This bookstore is in an awesome area! Walking around Valencia is always great! This is a must stop for anyone who enjoys a good read. They have a good book selection of books. Be sure you will find a gem here. Whether you are looking for a popular read, classic or a unique book… you will find it here. Book selection They have a large selection of used books, which is organized alphabetically… If you are in the constant search in the used section you know how great this is. Their Spanish section is small compared to other bookstores in SF. Which also doesn’t make sense since this serves a Spanish speaking community. Their critical race studies and political reads section is one of the best around! Also they have a good magazine section! They have the San Franciscan issues available here.

The sheer number of independent bookstores is one of the main reasons I moved to this neighborhood (and this city), and this is the first one that I have stepped inside since moving here. I really liked it; it was cozy and welcoming. Even though it was small, there was a diverse selection of books, with many that piqued my curiosity. I picked up 2 used books (including a vintage paperback copy of A Streetcar Named Desire that advertises the 80s made-for-tv movie!) one new book, and a couple stickers. I will definitely be returning, although there are about a million more bookstores for me to explore so it might be awhile.

Small bookstore in the Mission that has a wide array of titles and some really neat finds hidden throughout the shelves. I believe their used book prices are a little pricey however, just based on other used bookstores in the city. Some of their used books are in less than stellar condition and they're selling them for 9 bucks! Might as well take your chances on eBay at that point. Still, I love to browse the shelves whenever I'm in the Mission and the staff is always happy to answer any questions you might have.

I was walking towards Dolores Park on a hot day when I spotted this book store. The name was clever, so I stopped in to take a look. It's a very nice and cozy bookstore. There were journals, notebooks, novels, fiction, non-fiction etc. It's a small store but packed with so much. I had to remind myself that I was doing a lot of walking that day so I couldn't go overboard in purchasing books. The employee was helpful and welcoming.

Dog Eared Books is a wonderful bookstore! This little bookshop tucked away in the city, has to be one of my favorites. They have a wonderful staff, and great titles to choose from. I really enjoy the atmosphere. I'm really drawn to the titles from local authors that they carry. The environment is welcoming, and you can get lost in this place for hours.. Please support your local businesses.

This is another great indie bookstore! They have a great selection of philosophy books, which I gravitate towards in any such place. The location is pretty convenient in that there are a lot of nice places to eat and enjoy yourself. I've purchased a number of books here by now, and I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for reading material on most anything. Check this place out!

It's not a big shop, but it's easy to get lost looking at the carefully curated selection of books here, like vintage paperbacks from the 1950s tucked away in the back. There's also interesting art, masks, and other collectibles on the walls, hanging from posts, or displayed on top of the shelves.

What a lovely bookstore! The selection is impressive. I liked their graphic novel selection especially, and their highlighting of local authors. It’s not overwhelming but still offers an ample of selection (that is mostly fiction). They also had a nice collection of books in Spanish.

Super cheap books! Both new and used across a broad range of topics. The staff is really helpful and happy to give recommendations. They have books from local authors and illustrators along with well-known mainstream literature. It’s surrounded by great stores and restaurants, too.

I loved this place! They have many interesting books about many topics and some queer literature hidden gems ✨️ They even have a Japanese manga and comic section with some books for those who are into BDSM and more dark topics like "The Sandman." …

One of my favorite book shops in the city for new and used books. Love the staff picks and how they display the new arrivals. There is a small children's section upfront. They buy select used books (generally paperback if paperback is already out).

Excellent 'old-fashioned' bookstore with a wide selection and well-sorted books. New and used items available - hardcovers, graphic-novels, all there. Staff was friendly and competent. If you like good bookstores, this is the place!

Great local bookstore. Parking is a bit tough in the area. Prices are reasonable with some really good deals to be found. Not a huge selection, but they have something for everyone. Highly recommend!

Huge selection of both new and used books! The folks running the front are also very informative about finding a book you're looking for and whether or not they have it in-stock.

Sweet spot to just browse books. They have some notes posted on books to give their take on that book. It's interesting. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by for sure.
