Crowded!! But hey there's a lot of Longhorn fans out here. Seeing all the tailgatiers is interesting. Walking down the street looking at what the vendors are selling is fun. They could definitely use better info on where you are and where you need to go in order to find your seat. We walked completely around the entire building because we could not find the Recs Sports Center so we could get our wrist bands and attend a pregame party. Still have no clue where that place was. The seating I have to say is awful. There is little room between you and the row infront and in back of you. Good forbid you have to use the bathroom or want another beer or food. You will have the hardest time making your way to the isle. The seats are number way to close to one another. You do not have any room between you and the stranger on your left or right. The seats are designed for elementary school sized kids. They only accept cash at every vendor inside the stadium. From the beer troughs to the food vendors to the Dippin dots, you better have a credit card in your wallet or your going to stay thirsty, hungry and extremely hot. Food and drinks are extremely pricey. I bought 2 orderes of brisket nachos and my total was $52.00. Yes that included gratuity but let me assure everyone I did not tip them $30 bucks. For me I either need to get tickets in a suite or just stay home and watch the game. I was way to hot and had to much trouble trying to go from my seat to the vendors when I needed something. My group and I did have a great time because we all know the Longhorns won that game against Alabama. It was fun and exciting but also exhausting. Traffic is HORRIBLE going to and from the game. Roads are closed off and the pedestrians walk where they want and when they want whether it's their turn to go or not. They need more police officers directing traffic for sure. Again a great experience but an expensive one. If you haven't gone to a Longhorn game it's worth going to at least once. I'm just here to tell you thoughts on the stadium.

Greatness!!!!! The updates they have done over the last 25 years have been incredible. I first went to a game there in 1973. For the next 25 years, underneath the west side where the concessions are were incredibly dark and dank. There were always puddle of water and leaks from who knows where. The bathrooms were unpleasant and the concession fare was spare. Ow there are no leaks or puddles of water. It’s much brighter with nicer paint. The restrooms have been updated and are reasonably nice considering over 100k people are there every week. The offerings of concessions have increased greatly! Outside the stadium pre-game festivities are incredible!!! There are things for kids of all ages and adults. Longhorn City Limits has the best bands. Get there early to see everything including watching the band, Bevo, and the team come in! There are two things I think are negatives. One not much can be done about it. It gets flipping hot in September. All games should be night games in September. It’s brutal. TV is the driving force and it’s difficult for the University to turn down the money. Putting together 10-12 wins seasons every year will mean more night games. Fortunately my season tickets are always in the shade for earlier starts. The other thing I would change is that the upper level concessions on the lower deck of the west side is incredibly limited. Plenty of beer. No cotton candy or ice cream for the kids, all soft drinks are in bottles (no souvenir cups with ice which really helps on the hot days), and it’s all self-pay. You place all the items you wish to purchase on a counter and it takes a picture of it and totals your items. That’s pretty cool actually. Still love this place!

Darrell K Royal Stadium is a true gem for any football enthusiast. From the moment you step into the stadium, you can feel the energy and history that fills the air. The seating arrangements offer excellent views from almost every angle, ensuring you won’t miss a moment of the action. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall positive experience. What truly sets this stadium apart, however, is the passionate and dedicated fan base. The camaraderie among the crowd creates an electric atmosphere that’s contagious. The concessions are diverse, offering a range of options to cater to various tastes. And the staff, from ticketing to security, are friendly and helpful, making sure every visitor feels welcome. Whether you’re a die-hard Longhorns fan or just a football enthusiast looking for a memorable game day experience, Darrell K Royal Stadium delivers in spades. It’s a venue that truly embodies the spirit of college football.

Came here as a fan of a visiting team. It is a very cool stadium. I was impressed with the design, layout, amenities, and the massive endzone screen. Texas fans were generally friendly and welcoming. The upper bowl is STEEP, to the point that my brother actually got a bit of vertigo while we were finding our seats. I took off one star for the ramp we had to ascend to get to the upper bowl, and the leaky urinal/trough in the bathroom. The ramp was obviously made to be wheelchair friendly, which is great, but there was no other option that we could find. The ramp was shallow enough that it was probably a half mile of walking just to make it to the upper seating area. I would've taken a set of stairs in a heartbeat.

We've watched many Texas football games, as well as several marching band contests here since the early 2000s. Always had a fun time and made great memories, especially during the 2005 football season. Staff have always been helpful with any questions about tickets or seating location. Even though the stadium has been around since the 1920s, it has seen many upgrades to make it modern. We miss watching football in-person and tailgating around the grounds this year, but look forward to this upcoming season. One of my favorite things to do before a Texas game is to hangout on the north side of the stadium about 30 minutes before the game and watch the Longhorn Band march into DKR. They really get the crowd pumped up before the game!

Darrel K Royal Memorial Stadium is one of the 10 largest stadiums and sits on the University of Texas at Austin campus called the 40 Acres. This is a wonderful stadium for enjoying at College football game but we were lucky enough to enjoy a commencement ceremony of the 2023 graduating class of the University of Texas. There was much pomp and circumstance, fireworks long winded speeches, and standing in lines....long lines. But we were excited to celebrate the graduation of Love Muwwakkil from the school of Fine Arts with a Master's Degree in fine arts for dance. You are an inspiration to so many, I'm so lucky and honored to be a part of your life. Congratulations to you and all the graduates. Love you.

We had tickets in the Terrace club and the free food was all OK. But the options are so many. Popcorn, candy, sodas, teas, coffee, breakfast food, lunch food, fresh carved brisket, chicken and turkey. Plus the bars have 3 people working at the two bars so the lines are never a long wait. The Terrace seats all have seat backs so they are way more comfortable than sitting on a stadium bench. Overall it's the best experience in college football in my opinion. If you've never been to a college game, you have to come, you won't be dissappointed!

When an opportunity to see a major college football stadium was present while on a southern US road trip, I made sure to stop by. Such was the case while in Austin. While visiting the state capitol building, I could see this stadium in the distance. We drove to the stadium and found a spot where I could quickly get out of the car and walk around the outside of the stadium. Wish we would have had more time to see more of the stadium and campus.

Great atmosphere to enjoy when watching the Longhorns play Football against their opponent. The Energy of the Crowd and of course the Fanatic Student Section and there Wild antics is a lifetime memorable experience. I truly enjoy watching the Longhorns play while up in the Centennial Club. It's like having your own huge suite with 1,000 of your College Football Junkies!! Lol The Bevo experience and History behind Bevo is cool knowledge about a Mascot that's always chilling

Hook’em Horns! A great college football experience. Make sure to arrive early to catch the pregame show. The band and hype reels do not disappoint. Grab food or beer right before the end of the first quarter as the lines can get long quick. Don’t sleep on halftime either. The band always puts on a good show. Parking is a mess- your best bet is parking about a mile a way and walking if you don’t want to spring for the $40 garages that are about a quarter to half mile away.

After graduating from UT in 1979 and subsequently moving to Germany, this was my first time back to watch a Longhorn game against Wyoming. What a change in 44 years! The stadium is absolutely impressive and the game show awesome. It was an honor and absolute pleasure to visit the stadium and watch a great game. Once a Longhorn, always a Longhorn.

This place seats 101000 spectators. Two sections are reserved for students, one for the band. There are no seat backs, bench type seating but surprisingly comfortable and easy to get up for more beer. This place does serve alcohol and food, prices slightly better than mainstream NFL. The Longhorns play a great game, the stadium is awesome There is also great merch here,

Fun stadium with decent fans. Had a little issue with the bleacher seats and the group next to us trying to squeeze a couple extra adults in the row. The group on the other side of us was friendly though and actually told us that the group to our left had that habit. The concessions were not that pricey for a stadium.

An experience every college football fan should attend. Large stadium that has a great pre-game activity area. Great food options. Food and drink prices are extremely cheap compared to most stadiums. Encourage sitting lower bowl, upper sections are a long ways from the field. Game experience outside the game, not terribly exciting. Great fans!

Was in Austin and got the opportunity to attend the UT vs. Alabama Game (9/10/22). AND it was the first time I had ever seen an American football game live. Incredible experience. Stadium holds over 100K people and it was PACKED. And seeing a full stadium with their "horn" fingers in the air is quite a sight. There was also a US air force flyover and beforehand, the action on Bevo Blvd was amazing as well. Super fun day!!!

It’s been years since I’ve gotten the opportunity to enjoy a Longhorns football game, opposed to working them with a staffing agency! DKR—tons of stairs if you get the good seats! Loud and proud Texans. Well stocked merchandise,l and food choices! We’ll be back soon!

Amazing experience especially at night. It’s definitely a bucket list trip to see the Longhorns play. There are tons of things to do on the midway. The band is elite and put on a great show. The football is always fun. Make sure to catch a night game at DKR.

Huge stadium, great food served with lots of food options. Prices seem to be reasonable. I have never attended a college football game with so much school pride and team pride. Can be a whole day event walking through the vendors outside of the stadium, finding your seat, watching the marching band and just enjoying the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend returning again

  • Michael Barton

This is easily one of the biggest and most aethetically pleasing stadiums in college football. Over the 2020 off season a new scoreboard and seating area was constructed which turned out beautifully. The restrooms are a bit dated but that's really the only knock on the stadium. Sit on the west side to avoid the sun because it gets HOT sitting on the east side.

  • E. ROSS

Electric atmosphere from the tailgating to the carnival rides to the games and food. I hadn't been to a game in YEARS and it's nothing like it used to be when I was in school. How fun!

This place is the GOAT of college stadiums, I will admit! Came to see the UTSA game and was impressed with the size and the areas of history were the most impressive. Food stalls could use a little help but lots of choices due to the size of this place. Lots to do outside the stadium and very family friendly too.

  • James Stewart

I only rate it so low because of bleacher seats, which is all of college football. Also, shuttle serviced leave much to be desired, which is understandable with the size of the DKR audience and location near downtown Austin I would imagine us an logistics nightmare.Otherwise, a very enjoyable atmosphere. I have been to many college football stadiums. This was a decent stadium. Good price for liter waters. The only problem is parking and the directing of traffic after the game. Doesn’t seem to have a good system in place. Overall the stadium

I didn't come here to attend a game, I worked the game. This was my first time here. While it's pretty nice, it's a death trap. You aren't allowed to bring in almost anything from outside to try and force sales of their merch. This weekend

Always a great experience. Lots of things to do and see and eat. Prices at the concessions weren't bad but the restaurants and fast food places that had spots inside were over priced. $38 for might fine for just two of us. Hook Em.

New end zone disappoints. The curtains in the windows have a third world vibe and feel communistic. Not sure who is responsible for this but they left their unfortunate mark. Also the sound system is grainy.
