All of CPS should follow Dixon's blueprint for success because it works! I'm a parent of a 1st year Dixon student. I also happen to be a product of private school education. Let me tell you, my child is getting better than what I got at private school at Dixon. In these times where lower standards run rampant throughout schools and society, Dixon's principle and staff consistently find innovative ways to bring out the best in students and their families. Dixon staff realizes children will live up to or down to whatever standards you set before them. They keep the standards HIGH. They know our children are every bit as intelligent as anyone else. As my Momma use to say either s%*t or get up off the pot! They unapologetically keep the standards high to keep our children strong. I LOVE DIXON!

My grandson experiences at Dixon were outstanding. They have an Higher Order Thinking skills curriculum. The school has outstanding extracurricular activities for the students after school, and they have phenomenal bands which was an enthusiastic Daniel member.Dixon provides excellent technological resources to assist in increasing their students reading scores. Also, the computer application Study Island assisted them in reinforcing reading and math skills. The students have textbooks and workbooks for each curriculum.Kudos to Dixon, Ms. Dale(principal), teachers and staff. Daniel reading score for 2014-2015 NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association) was 214 two points above the normal 6th grade level. I am the proud grandmother of Daniel Cottrell, whom is missing Dixon.

Dixon is a business focus. The children learn these educational aspects through, among other courses and events, their "Cultural Connections" juried art fair. This is held in March during the second or third weekend. I have personally been a guest for 15 of the 17 years in the event's existence.

Best school ever. You learn college work at 5th and 6th grade and 95 percent get test scores higher then only 90 percent or higher in the USA and this start in 4th grade and up.

I go to Dixon school and I love it there all the teachers are nice and we learn a lot all the programs are great I love it there. Dixon #1. Always
