corporation and I know that they have not always treated their staff the best through COVID. I rate crunch chatswood, but can see the flaws of Crunch Fitness as an entity. If you want to start off well, I recommend trialling 3 sessions with one of the following PTs, Milo Lopez or David Kim. I've also seen Jessica Neil and Lina Chang with satisfied clients though have not trained with them myself.

One year later. I'm doing another review. I'm going to cancel the membership. They removed good classes without notice. Cancelled classes are still available for booking. After so many times telling the front desk, it's still not rectified. There's no respect of our time. All the travelling and getting ready only to find out the class is not on. In addition, there's no good mix of classes. You get so many dancing classes but not proper workout classes. It's not a cool gym anymore. If you are fit and looking for some hard classes. This gym is not for you. Maybe for ladies who love dancing, it's ok. I also found the crunch management only reply to good review and ignore bad reviews. Happy to be proven wrong. Below is what I wrote a year before, no reply from crunch. The experience of my first time back to crunch in 2 years today was unfortunately awful. The first class I wanted was cancelled in the last minute. The staff at the front counter didn't even bother to let the people waiting in the classroom to know. I guess they were busy chatting. Not apologetic at all. It's definitely not the crunch two years ago. I regretted prepaid for year. If I don't see improvement, I will have to ask my money back.

The worst customer service! my membership was on hold due to the virus and one day all of a sudden they took $ 70 out of my bank account. I went to the gym right away and spoke to the receptionist, he checked what was going on and said it was a mistake and he would get my money back. Never happened. I called to cancel my membership and asked for the money. They didn't fix anything over the phone, they made me go to the gym because apparently there is a policy that says you can't cancel your membership over the phone. I went there, canceled the membership and asked for my money again, this time they said that $ 30 was an annual fee and the other part of the money would be returned to me because it was a mistake. They never gave me my money back and they emailed me saying I got a $ 70 credit. Which I won't be able to use because I don't go to that gym anymore. Also, I would like to get my money back not a credit, they took it out of my bank account like that without any authorization. I sent an email asking about this situation a month ago and they never responded. It looks like it’s a cheap gym but they are the biggest rip-off.

All of the bad reviews for this gym are completely justified. Do not go to this gym. All reviews pertaining to poor management and continuing to charge fees despite cancelling membership are accurate. I request a freeze and the person at the desk told me I wouldn’t be charged until I unfroze my account manually. They proceeded to charge me for months on end and refused to refund me. Then after I cancelled my membership (which I had to follow up with multiple times) they still continued to charge me. Terrible management from Nathan Middleton. He was very rude and passive aggressive to me over the phone whilst I was filing my complaint about how I have had to constantly follow up with them about the status of my refund. He became defensive when I suggested he provide status updates on the progress of my refund in an attempt to escalate matters. He provided no apologies for his terrible management and bluntly hung up the phone. I am frankly shocked at the lack of responsibility and customer service.

What an absolute embarrassment of a gym! As an ex personal trainer, I would hate to work here. The place is an absolute mess and makes no sense in terms of how the gym is set up. The other thing is clientele and gym ettiquete! There is equipment all over the place and barely anyone returns the weights. People giant setting on machines without letting you jump in with them. This place is also busy ALL the time, started training at 2pm and it's really difficult to program an effective program in the span of an hour. @Crunch - instead of letting anyone into your gym and focusing on quotas, how about you focus on building an environment with select clientele that will be respectful to others? *update* after leaving, cancelling and not receiving an email confirming ( which I've requested three times) I now find a charge on my card when I've been told no further debits will come out. If I could give crunch a rating of less than one star, I would..

  • Sergey Pashkevich

The staff at the Chatswood branch has super friendly attitude. They are very welcoming, both when I come and when I leave. They even remember my name, and they also greet and wave goodbye in a very positive manner. Even if this is a part of their required conduct, it still works great, and makes me feel welcomed and appreciated. The gym itself is huge, and has tons of equipment. I visit in the lunch break, when it's not too crowded, and so I usually have all the equipment available whenever I need it, without waiting. The price seems really low, compared to other places; esp. with yearly subscription. There's always some "special deal" going on, according to the ads; so if there's no deal today, wait for a week, and there probably will be one :) I don't go to classes, so can't say anything about it; however it looks that the classes are quite popular, judging by the appearance of the crowd.

I attended classes at Crunch chatswood and I found people very unpleasant and unwelcoming consistently new comers. They are Fighting for their place, looking at new people with disdain, talking mean about people who try for the first time. I took a friend of mine there. We went to a Zumba class and the usual bunch of pretentious women were so mean to her that she promised to never come back Once we had a new teacher, replacing the usual teacher who was unwell and I had a shock. The Zumba crew was terrible to her, they were disrespectful , insulting and I am sure they made her feel awful. I am not surprised Crunch Chatswood has such a bad reputation. I heard from several people about this reputation of being unwelcoming and disrespectful, only at Crunch Chatswood. I send an email to the owner Ian Hubbard, he didn't even answer me . DO NOT GO THERE they are just awful

  • Lynda C

The music volume is TOO loud, not always but too often. I have left before the end of my workout numerous times because it is so unbearable. The front desk staff do not respond to requests to adjust the volume nor do they go to the work out area to check it. In fact you rarely see staff on the work out area of the gym. They just don't care. However I do note that they keep the music volume at the front desk to an acceptable volume. How about responding to your customers and finding out what the problem is. Just because you twiddled the knob doesn't mean it had an effect in the workout area. As you can see from the fact that Crunch don't respond to reviews here they just don't care about any problem you go to them with. And I agree with other reviewers here about the money and payment issues. I have experienced all of them.

  • Igor

Crunch cancelled the card (essentially, stopped providing the service as per the contractual Agreement) for a missed weekly payment yet continued accumulating payments due for the account for a year when according to their Agreement clause 12(c) they had the right to stop it after 30 days. No repeated attempts to charge the card occured after the missed payment, suggesting that the account service has been indeed been stopped. To further add to the confusion, multiple SMS messages with new offers to come back and join again were sent. Extremely slow to respond to support requests or emails (one mail from Jennifer after 7 requests in 3 months). Hide their corporate management behind counter stuff with limited capabilities who suggest contacting Fair Trade to get through to their senior management for solutions.

  • Nick Parmenter

The facilities and location are good, but unfortunately this is completely undermined by unexplained thefts from lockers and in response, a glaring lack of basic decency from the management. My fiance's locker was broken into and $500+ worth of belongings, including hair straighteners and cosmetics, vanished. The management's response was completely unsympathetic, offering a vague explanation about cleaners emptying lockers after two weeks (it had been less than that), but no clue as to where the belongings are now. After we filed a police report, the complaint was reluctantly escalated to regional management (for whom there is no contact phone number), with a vague promise of compensation. Suffice to say nothing has happened since. Avoid this place if being able to trust its staff is important to you.

  • Grace Dong

all good to sign you up but act poorly when you decide to cancel the membership. More charges were processed to my credit card two weeks after my membership was officially cancelled. when i flagged the issue with the Gym, they firstly didn't acknowledge the mistake; secondly refused to refund for the charges made after the cancellation. Instead they offered a credit and told me to extend my membership by two weeks in a time the gym was temporarily closed due to COVID. understand operating gym during COVID isn't easy but this is not how the business should run by money grabbing from a member who's loyal t the gym for 7-8 year. Should they be a bit more flex with their policy by accepting phone request to freeze the account during COVID, i wouldn't have had my membership cancelled in the first place.

  • Nic Jvr

I have been a member for here for more than 1 year. Recently (2 months), there was a change in management and the place has livened up tremendously. Katrina is an excellent manager and staff such as Eden, Walker and Sophie are super friendly and always want to chat with me. Moreover, when I have any questions about fitness, they always answer to the best of their abilities and I'm training more confidently and efficiently each time they provide their expert advice. Equipment is well maintained and I'm only waiting a maximum of 5 minutes for a machine and usually aren't waiting at all. For the low price a membership here is, this gym is an excellent establishment and I would implore anyone reading this review to get a membership ASAP.

When I first walked in I was meeted by a very friendly worker called James. James was a handsome warm hearted young man who went above and beyond. But on the other hand there was a very nasty manager called Nathan who kept giving me dirty looks everytime I saw him. I thought nothing of it until I was half way through my set of 200kg squats when someone kicked my leg out. Lucky for me my legs are made of iron and I hardly felt it but I could tell the person who kicked me had bad intentions. When I looked around i saw the minuscule manager Nathan looking up at me. If I wasn’t so unbelievably humongous I probably would have severely hurt my self. Nathan is a horrible man. Also why the heck are the plates in pounds we are in Australia.

I have been a member of Crunch for many years now but recently they have cancelled early morning group HIT 360 style classes… this is really disappointing as the early classes on Wednesday and Thursday mornings are my only chance for group training…. No explanation was given and I have had no response from the feedback provided in both the gym and via the website… remaining a member of Crunch in the future is far less attractive if they don’t cater for the members… most other crunch outlets seem to cater for early classes, why not Chatswood?? I’m not the only frustrated member who thinks this… After reaching out to the email address provided another 3 times, still no response from anyone at Crunch!! Must be super busy I guess!!

Worst gym, I've ever been to! A few of the key issues are: 1)The showers are moldy and dirty. So much so that you can see mold spots everywhere in the bathroom! 2) No ventilation in whole of gym, the staff will walk around with a Febreeze bottle and spray to mask the foul smells. 3) Machines are old and half the time broken. 4) Only 3 showers have warm water! There is always a queue of people waiting to use these. I have brought this to the attention of reception over 10+ times to no avail. 5) Loud music, they blast music from their cheap speakers throughout the gym. I wouldn't mind so much but I cant even hear my own music while working out. These are just some of the issues, I could go on and on.. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

  • Eleanor Taylor

I have been going to this gym since I was 14 and have never gone anywhere else because it gets the job done. The staff are kind and always available to help out. The classes are exciting with energetic instructors who do a good job instructing the class and helping people out with individual issues. Huge range of classes as well, from Zumba, to Pilates, to strength classes. It's even more impressive when you consider that this place costs like $9 a week at its base level and $15 a week for unlimited classes. The facilities are also excellent, I've never shown up and found it too busy to workout. The location above Chatswood Station is so convenient if you use public transport. Overall I am a huge fan of Crunch!

  • Vanessa Crump

I got an email today about owing money despite having not gone into the gym since February 2020. The gym closed during the lockdown of 2020 and then I never heard anything from them. Nothing to say they were open or were trying to take payment. After two years passed and the contact me saying I owe $800. Very convenient to contact me now not two years ago. Called them today to cancel my membership to make sure they didn’t try to increase the amount of money and they told me I had to go into the gym to cancel. I live in a different state now and I have for over a year. Maybe it’s legal but it’s not right and you should be ashamed of making a money grab off people already struggling in this pandemic.

  • Taylor D

Dee why branch messed up my membership. Staff and receptionist are clueless, hard to contact, clearly do not care at all. Andrew Paduano helped fixed it and he was a pleasure to communicate with. Fast, effective, direct and he is able to resolve problems, exactly what a manager should be. After transferring to the chatswood branch, I can say it’s great. Equipment are in good condition, staff are friendly and helpful. Only thing is I wished they extend their Friday hours to 10pm too. Not too sure about classes as I don’t go to any. Crunch has the best value, best equipment, best location, compared to the other gyms in the are. I’ll definitely recommend!

  • Deen Hameed

Always busy... quite a comprehensive set of machines as well as some weights. They've got a lot of classes and trainers, but I haven't used them yet. The place is always busy, but can get VERY crowded at times, so pick a slow time if you can... Would be a lot less busy if some of the crowd would just do their workout rather than fiddle with their phones (or yabber to mates) so things were moved along... no HIIT happening there! :) Otherwise, the rates are good, trainers and staff friendly and equipment is well maintained.. month by month is LOT better than a contract (although the change to a month's notice is a bit of a disappointment).

  • K Coz

Reviewed March 2020. Compared to other branches, this branch has older equipment (majority of them) and none of the monkey bar type racks that the newer branches have. Amazing that they finally upgraded their Concept2 rowers to PM5, which were previously all older PM3/4 machines. Definitely gets busy during peak times and is consistent with previous reviewer who said that it smells. Has a younger crowd, but that also means that there's less etiquette displayed on sharing equipment (compared to Fitness First members). Highlights are its location (right above the station) and it's employees working out the front.

  • Andy Su

I recently received this perk from work that I can get reimbursed for a gym membership so I am looking for a gym near my home. Came to this place for a 1 day trial, and sign up on app. The staff didn’t let me in because I was a member for a year around 4 years ago so I am ineligible for a day pass. The staff said he is not “buying my story and don’t think I m keen on membership”. The funny thing is the slogan of their gym “no judgement” and I was just being judge and treated like a scam. So say bye to your business! Not recommending this gym to anyone who doesn’t want to be judged.

  • Shaz Af

I love Crunch and have been with Crunch for really long! I love it HOWEVER, Crunch Chatswood Doesnt have a stairmaster, Parramatta has 3, Everytime i travel from North to Parramatta (25 mins drive) to do the Stairmaster which is not fair as all branches SHOULD GET EQUAL FACILITIES. If you are reading this Crunch, Can you pleaseeeeeeeee get one StairMaster for Chatswood Brunch. Also Parramatta has more classes and a little better teachers than Chatswood, but Chatswood isnt bad either so that’s fine, would be a 3/5 for me for that reason. BUT STAIRMASTER PLEASE??y???

  • Kaos Ludovic

Ridiculously affordable and have gone here for years now. Good ammenities, always at a pretty good standard clean wise. Plenty of weights (most if not all in LBS), could use more benches and squat racks. Cleaning stations located all over. Great cardio areas. I feel welcomed no matter how I look and there is huge diversity amongst staff and members/guests. I would like to see earlier opening hours and later closing hours across the entire week/weekend. They do not open on public holidays which is a shame because I love training and it’s a decent gym.

  • Luke H

Had money taken from my account on 5 further occasions after I requested Ezypay to terminate my agreement. They admitted in an email that there was "a glitch in their system" but told me the gym would contact me to discuss the "option of a refund". This never happened. This simply isn't good enough. Money was taken from my account after I removed my consent. You and Ezypay both profited from this and both refused to return my money. Please return my money ASAP. It isn't yours and you had no right to take it. Some would consider this theft.

  • Taniora Kidwell

The gym it self ain't to bad, however from a hygiene perspective they need to stay on top of full sanitiser bottle to wipe machines down after being used! I asked a lady at reception and she didn't sound worried at all. So there was one half full bottle for the entire gym, this seriously needs to be addressed asap! We shouldn't have to pause our workouts to search the gym for a spray bottle to wipe machines down after we use them. Shocking! However there's one gentleman who opens Mon-Tues and he's always on his game! Pay attention team!!!

  • Doran Mingo

Been here the first day on Chatswood Fitness and I quit due to extreme poor customer service with Nathan, the male reception. I had Already paid the fee and ask to start on Thursday, the reception prior then that mistakenly put on Friday, which Nathan has already admitted, now they force me to pay extra money for entering the gym. What in world is this type customer service where customer had to pay for their mistake, and somehow Nathan angry at me which I showed dissapointment only. really poor experience if anyone want come to this gym

  • Mahi Abrar

Huge gym with a wide range of equipment. Open 7 days as well which is always a bonus. The $16 membership allows you to attend free classes which take place everyday with multiple options to choose from. If you're having trouble finding the place just like I was, look at the photo attachef. Its actually near Chatswood Interchange near the station, look for the big escalators with 20+ steps (you cant miss it!) and go up the escalator, then keep walking to your right. You should be able to start seeing Crunch Fitness logos.

  • Milan Mijailovic

It looks like working hours and gym conditions are set up by people that work at the gym. Today 29/12 gym was closed at 6:30 am. Incredible this conditions and working hours are bellow any Gym standards in Australia and around the world No excuses ! I feel like asking for my money back and full membership refund. This is the second time. Last time I was at the gym at 8am on Saturday and person was late to open so we waited 30min. Other crunch gyms are open at 6am on Saturday why this gym is different?

  • Helen H

This gym is like a second home to me. Been coming here for 5 years and seen all the changes it’s been through in that time. Staff are always bright and cheery. Way more helpful and personable than any other commercial gym I’ve been to. The gym, bathrooms and change rooms are clean and well kept. It is obvious that the staff care. And finally the dumbbell section is now very organised (thanks to the latest change of manager Kyle!) Very reasonable pricing, and never had issues with this place. Love crunch!

  • D

Business heads and management care more about inventing fees for you to pay, and charging you during lockdown for a service that they weren't providing, than about actually doing their job and providing a service to customers. Friends and I have been accused multiple times of missing weekly payments despite it never happening, and been overcharged with late fees that we didn't know we owed. Just awful communication and no compensation. Give us our money back from lockdown, crooks.

  • AjinkyaRaje Bhosale

Horrible horrible horrible, Nathan the manager is nightmare to deal with most unprofessional person I have ever experienced, he is bully and very intimidating and unsafe to deal with. The crunch chain will find every opportunity to steal your money and not let you speak. After 2 lockdowns such gym owners or staff members have not learnt their lessons. Don't go to this gym coz it's cheap as when the time comes to leave it will cause you a lot of stress. STAY AWAY!!!!

  • Tracey Vu

Please do not go to this place. Find somewhere else where they provide better service. I paid upfront 1 year membership and they promised that we can freeze my account without fees. So because of covid-19, I am afraid to go there, so I decided to freeze my account. But then the staff said they will charge me $5 per week to freeze my account. I sent email to their manager - Alex and no response. Terrible customer service and poor communication. Waste of money.

  • Sarah Hutchinson

Seriously dirty change rooms and gym equipment - it's cheap for a reason. Both myself and my colleague have stopped using this gym becuase even though it's one of the cheaper memberships around, you don't actually want to touch any of the equipment or get changed in the change rooms. Paint is peeling off the ceilings and walls, lights don't work, dirty floors - it really needs strong regular disinfectant to feel clean. Staff are really nice however.

  • Jordan Raines

In order to pause membership you need to pay $15 and provide proof of why you want to pause; 1. a medical certificate 2. documents you are going overseas or 3. anything related to why you are wanting to pause. Why does a gym need this information? You are already charging me extra money to not provide me a service of going to the gym - cancellation is free and now I have the nice decision to go to a different gym when I start working out again.

  • Juana Mayors

I should give 0. Very bad experience today 28/08/2022 with 2 female receptionist.I used my free pass from my previous crunch membership. Apparently because I used to be a member I cannot use the free pass. Both female receptionist made face and even smirk. I love crunch fitness. Crunch Bankstown staff are welcoming and very approachable. I hope that the management team will look into staff attitude and train them with proper customer service.

  • Bingqian Shan

Very bad experience. One of the reception boy, he didn't allow me to access with free pass card, because I had been to Crunch before. Of course I respect this rule even though no staff in Crunch told me before. But please pay attention to your attitude, no smile, stinky face. For what?? You made me felt like I owe you $100000. Man, you deserve a better job, I don't think you enjoy it. My family will cancel the membership soon.

  • Liam Shao

To anyone reading reviews, Please do not go to this fitness. They scam your membership fees even you already cancelled it. The manager and senior manager on the branch and the HQ are gangsters. Plus they have a horrible security problem in the gym. My friend lost all belongings by pocket pickers in the gym. I talked with the staff team and they admit there is serious management issues. For your own safety , do not go there.

  • keone little

Never answer their phones after multiply attempts, don't follow up on messages left or emails till weeks later. Furthermore they refuse to enact any membership requests via email and say you must call or attend. Doesn't help when your travelling and they NEVER answer the phone! Be aware this is turning into a scam gym they want to lure you in and when you need to freeze your membership or help no one is available!

I was visiting Sydney for a few days and had to find a gym that accommodated my short trip. Everyone here was friendly and I had genuine conversations with those that I spoke with. The manager and staff were really helpful in explaining to me my options, as I was visiting from the US. If you are visiting from the US and have Crunch here, you can visit a few Crunch fitness a year in different markets +++

  • Simon N

Member for about 4 years. I do my solo workouts mid-morning most days. I love the staff, the No Judgement vibe, the range of equipment and the general friendliness of other members. Exceptional value too. I've tried many gyms in 10+ countries over about 40 years, Crunch is wonderful. My one wish is for Crunch to carry on providing the disinfectant spray and paper towels.

  • Ryan Beheshti

The worst Gym that I have ever attend during last 5 years! Dirty environment, some of their major equipment are broken and un-balanced. Poor communication and costumer care! They reject to refund me for the deduction that they have done from bank account during Sydney lockdown, despite of my deceleration that I didn't use your facility during that period of time.

  • Eileen Ding

Equipment selection isnt too bad, receptionists are always very friendly and always trying to help :) I do wish the group classes were better managed - there seems to be constant tech issues and quick turnover of instructors. It would be awesome to have the OG instructors back (especially for Strong!) and working tech to play music in the classes.

  • Sparkling Red Rose

The design of the class room is the worse part of this gym You won't be able to see the instructor if you are not standing right in the middle & (You guessed it!! ) this place is always taken by an indian woman with long nose & 2 other korean women & they will ask you to find yourself another spot as they have it reserved for each other Disgusting

  • Fable Hungry

People say it's cheap, but even at their base membership there are massive extra fees that will hit you throughout the year, not to mention sign up fees. When I'm paying this much I don't want large parts of the gym unavailable to me because I'm not with a personal trainer, especially since squat racks and pull-up bars are very limited.

  • honeyfun

Cancelled my membership and kept charging me money. I had to go to my bank to dispute the charges and cancel my creditcard. Even after that, they sent an email that I owe them money. Garbage experience, don't bother. Just spend more and use Fitness First. PS. Equipments are always filthy and many are just broken. Barely any racks.

  • Glenda Anderson

Highly recommend this gym. Have been visiting from the USA (Crunch member) and the staff are so friendly and super helpful. There is loads of room and equipment and it is really clean. Mornings are busy but not super crowded. I would be very happy if this was my home gym. Only wish they would provide towels (as per my home gym)

  • Studio Spot

The members here make me smile! I love the classes here with the instructors that always take pride in mixing things up, challenging us but making us feel like we can always achieve! Love their playlists too! The row of treadmills has the best view and makes cardio more interesting. Overall club feels vibrant and warm.

  • mike morad

every time that I went there (6~8pm) it was so busy. after a few month, they took 40$ of my account for annual membership. they take money for 1 month ahead. so whenever you wanna quit, you can still go to the gym for the month that they already charged you. I quit the gym, still they took money from my account.

  • Sam Congalton

Best gym in Chatswood! The staff are friendly, they have a great range of workout equipment and you can usually always get to the machine you want to use, even in peak hours. The membership is one of the cheapest around and you definitely get value for money. I just wish they were open later on Friday nights.

  • Paul Rosenkranz

For the price, it's been a great gym to be part of while living in the area. Most issues involving broken equipment are resolved in a timely fashion. Staff is always super friendly, despite me not being fully awake to appreciate it all the time in the morning. Keep the fans working, and I'll be happy.

  • Morgan

The equipments are good but not sufficient considering the number of members they have signed up! You often have to wait for benches to become available same with cable machines, barbell etc, unless you are able to go during off-peak hours but overall given the reasonable membership fee, it’s fine.

  • Bovey Zhang

This gym is situated in a great location, right next to the Chatswood train station!! So accessible for anyone travelling via public transport!! They have amazing group classes including yoga and boxing!! And weekly membership fee is lower than many of the other gyms!! I think Crunch is amazing!!

  • Est 1604

Great gym and not that expensive compared to other gyms. I was paying $120 per month at FF and went to AT where they had a price increase of 30% to $80 which made me look else where, and now I'm paying $40. The people and the staff down there are really nice so can't complain really. Good value.

  • Jacqueline

Went travelling and missed one debit, they couldn't call me so they sent me to a debt collector. Injured myself on the rowing machine once and when I went to reception they asked me what I wanted them to do about it? I was bleeding from the stomach. I'd like first aid. These people are baffling.

  • Allister Muir

Very large and expansive gym. Plenty of equiptment. Very closely located to Chatswood train station and the Chatswood shops. Has decent bathroom and shower facilities. Membership is very reasonably priced. Classes on multiples times a day, with lots of choices. Great staff and trainers.

  • Parry

Just believe in their bad reviews regarding membership payments issue! They are terrible. They just care about money!! No customer service. I was this gym’s member for a mount, I Cancelled my membership just because of their terrible customer service. The management is terrible.

  • Mari Rosa

After 5pm the place is fully packed and for some reason they don't turn the air conditioner on. It smells really bad and the gym is full of "learners" who sit on the equipment for 10, 15 minutes to text their mates. Not a good place if you want a serious work out.

  • Jasleen Kaur

The gym is big and clean. Most of their staff are friendly and easy to talk to . We had no issues after canceling the membership. I guess their cancelation policy is a bit complicated that's why so many negative comments related to that. All in all, a good gym

  • Adaline

Honestly one of the best gym I’ve ever been to, love their offers and classes they have on. Staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. Since my friend as a premium membership, I get to tag along. It’s nice having another person to can motivate you to go gym.

  • D L

I was there in the afternoon on 26 Feb. Once I entered the gym, the girl that works there (dark hair)said “hi” to me. But the way she said hi was so fake with that stone face look on her. Girl, if you don’t want to say hi then don’t! Don’t

  • Ding Yifu

One of the reception boy, if you think you deserve better job, go for it I believe you do! Don't have to waste your time here and putting that attitude on us ok? You just look like you don't want to be here at all, no smile no welcome and

  • Paul McNamara

Horribly decrepit gym, terrible staff, and even worse contract terms that they hide behind. Rather than being reasonable to retain a customer, they abused the fine print of their contract to pinch a few pennies off me. Now they've lost a

  • bigwookah

Pros: * Good value for money * Close to Chatswood station Cons: * Only 2 bench presses??? Can you please fix this? * Can get very busy around 5pm (see above, need to wait a lot) * All the plates are in lbs instead of kg?! * No 24h access

  • Rhiannon Davis

Loved the nature of the class, but found the instructor less than helpful. Obviously popular with regulars but no good for newbies. Instructor didn't speak at all throughout the whole class as if he expected everyone to know the whole

  • nigel

For the price its the best you can get. I've been to plenty gyms and most are double the price for half the equipment. Quite busy around peak hours (6-7pm) but otherwise if you come super late before closing or earlier in the day you

  • Darren Lin

I've been a member here for around 4+ years, and I think Crunch has their fair share of good and bad. Recently, I've had a really negative experience with Crunch Chatswood after applying for a temporary membership. I was told by the

  • Wanda Skerrett

Only joined the club as that was where the personal trainer was. Did not use the club at any other time. Sent an email cancelling the membership of $26.90 each two weeks on 21/01/2019 at which stage $53.80 was owing on the account.

  • Jason Wang

Horrible, Horrible experience. Every one star review about the gym is totally correct. The costumer service and the management was terrible. If only I can give zero star and comment, I definitely will do so. DO NOT COME TO THIS GYM!

  • Yichong Zhou

I requested to cancel my membership due to relocation, however my request never got processed and they are still charging me a fee. The most unprofessional gym business ever and steals client’s money. Will never return again.

  • Jimmy Noah

with no gym background, Sophie very friendly and always smiling when give me info on gym tour. Totally different service than Premium Gym I been today. I will definitely become of their gym membership next week! Thank you.

  • Anh Dau

It is a spacious gym with many equipments. Membership is cheaper than many other club. Hygiene is not so good though, I don’t see many people bring towels and it is not mandatory here. Zumba classes is the best

  • Tushar Vashisht

Incredible value gym but as far as gyms and even Crunch branches go, the facilities are 8/10. Machines are on the worn side and there is less specific machine eg hip thrusts. Still an easy recommendation :)

  • Ling Peng

I had a horrible customer service experience with Nathan the manager in Chatswood crunch. He looks have angry issue and very intimidating and unsafe to deal with. It caused me a lot of stress!!!

  • Marco Balverde

training here with my mates who are now staff. katrina and eden have flipped the place around and it shows. constantly smiling, welcoming and making sure the place is clean. let them cook!!!!!

  • Sayeed Zia

I have been trying to cancel my gym membership for over a month and there has been absolutely no response. They ask me to come to the gym in person to cancel. How can I do that while overseas?

  • Adele Martin

positive experience here, love the classes Crunch Fitness offers. The signup process was very straight-forward and easy, friendly reception staff who were keen to show me all the equipment.

  • Daniel Santos

The staff are the friendliest and most cool, polite gym staff you'll ever meet. The personal trainers are top notch and overall the gym has a good vibe with lots of equipment to work on.

  • Samantha Ahmed

Great staff but showers/bathrooms are shocking. Very dirty and water never gets hot half the time. Gym itself is small, limited machines. No unique equipment like Crunch Alexandria.

  • Jase K

Overcrowded gym aimed at poor students. Typical waiting time for a popular equipment can be up to 20 minutes. As members are mainly young ones, equipments are in subpar conditions.

  • Kang Wang

Don’t expect get any response by phone or email. All running good if you go to gym regularly. However, once you want to suspend or cancel your membership, it’s extremely hard.

  • Eye

Has been a great gym, staff are friendly and will recognize you. Trainers are excellent, trained with Milo - amazing trainer and good conversation, would recommend to anyone.

  • Steven Averty

Great gym and even greater staff. Everybody here is friendly, no ego. Ladies at the desk are a 10, it makes you wanna come back and train more often *wink wink* …

  • Soc S
