Cool experience (not literally because they have no air con), confusing sinage IN the building (shop is in the basement - all the signs have arrows pointing upwards), the basement level is called level 9 while the street level is marked as level 10 but in the map level 9 is ABOVE level 10…..dunno wether that’s a Japanese thing or wether the UX designer was on vacation when the building was build… How ever - the store is nice. All kind of Japanese gizmos and gadgets. They have price conversions signs up to find the price in AUD but unfortunately most products don’t have prices so there is nothing to convert. But since the most expensive item on the conversion table is AU$26 it’s a gamble one can take when shopping there

Someone suggested this place to me for cheap Japanese stationery, which it has (including the bargain basement fountain pen that prompted me). But it has most everything you can think of. Found even the Japanese food ingredients so hard to come by back home in regional NSW. It feels out of the way, but popular with those who know, seeming most of the local community. I offer this review as someone without experience or real knowledge of it, but if you’re like me and Daiso has somehow popped up on your radar, definitely give it a visit - like me, it might take a couple of goes to get it, but you’ll get it.

I saw a sign at the register that said “Credit and EFTPOS $5.60 minimum (American Express not accepted)” so wandered the whole store and ended up buying 3 Daiso items: a small lock (for luggage or a locker), a bamboo kitchen spatula, and a sunglasses case (fake leather). Each cost AUD$2.80! Plenty of great quality items in the store. I’ve been to Daiso stores in Japan and Taiwan, and I would say this selection is comparable. Tons of boba tea shops and Asian food + dessert shops outside and on the other floors of Regent Place so I would suggest this location to check out if you’re looking to eat too.

I walked in not looking for anything in particular but they have some really good nifty things that only Japan could think off. They have everything from containers to makeup to kitchen cutlery to toiletries to stationary. Quite reasonably priced. If you're looking for some handy things or to make things look more friendly around the house, you just might find that at Daiso. I walked out with a couple of lunch boxes, backpack, slippers, lint roller and those refillable bottles for shampoo /body wash. You can spend a good hour in there just looking. Haha

An amazing range of extremely well-priced goods, Daiso offers everything from ceramic dinnerware to quality stationery and even snacks/food. The store is enormous, with extensive options for anything that you need. The staff are nice, with a convenient location in the town hall area. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Daiso to find many great wares at an impressively affordable price.

Had some bad experience before with the differently priced items, luckily I took a picture this time. Always check the price on the screen when you pay - this was marked $6 and it showed up as $8 when I was at the register. Asked the cashier and she says she will get her manager to speak to me - what they did was went to the back and removed the tag showing $6 and claimed it was $8!

This shop is addictive... just warning you! You think you are only going to buy 2 or 3 things that you need; you end up needing to get a basket for the other 10 items you hadn't planned on getting but they look so cool / cute so you had to buy it. Hands down 5 stars, I need to be an investor or become sponsored

Daiso stores have some of the items that are not available elsewhere, so when in Sydney we’d stop and have a browse here. In April 2022 all items were $3.10 each except those with a different price tag. This one is located one level down, the entrance is off 501 George Street or Kent Street.

Nice but always too crowded and busy. I've never been here when the line for the checkout has an extended halfway down the aisle. It's also combined with this Asian grocery thing next door but it all has to line up back at the same place to pay for things.

This Daiso store is located inside The Galleries in Townhall. I prefer this store over other Daiso due to the spacious size. The staff are nice. There are a good range of food and everyday products, though sometimes the stock is not updated quick enough.

I love Daiso! This classic '100 yen shop' is one of Japan's greatest exports, right up there with Japanese food and Japanese people! Every time I visit Daiso, I find great quality stuff that makes my life easier. Very highly recommended! …

Nice bug store, clean and spacious ( although the flow and product placement of items,) , helpful nice staff . Prices have continued to rise tho , I was surprised to see it's ( at the time of this review) up to $3.20 and not all items anymore.

Rude customer service. Was told to 'move and come back later' after I apparently was in the way of a staff member unpacking merchandise around lunchtime today. If only the staff member knew that I didn't live in Sydney and had travelled

This store is my treasure store. Good level of stock comparing other daiso! Most things are $2.80 which is super good price and some are made in Japan (don't know why there is a review commenting "expensive" lol do you think shipping is

  • Bry H

Plenty of options and made in Japan stuff. Would definitely recommend to come when you want to pick up something small for home. We picked up some socks for our chair! Little knick knacks are great and quite well made. Value for money

Daison is really good place to shop. The vast variety of products to choose from. (Stationery, kitchen items, cooking wares, gifts, toiletries, containers etc). The designs are cute and the price is affordable.

The kids absolutely love visiting Daiso each time we go to the city. Shame the other one has closed down as this store is a lot tighter to walk around. We always come out with something we never knew we needed.

  • Paul Bessiris

Some of the nicest Japanese food I've had outside of Japan. The oysters were out of this world, and the pancake was delightful. Everything was priced very reasonably, and I would recommend it.

  • Serena Ung

Great range of food, products and more of a range of products compared to other Daiso stores. Will come back again. The staff were attentive and didn't have to wait in line long at all to pay.

  • Ouy Tang Jong (Tang)

Large range of Japanese-sourced products. Can alittle pricey compared to products that are already generally available elsewhere though. That said it has many things you won't find elsewhere.

  • Urzula Urzua

Very disappointing. Very haphazardly put together. Aisles so close together and stuff on the floor. Very claustrophobic. No Hello Kitty merchandise. Not pleasant to be inside this store.

  • MAHANTESHAKUMAR KITTALI

it's not any cheaper shop now, value starts with 3.1 AUD for each item. I bought Handy mesh case with zipper Socks for bed ware It cost me 6.2 dollars Not sure if it is worth it.

  • Col N

No.1 go to store for cheap homewares, the only problem with this George St store is that it stinks! They need to fix the sewage system as the smell permeates through the store

  • YH Chan

Surprisingly large shop for a city location. First time there. It took the place of an old cinema. Workers there were helpful. A 100 yen shop basically. Bought a grabbers here

  • Reynaldi Hadianto

The only daiso left in cbd. Spacious and have mostly everything. Prices varied and some are a bit more expensive than the normal price. Also have snacks and drinks section.

  • Rhys Travel

They have a great amount of stuff to browse through. Daiso in Australia isn't the cheapest in Asia Pacific. The indoor slippers look good to try and not too expensive.

For the staff name Aoron Mardika,a men who wearing the glasses, very rude attitude and no any patience towards customer, i meet him 2 times, 2 times was very rude face

  • Biohazard

A good place to shop. Lots of little things like tools, car things, Japanese foods drinks. Cheap too as most things are under $10. I always walk out buying something

  • M Reyes

Great place to get cute things from trinkets to personal effects to kitchen and dinnerwares to school and office supplies. It's a one stop shop.

  • Marilyn Lawson-James

Love this store. There really is an item for every need. I always spend more than i intend to, but it's just great. Love it, love it, love it.

  • Ahmed Siddiqui

Bigger than the daiso we have in Phoenix, AZ Not necessarily better priced but just has more products and cooler and more useful things.

  • Giulio Campobassi

Discovered Daiso recently. Lots of cheap knock knacks for Xmas and Japanese/Asian sweets. Tucked away in the cinema district.

  • Jane Brooker (4 pairs of itchy feet)

Daiso is always a fun experience. Lots of knock naks to browse at and things you just don't find everywhere.

  • δϮυ .'J

This place is great, shelves choc-a-blok everything is priced. Staff are a bit hard to find tho...
