Absolutely appalling service. Avoid at all costs! We chose Davisons to represent us during the process of buying our first flat. The firm was introduced to us by our Mortgage Advisor, who had not worked with them before but had them available in his system, but has now, given the experience, eliminated them from it. The quality of their work was poor from day one: inaccuracies in the documentation (including substantial errors with my name) documents not sent on time and keeping us in the dark for weeks, not even acknowledging our emails. When issues were escalated to senior members of staff, they were all by dismissed and we didn't even receive an apology. Once the purchase was completed, after lots of backs and forths, we never received our documentation (deeds, etc.) which they affirmed were sent shortly after. Upon receiving a letter from them enclosing one last document months after, I realised that they had, once again, not used my surname in the documentation, so I emailed them to solve it. Waited two more months with no response until I decided to escalate the issue again, an things became even more of a circus. Sue McCusker, on behalf of Mr Gary Davison himself, sent a further email once again denying any fault, arguing that having the wrong name on the paperwork was no issue and, when I contested, their response was childish enough to say something along the lines that I should not complain about inaccuracies since my emails to them also contained several typos (yes, I normally type them from my phonebon a train, like this review): a very unprofessional response and also ridiculous since my emails are not official documents! If that wasn't enough, I was also told that the held no copies of my documents as they were sent but, if I wanted to retrieve them, I could pay a fee and they would get them dor me. All in all, I give tem 1 star because I cannot give 0, and I would be inclined consider the several 5 star reviews above as, more than likely, fakes to raise their profile. Once again, avoid this firm at all costs!

At the beginning of our home-buying process, our experience with Davisons was very stressful and incredibly slow. However our solicitor, Charlotte Hatch, turned things around once we figured out the best way to get in touch with her, and after we had impressed upon her our urgency as our rental lease was expiring. After that, it was mostly smooth sailing from her part, and the rest of the waiting was mainly from the seller's solicitors. At first... calls were not returned (granted we didn't leave a voice message with every call), we had to send multiple emails to get an answer, and when we called the main line at Davison's the secretaries would say they would let our solicitor know we called, but she never got those messages (this happened multiple times throughout the process). We had to escalate via our real estate agent when things weren't moving, and we did have nearly a 2- week stagnant delay when we had already submitted our initial payment yet none of the searches were started because they said we hadn't submitted payment, plus our solicitor was OOO. The escalation did get taken care of though and the searches started before she was back from holiday. After a conversation where we asked the best way to get in contact (eg. leaving voices messages on her machine and sending emails), we rarely waited more than a couple of days for a response. Charlotte was also very thorough in her enquiries and did plenty of follow-up with the seller's solicitors when they were not responding. One thing I'd like to also see Davison's implement is perhaps giving clients a summary of how the process will occur. Buying your first home is intimidating enough but we were constantly asking 'when is X due', 'when do we do Y step?' 'how does Z work'? Thanks for your work Charlotte, we love our new home!

Do not use Davidsons Quality Birmingham at any costs !! Absolutely shocking service from start to finish. Well not finished 7 months on l still have not had our names transferred by Land Registry. One excuse after another, didn’t even send my name to be registered, rookie error, lack of communication or action. Made a complaint 3 times, no response! Spoke for over an hour with someone who said they would investigate and email me back. A week later still waiting, l had to correct paperwork on many occasions, always out of office or don’t respond to voice mails or emails. Don’t be fooled by all those nice testimonials on their website, my son used them both recommended by Purple Bricks and he had the same issues. Absolute horrendous customer service l will now be complaining to the ombudsman, their delays and lies, which l can prove meant l missed the stamp duty holiday and nearly lost the sale of a property. Flash office looks professional, but believe me total second rate service. Patience has run out with their lack of customer care, l fell totally ripped off !!

Adam Kerr and his team were the best conveyancing solicitors we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. When complex issues hindered our sale and also a 2nd purchase Adam was always on the ball and his positive and great communication skills mean't that issues were quickly resolved leading to a sale and purchase within the timescales we wanted. I would highly recommend Adam's services to anyone interested in selling their property. Have used Adam twice and both times his service and proactiveness has been excellent. It's very true you get what you pay for and paying for such a great team to work on the conveyancing proved this hands down. Beat all the budget online solicitors who were causing delays hands down.

Avoid this firm like the plague. Davisons are unresponsive, unhelpful and unreliable. My experience as their client has been unbelievably bad. Have used numerous solicitors over the years and this firm is by far the worst. I made a simple request and 4 weeks, 21 phone calls, 5 emails later...I still haven't had even the courtesy of a phone call or an email in response. Nothing! The ladies on reception are very nice and seem genuinely to want to help, but the higher ups at the firm couldn't care less about their clients it would seem. Even the complaints team are unresponsive! Honestly, steer absolutely clear of this lot. Take your business elsewhere.

While the process was fairly straightforward I found communication lacking it would take several phone calls and emails to get an update. After completion I received a penalty from HMRC related to the legal process offered by QS Davisons. While this issue was eventually explained I found communication to be a problem. As I write this review I'm still waiting to hear back from QS Davidson's on an update. Wouldn't recommend purely because the communication isn't very good. Communication with your client should be a priority

Although the process of buying a home can be intensely stressful, Davies law provided me with calmness and reassurance. Absolutely appalling! unprofessional, sold my house with a restriction on it, denied I have existed and threatened to sue me if I took legal advice against them. This has since resulted in them not replying to my solicitors. Bearing in mind 6 months before I paid them for conveyancing for the same property and the deposit etc for the house (MY LIFE SAVINGS)... Now I have been threated by the new owners as they have been sold a property with no legal entitlement to. WOW!!!

Scott Wilkinson of Davisons Law is by far the best conveyancer I have ever worked with. Having moved house a number of time over the years I was expecting the usual average solicitor service where I have to spend all the time doing the chasing. Scott and his team were everything you should expect from a top service. They kept me informed of every part of the process, I never had to chase anything and the whole process was incredibly efficient. I would highly recommend.

Avoid avoid avoid!!! Go with someone who isn’t hard to get hold of, poor at communicating and generally flakey. Unprofessional and unorganised , they’ll let you down and you’ll be left chasing them for a resolution . Really poor outfit and not to be trusted if attention to detail or expediency are important to you.
