BvgWent in spent 33.00 on things my grandma needed and proceeded to checkout used my card and it asked me if I wanted debit or credit I choose debit put in my code gathered my bags and left to finish my errands after some time and my last transaction declined I checked my account to see what the pr1oblem was and needless to say a bit upset to see I was charged 83.00 plus a fee so I went back to my grandma's checked my receipt and shocked to find it said I received cash back in the sum of 50.00 when I called the store and told the lady who answered what happened she proceeded to tell me "I had to of done it" and "had to of selected the option for cash back" when I told her I was only given a credit or debit option she then asked me if I pushed 000 confused I asked what that did she proceeded to tell me I had to select that option and I stated I had never been told that nor had I ever had to anywhere else and pointed out the fact they had a sign even stating no cash back. Then she said she needed to see the receipt when she heard me tell my mother asking her to take it up as I was unavailable too she said it had to be me . I then told her I would be up before closing. My mother rushes back after leaving me to tell me the lady called back and needed to know who the manager on duty was?... How the he'll am I supposed to know that at 20 till 10pm I walked up to the doors to find them locked. Apparently they needed that 50 more than my daughter did for her birthday. This is one store ill not ever return too

I had an amazing experience at this store last week. I went in to just grab a couple things and was in a hurry so I ask a very nice lady , Theresa, where certain items were. She was at the cashier stand helping a long line of people but she multitask and told me the isles my items would be. Once I got my stuff I proceeded to her checkout line. There were still several people in front of me so I watched how fast and friendly she was to everyone in line. Even though she was busy she never lost her beautiful smile and positive attitude. It was amazing watching her answer questions, ring items up, place returns behind her and not once did she loose her patience. I paid for my items and with a very friendly voice she said thanks for coming in. I hope you’ll come back. Theresa made my experience at Dollar General one where if I lived in Indianapolis I’d always go to that store. Please give her my thanks from an out of Towner just needed a few forgotten things. You ROCK

The store cleared my account, kept my items and haven't put my money back. And won't answer any number I call I had a total of 14 dollars, I walk my car is broke down. I was trying to get my grandson a birthday card. I checked my account at the store before I left. My house burnt down, and my husband died in February. I'm just trying to get by. If I have to walk across town to get my money I'm gonna be angry with your company. Morris St, Indianapolis In. And they told me my money would be back at the of the day, when my bank gave them an option to put it back immediately. Tomorrow will be 4 days, no money and obviously no birthday Card

I came here to get starting fluid but that they did not have any starting fluid they do have Fix-A-Flat and a few other items for the automotive section they also have clothing a decent selection they do have many of your common household food items that you would normally have to go to the grocery store to get so the convenience there is definitely a plus I would definitely recommend going to the Dollar General to anybody it is a fast way to get normal everyday items and a good way to make dinner and get toiletries and stuff like that overall a good place to shop

This store never has anything stocked. If you absolutely need something dont come here. They won't have it ! The days they get trucks in %95 of the isles are blocked I guess because none of these people can preform a stocking job with people around. Such and inconveniece. The employees who are there do nothing but stand around and talk. Lines to back of store. One register open 24/7 and the person behind it will %100 have an attitude. Hire better management and do better

All the times me and my family ,my white mom and siblings that don't look mixed, went in here, everyone was polite and nice. My Mexican Dad decided to join us this time, and got the cops called on him for standing in the toy isle with his kids. It was a white dude that is usually nice. His true side came out when he seen who our father was. He is a racist pig and because of that experience, me and my family will never shop at that store ever again.

One of the bigger stores!Very very friendly employees they will go out of their way to help you.They have a very large selection of merchandise,they are even cheaper then the family dollar across the street on milk!Clean and the store is always picked up!They always say hello no matter how busy they are.They try & keep shelf’s stocked even though this is like the store for the neighborhood.

This place is so dirty but unfortunately this is the closest for a last minute groceries. Today was spaghetti sauce. The other evening it was very crowded and 8 or 9 in line which would have went faster if the one girl would have quit watching videos on her cell phone. When I told the manager she just shrugged her shoulders...I wish there were better places to shop in this area.

1 cashier. Line was down middle aisle and half way to back of store. Another working was stocking shelves. The shelves was completely trashed and the worker said "the tweakers come in and just mess stuff up all the time so we don't bother fixing the stuff because they will do it again". Ended up not even staying for the wait because the cashier was in no hurry...

Love the employees, they're always friendly and helpful. I am a daily shopper and I won't go to any other Dollar General. The store is always clean and easy to locate items needed. If they don't have what I need Donny the Manager is always willing to order it for me if possible. Angie is the best cashier, with the most pleasant attitude. Mary is great too!

Very poor customer service. I didn't get greeted when walked in so I didn't feel welcomed. When I was ready to check out, the cashier didn't smile or speak so it made me feel uncomfortable. The isles were unorganized and I found nothing that I was looking for. Hopefully if I every gave to go back, I could give more stars.

I was a little dissappointed but i do understand that it has been hard for businesses to hire adequate help since the extra money offered on unemployment. I have been over worked myself due to ppl calling off work a lot more this past year. SHOUT OUT to all who do show up for work and get their job(s) done!

I like the product selection and the prices for the most part. Their staff availability is pathetic. About 5 or more customers in line and no back up help is what makes the shopping experience really bad. They used to have a wonderful cashier but the rest of the staff apparently drove her away.

I'm usually a fan of dollar stores but the staff at this one can be a little disrespectful. I suggest going to the Family Dollar across the street. It's basically the same merchandise, same prices but nicer people. Also, this store does not carry ethnic haircare products.

The place is not kept up very well but people working they don't seem to care it's constantly temporarily closed at random With no excuse why They really need to close it down and put a grocery store or something in there That would be more beneficial to the neighborhood

Not everything you need can be found in the place they tell you to go search for it but to make up for that the employees will help you find what ever it is you are looking for, I appreciate the fact that they are realy ambitious about helping eho ever is in need

The Spanish female lady in cashier is sweet,nice, kind, and porfessional. Please acknowledge her attitude and performance. She should be an example for Dollar General customer service in nation. Thank you very much for being kind and an example of humanity.

I don't really shop at Dollar General. But this is the only store other than the family dollar. They're both pretty horrible. They always have things in the aisle. That needs to be put up but are never put up. But the audacity for me is

My experience with Dollar General on Morris n belmont was great. The store was well put together. Greatly stocked. The cashier I had was polite, she greated with manners n a smile. And quickly. I have been shopping there for 3yrs.

Good place to shop but god forbid you ask the Hispanic girl that rang me out if they have cherry pies she won't look or even ask for assistance she just said nope sorry they have some at family Dollar that was kinda weird but ok

Go here cause there is nothing else to go to.it is a bigger store but they are out of a lot of things most of the time. They could stand to do a little deep cleaning & would be nice if guest could use one of the bathrooms

I gave 3 stars because I love the staff. Unfortunately they are never stocked and this isn't just due to this pandemic. Is there a shortage of ground black pepper? I've been looking for months. Alcohol I understand.

Use to be Nice cashiers. Now they look likr addicts and the customer service is horrible. Tammy is the manager and she is horrible as well. She doesn't train her cashiers to have proper customer service.

The shelves were empty. Going into the store, the trash can was over flowing and trash was all over. The entrance is really nasty. I'm sure you're company could afford to clean this store up. Thank you.

I always go to the dollar store to buy one or two things and when I leave I can't carry the bags cuz I see so many good deals and find things that I didn't even know I wanted I love going there!!!!!

The employees are extremely nice. I feel bad for them because they don't have enough help for this super busy store and customers are buttheads and take it out on them due to the long line.

This location seems to always be in a state of disarray like they are shelving, un-shelving, and re-shelving the same product. It blocks the aisles, creating an inconvenience for customers.

Victoria is probably one of the best associates I’ve came in contact with!! She’s thorough with her job and pleasant to interact with! They usually keep the store pretty clean and stocked.

This community is diverse this stores refused to stock beauty products for a range of their customers. Service is generally good, price are hit and miss depending on what you need.

The renovation was definitely needed it is the best around west Morris Street. Fresh produce plenty of milk and food items! Only downside is some things seem very disorganized.

The workers were nice & polite but didn't know where anything was or if they even carried the item I was looking for but they was very polite & that's a big plus for me...

No carts because they have none. Long lines and frequently out of stock on the products I need. Save yourself time and go to family dollar right across the street.

Casher wouldn't let me get the amount of cash back I needed be cause she said "I just dropped in the safe and don't want to have to turn around and get cash".

These stores are great for quick shopping trips, they cram a lot of items into a small space! I'm amazed at some of the things I have unexpectedly found here!

It's right across the street from Family Dollar, has better prices and selection, and usually enough staff 2 keep 2 cash registers open when needed.
