Called in to find out what time Dr was leaving, they said at 3 pm. Was there before he left. He just stormed out stated we have to wait for another dr... and then very rudely and arrogantly stated :" I have to catch a flight.. does that mean anything to you? Go to the hospital if it's an emergency! I understand if he had a flight to catch, the least he could have done is addressed us politely. To be fair I brought my mum in for treatment did that mean anything to him? Why would him catching a flight mean anything to me? We have been coming in for the last 9 to 10 years. I am absolutely appalled by his arrogance.

Dr D Govender 1st visit experience last week was the most unacceptable of behaviours I experienced in my entire life. The most i friendliest welcome one can and have ever experienced as a patient. Dr D Govender unwelcomed me when I myself greeted him as soon as I entered the consultation rooms. He told me he doesn't have time to greet, I'm wasting time by greeting him, it's late. I was the 2nd patient during his 17h00 consultation times.

Dr D Govender is a general practitioner, based at the Mount Edgecombe Plaza. He is kind, patient and considerate with his patients which is a good thing. I found the front desk to not be as friendly and helpful as I would have liked them to be, maybe i just got them on a bad day. Free open parking outside - and the surgery is on ground level - a bonus for patients with mobility problems.

He doesn't do family planning when you are not on your periods lol according to him he's protecting you as he doesn't trust pregnancy tests."Funny thing is that I only got this advice this time around after alot of medical aid patients came in for consultation and it was close to closing time.Wasted 45 minutes of my time waiting for nonsense.

Dr Govender is an amazing doctor, i had been to him once and he diagnosed my problem and gave me meds that helped in in such a small space of time. I had drs in jhb that didnt even help me for the last 1 year but he did it in no time. I rwfwr all my friends and family to hin cos he is amazing..

Very arrogant doctor, has the attitude of nurses in the government hospital, he needs to know that we are paying for our medical aid and he's not doing us a favour but doing his job. I asked him for lozenges as my throat was sore, he told me I don't need it I'll be fine in a few days.

Doctor gave me no antibiotics, I told him I had a chest infection, yet he only gave me Histacon and still pain(to treat a common cold) it's gotten much worse today, ide recommend you see another doctor.

The best Dr ever, even though we moved from this area, we still come to Dr Govendor. He's been our family Dr for the last 5 years and will be for many more years to come. Kind, caring and committed.

I came quite late in the evening and the doctor still consulted with me. Very humble guy. Gave a diagnosis incredibly fast too. Got my medication and was on my way. Will definitely visit again
