We've been seeing Dr. Luba for more than 17 years, and we're absolutely thrilled with this practice. Being able to book appointments online and get in within days is seriously awesome. Picture this: when you're feeling under the weather, you don't have to twiddle your thumbs for weeks before seeing the doc. Plus, they offer both in-person and telehealth appointments, which is super convenient. The best part? They're always quick to respond on their portal, usually within a few hours. Our family has some complicated health stuff going on, but Dr. Luba handles it like a champ. She's always ready to connect us with specialists and takes our needs seriously. And let's not forget about Lindsay, their care coordinator – she's top-notch. As a family practice, we can't recommend this place enough. Special shout-out to Nikki B; she's been a godsend for our family. Our kiddo used to freak out about shots and blood work, but Nikki's been so kind, patient, and understanding. She's got this magical way of throwing in just the right amount of humor, and now our kiddo doesn't sweat it at all. Plus, she's a pro at finding veins when others struggle, and my husband didn't even feel his flu shot today. If you're looking for a family doctor who genuinely cares about you and feels like part of the fam, DRFP is the place to be.

My doctor is wonderful Dr. Wheeler I love her she's the first doctor to take me seriously and not down play anything that I've come to her about. Now these reception laddies are the reason this review is 2 stars, tell me how you are going to be rude to patients that are just trying to get help, I had a birth control implant expire and I couldn't get it out for 6 MONTHS because these hateful people would not try and help me, I had to threaten to cut it out myself before anyone would listen to me. Anytime they have called me to get in touch with me just pure rude and their attitude is out of control. Don't get me wrong I can understand the healthcare industry is stressful and patients are not always the nicest but seriously making people feel worse then they already do is just simply not okay. Once I explained all of this to my doctor she was astonished and couldn't believe that's how I was being treated and I'm still being treated to this day. Every doctor I have encountered has been more than wonderful but these reception laddies need to get their act together.

I have gone to this practice for ten years or basically since they opened. I originally saw Dr. Piccione but she became their chief quality officer so I switched to Dr. Rodriguez. I’m a healthy person and rarely sick. My OBGYN did bloodwork around a year and a half ago so I had no reason to go to the doctor. I had strep twice in the last two years but couldn’t get in fast enough with Dr. Rodriguez so went to urgent care and cancelled my appointment with Dr. Rodriguez. I recently tried to make a physical appointment online but it told me to call the office. I called and they told me I’m no longer Dr. Rodriguez’s patient that they had inactivated my account because I hadn’t been in for a few years No one called and gave me notice or an opportunity to come in to keep my patient status. I was told I can see one of their new doctors and Dr. Rodriguez is full and will no longer see me. Apparently, I’m too healthy for her services. I was fired from their office with no notice and I now have to find a new doctor office. Terrible customer service.

Desert Ridge Family Physicians is a revolving door of doctors AND patients. Unfortunately, I did not bail when Dr. Wheeler did. Dr. Acuna was satisfactory in my initial visit, but things went South before I could even see him again. While patients are encouraged to communicate by e-mail through their patient portal, I found it incomprehensible that my impassioned plea for assistance went unanswered for a week. When a follow up e-mail was finally answered, I received a terse and nonsensical response. My initial judgment of Dr. Acuna was wrong. He is not patient friendly, and is more concerned with going by the Desert Ridge handbook. With their approach and policies, it is clear that Desert Ridge Family Practice is more interested in accommodating insurance companies than taking care of patients. I understand that medical providers are getting harder to find, especially for new patients. But I promise you can get better care and more attention from an urgent care center or walk-in clinic.

I drive from Sun City after having awful luck and experience with several PCPs in Sun City and fell upon this doctor on a search through my health insurance. I had one doctor slam his laptop and tell me he couldn’t see me because I was too complicated with too many conditions for him. When Dr. Perrin saw I had Autonomic Dysreflexia, he didn’t back away and was quick to ask me if I have it under control and understood my triggers, etc. I was amazed that a PCP has any understanding of AD and I’m looking forward to a strong relationship with this doctor and how he will be able to coordinate my care with all my specialists as the time approaches! Excellent job, Dr. Perrin and Desert Ridge Family Physicians!

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! Long time patient of one of the physicians here. I reported unprofessionalism front office staff and financial practices in this office which are in direct contradiction to its stated philosophy and 1 week later there has STILL been ZERO response. Will be following up with appropriate agencies as necessary. UPDATE: As of this date, Still NO response to my complaints! But I got my RX renewed and a bill. NOT SURPRISED! Last UPDATE: It has been months and I have never heard from this office. Frankly, I am not surprised. They have no intension of improving their customer service and no interest in corrective action for their errors. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

Nice office, beautiful decor, clean, modern technology. LOVE Dr Kirk and her assistant. Her assistant is always upbeat and efficient. Dr is caring and easy to talk to. I never leave feeling like she was too busy to give me her time and attention. I've grown weary of Dr's acting like they've never met you before and have no idea why you're there even though you've just explained it in detail to their assistant. Easy to make appointments online and communicate through the portal. I would prefer to make an appointment a little further out but they only allow same day or next day appointments. Not a deal breaker for me because everything else is great.

I am so happy that I found the Desert Ridge Family Physicians office and especially my doctor Chelsi Hoshiwara! This office is very professional and they give you the personal attention that so many offices lack now. Dr Hoshiwara was outstanding and she took the time to ask questions and really understand and address my needs. Her expertise is amazing and I feel so lucky that she will be my new primary doctor. She has already followed up on all of my test results and referrals and it has only been two days since my appointment. I could not be in better hands and I want to thank you Dr Hoshiwara and your excellent team!

I went to this practice for years, specifically Dr Rodriguez. While she takes time to talk, I look back and see many issues with her guidance. 1) She pushes vaccines at every visit. 2) She refused to order a baseline bone density for me at 60 years old even though my mother had osteoporosis. 3) She doesn't suggest natural supplements like glucosamine and tumeric for my arthritis and inflamation, preferring steroid shots. Lastly, scheduling is a beast at this practice. I have moved on and cannot recommend this practice.

I recently returned to visiting Dr Luba after a few years away following a change in insurance plans. I'm glad to be back! Their scheduling policy guarantees I'll see her (or very occasionally, a colleague) within 2 days. No need to have to book 6 weeks out as with my prior doctor. It's a blessing and a relief to get attended to so quickly. Her advice and guidance is always spot on, not over-reactive or dismissive or any concerns I bring up. Consistent quality care and responsiveness from herself and her team.

Doctors in this practice are not bad although getting a call back is very difficult. The worst part is scheduling: it’s either the same day or next day. But if there is no availability you have to keep calling back. It’s hit or miss and you may never get an appointment as they can always be booked for the same or next day. Also, how is one expected to leave work w/such short notice to make an appointment? Terrible scheduling practices over which, I’m sure, they are or will be losing patients.

Great first appt with Dr Wheeler at Desert Ridge Family Physicians. First time I needed to see her after my other doctor moved away. She was able to easily review my history in the system and order updated tests. The Dr and all the staff were very friendly and efficient. Love the Pre-Registration you can do from your phone before you arrive. And I was able to pay my co-pay from a card I have on file so no handling of credit card or writing a check needed!

I am not at all impressed with Desert Ridge Family Practice. I intentionally gave Dr. Acuna more than one opportunity before I fired him and went back to my prior PCP. He was short in his responses, talked over me, didn't listen at all, and then the plan moving forward was completely botched. He claimed to make a referral, they never got it, his office deflected, and I got screwed in the end. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

The office was very nice and it wasn’t crowded with a ton of people waiting. The Dr assistance was very efficient and polite, easy to talk too.. Dr Rodriguez was awesome. She took plenty of time to ask questions leading to her being able to make healthcare decisions for me. I actually enjoyed the entire visit. Not ever the case for a Dr visit. I recommend the practice and specifically Dr Rodriguez to anyone…

I'm the type of person that always have something on schedule, this place is awesome when that's the case because they take you in the same day you need it right on the spot. I cannot at 9am and get in by 2pm. Quick and easy as that. Doctor Patricia is my best, simple and super well knowledge. She is bilingual and very professional. The place is very easy to get in and not much of a wait at all.

I called to see about a new primary care physician and was told they don't have any appointments for the next week and to call back the next week and see if they have appointments. It's 2023, just put me on a list to get an appointment. I am not just going to call every week and hope they have an appointment, I'm going to find somewhere I can actually schedule with on my first call.

Our long-term doctor had decided to retire and recommended this Group practice to us. They were accepting new patients. It was easy to make an initial appointment, and we met Dr. Michael Christie who is going to become our regular GP now. He was very welcoming and he and his assistants wet were very professional in handling all of the transfer of paperwork.

Came back to Desert Ridge and make appointment within a day, now have a new doctor that is great and can answer your medical questions. Front desk is in the open, friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. Doctors' assistant very good as well. So glad I came back to Desert Ridge Family Physicians.

I recently was examined by my PCP, Dr. Patricia Rodriguez, for a leg injury. Dr. Rodriguez was kind, compassionate and thorough in her examination. It was easy to schedule this in person appointment and I was seen at my scheduled time. I highly recommend Desert Ridge Family Physicians.
