Honestly, DeVry has done well for me. An accredited university that offers all online classes. It is fantastic when you are unable to sacrifice work to further your education. The programs offered are what you make of it, same as any other school; rather, the same can be said for most things in life. DeVry is pushing for more group activities in most of their courses now and I think it is a fantastic move. You will learn how to work multiple people across multiple time zones and coordinate major projects together. As with anything group related, people tend to fear group projects yet, I have only had good, hard-working people. Most people I've dealt with at DeVry have been strongly professional. From the students to the staff, to include the professors. I have learned a plethora of information from this university and I think everyone can if they put forth the same amount of effort as they would for a traditional four-year university. Of course there are some minor issues, such as cost. One thing to keep in mind is that it is a private university, i.e. for profit. That does not change the criteria and the information obtained. In my opinion, it is unfortunate for those who have a negative review. They have either been incredibly unlucky or they are upset for personal reasons against the school. I attended DeVry in the past and have had some negative experiences so, I stopped going. I have since continued and am currently in my final semester. A lot has changed and I feel it is really for the better. A word to the wise, it is a very self-driven system. So if you lack the ability to sit yourself down, set some time aside, then you may want to either reconsider for the sake of your time and money. Work hard and the results will show.

I used to attend a private college in Naperville that was not catering to my interests and educational needs, so after taking a year break I found DeVry University. I ended up moving outside of the city of Chicago and commuting to this campus just for the professors, even though there was a smaller campus closer to my house in O'Hare that I took some general ed classes at for the convenience. The technology programs are amazing! I had no interest at all in programming until I took my very first class in VB and fell in love with the concepts. The professors in the IT programming/security/networking fields are very supportive and attentive to your needs and learning growth. Professor Nana Liu, in particular, always encouraged me to try harder and guided me in the right direction. When it came down to our Senior Project, it wasn't a research or a mock project -- we were programming for real and working with the client to meet an end goal. It felt like a job rather than just an 10 week project! I graduated in July of 2016 and started contracting for a packaging company immediately in September. Now I am salaried full-time at the same company and loving what I do. I am very grateful for DeVry University for getting me where I am now. I grew with my classmates for 2 years and graduated with some of the coolest, like-minded people I've ever met - it was a truly great experience.

Many people think that success is an individual task. Although many times it may be, there are instances where support is available. During my journey at DeVry I was provided the support, drive and appreciation I believe a student needs to continue their education through the hard times. I loved being a student here and have no regrets. One of my best places to be was at the Student Central office. Where I was acknowledged with kindness and respect. Here, I spoke to my advisor Cissy Marcano, who provided me with the academic avenues of my education. She walked me thru all the steps necessary to complete my degree, in addition to providing me alternative choices per classes. She is great at what she does. She handled my education with compassion and a respect that made me feel as though I can do this. She took the time out of her schedule to meet with me and answer any questions I had about my endeavor, in addition to becoming a friend. As I said before, some say success is an individual task. However, when the support of a great person and a structured path is in front of you all of your goals become clearer and the achievement of them becomes stronger. Thank You Student Central and DeVry, and with much appreciation and thanks to Cisssy...

I have been going to this schoool for over a year and so far it haas been a great experience, the professors are very profesional, knowlwgeable, and they care about the succes of their students. The whole staff has been very helpful. I also like that there are tutors available for us students in case we need some extra help in a subject. Also, I like the fact that the classes are small, with an average of less than 20 students, which helps move the class along and the professor its able to interact better with students. DeVry also introduces tech to students like the Jibo, and Vertual technology which the students can use, while also offering games, pool tables and things for students to have a bit of fun and relax. furthermore, DeVry offers free parking and plenty of it too, I have been to other schools where this was not offered and I would always lose at least a half hour of my day looking for parking. Thanks DeVry!! I'm proud to be a student here. Keep up the great work !!!

DeVry was a great online and on-site combination school. The professors actually care about their student's success. The fact that the ones teaching are actually in the field of study as a career gave me more motivation to continue my education. The layout in which we submitted our work was very user friendly and my senior project was not only beneficial to my career success but it was fun and my classmates actually worked well together which bodes well for the future. I really enjoyed my time with everyone and hope to see the in the future. If I had to be critical of one area it would be that the grading scales would differ class to class. Which in my opinion is actually good because you know that the school was making sure the class and content was up to date. Being able to go to school from different devices phone, computer, or even a paper back made my school experience more learning and less headaches.

Professor Lauren Dean has been a God sent this term!!! I am currently 8 months pregnant and the past two weeks I have been having major tech issues. The IT department has let me down multiple times, but my professor has been nothing short of amazing. I have 4 kids already and the stress of a new baby alone is enough for people not to want to continue my education at this time, but Prof Dean has made sure that I not only succeed but that I thrive!!! If it was not for her I could not have continued my education. She has personally reached out to me regarding things that I have going on in my personal life regardless of what she has going on. I would recommend Devry to anyone that is able to go to an online university. Online courses are what you make them, if you are not self motivated online colleges are not for you. Thank you Prof Dean for all that you have done and will continue to do for others!!!

Being almost 30 I was absolutely terrified by the thought of going back to school, and even finding the time now being a mother of 2 and working full-time. That all changed when I submitted for more information online and was contacted by Lakeva Morganfield. Her support and encouragement going through the whole enrollment process and any "ridiculous" question I had she has taken great care of all my needs. I absolutely love her, she has gone above and beyond this being just her job, her commitment is phenomenal. Not only was I was fortunate to have one great contact, I've also a fantastic student support adviser Kristen Heyes, who's down to earth personality always keeps phone conversations enjoyable. Overall I would recommend these two fantastic ladies to any of my friends, I hope to keep contact with both of them during my time with DeVry. -Kayla Frank

I started DeVry in 2013 and my Masters in 2017. During my Journey at DeVry there was one constant person who helped me through my Journey that is my Student Support Adviser Albert Gutierrez. Albert Gutierrez really kept me on track and was always so positive and helpful when we met for scheduling classes and talking about the progress of my classes. His professionalism and positiveness really give Keller and DeVry in my opinion a great value to the institution. I hope Keller and Devry is reading this and give their student Advisers like Albert Gutierrez the recognition they deserve. Albert Gutierrez thank you for leading and advising me in my Journey through Devry and Keller you made something that seemed impossible in my mind possible by pushing me and providing encouragement of support your words were always, "You can do this Keep going." Thank you

I really proud to be graduating from DeVry University. I have best experience with all the students, staffs and Professors. All professors are highly talented and professional. They are always tends to help every students. Overall experience was more than I expected from Chicago campus. Especially, with the senior project of this university was wonderful. My major is Computer information systems with concentration in software programming. During senior project, we had great chance to apply our knowledge and skills earned from DeVry university into the real life. We worked with Fly with Butch O’Hare project during our senior project, which is really great opportunity to put our selves in real world. I am really thankful to DeVry University to allow us this wonderful opportunity.

This is going to be horrible! I know and have confidence with school because I'm intelligent and ingenuitive, but it's the DeVry format that is completely obnoxious. There's at least seven different websites and it's really hard to grasp. They say they're trying to make it easier but it truly makes everything so complicated. There was not one step where I was comfortable with any of their pages, none are the same and I should have known first off when I couldn't find the sign in button; it took three steps and a couple frustrated calls, and I still don't know where I found it because it's under a misnomer like student services or something very generic. If you that was even a small amount of how frustrating I have found the set up, you are about ten times wrong.

Working the Kim Thompson has been a plum, pleasing pleasure! Her attentiveness to the needs of her students is absolutely TOP NOTCH! When considering returning to school, Kim was extremely instrumental in helping me through the process. When I had a difficult situation with an instructor, Kim was able to point me in the right direction for assistance. She is very professional, caring, understanding, an excellent listener, great personality and most importantly RESPONSIVE! Each time I've ever called, I've never waited more than 24 hours to get a response. If you've not experienced Kim Thompson, you've not had Student Advising... Yes, that's just how much faith I have in her abilities. ~Demetra "Current Student"

When I graduated in 2004 the teachers were great but many of the students who got in based on grants/tuition and money and not academics thought they could breeze through and get a job after graduation. Not the case you get out what you put in. The teachers are all leaders of industry so if you pay attention you get a good education the problem is 2 things the degree has a technology at the end of it so it's not truly engineering and even if it was the market is saturated with people looking for these jobs get certified by Cisco comptia and other respected certification providers and save alot of money! The pay will be there without the years of schooling! Trust me! I'm still paying student loans!!

Kim Y. Thompson | Sr. Execute Admissions Advisor is the best Admission Advisor! She has gone above and beyond to assist me. She has made my experience with DeVry thus far one of the best. I have had the best experience at Keller Graduate School of Management because the Professors are experts in their fields and the employees are wanting to see everyone succeed. My graduate advisor Albert Gutierrez has always been there when I needed him and had first hand knowledge about the classes, while encouraging me to graduate with honors. I loved the class options for online and onsite and as a professional, this helped me to succeed in my busy day life. I have recently graduated with honors and the support does not end at graduation, this school provides a lifetime committemnt and helping every one succeed.

  • Rebecca Hughes

Just finished my first round of online classes. Had one teacher that was helpful, and one that was not. Online classes are not for the meek. You will need to put your all in to make it happen. I have never heard from my student advisor, who was supposed to call me. I finally found another student advisor to help answer some questions, and solved some issues I was having. She went above and beyond to fix things for me. Her name is Allison de la Garza. If you decide to attend Devry, I recommend requesting Allison as your advisor. I am hoping to be assigned to her!

  • Eddie Coleman

My experience here at Devry has been wonderful, everyone is willing to work with you to help keep your grades up and keep your GPA in good standards. The falculty and staff is amazing and very welcoming and are truly the best. So far I love this school and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to attend college and have a busy schedule. You can definitely maintain a busy schedule and school with the classes being 2 months long. I have a wonderful student advisor Alex who is helping me maintain wonderful grades and keeping me on the road to graduate.

  • Savannah Perez

This is my first session at Devry University and I am extremely happy that I picked Devry to finish my education. Every department has been very helpful, friendly and helps in a timely manner. One of my first online courses was Critical Thinking with Dr. Jon Gorgosz, he was amazing. Always very helpful, engaged in the discussion and answered every question that we had. Every university needs a professor like Dr. Jon Gorgosz. I am looking forward to graduating with a bachelor's degree in computer information systems at Devry University.

  • Tim Raysby

My experience has been all positive at DeVry. I have spent most of my in-class time at the Addison location with a majority of classes taken at a self-pace online which I loved. This Chicago location is beautiful and open, the commute was my only issue from Naperville. My expectations were fully met from a learning standpoint being a part-time employee (~30 hours a week) and taking two classes a session at a time. I enjoyed taking classes onsite when available because of the connections and networking opportunities.

  • Salma Elamin

I just graduated and my over all experience with Keller Graduate school was amazing. I like all my professors and I appreciate all the effort they do, Professor Michael Komos for HRM is very knowledgeable in his field, great job teaching the class, I learned a lot. Also my advisor Albert Gutierrez was amazing, I really appreciate all his help, suport and explanation in both the academic and financial aspects, always available to help me and advise me with all my concerns and guide me through any process I need.

  • Nhi Le

I have got great experience at DeVry Chicago Campus. I studied in this campus for most of my classes. They have modern technology, especially the video connected classroom. Professors are dedicated to students’ success, they take good care of students and give students great lessons. They not only share professional knowledge but also train students soft skills like time management, team work, and public speaking. My favorite class was Senior Project of Professor Rucks. The staff is frendly and helpful.

  • Traveler San Antonio

Devry is the worst school i have ever been too. they let there students fail instead of helping them succeed. The Tutors suck and in stead of helping the students get help and having them understanding the subjects at hand the decide to kick them out of class, and why kick them out of class when im the one paying for this crap, you know i see all these lawsuits against devry on the internet i think i might take in on that action. what a way to make learning fun yeah lets kick people out of school.

  • Earl Turner

My first of many courses at DeVry was a Critical Thinking and Problem Solving class. My instructor was Professor Lauren Deane, and I can honestly say it was a great learning experience. The course was very informative and well paced. I particularly enjoyed the consistent feedback on each assignment submitted from the instructor, it was very well received. Most online classes feel very distant, but with this course I felt like the class had real interaction with each other and the instructor.

  • Quinton Williams

Being a student on the Devry campus has not only brought me many monumental opportunities, but has increased my ability to be the best that I can be. The campus is an inviting place which holds great places to study, work together with other students and houses many technical equipment for research purposes. Coming to Devry will help students develop to reach their full potential and thrive in the work force. It is a place where success is bound and where you are sure to prosper.

  • Shital Chaudhary

DeVry University has the best courses with excellent professors. They are very flexible on your schedule and will work with you to fix any problem. Highly recommend for anyone. Career Development course taught by Laurden Dean is a really great course. She's taught me how to build a resume, cover letter, thank you letters, opening a linkedIn profile, connecting with people on linkedIn, and how to answers questions for job interview! The class will boost up your confidence!

  • SOPHIA

DEVRY IS A GREAT UNIVERSITY TO ATTEND!!! THE CLASS SCHEDULES ARE FLEXIBLE OFFERING BOTH ONLINE AND ON CAMPUS CLASESS. I REALLY ENJOYED ON CAMPUS CLASS BUSN 115 WITH PROFESSOR BONNIE RUCKS. SHE REALLY KNOWS HOW TO KEEP STUDENTS ENGAGED AND ATTENTIVE. I TOOK HER CLASS IN THE EVENING ,AFTER A LONG DAY OF WORK, AND I ACTUALLY LOOKED FORWARD TO COMING TO CLASS. I ALSO TAKE ONLINE CLASSES DUE TO A BUSY WORK SCHEDULE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND DEVRY UNIVERSITY.

  • Moustapha Fane

Very Satisfied with DeVry Chicago Campus. Came here 2 years ago, not expecting to be well-guided since it is called a for-profit University. I was lead by the best advisor and taught by great professors. Anyone looking to attend a college should go to DeVry Chicago Campus and make sure to speak to Albert Guiterez. You will have fun learning and be done "Quickly" thanks to his guidance. Definitely coming back for my MASTER degree in Information System.

  • Zaya Zaya

I am an international student. Three years ago, I started studying at Devry University. I still remember how it was a difficult first time. But that time, my great advisor, Albert Gutierrez helped me a lot. He is so friendly, and professional. Just a few days ago, I had graduated. I couldn't imagine completing my degree without his help. Thank you so much, Albert for helping me a lot. And thank you all professor, for opening my eyes. Love Devry!

  • Mariee Peraino

Financial services lies to students about their account where they put the money. Devry University got sue last year charging other people problems from 10 years, 15 years, 20 years and 30 years ago to much money. Charge new student their fees from the past between 10 years ago thru 30 years ago student. Always hide money from current student and give it to students from past 10 years thru 30 years, that is fraud right there.

  • Justin C

Senior at DeVry University. I've benefited from the transition from conventional teaching styles to a learner-centered approach. With the help of the instructors, I could apply principles taught to real-world applications. I've had many influential professors, but, three in particular stand out: Professor's Bonnie Rucks, Sugarman, and Sabada K. Thanks for the continued dedication to the success of your students!!!

  • Yoli Roldan

I've been at DeVry for about 3 years. Throughout my time there I've had a very positive experience. The advisor that has helped me is Cissy Marcano from the Chicago campus. Cissy has been very kind and patient with me throughout. Everytime I had questions, she was more than willing to help me. She's great at pointing you in the right direction when so many times I did not know which classes to choose.

  • Jason Alexander

I was advised out of all of my loan money. I couldn't complete my program, and now I'm in debt with no degree. I mentioned then that I didn't have a lot left to borrow and I wanted to complete an associate program because I knew that would be covered, but they lead me to believe I could get a bachelor with the money I had left. Just another corporation only about the bottom line. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!

  • Dylan Saucedo

Overall I found my time at DeVry to be acceptable. It did help me learn skills that I will take into the field that I want to get into it, and felt like a good starting place. That said, the experience can be hit or miss depending on who is teaching you. Also, as another reviewer said, DO NOT take online courses. On site courses are better in learning the material, and in getting help if need be.

  • Alec Zorn

The campus is beautiful and the professors are great! If you're interested in doing any sort of programming, whether it be web development, software engineering, database management, or cyber security, you will not be disappointed in all the professors knowledge and professionalism. I highly recommend DeVry to anyone looking to get their degree quick and get into the workforce.

  • Sheliza Keshwani

My experience at DeVry University has been great. Each class runs for two months, which makes the semesters go by really fast. The faculty and staff is very committed and knowledgeable. This Chicago campus is very beautiful and welcoming. I'd really recommend this campus to everyone. Also, a shout out to Albert Gutierrez, he's a great student advisor at this location.

  • Arthur Messick

Devry is a great place to get a degree at. It has the flexibility of taking online and onsite classes. The classes are fast paced with 8 week courses and excellent instructors. Really, the stars of DeVry are the instructors, they all have real world experience and want to teach. I did not have even one teacher who I thought was an average professor.

  • Ziad Adam

I took most of my classes at this campus and I just love it! The staff is very helpful and respectful, and you as a student are so respected by professors and the staff. My Senior project was the best experience I have ever had at DeVry. I just graduated from DeVry, and I am thinking about getting a Master's degree from there as well.

  • Erik Auzins

I am a DeVry University student for two years I am in my major mastering in c++, Programming, etc,. I am also a member of a student organization titled DeVry Organization for the community; it is a non profit organization to help the youth an community as a whole. Great school for smart kids. Love seeing a school that is not Ghetto! NO FIGHTS, KIDS ACT PROPER! I RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL. ONLY FOR JUNIORS AND SENIORS. NO LOWER CLASSMEN ATTEND SCHOOL. Mrs. SCHMIDT FROM OFFICE IS AWESOME AND SO IS ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL MS. ACRAMEN. THE LADY SECURITY THAT ATTENDS THE EAST DOOR IS BEYOND NICE TOO!

  • Courtney Miller

Being that this is my first time online Professor Gorgosz was my instructor for critically thinking and he definitely help expands my horizons , he was very informative , quick to respond, if individuals didn’t understand he was very knowledgeable to help , I would recommend his class any day to online and onsite students

  • Eric Rapp

Felix who is an advisor at this campus is the guy you need to see if you want to make a game plan for your path here at DeVry. His patients and willingness to spend an hour with me to figure out the best plan for my classes for a lot of sessions means a lot. If you are struggling to find the best path Felix is your guy!

  • Steven Luevano

I have been working on my bachelor's degree with Devry and cannot be more pleased with my experience so far. All my teachers have been extremely helpful and have provided many experiences and lessons I can continue to use moving forward. I highly recommend classes with professors Bonnie Rucks and Lauren Deane!

  • Peter Martinez-B

Too many high school students. And too many kids that dont understand how to control themselves in public places. It is expensive so get your general credits done at your local community college. And than figure out whats best for you. They do have some really good teacher at the Chicago campus. Good luck!

  • Luis _

My Senior project experience was great. I got exposed to real world work place environment. Lead/work with a team of my piers. The benefits of work there was invaluable. You have to put in to get the most out of though. Professor Nana Liu is a great professor there look to enroll in her classes.

  • Jasmine Smith

  • Roland Hall

After spending all my Grant money I left Devry Engineering for a cheaper less prosperous College The Curriculum their was almost as difficult as Devrys' so far no job still looking. I have a lot of personal problems now anyway so keep trying and don't give up if at all possible.

  • Rock Redeemed

I am currently a senior here and I am thoroughly impressed with the unique program that they offer here at DeVry. I was hesitant about starting college, but I realized that the program structure has made it easier for me to finish, even as a full time mom of 4 young children.

  • Matthew Connolly

As a soon to be graduate I have really enjoyed my experiences at DeVry. In my senior project I was given a chance to work closely with O'Hare Airport on an app development team. This was a really great opportunity and I now feel like I have the skills needed to get a career.

  • Jomar Vega

DeVry is all about what you make it out to be. If you have the drive and motivation to study and work hard, DeVry is a great place to learn and make connections with people who are already in the industry. Go in with a positive attitude and expect a positive experience!

  • Kamelia Reeves

So far my interactions with DeVry University have been great! The process in getting set up with a program and information broke down for me to understand everything that is going on has been awesome. My admissions advisor and financial aid advisor have been great!

  • JadeAsuarus Rex

I just started the online course which is pretty confusing, it feels like I was just thrown in the middle of stuff, but theres all sorts of videos and an advisor who keeps checking on me to make sure I'm on track, but I think imma try to switch to on campus

  • Jonathon Powell

Turns out that attending on a scholarship includes a careless mindset from staff. “Advantage” academy. Definitely had a strong appearance in the beginning, but with time, most situations are blown off along the indirect lines of, “Deal with it yourself”.

  • Thomas M Flanagan

Professor Gorgosz is one of the reason that I love going to DeVry. His attention to student needs and the weekly emails to say how you are doing in the class are among just some of the reasons I hope to have him as a teacher again in my DeVry career.

  • Alejandro Ayala

So far no complaints. Had the student advisor Albert Gutierrez by far one of their best advisors, helped with every question I had and even with turning in certain documents for financial aid. Just upsetting that he is transferring to another site.
